What Brazil did to Jair Bolsonaro is what the Biden regime wanted to do to Donald Trump. They wanted to bury him under politicized prosecutions, drag him through a maze of lawfare, and make sure he never had a real shot at returning to power. The difference is that in the United States, those sham cases fell apart. But in Brazil, the regime kept going.

Now, after months of this disgrace, there may finally be a change coming for Jair Bolsonaro.

Bolsonaro recently got sick with pneumonia, and that health scare appears to have set bigger things in motion. Now, after all the cruelty, political theater, and regime vengeance,the people who’ve been tormenting him may now be forced to let him serve the rest of his sentence at home. Obviously, this isn’t justice, but it is at least a sign that pressure may be shifting

And it should.

What has happened to Bolsonaro is unjust, vindictive, and deeply political. It’s yet another reminder that weaponized justice isn’t just an American problem. It is spreading everywhere, and in Brazil it’s already gone frighteningly far.

The latest report suggests Bolsonaro’s medical condition has improved, and the regime appears to be preparing to move him out of prison.

The news of the far-right leader’s improvement came hours after Brazil’s attorney general paved the way for him to be put in house imprisonment instead of being returned to jail.

Bolsonaro, who governed between 2019 and 2022, is serving a 27-year sentence for leading a coup attempt in 2023.

Dr. Brasil Caiado told reporters in Brasiliathat there’s no established date for Bolsonaro to be discharged. The former president was hospitalized on March 13 after feeling ill at the Papuda penitentiary in the Brazilian capital. Three days later, the 71-year-old was put in semi-intensive care.

The embattled ex-leader was transferred from the local federal police headquarters to a larger cell in January. His family and allies have repeatedly asked Brazil’s Supreme Court to allow him to carry out his sentence, which he began serving in November, under house arrest.

Attorney General Paulo Gonet agreed with Bolsonaro’s familyin a decision published earlier and suggested to Justice Alexandre de Moraes to send the former president home with an ankle monitor to serve his sentence.

Bolsonaro should have never been in this situation to begin with. And the fact that it took a serious illness and public pressure to move him toward house arrest tells you everything you need to know about how vindictive this entire scam is.

And this fight over Bolsonaro spilled out in a way that exposed how threatened the regime is by outside scrutiny,especially when that scrutiny comes from people with real influence inside the Trump administration… namely, Darren Beattie.(wow, we finally know what Darren is doing at the DOS!)

President Trump recently tapped Revolver’s own Darren Beattie for a high-level global position helping shape the relationship between the United States and Brazil.

We recently reported thatDarren Beattie was approved and scheduled to meet with former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro in prison.

The request for that meeting came directly from Bolsonaro’s legal team.

Al Jazeera reports thatlawyers for former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro are trying to arrange a meeting with Beattieduring his upcoming visit to Brazil. Actually, they’ve asked the country’s Supreme Court for permission to allow Darren to meet with Bolsonaro in prison.

That request right there shows how much weight Darren’s voice carries in the debate surrounding Bolsonaro’s lawfare case.

But now, new breaking reports coming out ofBrazil say the current regime has stepped in and blocked Darren’s meeting.

The two men leading the charge arePresident Lulaand the controversial Supreme Court judgeAlexandre de Moraes.

Judge Alexandre de Moraes was among the first to step in and block the meeting,which had already been approved.

According to reports out of Brazil, the controversial Supreme Federal Court justiceargued that Darren’s planned visit with Bolsonaro was not connected to the diplomatic purposelisted on the visa he was granted.

If Brazil’s regime were confident in what it was doing, it would not be so terrified of outside eyes landing on Bolsonaro’s case. But that is the thing about weaponized justice.It depends on control. And it also depends on keeping certain people far away from the machine.That’s why they moved to block Darren.

What is happening to Bolsonaro is wrong on every level. It is unfair, political, and rotten to the core.

So while this likely shift to house arrest is welcome news, it’s not justice. The real injustice is that Bolsonaro was ever put through this in the first place. At this point, we hope he gets out of prison, continues recovering, and works on his case from home with dignity and peace.
