Hundreds of Tel Aviv Houses on Brink of Collapse: Israel's Buildings Are Crumbling

The sight of ceilings collapsing onto apartment floors at 44 Jaffa Road in Tel Aviv's Florentin neighborhood earlier this month, on Passover eve, was horrifying.

The old industrial building collapsed, moderately injuring a man and a woman and leaving dozens in shock, most of them young people who lived and worked there. Nearby buildings were evacuated over concerns about their stability.

Despite numerous alarms that day, official sources say there is no connection between the Iran war and the collapse, though many of the people we spoke with do not rule out a link.

The Tel Aviv municipality was quick to clarify that responsibility for the building's structural integrity lies with the apartment owners. But in Israel, unlike in other countries, there is no law requiring periodic building maintenance. In practice, this leads to neglect, especially in buildings occupied mainly by young renters. In recent years, more and more old buildings have collapsed, and not because they were hit by a missile.

The collapse in south Tel Aviv brought Adam Elgressy back to September 12, 2021, when the building where he had lived with his wife and daughters for a decade, at 38 Serlin Street in Holon, collapsed.

"The day before it happened, residents noticed the apartment doors wouldn't open. There was a kind of explosion in one of the parking lot walls, and it was decided the building was dangerous and had to be evacuated immediately," Elgressy recalls.

"The next day, when the municipality came to demolish it, it collapsed before they could even touch it. I've seen people from the Florentin building on social media saying they want to go back and get their belongings. I tell them it's not worth it. If we had gone back in before demolition, it would have collapsed on us. It's not worth feeling the floor shake under you for a T-shirt."

Elgressy says the current legal framework makes it impossible for residents to know whether their building is at risk. "Local authorities put the responsibility on apartment owners to make sure there's no safety hazard, but there are no guidelines on what maintenance means or how to do it. People aren't engineers. They can't X-ray a building to see what's happening inside the walls."

A month earlier, in August 2021, a similar incident occurred in Ramat Gan. Residents of a dilapidated building at 33 Bialik Street were ordered to evacuate after cracks were discovered and a shop window on the ground floor shattered. The next day, when the municipality demolished it, it became clear that one of the support columns had split in two, confirming that the building's structural stability had been compromised.

In September 2025, a balcony in an old building at 105 Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv collapsed from the first floor onto the roof of the Yashka shawarma restaurant below. Because it happened on a Saturday, the restaurant was closed and no one was injured. Municipal engineers found that the cause was crumbling old concrete. The building, constructed in 1936 by architect Yehuda Magidovitch, was designated for preservation.

Taylor said while Australia had a non-discriminatory immigration policy, it should discriminate on values.

Keating said the policy was an attempt to counter a surge in voter support for Pauline Hanson.

'The Liberal Party, battling an extreme version of itself - One Nation - has again fallen back to its default political policy: racism,' he said.

'The blight of Pauline Hanson is that her dumb bigotry offers a fantasy. The fantasy that Australia in the modern age can return to a monoculture.'

But the opposition leader rejected the criticism from Australia's 24th prime minister, saying Keating was out of step.

'I always suspected that Paul Keating didn't support Australian values, but now he has dropped any pretence,' Taylor said.

'To suggest it is 'racist' to put Australian values at the centre of our immigration policy shows just how out of touch he is with Australians, as is the Labor Party.

Back in 2019, we knew that Atkinson had changed the form, but we didn't KNOW whether Ciaramella had used the new form or the old form. It turns out that he had used the old form - the form which required first hand knowledge. The copy of Ciaramella form made public excluded the first two instruction pages in which the firsthand requirement was stated. While Atkinson subsequently changed the form, it was the earlier form that was submitted (sans the two instruction pages.)

Atkinson's position was that Ciaramella had first hand knowledge of some things. However, the things that he had first hand knowledge of do not appear to have been especially relevant.

Atkinson cited Grassley as authority that secondhand information should be permitted for a whistleblower report. But Atkinson glossed over difference between a non-urgent concern and an urgent concern. This doesn't seem to have been focussed on in discussion. The requirement for firsthand knowledge was reasonable enough for an "urgent" concern.

Another point that hasn't been discussed much. In the Solomon articles in March-April 2019 which led into these discussions, there was discussion of Ukrainian interference in the 2016 election. Trump's contiguous discussion of the CrowdStrike server supports the possibility that Trump was seeking investigation of 2016 election interference - an entirely proper request - as opposed to anticipatory interference in the 2020 election. One of the major misunderstandings of Ukrainian interference in the 2016 is that the interference was initiated by Biden cadres (especially at the Jan 2016 meeting with Ukrainiain prosecutors and Biden cadres while Biden was a leading candidate for nomination) and resulted in the Black Ledger operation that decapitated Paul Manafort as campaign chair in August 2016. The role of Biden cadres in this interference has been clouded by incorrect pointing at Clinton campaign.

There was obviously no way that any of Ciaramella, Wilde or Atkinson could have reasonably been sure that the issues raised by Trump weren't related to past 2016 events, as opposed to still distant 2020 events where Biden's nomination was far from guaranteed.

The issue of Ukrainian interference in the 2016 election surfaced from time to time in the 2019 impeachment hearings, but was ridiculed and shouted down by State Department officials. None of the Republicans or their staff appear to have been well enough informed to focus on the valid issues.

Russia Launches First-Ever Anti-Trump Propaganda Drone Leaflet Drop Over Ukraine

Russian forces used unmanned aerial vehicles to distribute propaganda leaflets over Ukrainian territory during a recent drone attack, adding a psychological element to ongoing aerial operations.

According to a Telegram post by Ukrainian Defense Ministry advisor Serhii “Flash” Beskrestnov on April 16, Russian drones—identified as “Gerbera” types—were used to scatter printed materials during the strike.

“Gerberas are again scattering leaflets. Thank God that the enemy’s propagandists are ‘stupid’ and spread such nonsense,” Beskrestnov wrote.

Images published alongside the report show leaflets featuring US President Donald Trump, with messaging claiming that US support for Ukraine has ended. The materials appear designed to influence public perception by suggesting a decline in Western assistance.

Ukrainian officials say the use of drones for leaflet distribution reflects an expansion of Russian information and psychological operations (PSYOP), combining aerial delivery systems with messaging aimed at civilians.

Authorities note that the content relies on manipulated or misleading narratives about international support.

This is not the first instance of such tactics. Earlier in April, similar leaflets were reported in Nikopol, where Russian messaging warned of a supposed imminent offensive and urged residents to prepare for occupation.

According to Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation, those materials also included instructions to avoid civilian transport and stockpile supplies, alongside claims of a rapid crossing of the Dnipro River.

Earlier, on September 6, 2025, Russian forces dropped propaganda leaflets disguised as 100-hryvnia banknotes over Chernihiv, urging civilians to share coordinates of Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in exchange for payment.

According to Ukrinform, citing regional police, the materials were distributed by drone, and authorities warned that providing such information constitutes a criminal offense.

Last bread had anon friend post link to yt video regarding Knight Templer and their connection to the Church, Pope, and Masonic Lodge. Video referenced a book by John J. Robinson who was a non mason historian who researched the issue(s) and was determined at the conclusion of research and writing three books on the subject he wished to become a mason and be given masonic rites at his death.

I read all three of these books because of the amount of effort Robinson put into research on Born in the Blood. That contains the just of his research contained in all three books. I read the other two but they aren't necessary to give you a good idea of his findings and conclusions.

I read Born in the Blood when it came out in 1992 and have yet to find anything since as well researched. Most books on the subject of Masonry are garbage; even ones that are pushed by the Lodge itself. A. Pike (one of the most prominent) was a Confederate and thought like southerners of his time. He lost his way somewhere and give a lot of amo for most of the anti mason movement of the modern time. I spoken with many masons who continued other Rites to 32nd degree and they have never been exposed to the "garbage" Pike used to explain masonic meanings.

I'm still not a mason but can understand why someone could in good conscience would wish to become one.

Conclusion, if you like to read buy or check out at your library all of them but you can get all you need from Born in Blood.

Israel has killed over 2,000 people and wounded thousands more since March 2, including hundreds of women and children, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry. Around 1.2 million people have been displaced.

Israeli officials reportedly expressed “outrage” after Trump announced the ceasefireahead of the planned Israeli security cabinet call to discuss a truce. Netanyahu told the ministers that the deal would begin “at the request of Trump,” according to Ynet, adding that Israeli forces would remain in their positions in southern Lebanon.

Trump’s announcement comes amid deadly ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanese civilians. On Wednesday,Netanyahu said he had ordered an expansion of military operations. Multiple strikes on the village of Mayfadoun the same day reportedly left four paramedics dead and six others wounded.Strikes were also reported near one of the last functioning hospitals in southern Lebanon, in the town of Tebnine.

Pentagon misses UAP video deadline. Rep. Luna eyes subpoena

A House lawmaker is threatening subpoena action after the Pentagon failed to meet a congressional deadline to turn over dozens of classified UAP videos, saying she is prepared to compel production of the footage if “institutional resistance continues.”

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., chairwoman of the House Oversight Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, told NewsNation Thursday that the Department of War missed her April 14 deadline to deliver 46 UAP video files she formally requested in a March 31 letter to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Luna said she intends to work directly with Hegseth to secure the footage and described him as a close working partner aligned with President Donald Trump’s directive on UAP disclosure.

She said she is confident cooperation between her office and Pentagon leadership can produce the requested materials.

However, Luna warned that if resistance continues, she is prepared to work with House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer to exercise the committee’s subpoena authority.

She also called for the removal of the unelected official she said was responsible for failing to route her letter to the appropriate authorities within the department.

The 46 videos requested in Luna’s March 31 letter span multiple military branches and locations and include footage of UAP formations captured over Iran, the Persian Gulf, the East China Sea and near U.S. domestic airports.

Among the files requested is footage of an F-16 shooting down a UAP over Lake Huron in February 2023 and multiple incidents documented by MQ-9 drone operators.

Luna’s task force has been investigating UAP disclosure since at least September 2025, when it held a hearing during which whistleblowers testified that the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution

Office, known as AARO, possesses additional video records of potential UAP sightings that have not been publicly released.

“The lack of disclosure regarding the very real threat posed by UAPs in and around U.S. restricted airspace is concerning,” Luna wrote in her March 31 letter.

“The presence of UAPs in and around the sensitive airspaces of U.S. military installations poses a threat to the security of the armed forces and their readiness.”

Luna has also faulted AARO directly, saying the office’s responses when questioned about UAP sightings have been “less than adequate.”

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform holds broad investigative authority under House Rule X to examine “any matter” at “any time.”

USA Completely Withdraws Troops from Syria

The US has completed the full withdrawal of its troops and equipment from Syria, ending its decade-long military presence in the country.

The last US Army units left the Qasrak base in Hasakah province on April 16 and headed toward Jordan, according to Middle East Eye.

The redeployment across the Jordanian border was chosen for the safety of personnel and to avoid possible attacks by pro-Iranian militias in Iraq.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry stated that the completion of the handover of military facilities reflects the successful integration of Kurdish units into state structures. Damascus is now assuming full responsibility for the fight against terrorism and the protection of its borders.

The troop withdrawal process intensified after the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad’s regime in late 2024 and the rise to power of Ahmed al-Sharaa’s government. In recent months, US forces have also handed over major bases in Al-Tanf and Al-Shaddadi to the Syrian side.

The Pentagon has approached major US car manufacturers General Motors and Ford about producing weapons and military equipment, the Wall Street Journal has reported, citing sources.

General Motors already supplies military vehicles to the Pentagon through its GM Defense unit, while Ford has no major military contracts.

The discussions reportedly involved senior executives and focused on whether – andhow quickly – civilian factories could be redirected toward producing munitions and other military supplies, as Washington seeks to replenish stockpilesdepleted by the Ukraine conflict and the war on Iran, the outlet wrote on Wednesday.

GE Aerospace and vehicle and machinery maker Oshkosh were also involved in the talks, which began before the US-Israeli war against Iran started on February 28, it added.

Officials have cast thepush as a move to put industry on a “wartime footing,” the outlet noted, invoking World War II-era mobilization, when Detroitautomakers halted car output to produce bombers, aircraft engines and trucks.

The war against Iran has significantly strained US weapons stockpiles. The American military has launched more than 850 Tomahawk cruise missiles during the first four weeks of the campaign. The rate has prompted alarm among some Pentagon officials, the Washington Post reported last month. While the US Department of Wardoes not disclose the exact number of Tomahawks it has, analysis suggests that before Operation Epic Fury,the US Navy had between 4,000 and 4,500 such missiles.

US President Donald Trump has requested a record-breaking military budget of around $1.5 trillion for the 2027 fiscal year, up from nearly $1 trillion this year, according to the administration’s budget outline. The proposal includes more than $1.1 trillion in base defense funding alongside additional allocations tied to ongoing military operations.
