What does this tell you?

SpaceX's monster IPO is unlike anything we've seen

SpaceX is preparing to launch the largest IPO of all time — with expectations that it could raise more than all U.S. listings in 2024 and 2025.

Why it matters: Wall Street is understandably giddy. But what it's about to pitch investors is unprecedented, and could impact how (or if) OpenAI and Anthropic go public later this year.

Here are four waysthis IPO is different from all others:

1. Size: SpaceX reportedly wants to raise around $75 billion at a $1.75 trillion valuation.

• For context, the entire U.S.IPO market only raised more money in two of the past 10 years.

• It also will seek to become thefirst company to ever go public at a valuation of $1 trillion or more, with hopes of immediately being worth more than Walmart, Exxon Mobil or Meta.

• Finally,Musk is said to be reserving up to 30% of the offering for individual investors — three times the norm.

2. Flux capacity: SpaceX has been around for decades, but the version going public is a newly formed conglomerate.

• Elon Musk recently merged xAI into SpaceX, after having previously merged X (fka Twitter) into xAI(whose 11 cofounders have all left).

• No one really knows if the combinations will work, and it's too early for there to be much evidence in either direction. Let alone if SpaceX's plan for one million orbital data centers — which seems to be Musk's grand vision —is viable.

•IPO investors always get access to a couple years of past financial performance but, in this case, it's relatively irrelevant.

3. X factor: Elon Musk himself. And not just the part about him seeking to simultaneously run two of the world's most valuable companies.

• Musk hasn't been part of an IPO since Tesla in 2010. At the time, he was fairly quiet on social media. In fact, his first-ever tweet was just a couple of weeks earlier.

• Today'sMusk may struggle to comport with rules about what company insiders can and can't say once the IPO process begins. For example, Google's IPO was almost waylaid by comments its cofounders made in a Playboy interview.

• On the other hand, the current Securities & Exchange Commission is lax when it comes to enforcement, and Musk is (usually) friendly with the boss' boss. Plus, there are reports that the two sides are preparing to settle a dispute over Musk's alleged violation of securities law in 2022.

4. Red ink:We don't yet know SpaceX's overall financials, and its initial IPO filing is likely to be confidential.

• What we're fairly certain of,however, is that its xAI unit (sans X/Twitter) is hemorrhaging money. Just like other large foundation models that are scaling by spending on GPUs.

•Investors may not care, believing all things AI are up and to the right, but this would be the first major market test.

The Foreign Minister has warned the US President that Australia has “concerns” if the goal remains regime change.

“We believe that it would be a good thing for the global economy and for Australians and certainly for the world, if we could see de-escalation and these talks lead to a cessation of the conflict,’’ Senator Wong said.

“We have concerns if the objective is regime change, because we have said all along, this is ultimately a matter for the people of Iran.”

When he launched the war a month ago, Mr Trump suggested that regime change was one of his goals. On Sunday, he suggested it had been achieved.

The Bulls are cutting bait with Jaden Ivey, waiving the guard following comments on social media livestreams against the LGBTQ and the Catholic church.

Those comments received significant attention due to the fact that his mother, Niele Ivey, is the head women’s basketball coach at Notre Dame.

He played in four games for the Bulls following the deal and had struggled to regain the form he had with the Pistons.

Ivey told local Chicago media in February that “the old J.I. is dead.”

“I’m alive in Christ no matter what the basketball setting is,” he said.

The NBA has not publicly commented on the situation.

The Bulls had announced last week that Ivey would be shut down for the remainder of the season due to injuries.

Biden-Appointed Judge Tosses DOJ Lawsuit Challenging Minnesota's In-State Tuition For Illegal Immigrants

A district court judge tossed out the Trump administration’s lawsuit on March 27 against Minnesota laws that allow illegal immigrants to pay in-state tuition rates, or in some cases waive tuition, for college and university classes, ruling that the state law doesn’t violate federal law.

United States District Judge Katherine Menendez, appointed in 2021 by President Biden, granted the state’s motion to dismiss the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) lawsuit, filed on June 25, 2025, finding Minnesota’s in-state tuition rules didn’t discriminate against citizens.

“As Defendants point out, there are multiple ways a student could qualify for Resident Tuition without residing in Minnesota, such as attending a Minnesota high school while living in a neighboring state, or by attending a Minnesota high school while living in a neighboring state, or by attending a Minnesota boarding school,” Menendez wrote in the decision.

The federal government sued Minnesota’s Gov. Tim Walz and other state officials over the state’s laws that allow foreign nationals to receive lower or free tuition for college.

Minnesota law states that any student, other than a non-immigrant alien, can qualify for a resident tuition rate at state universities and colleges if they attend high school in the state for at least three years and graduate from a state high school or get a high school equivalent degree.

The law also states an illegal immigrant must give the state proof they have complied with federal selective service registration requirements, filed to obtain lawful immigration status, and provide documents showing they have tried to get lawful immigration status to qualify for in-state tuition.

Menendez also agreed with Walz and Minnesota’s Attorney General Keith Ellison, who argued they should not have been included in the lawsuit by the DOJ because “none of the Minnesota statutes mention either official, and nowhere in the Complaint does the United States allege specific actions of involvement by either official.”

The judge dismissed the case with prejudice, meaning it stands as the final judgment and can’t be refiled.

Nicole Daedone, the founder and former Chief Executive Officer of OneTaste, Inc. (OneTaste), a sexual wellness education company founded in San Francisco, California, was sentenced today by United States District Judge Diane Gujarati in federal court in Brooklyn to nine years in prison for her role in a forced labor conspiracy. Courtroom Bombshell: ATF Can’t Link Bullet That Killed Charlie Kirk to Suspect's Rifle

If you're not paying attention to the Tyler Robinson case, you’d better start now. A fresh court filing just dropped a massive curveball in the assassination of Charlie Kirk.

The filing claims that the bullet that killed Kirk last September doesn’t match the rifle that Robinson used.

But his defense attorneys now argue that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives 'was unable to identify the bullet recovered at autopsy to the rifle allegedly tied to Mr Robinson.'

The defense team may now offer the ATF firearm analyst's testimony as exculpatory evidence, they said in a motion filed on Friday to push the preliminary hearing back at least six months, Fox News reports.

It also notes that DNA reports filed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and ATF will take time for the defense team to analyze because reports indicated that several different DNA were found on some items of evidence.

“As these cases indicate, determining the number of contributors to a DNA mixture and determining whether the FBI and the ATF reliably applied validated and correct scientific procedures… is a complicated process which requires the assistance of various types of experts, including forensic biologists, geneticists, system engineers and statisticians, all of whom must review and evaluate' several different categories,” the filing states.

This may be reaching. The inability to conclusively match the bullet to the rifle doesn’t mean it wasn’t the rifle or that it wasn’t Robinson. In fact, there’s a significant amount of evidence that paints a damning case against Robinson.

In a text exchanged between Tyler Robinson and his roommate and partner, Lance Twiggs, the alleged killer claimed the rifle was the only evidence he left behind, court documents show.

'If I am able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left no evidence. Going to attempt to retrieve it again, hopefully they have moved on,' he allegedly wrote. 'I haven’t seen anything about them finding it.'

Robinson also reportedly wrote about planning to get the weapon from his 'drop point,' but that the area was 'locked down.'

'I’m wishing I had circled back and grabbed it as soon as I got to my vehicle,' he continued.

'I'm worried what my old man would do if I didn’t bring back grandpas rifle… idek [I don't even know] if it had a serial number, but it wouldn’t trace to me. I worry about prints I had to leave it in a bush where I changed outfits. didn’t have the ability or time to bring it with.

Robinson also worried that his father would ask about the missing gun and considered ditching it to avoid being caught with fingerprints. He also confessed to his father, who alerted authorities and held him until police arrived.

According to Robinson’s friends, while they never believed he was capable of violence, he did make drunken jokes about Republican politicians “catching a bullet.” Some described him as under the influence of left-wing extremism but insisted that he gave no clear warning signs. One friend summed him up as someone who loved guns and beer and harbored a deep distrust of the government.
