Trump DOJ to California: Drop the Glock Ban or Get Sued

Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon advised Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) and California AG Rob Bonta on Wednesday to drop their Glock ban or face a lawsuit.

Dhillon posted to X: “Today, I notified Newsom and Bonta to drop the unconstitutional restrictions on law-abiding citizens’ rights to purchase legal firearms before the ban goes into effect, or we will sue. Stay tuned!”

Breitbart News reported that Newsom signed California’s Glock ban into law on October 10, 2025.It is set to take effect on July 1, 2026.

The ban was sponsored by Democrat lawmakers and fashioned as a response to the use of “Glock switches,” which are already illegal. “Glock switches” are federally prohibited plastic pieces that can be affixed to the rear of a Glock slide to make the pistol shoot full auto.

Such switches are wildly popular with gangs and street criminals — therefore California Democrats are banning new sales of one of the most popular handguns ever made, the Glock pistol.

On May 12, 2025, Breitbart News pointed to the language of the Glock ban legislation, noting thatDemocrats secured passage of the ban by labeling Glocks as “machinegun-convertible pistol[s].”

Newsom and Bonta are now on notice that the DOJ will take action if they allow the ban to go into effect.

Peru: Leftist Candidate Says He Will Not Recognize Conservative Presidential Win

Peruvian radical leftist lawmaker and presidential candidate Roberto Sánchez announced on Tuesday that he will not recognize the victory of conservative former first lady Keiko Fujimori,as Peru’s slow vote-counting process nears its end.

Peru has marked more than three weeks without any final results from the extremely close June 7 presidential runoff election between Fujimori and Sánchez.The election, much like its first round, has been marred by a slow vote-counting process by National Electoral Processes Office (ONPE).

As of Wednesday morning, with 99.859 percent of all votes counted, Fujimori holds a 43,386-vote lead against Sánchez. In the past days, Fujimori has extended her once extremely narrow vote lead over Sánchez as the last batches of vote tallies, including foreign votes cast by Peruvians living abroad, were counted. While international outlets stated on Wednesday that it is “mathematically impossible” for Sánchez to take the lead with only 0.141 percent of the votes left to count, no Peruvian authority has proclaimed a winner at press time.

Sánchez, a lawmaker running for president representing the Together for Peru far-left coalition, told reporters on Tuesdaythat he will not recognize an eventual Fujimori government because, according to him, there has been a “serious disruption of the electoral process,” suggesting irregularities with the overseas vote in which the conservative candidate obtained an overwhelming victory. The candidate argued that changes in the foreign vote logistics purportedly carried out by the Peruvian Foreign Ministry affected the “transparency” of the process. Sánchez called for a rally for Saturday, June 27, in response to a possible Fujimori victory.

“For us, this serious irregularity approved by the ONPE amounts to an ongoing fraud, because the votes cast at consular offices continue to be counted,” Sánchez reportedly claimed.

“We call on the social movement and the democratic forces to restore democracy to Peru, so that we do not face another five years of the hijacking of democracy and our institutions, as has been happening under Ms. Fujimori’s parliamentary government. We call for democratic resistance in our regions and throughout Peru,” Sánchez said.

RPP noted that, on June 8, one day after the presidential runoff election, Sánchez had affirmed that he would recognize the results of the election regardless of the outcome.

In recent days, Together for Peru sought to file a request before Peru’s electoral authorities seeking to nullify a significant amount of the votes cast by Peruvians abroad.

Foreign votes were crucial in allowing Fujimori to take the lead against Sánchez as the final votes rolled in. Per ONPE’s preliminary results, Fujimori obtained 63.2 percent of the foreign vote, while Sánchez only obtained 36.7 percent. Per the preliminary results, Fujimori obtained a more than 81,300 vote difference among foreign voters.

Hours after Sánchez delivered his remarks, Radio Programas del Perú (RPP) reported that a Special Electoral Jury in Lima rejected the requests presented against the foreign votes on grounds that Together for Peru filed them twelve days after the established legal deadline and because the far-left coalition failed to pay the corresponding submission fees as stated by local law. Per RPP, a Special Electoral Jury in Lima Centro instead issued a call for attention to the conduct of the representatives of the leftist coalition. The Special Jury also reportedly rejected other requests filed by other individuals against voting tables in the United States, France, and Spain.

The far-left candidate further affirmed that the Saturday rally will demand the “freedom” for Marxist former President Pedro Castillo, who was arrested and removed from office in 2022 following an attempt to unconstitutionally dissolve Congress and stage a “self-coup.” Castillo was convicted in November to 11.5 years in prison.

On Tuesday, ONPE released a public statement indicating that the institution is waiting for the resolution of voting minutes reviewed by the Special Electoral Jury (JEE) to tally them into the total vote count, finally concluding the vote-counting process.

Teenager cleared of murdering nine-year-old girl

A teenage boy has been found not guilty of killing a nine-year-old girl in her home.

The 16-year-old, who cannot be named due to his age, was on trial accused of murder and manslaughter following the death of Aria Thorpe. A jury returned verdicts of not guilty for both charges at Bristol Crown Court earlier.

A pathologist previously told the court Aria died of a single stab wound to her chest at her home in Weston-super-Mare on 15 December 2025.

After her death, the nine-year-old's family paid tribute to her "lively and bubbly" personality.

Some jurors were visibly emotional as they returned their not guilty verdicts and Aria's mother left the courtroom immediately afterwards.

The accused did not visibly react to the verdicts.

The teenager, who was 15 at the time of Aria's death, had told jurors he and the nine-year-old had been playfighting when she moved towards him and the knife he was holding went into her chest.

"I was going to try and make her flinch, so I leaned forward like I was fencing," he said.

3I/ATLAS may not be an alien spacecraft, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t life on the interstellar comet that recently passed through our solar system.

NASA this week shared new analysis about the object that grabbed the Earth’s attention, including estimates 3I/ATLAS could be up to 12 billion years old — more than twice as old as this planetary system.

The comet also includes carbon and other elements that form the basis of life as humans know it, scientists said.

And along those lines, Harvard University theoretical physicist Avi Loeb notes another intriguing characteristic: 3I/ATLAS emitted methane, a potential biosignature, as it passed the sun.

“The question arises … Is it indicative that there are microbes in this iceberg?” he told “Elizabeth Vargas Reports” on Wednesday. “You don’t need a lot of mass in microbes that are embedded within this object in order to generate observed methane.”

The observed data is another example of how there are “lots of puzzles about this visitor,” Loeb said.

Loeb is head of the Galileo Project, a research group that searches for evidence of extraterrestrial technology. For several months, he drew wide notice by speculating 3I/ATLAS could be some sort of alien tech, based on a host of anomalies that could not immediately be explained.

NASA has always considered the object a naturally occurring comet, albeit one with unusual features. Scientists say 3I/ATLAS is only the third known interstellar comet to enter our solar system and possibly the oldest.

At 12 billion years old, 3I/ATLAS was formed relatively soon after the “big bang” that spawned the universe 14 billion years ago.

Loeb leads new UAP advisory panel

Loeb is leading a new panel of civilian experts formed to advise federal authorities about “unidentified anomalous phenomena.”

Formation of the UAP Science Advisory Council comes as the Pentagon, at President Trump’s request, has begun releasing tranches of so-called UFO files, including videos of aerial objects that appear to defy conventional abilities of human-made craft.

Loeb says his panel can recommend ways to collect better data about UAP, which could help the government evaluate potential national security threats. He said there’s also the possibility data could identify something that is not human.

“There is a completely different mindset following President Trump’s directive. We are trying to figure it out together, in cooperation, and I hope that all the suspicion against government hiding things will be forgotten once we get to the bottom of this,” he said recently.

Supreme Court Strikes Down Democrat Hawaii Law Restricting Concealed Carry Permitholders

In a major win for Second Amendment rights, the Supreme Court has sided with three Hawaii residents, overturning a law that barred concealed-carry permitholders from exercising their rights in public.

All three liberal justices dissented in the 6-3 ruling.

Hawaii enacted the measure, known as Act 52, in the wake of the Supreme Court’s Second Amendment expansion.

Act 52 requires concealed carry permitholders to get explicit permission from a property owner, either verbally, in writing or via a “clear and conspicuous” sign, before carrying handguns on private property that is open to the public.

Three Hawaii residents — Jason Wolford, Alison Wolford and Atom Kasprzycki — and the Hawaii Firearms Coalition challenged the provision in federal court.

They won before a district judge but sought the Supreme Court’s review after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit sided with the state.

“This law departs sharply from the standard common-law rule on access to private property held open to the public. Under that rule, everyone, including those lawfully carrying firearms, may enter unless expressly prohibited from doing so. By contrast, under the new Hawaii law, no one carrying a firearm may enter without the property owner’s express authorization,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote in the majority opinion for the court.

“This regime hobbles what the Second Amendment protects: the right of Americans to carry arms for self-defense as they go about their daily lives. We hold that the law is unconstitutional.”

This comes after the Supreme Court also ruled in favor of gun rights for marijuana users in Texas after a man argued his Second Amendment was violated by a law barring gun ownership by anyone who uses drugs illegally.

In a 6-3 decision, the high court ruled that migrants cannot apply for asylum until they step foot in the United States.

The three liberal justices, Sotomayor, Kagan and Jackson dissented.

In a rare move, Sotomayor read her dissent from the bench.

Conservative Supreme Court Justice Alito wrote the majority opinion.

“In ordinary speech, no one would say that a person “arrives in” a place—for example, a house, a city, or a country—before the person enters that place,” Alto wrote.

“The context in which the phrase “arrives in the United States” is used in the immigration statutes at issue here supports an ordinary-meaning reading. So does the presumption against extraterritoriality. We therefore reverse,” Alito wrote.

U.S. immigration officials can turn away asylum seekers at the Mexican border, the Supreme Court ruled on Thursday.

In a 6-3 decision, the justices greenlit a “metering” policy devised under the Obama administration and expanded during President Donald Trump’s first term, under which Customs and Border Protection agents posted on bridges between Mexico and the U.S. turned back many asylum seekers.

The high court’s ruling overturned lower-court decisions that found Congress intended to permit any immigrant approaching a border checkpoint to file for asylum.

The ORME related to Star Fire, and also known as The Philosopher’s Stone, the Elixir of Life, the White Powder of Gold, Ma-na or Manna, even potentially Morning Dew is also an acronym for “Orbitally Rearranged Monoatomic Elements”. The phrase was coined by David Radius Hudson, who has done an enormous amount of research on the subject (of which he has in turn shared with thousands of others). The word ORME perhaps coincidentally, or perhaps not is the same as the Hebrew word which means: the “Tree of Life”.

However and this is an important "however" with regards to the ORME (as well as the ORMUS, White Powder of Gold, Philosopher’s Stone, Elixir of Life, Food of the Gods, Star Fire, the Ark of the Covenant, Alchemy, Secrets, Transmutation, Biological and otherwise, and, of course, giving my regards to Broadway), there is a new kid on the block, a new development that really must be noted. It is The Book of Aquarius, a delightful treatise on The Great Work of Alchemy. Inasmuch as The Great Work is ultimately attaining the same abilites as from the ORME, but from a wholly different approach, both avenues need to be explored.

A U.S. senator from Arizona is behind an effort to recognize the Artemis II crew with a Congressional honor rarely awarded to astronauts.

Separate bills were introduced Wednesday, June 24, by Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Arizona, and retiring Nebraska GOP Rep. Don Bacon in both the Senate and House to award the Artemis II crew a Congressional Gold Medal.

The bipartisan legislation comes more than two months after the four astronauts returned from the first crewed moon mission in more than half a century.

The bills would first have to pass through Congress and be signed into law by President Donald Trump.

If that were to happen, the Artemis II astronauts would become just the second ever crew to receive a Congressional Gold Medal after the honor was bestowed on the Apollo 11 crew in 2009 – 40 years after that historic mission.

Kelly and Bacon introduced the legislation more than two months after NASA's Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch and the Canadian Space Agency's Jeremy Hansen returned from the landmark Artemis II spaceflight.

To date, the only other time astronauts were awarded the medal was in 2009 when Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins received the honor for their part in the historic Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969.

Who is Mark Kelly? Former astronaut went to space 4 times

Kelly, a retired NASA astronaut, attended the April launch from Florida of the historic crewed spaceflight around the moon.

Prior to his career as a public servant, Kelly, 61, was a Navy fighter pilot who saw combat and also a NASA astronaut who piloted – and even commanded – four NASA space shuttle missions between 2001 and 2011.

During his astronaut career, Kelly spent a total of 50 days in space and traveled more than 20 million miles, according to his senate biography.

Kelly ultimately retired from both the Navy and NASA in 2011 – the same year that his wife, Gabby Giffords, a former Democratic congresswoman from Arizona, was shot and nearly killed in an attempted assassination.

He was first elected in 2020 as a U.S. senator. Mark Kelly's twin brother Scott Kelly was also a NASA astronaut.

Haley’s Call for a Special Forces Mission to Secure Iran’s Uranium

In April 2026, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and 2024 presidential candidate Nikki Haley stated that the United States would probably need to deploy special forces into Iran to secure and remove the country’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium. NASA’s TESS Mission Reveals the “Puffiest” Planets Ever Found

Data from NASA’s TESS (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite) mission has revealed two new “super-puff” planets, giant worlds so light that their density is comparable to cotton candy.

Scientists calculate that these Jupiter-sized planets—named TOI-791 b and TOI-791 c—are the “puffiest” worlds ever found.

The planets orbit a Sun-like star named TOI-791 that is approximately 1,113 light years away from Earth.

The TESS mission first detected the planets by watching for repeated dips in TOI-791’s brightness, a telltale sign that a planet is transiting, or passing in front of, a star. Further study revealed two large planets with unusual features.

TOI-791 b is nearly the same size as Jupiter but contains just 3.0 percent of Jupiter’s mass. TOI-791 c is even larger than Jupiter but contains just 5.9 percent of Jupiter’s mass.

“The main reason these planets are interesting to study is that we didn’t expect to see them at all,” said Jon Jenkins, the science lead for the Science Processing Operations Center at NASA’s Ames Research Center in California’s Silicon Valley, which provided the science-ready data from TESS analyzed in this study.

“They represent a puzzle for us to solve about how giant planets like Jupiter and the super-puffs form.”

The newly found super-puffs also have unusually long orbits, with TOI‑791 b taking 139 days and TOI‑791 c taking 232 days to circle the host star. Such long-orbit planets are rare to find, needing long durations of telescope observation to capture and confirm their attributes.

From its vantage point in high Earth orbit, TESS was able to gather 1,122 days of data on this planetary system over the course of seven years, giving the research team a wealth of data about the planetary system.

Further analysis found that TOI-791 b and TOI-791 c are locked in an orbital pattern that allows them to tug on each other gravitationally.

As they orbit their host star, the planets alternate pulling on each other, affecting the timing of their transits across the host star. Scientists used that variation in orbital timing to calculate the planets’ masses, cementing their status as low density super-puffs.

“Only a handful of these super-puffy planets are known, and it is even rarer to find two in the same system,” said lead author George Dansfield of Oxford University’s Department of Physics in Oxford, England.

“Their extremely low densities make them fascinating targets for understanding how planetary systems form and evolve.”

With further study, the super-puffs may have more to tell us about planetary evolution.

“Large planet formation is believed to drive the evolution of a planetary system, so further study of these Jupiter-size, but far less than Jupiter-mass, planets is of high value,” said Steve Howell, a NASA Ames research scientist who was involved in this study.

Scientists hope to learn more about the chemical makeup of the planets’ atmospheres, how their spin affects their shape, and how the tilt of their host star compares to their orbits.

Deeper investigation could provide new insight into how TOI-791 b and TOI-791 c migrated through the planetary system during their development, whether their orbits were shaped by interactions with other planets, and how low-density super-puff planets form.
