Former Senior CIA Officer With Top-Secret Clearance ARRESTED After FBI Raid Home And Seize 300 Gold Bars Worth $40 Million — Plus $2 Million Cash And 35 Luxury Watches
A former senior CIA officer with top-secret security clearance has been arrested after federal agents raided his Virginia home and seized roughly 300 gold bars worth more than $40 million, along with approximately $2 million in cash and 35 luxury watches, mostly Rolexes.
The officer, identified as David Rush, who held a management position at the agency, now faces charges of criminal theft of public money.
According to NBC News, Rush allegedly used his position to request large amounts of gold and foreign currency, claiming they were for “work-related expenses,” only to allegedly divert and stash them at his Fairfax County residence.
On May 18, federal agents searched the home and walked out with the massive gold hoard. Investigators had earlier found only a portion of the funds in a storage space near his office.
Rush had requested the assets between November and March, according to an FBI affidavit.
The CIA’s own internal audit couldn’t account for the gold or significant foreign currency, prompting CIA Director John Ratcliffe to refer the matter to the FBI for criminal investigation.
Asked about Rush’s case, a CIA spokesperson said in a statement joint statement with the FBI that the FBI had arrested a person after a referral from the agency.
After a CIA internal investigation identified potential violations of the law, CIA Director John Ratcliffe referred the information to the FBI for a law enforcement investigation,” the written statement said. “The FBI is working closely with our partners at the CIA and the Department of Justice as we continue to investigate this matter fully. We are committed to following the facts, ensuring accountability, and pursuing justice in accordance with the law.”
The case raises questions about the effectiveness of the federal government’s security vetting, which is supposed to ensure intelligence officers or other government employees don’t betray the public trust or spy for foreign countries.
The U.S. government conducts background investigations on every prospective employee at the CIA and other agencies granted access to sensitive and secret information. And after employees are hired, the government continues to monitor their financial activities, travel, credit records and other information through automated checks to ensure they aren’t vulnerable to blackmail.

DOJ Launches Criminal Investigation Into Trump Rape Accuser E. Jean Carroll
The Justice Department launched a criminal investigation into Trump rape accuser E. Jean Carroll.
In 2019, E. Jean Carroll alleged that Donald Trump raped her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the 1990s but she could not name the date or even the year this allegedly took place.
Carroll previously said ‘rape is sexy’ and a ‘fantasy’ – CNN’s Anderson Cooper was so disturbed he cut to a commercial break.
Federal investigators are probing whether Carroll perjured herself when she said under oath that no outside source was paying her legal fees.
E. Jean Carroll told then-Trump attorney Alina Habba under oath that no one was helping her pay her legal fees.
However, it was later revealed that billionaire Reid Hoffman was bankrolling Carroll’s legal fees.

John Cornyn probably never had a chance to keep his seat. The senior Republican senator from Texas has repugnant, far-right politics. He even used the confirmation hearing for Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson to float legal theories for ending same-sex marriage. But he is mild-mannered — a flaw in today’s GOP — and he doesn’t have a history of flashy corruption scandals and adultery*, unlike Ken Paxton, the state attorney general who handily defeated him in the Republican primary on Tuesday night.
Paxton is just a bigger scoundrel than Cornyn, so of course he drew a last-minute endorsement from Donald Trump, who took credit for Paxton’s victory, gloating on Truth Social with a meme declaring “Ken Paxton wins! Endorsed by Trump!” over a photo of the president glowering in a face he believes looks “tough.”
But the president will likely come to rue the day he stuck his nose into this particular race. Or at least he would regret it, if he were capable of self-reflection. Polls show that the Democratic nominee, state Rep. James Talarico, is more likely to beat Paxton than Cornyn in November’s general election. But even if that doesn’t happen, Trump was unwise to alienate Senate Republicans, who largely backed Cornyn, at a time when his political power is starting to wane.

Angela Merkel Receives EU "Order Of Merit" For Helping To Destroy Europe
The event passed with little fanfare in the international media. The European Union held its first ever event to honor laureates of the European Order of Merit, meant to honor influential political and social figures who made significant contributions to the "integration" of the EU experiment.
Out of the 20 nominees, 13 laureates attended the ceremony in the Parliament’s hemicycle in Strasbourg and addressed the Chamber, following their acceptance of the award from European Parliament President Roberta Metsola and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Among these attendees was former German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Merkel wore the award with visible glee, then took to the podium to praise the European Union system. She then called for further expansion of the EU bureaucracy's efforts to silence dissent on mass immigration by "regulating" (censoring) social media.
Anti-immigration movements in the UK and EU are fast becoming political juggernauts, largely due to the rising crime and cultural erasure caused by the invasion of millions of third-world asylum seekers, many of them from Islamic nations. The ideological and religious beliefs of these migrants is completely contrary to western values, which is causing social strife among native Europeans.
Not surprisingly, millions of Europeans are no longer willing to tolerate the death of western civilization. Movements for remigration are growing exponentially, and EU globalists are scrambling to stop them, largely through online censorship and "hate speech" laws.
Merkel played an integral role in the destruction of Europe when, in 2015, her government triggered an open borders bonanza. Using the war in Syria as a foil, Germany, the UK and a handful of other governments pushed for Europeans to embrace a flood of millions of third-world asylum seekers in 2015.

Inside Gavin Newsom’s Solar Scam. 1/2
California advocateswanted to provide solar panels to 1 million low-income housing residents. Afterten years, the state is more than 900,000 short of that goal
Governor Gavin Newsom has dismissed fossil fuels as “alternative energy,” and wants to power California with, among other things, the sun. Through extensive mandates and extra energy costs for non-solar consumers, theNewsom administration has directed billions to building solar energy capacity.
The centerpiece of this initiative is the Solar on Multifamily Affordable Housing (SOMAH) program. SOMAH began under Governor Jerry Brown, who signed legislation requiring a state commission to apportionup to $100 million a year from California’s cap-and-trade program to pay for the installation of solar panels on apartment buildings in poor areas. Since then, California has devoted nearly $900 million to SOMAH, which the state hoped would create 300 megawatts of power by 2030 and advocates envisioned would create a million solar-using renters.
The results have been disastrous. Since 2015, the program has installed or reserved only 129 megawatts of solar power for approximately 65,600 residents—nowhere close to the target of 1 million “solar renters.”
What happened? First, incompetence. For a decade, businesses and utilities have been forced to buy emissions credits, and while the state has lavished nearly $900 million on SOMAH, administrators designed the program so poorly that they have paid out only $131 million for solar installation.
As the program’slargest contractor admitted in a draft audit, potential customers were turned off by the paperwork, bureaucracy, and red tape.
“Initially, we found housing owners excited about the program,” the contractor said, “but after a long and laborious process, they are much less enthusiastic.”
That is an understatement. From the beginning, the SOMAH program has been plagued by delays and cancellations. More than 400 applications have wound up cancelled or withdrawn, or about a third of the total. On average, projects take three and a half years to make it through the program’s gauntlet of paperwork and inspections.
Some projects have been fully installed—only to sit idle for a year or more waiting for permission to begin operating. As a result, more than $700 million of the program’s budget remains unspent. In other words, California can’t even give away a heavily subsidized, and sometimes free, product.
These failures do not mean, however, that no one is profiting. The managers of the SOMAH program have spent about$60 million on overhead, including salaries, conferences, website development, and more. And, as part of that budget, they havedevoted at least $5.5 million to “community-based organizations” (CBOs), most of which are =+left-wing nonprofits that, in one case, labeled giving solar panels to low-income housing residents a way to fight “racial injustice==.”
Under the guise of marketing and outreach,SOMAH paid more than $163,000 to the Asian Pacific Environmental Network(APEN). Vivian Yi Huang, the group’s co-director,extolled the need to “fight against the systems of white supremacy, patriarchy, and capitalism of the extractive economy.”
The organization called for Richmond, California to “Defund the Police and Invest in Black Lives” and is a member of the Defund Police Coalition in Oakland, California.
California Environmental Justice Alliance(CEJA) told supporters that it “led in the creation” of SOMAH. Officials awarded it $230,000. Thenonprofitwantsthe “democratization” of “land, labor, and resources” to “reverse the long course of environmental racism, the climate crisis, and colonialism.”

CEJA uses aggressive language to support its apparent goal of banning oil. “What’s at stake is our very survival,” its then-executivedirector said in 2021. “We must make the transition to 100 percent clean energy and bring all communities along to avoid a devastating climate apartheid.”
The group’s political arm, CEJA Action, endorses candidates and publishes voter guides as it “builds the political power of communities of color to advance environmentally and socially just policies.”
While APEN and CEJA no longer partner with the state,one of the active CBOs, Communities for a Better Environment, is no less radical. Last year, the group demanded the immediate release of everyone who was detained in immigration raids in California. “[T]here is no environmental justice without migrant justice,” the group wrote. “[W]e stand in solidarity with migrant, low-income, queer and trans, and people of color.”
Have these groups delivered results? No.
In 2023, a state-contracted auditor interviewed some CBOs. It found that they were only “responsible for a handful of submitted applications.” This year’s draft audit noted an “inverse relationship” between new applications and spending on these groups.
The other mainbeneficiary of the SOMAH program is a San Francisco-based corporation called Sunrun Inc., which bills itself as the country’s largest solar providerand has been the contractorfor 78 percent of all SOMAH projects.
The company has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to political candidates—including $50,000 to Gavin Newsom’s campaigns—and has employed an army of lobbyists in Sacramento.
Newsom, in turn,has packed his administration with former Sunrun employees. Thegovernor appointed the company’s public policy manager to the California Energy Commission and appointed its former chief policy officer to a regional water quality control board. In recent years, Sunrun representatives have met with government regulators’ offices to discuss SOMAH, including last December, when the company supported efforts to expand the program.
SOMAH and Sunrun did not respond to requests for comment.
California’s infrastructure projects seem always to fall short. SOMAH shows why. Liberal nonprofits help pass sweeping climate laws and receive money from the programs those laws create.In turn, those groups use their expanded influence to push for still more mandates and spending. The laws finance the activists, the activists demand more laws, and the cycle feeds itself—and helps well-connected firms, like Sunrun, collect new contracts.
Meantime,Californians increasingly think solar isn’t worth the headache. As one property ownertold auditors, it’s “hard to justify poking a whole bunch of holes in your roof all over the place, just for a small amount of benefit.”

Alina Fernandez, the exiled daughter of the late Cuban dictator Fidel Castro, was pressed on Tuesday night over claims that former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau is her “half brother,”and did little to put the long-running conspiracy theory to rest.
The claim, mentioned byPresident Donald Trump in his 2024 Save America bookand pushed by online believers, alleges that Castro is Trudeau’s real father, not Pierre Trudeau.
Fernandez appeared on NewsNation’s Katie Pavlich Tonightto primarily discuss the humanitarian crisis in Cuba, which faces U.S. sanctions, and Trump’s threats of potential military action against the island after he has completed peace negotiations with Iran.
Before concluding the interview with Fernandez,however, host Katie Pavlich insisted on one more question.
“For years we’ve heard rumors that Justin Trudeau, the former prime minister of Canada , could be your half brother. What do you think about it?” she said.
Fernandez smiled and apparently unwilling to give up any family lore, she replied: “The only thing I can say is that his mother used to visit the country very often.”
“Well that may be a tell then,” the host followed. “I guess that’s a half answer.”

A former senior CIA officer with top-secret security clearance has been arrested after federal agents raided his Virginia home and seized roughly 300 gold bars worth more than $40 million, along with approximately $2 million in cash and 35 luxury watches, mostly Rolexes.
The officer, identified as David Rush, who held a management position at the agency, now faces charges of criminal theft of public money.
According to NBC News,Rush allegedly used his position to request large amounts of gold and foreign currency, claiming they were for “work-related expenses,” only to allegedly divert and stash them at his Fairfax County residence.
On May 18, federal agents searched the home and walked out with the massive gold hoard. Investigators had earlier found only a portion of the funds in a storage space near his office.
Rush had requested the assets between November and March, according to an FBI affidavit.
The CIA’s own internal audit couldn’t account for the gold or significant foreign currency,prompting CIA Director John Ratcliffe to refer the matter to the FBI for criminal investigation.

Asked about Rush’s case, a CIA spokesperson said in a statement joint statement with the FBI that the FBI had arrested a person after a referral from the agency.
After a CIA internal investigation identified potential violations of the law, CIA Director John Ratcliffe referred the information to the FBI for a law enforcement investigation,” the written statement said. “The FBI is working closely with our partners at the CIA and the Department of Justice as we continue to investigate this matter fully. We are committed to following the facts, ensuring accountability, and pursuing justice in accordance with the law.” (I bet Tulsi found this and more.)
The case raisesquestions about the effectiveness of the federal government’s security vetting, which is supposed to ensure intelligence officers or other government employees don’t betray the public trust or spy for foreign countries.
The U.S. government conducts background investigations on every prospective employee at the CIA and other agencies granted access to sensitive and secret information. And after employees are hired, the government continues to monitor their financial activities, travel, credit records and other information through automated checks to ensure they aren’t vulnerable to blackmail.
The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, which falls under the authority of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, oversees the background check program, known as “continuous vetting.” When the program flags a potential problem or anomaly in an employee’s records, officials investigate further.
It wasn’t clear how the investigation into Rush began, and it also wasn’t clear when he left the CIA. His home was raided just last week.
Rush is also accused of a long-running fraud schemein which he allegedly falsified time sheets, inflated his hours, and lied about his background for nearly two decades to secure and maintain his high-level position and extra pay.
He claimed degreesfrom Clemson University and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, attendance at the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, service as a thesis adviser, and Navy pilot experience,none of which were true, according to NBC News.
He even allegedlyfaked Navy Reserve service to collect improper military leave pay.
He applied to the government three times and only succeeded on the third attempt in 2009 after padding his résumé further.Despite these fabrications, he rose to a senior management role with top-secret clearance.

Mexico to Prosecute Border State Governor for Working with U.S. Against Cartels

Mexico’s government is trying to prosecute a border state governor. Her crime — working with U.S. agencies to fight drug cartels.
This week, Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office held a hearing in which it questioned Chihuahua’s Governor, Maria Eugenia “Maru” Campos. Initially, they summoned her as a witness in an investigation, a common strategy to bring an individual in before charging them. The case has become a scandal in Mexico.
The incident began in April, when two U.S. agents died in a highway crash while returning from a raid by state police forces at one of the largest drug labs ever in Mexico. As Breitbart Texas reported, rather than celebrate the raid, which targeted a Sinaloa Cartel installation, Mexico’s federal government sounded the alarms, claiming that CIA agents had operated in Mexico and it was a violation of national sovereignty.
The issuecame at almost the same time as the U.S. government publicly announced the indictment of top people from Mexico’s ruling party, MORENA, for working for the Sinaloa Cartel.
One of those individuals is the sitting governor of Sinaloa, Ruben Rocha Moya. President Claudia Sheinbaum has since fought tooth and nail to protect Rocha Moya and prevent his extradition to the United States, claiming there is no evidence of wrongdoing on his part. That issue has driven a wedge between the U.S. government, which has been increasing the pressure to not only go after cartels but also the politicians who protect them.
In the case against Maru Campos, Sheinbaum herself called for an investigation, claiming that a state governor working directly with a foreign agency was treasonous.
Almost immediately after the initial hearing this week, Campos received a second summons to a kidnapping investigation, claiming she had conspired to kidnap her predecessor, a cartel-linked politician named Javier Corral==. The allegation stems from an attempt by Campos to arrest Corral on corruption charges related to financial crimes during Corral’s term as governor.
Recently, Corral has become a strong ally of the MORENA party and even met with one of Rocha Moya’s allies, who is also facing prosecution in the U.S. on drug charges. Since aligning himself with MORENA, Corral has been able to protect himself from political rivals.

I never quite understood just how controlled the information flow is inside Canada until about two years ago when we began closely monitoring Canadian positioning for the upcoming USMCA (CUSMA) renegotiation/cancellation. It quickly became obvious the majority of Canadians have no idea why it is almost a certainty the U.S. would exit the trilateral arrangement and position for a bilateral free trade agreement.
In the two years that have passed, now we see a few Canadians starting to realize the core issues of trade conflict that make any FTA between the U.S. and Canada almost impossible. The largest issue centers around Canada’s net-zero carbon legislation that now completely disconnects them from aligned North American energy policy between the U.S. and Mexico.
A trilateral agreement requires core alignment on industrial manufacturing, and that requires similar abilities & similar energy policy. You cannot make steel, iron and aluminum without coal and gas. You need joules for heavy industrial manufacturing that cannot be achieved without exploiting coal, gas or oil (carbon materials).Canada’s energy policy no longer aligns with industrial manufacturing. This core issue cannot be resolved at the current level of energy policy in Canada.
There are other issues like Canadian trade deals with China, non-tariff barriers, legislated rules over intellectual property and other points of significant friction that make alignment within North America challenging. However, the energy component makes compatible trade impossible.
In the interview below, U.S. Ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra appears on a podcast with David Leis, for a blunt conversation about trade, pipelines, critical minerals, China, and why the U.S. is growing frustrated with Canada’s direction. At the end Hoekstra even explains why he is doing Canadian podcasts; because information within Canada is restricted by the government control of media – and that explains why most Canadians are clueless about the issues.
I’ve prompted the interview to the point that gets into the details. If you are interested to be fully understanding of what is coming, this is a solid reference point. Our sense is that we have with Canada, you know, some some trade challenges, which, you know, to some people, you know, some people may think, oh, those are just irritants to us. They’re, they’re significant, and the reality is, we’ve spent the past year and a half going to countries, telling them we have to have some level of tariff on the globe to deal with this giant death that we’re dealing with, to try to reshore, etc.
And, and most countries have, you know, I know grudgingly, but they said we understand your policy, we understand so we’re going to negotiate with you, we’re going to remove some of these tariffs and non tariff barriers, etc. Canada’s approach has been different.
They like China retaliated against the United States. Two countries in the world retaliated against us, People’s Republic of China and Canada, so they’re just, they’re just in a different spot, and it’s, it’s hard to see necessarily where that ends.”

Video shows agents loading dozens of boxes into vans at St. Amant's DCH, short for Daycare Home Food Program, around 4:30 on Tuesday afternoon.
Denham Springs resident Arden Hubbard said local police did respond as well, but they left after more FBI agents showed up.
According to Hubbard, "At first we honestly thought they were searching for a dangerous person or criminal because you just do not randomly see FBI rolling around our town like that. There had to be 20+ people going in and out of that office all day, working from the parking lot, their vehicles, and inside the building."
WBRZ reached out to several local law enforcement agencies, all of which denied involvement in the operation. Calls to St. Amant's DHS were not returned
The FBI sent us a statement saying, "the FBI is present near Business Park Avenue in Denham Springs conducting court authorized law enforcement activity. There is no threat to public safety."

A White House official told CBS News on Monday that the Trump administration "is engaged and monitoring the situation in Garden Grove," where the GKN Aerospace facility is located, noting that federal resources were assisting with the response.
"The U.S. EPA has integrated with the local Unified Command composed of state and local agencies, and has enabled air monitoring at 20 locations around the area," the White House official said. "FEMA has deployed a Liaison Officer to coordinate with officials and has also deployed a team to the State Emergency Operation Center to support incident contingency planning. FEMA has also activated the Interagency Modeling and Atmospheric Assessment Center to provide plume modeling of airborne hazards, informing incident leadership and contingency planning."

What do you see in this crystal ball? The featured image shows NGC 1514, known as the Crystal Ball Nebula, observed by the Gemini North telescope on Maunakea, in Hawai'i. NGC 1514 is 1,500 light-years away and was discovered by William Herschel in 1790. This planetary nebula is formed when a star becomes a red giant and ejects its outer gas layers. The ejected shell of gas is heated up by the core of the star to temperatures hotter than the surface of our Sun: that makes the gas shine, creating beautiful images like this one. The slightly asymmetrical shape of the Crystal Ball Nebula reveals a secret: the bright star in the center has a companion. As the two stars orbit each other with a period of about nine years, they shape the gas around them. In about 10,000 - 25,000 years the nebula will be dissipated by their stellar winds.

From Chunn Farms in Milton, FL:
Last Wednesday, a helicopter from Industrial Helicopters LLC (Louisiana) sprayed what’s believed to be herbicide under the power lines across from the farm. Florida Power & Light denies hiring it or knowing who did, and the property owners say it wasn’t them. The chopper sprayed under power lines across East Milton into Pace from Wednesday through the weekend, returning Saturday.
Since then, the farm has lost 50+ chickens and grow-outs — nearly their entire flocks of Lavender Ameraucana, Welsummers, and Death Layers. They’ve lost significant money in investment and future income, and tossed hundreds in possibly contaminated feed.
After failing to reach the company or FPL, they’re turning to social media. They want to know what was sprayed, citing risks to other livestock, wildlife, and possible human exposure. They’ve requested an investigation by the Florida Dept. of Agriculture & Consumer Services.

Sometime around 2020’s “summer of love,” when violent left-wing activists were destroying, burning and looting minority communities over the death of George Floyd, the UC school system thought it would be a good idea to ditch the SAT/ACT admissions requirement.
In fact, around 700 additional universities joined the UC university system in going “test optional,” nearly doubling the total number of test-optional higher learning institutions in the US from 1,000 to 1,700.
There was good reason for this, they said, because test-taking facilities were closing under pandemic conditions and many students would not even be able to take the exams.
At the time, various black and “latinx” activist orgs hailed the decision as a victory for “equitable admissions.” They’d waged a decade-long campaign to institute racial quotas and to water down or outright abolish admissions requirements.
To them, relying on (racially aggrieved) personal essays and (wildly inflated) public school GPAs was enough.
Now, six years later, STEM professors awash under a human tidal wave of literal stupidity have decided to take action.
A whopping 720 named signatories, mostly from UC Berkeley, but also San Diego, UCLA, Irvine, Davis and Santa Barbara, have published a document demanding a return to test taking. Their disciplines range from math to physics to computer science to engineering.
According to the letter,so many students entering STEM schools aren’t even literate in middle school math.
Yes, you read that correctly. Students entering California’s premiere higher learning school system for science and technology are not doing math adequately enough to pass eighth grade.
“We now observe preparation gaps so severe that instructors must reteach middle-school mathematics while simultaneously teaching the material students need for sciences, engineering, economics, and other quantitatively demanding fields,” the letter states.

In 1994, seven heads of the major Tobacco companies swore on oath before Congress, that nicotine is not addictive. University of California (UCSF) put out an article at the time titled: Tobacco CEO’s Statement to Congress 1994 News Clip: “Nicotine is not addictive.”
A 2015 Harvard study confirmed that nicotine is not addictive on its own, rather it’s the Pyrazines that are added that make it addictive.
Promising Research in Parkinson’s Disease
According to Psychology Today Neuroscience, “One of the most exciting areas of nicotine research involves Parkinson’s disease. Studies have consistently shown that (nicotine only) smokers have a significantly reduced risk of developing Parkinson’s disease.”
The potential for nicotine therapy extends beyond Parkinson’s to Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases. A study performed at Vanderbilt University Medical Center showed that nicotine can improve attention, memory, and cognitive processing in both healthy individuals and those with mild cognitive impairment. The improvements appear to be more pronounced in individuals carrying the APOE4 gene variant, which increases Alzheimer’s risk.
Chronic inflammation in the brain contributes to all neurodegenerative diseases, and nicotine’s ability to reduce inflammation may explain many of its protective effects.
Nicotine has also showed promise as a treatment for depression, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, Tourette’s, and schizophrenia.
Unlike tobacco smoke, pure nicotine does NOT contain carcinogens and is already approved for smoking cessation. Nicotine appears to be safe when used according to directions. Side-effects are generally mild (if any) and may include skin irritation from patches, slight sleep disturbances, and occasional nausea as toxins come out of the body (herxing), so starting with 1 mg patches prevents this.
