Bayer Stock Soars After Supreme Court Guts Core Legal Theory Behind 1000s Of Roundup Cases
Bayer AG shares soared in Frankfurt on Thursday morning after the Supreme Court sided with the German pharmaceutical and life sciences giant in a major Roundup ruling expected to block thousands of lawsuits alleging it failed to warn consumers that the weedkiller could cause cancer.
Bloomberg reported that the Supreme Court voted 7 - 2 to throw out a $1.25 million jury verdict won by Missouri resident John Durnell, who blamed years of Roundup exposure for his non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
The first opinion is in Monsanto v. Durnell. The court holds that the federal law governing pesticide labels bars a lawsuit against Monsanto, the maker of Roundup weedkiller, for failing to include a warning on the label about the risks of cancer.https://t.co/cPzdF5lgH5
Justice Brett Kavanaugh wrote for the majority that federal law "demands" uniform pesticide labels and that the state-law "failure-to-warn" claim at issue in the case "would require a cancer warning on Roundup's label, a requirement 'in addition to' and 'different from' the label required by EPA."
Justices Ketanji Brown Jackson and Neil Gorsuch dissented.
The ruling is a major milestone in Bayer's years-long court battle over Roundup, which it acquired from Monsanto for $63 billion in 2018. The company has since stopped using glyphosate in Roundup products sold at major retailers.
Earlier this year, Bayer announced a proposed $7.25 billion class action settlement to resolve tens of thousands of current and future lawsuits.

The Scots had the daunting task of taking on the five-time winners in Miami in their third and final group stage match.
But there was a far more frightening prospect at stake after a whacky conspiracy theorist predicted that there would be an alien invasion during the match.

She said in a tearful video: “Guys, I have to tell you that I dreamed again about aliens invading the soccer field in Miami.
“And I clearly saw the players being carried off by the first ship that arrived. I was inside that ship.
“When the ship rose, the mothership arrived, a much larger ship, and took in thousands of people from the soccer field.
“I saw so much screaming, so much crying, so many tears, suffering. I have to tell you that I am very terrified because, well, it is the second time I am dreaming about this.
“And they are saying that on the 24th, something very bad is about to happen at this game, at this soccer field in Miami, in the United States.”
Surprisingly, Vo Bahiana’s prediction did not prove true – but Scotland might have wished for one as they put in equally catastrophic performance.
A double from Brazil star Vinicius Jr and second-half Matheus Cunha goal condemned Scotland to a 3-0 loss and leaves them sweating on qualification.
The eight best third-placed teams progress to the last 32 based on a ranking. That is determined by points, goal difference, goals scored, fair-play status and Fifa ranking.
Meanwhile Neymar – undeterred by the threat of alien abduction – made his first appearance of the tournament coming on with 15 minutes to go.

US President Donald Trump said he has been disappointed by most NATO members over their refusal to support the US-Israeli bombing campaign against Iran.
The president made the remarks during a meeting with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte at the White House on Wednesday.He singled out the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain for criticism.
“We were disappointed with most of them,”Trump said.
“I just want loyalty. You know, we’re so loyal to them. We are always fighting for them,”Trump argued, noting that the US has troops stationed in several European countries.
“In Germany, we have 50,000 troops. And then you want a little – give us a little nudge, give us a little kiss. We don’t want much. And they say, ‘No, we can’t do it,’” he said.
Trump labeled Spain “terrible” for what he described as wanting “a free ride” and not spending enough on defense.
Rutte sought to downplay the disagreements without directly challenging Trump. “I do agree there is a reason for disappointment, absolutely. But my argument is this:These are isolated cases,”he said. He argued that, despite voicing opposition to the war with Iran, countries such as Germany and Romania had fulfilled all their “bilateral commitments” to the US.
US aircraft flew between 4,000 and 5,000 missions from bases in Europe during the first six weeks of the conflict, Rutte said. He later displayed a chart showing that European investment in the US supports 83,000 jobs.
In March, Spain refused to allow the US to use its bases for strikes on Iran, prompting outrage at the White House. Trump said German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, andother critics of the Iran campaign should focus on “fixing” their own countries.
Merz later said he would not recommend that his children travel to the US due to what he described as its “social climate.”(KEK after millions of foreigners came to America for FIFA and loved America. These people are stupid while destroying their own countries)
In the most recent public spat between the allies, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni accused Trump of spreading “completely fabricated” claims after he said she had “begged” him to take a photo with her during a recent G7 summit in France.

FDNY EMT Arrested at JFK after CBP Officers Discover 14,000 Images and Videos of Child Sexual Abuse Material on His Phone
A 23-year-old active FDNY Emergency Medical Technician was arrested at John F. Kennedy International Airport after U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers uncovered approximately 14,000 images and videos of suspected child sexual abuse material on his phone.
The arrest happened on June 1, 2026, when the traveler, a U.S. citizen employed as an EMT with the Fire Department of the City of New York, arrived at JFK from Santiago, Dominican Republic, according to CBP.
He was referred to secondary inspection, where CBP officers from the Human Trafficking Unit conducted a baggage and electronic device examination.
What they found was horrifying.
A hidden folder on the device contained roughly 14,000 images and videos depicting “adults engaged in sexual acts with prepubescent children, prepubescent and pubescent children engaged in sexual acts, and pubescent and age-indeterminate individuals engaged in sexual acts.”
The phone also contained the MEGA cloud storage application, a tool notorious for its end-to-end encryption that predators exploit to store and distribute illegal child sexual abuse material while making it extremely difficult for law enforcement to access without credentials.
On the same day, the defendant appeared in Queens Supreme Criminal Court and was arraigned on New York state sexual offense charges.

The Executive branch is too easily thwarted by partisan judges. This is a major flaw in the system. Consider that many of these judges could be rogue agents of foreign governments or global interests who worked their way to become judges through the lax immigration system and affirmative action.
