China's government intervened and helped get charges dropped against three Chinese scientists at the University of Michigan who were accused of helping a colleague smuggle biological materials into the U.S., defense lawyers said.

The materials turned out to be mostly tiny, transparent worms — nothing dangerous — though U.S. officials last year hailed the arrests as a victory for national security. Attorney General Pam Bondi said the government must be vigilant when foreign nationals try to “advance a malicious agenda.”

Xu Bai and Fengfan Zhang were charged with conspiring to help another scientist who shipped packages to them from China before she arrived in 2025 for temporary lab research at the University of Michigan. A third man, Zhiyong Zhang, was charged with making false statements.

Bai, Fengfan Zhang and Zhiyong Zhang were in jail for more than three months while the case was pending in federal court in Detroit. A judge suddenly dismissed the charges on Feb. 5 at the Justice Department's request and the three traveled home to China.

The U.S. Attorney's Office in Detroit said it would not comment on China's role or the government's retreat. An email seeking comment from the Chinese Consulate in Chicago was not immediately answered Wednesday.

“The dismissal came as a pleasant surprise," defense lawyer John Minock said. “We don’t know the details. What we were told was there was some kind of intervention by the Chinese Consulate in Chicago."

Another attorney, Ray Cassar, said he was working toward a misdemeanor plea deal to resolve the case against Fengfan Zhang when prosecutors simply dropped it.

“We get this phone call saying China is negotiating with the U.S. over these three students. Serious talks,” Cassar said. “These were kids studying for their Ph.D.s. The last thing you want to do is destroy their careers. … Was it the proper thing to do? Absolutely."

Defense attorney Mark Satawa said the Chinese Consulate “getting involved moved the needle.” He was planning to seek dismissal of the false statements charge, noting that Zhiyong Zhang, who spoke Mandarin, didn't have a translator when he was questioned by investigators.

Bai, Fengfan Zhang and Zhiyong Zhang were research scholars admitted to the U.S. to temporarily work at the University of Michigan.

Cassar said the worms had a limited lifespan. The packages, he added, were not properly labeled because Chengxuan Han, the woman who sent them, likely didn't want to have them held up by U.S. inspectors.

“There was no intention of doing anything nefarious,” Cassar said. “The worms have been consistently used for studying chemical reactions, light sensitivity.”

In September, Han pleaded no contest to smuggling and making false statements and was deported to China after three months in jail…

What are the connections of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein with the Balkan countries and how much his monstrous network has affected this part of the world in the show "Right to Speak" with Marija Kordic on RT Balkan television, Sibel Edmonds, who worked as a translator for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Edmonds is a former contract translator for the FBI and the founder and editor-in-chief of the independent website News Bad. He hired the FBI as a translator shortly after September 11, 2001, but fired him after less than seven months.

Recently, the U.S. Department of Justice published more than 3.5 million pages related to Epstein, describing and exposing his crimes, as well as contacts with celebrities, businessmen, politicians and other people.

However, they do not state that, as can be learned, 80 percent of his victims come from the Balkans. The question is, have you ever been to this place before?

"Yes," replied the guest.

"Based on my sources at the FBI and a former Justice Department lawyer, between 1997 and 2002 Epstein traveled frequently to the Balkans and other Eastern European countries," she added.

According to Sibel Edmonds, he also had regular financial transactions with the local countries.

"None of this is in the documents published so far. The fact that he was involved in the transfer of money to individuals in the Balkans, including those in Albania, through J.P. Morgan Chase Bank."

"They estimate that his human trafficking operations in the Balkans involve more than 1,000 victims and say that is a very moderate estimate," Edmunds said.

She also revealed that he used to come to our country.

"I don't have an exact list of cities, but when it comes to countries, it's Romania, Slovakia, Serbia, Albania… He often traveled to Poland and the Czech Republic.

It is interesting that he traveled to Afghanistan via Istanbul in Turkey, and these trips took place between 2003 and 2005."

As he says, this draws our attention to a common thread, and it is about coming to the landscapes, especially in times of the greatest social crises.

"The Balkan wars took place from 1997 to 2001. This covers events in Kosovo, Metohija, and Bosnia, and then from 2003 to 2005 they coincide with Afghanistan and the takeover of Afghanistan by the US military and private mercenaries.

USSF: Vulcan NSSL Launches Paused Until Anomaly Is Resolved

AURORA, Colorado—The U.S. Space Force will not launch any National Security Space Launch (NSSL) missions on a United Launch Alliance Vulcan rocket until it completes the investigation into a Feb. 12 launch anomaly, a senior service official said Feb. 25.

Space Systems Command is investigating a solid rocket motor anomaly that occurred during Vulcan’s recent launch of USSF-87 from Cape Canaveral SFS.

The mission was a success, and Vulcan delivered the payloads, including two geosynchronous space situational awareness program (GSSAP) satellites and an experimental satellite, to their respective orbits.

The investigation is in its initial phase but is shaping up to be a months-long process, Col. Eric Zarybnisky, Acting Portfolio Acquisition Executive for Space Access, told reporters at the Air and Space Forces Association’s Air Warfare Symposium here.

“Until this anomaly is solved, we will not be launching National Security Space Launch missions on the Vulcan,” he said.

Zarybnisky highlighted that mission success is “the number-one priority.”

“But anytime there’s an anomaly, my team is going to be actively engaged with the contractors to make sure we understand what happened and we correct that issue,” he said.

The pause on Vulcan missions may impact its next NSSL mission currently on the manifest, supporting the 10th GPS III satellite, which is currently scheduled to launch this spring.

The Space Force has now switched three GPS III satellites in a row that were contracted to launch on Vulcan over to SpaceX, which launched them on its Falcon 9 rocket.

Zarybnisky said that to date, he has not changed the provider for that GPS III mission, but that he is working through a number of options to get the payload on orbit as quickly as possible.

Term ‘forced mobilization’ is ‘enemy language’ – Ukrainian officials

Anyone criticizing Ukraine’s forced mobilization campaign has fallen for Russian propaganda and is using the “language of the enemy,” a military recruitment center in Dnepropetrovsk Region has suggested.

Ukraine’s mobilization drive has grown increasingly brutal amid escalating manpower shortages in recent months.

There are hundreds of documented cases of draft officers using force to snatch men off the streets, illegally breaking into vehicles and homes, and brawling with onlookers. There have also been multiple reports of deaths among conscripts.

The process of violently packing unwilling recruits into minibuses commonly used by Ukrainian press gangs has become colloquially known in Ukraine as ‘busification.’

On Tuesday, Dnepropetrovsk Region’s Territorial Center of Recruitment and Social Support (TSR) reposted on its Facebook account an article by ArmyInform media outlet that warned that Ukraine’s “information space” is being “infected” with alleged Russian “artificial terms.”

The article categorically states that there are no such things as “man-trappers” or “busifications.” “Anyone who spreads hostile words is working for the enemy, even if they don’t realize it,” the article claimed.

“Both Ukrainian media and Ukrainian citizens should have long ago abandoned the terminology imposed by Russian propaganda and strictly tabooed it,” the author insisted.

According to the publication, the term ‘busification’ is being used to portray the “legitimate actions of the Ukrainian state to get conscripted citizens to fulfill their constitutional duty as illegal persecution.”

Among other words that should be off limits to the Ukrainian media and public at large are the “concentration camp country,” as well as “forced mobilization,” and “mobilization slavery,” the ArmyInform story says.

As for cases of abuse by draft officers caught on camera, the article suggests that most of them are “fabricated” by Moscow and are deliberately being spread in the Ukrainian public domain.

Ukrainian officials have also routinely dismissed grievances over forced mobilization as fabrications and “Russian propaganda.”

However, earlier this month, human rights ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets told Ukrainian lawmakers that his office was receiving an “avalanche” of complaints against draft officials, indicative of a “systemic crisis.”

Cincinnati sues Sorsby over $1M exit fee after Texas Tech transfer

Cincinnati sued former quarterback Brendan Sorsby in federal court Wednesday, alleging he breached his NIL contract with the Bearcats when he refused to pay a $1 million exit fee after he transferred to Texas Tech.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, seeks $1 million in liquidated damages, which the school said Sorsby was contractually obligated to pay within 30 days of transferring.

the complaint, Cincinnati's attorneys said the quarterback's representative "advised that Sorsby refuses to pay the University anything."

Sorsby reportedly signed an NIL agreement with the Red Raiders that will pay him between $4 million and $6 million this season.

"In his lucrative NIL agreement with Cincinnati Athletics, Brendan Sorsby committed to stay and play for two seasons as a proud Bearcat representative," the university said in a statement Wednesday. "He also agreed that if he left the university before that time, he would pay the university a specific amount for the substantial harm that his breach would cause.

"Cincinnati Athletics intends to enforce that contractual commitment. As stewards of the university's resources, the Athletics Department has a duty to do so. We thank Brendan for his time at Cincinnati and wish him success in the future."

The lawsuit said that Sorsby signed an 18-month NIL contract with the Bearcats that covered the 2025 and 2026 seasons. It was set to expire on Dec. 15, 2026.

The university claims Sorsby notified the football team on Dec. 1 that he was done playing for the Bearcats and wouldn't compete in their postseason game against Navy in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl on Jan. 2.

Sorsby entered the transfer portal on Jan. 2 and almost immediately signed an NIL deal with the Red Raiders.

The lawsuit claims that Sorsby violated the terms of his NIL deal with Cincinnati when his image appeared on a large digital billboard in New York's Times Square announcing his commitment to Texas Tech.

Sorsby, a senior from Denton, Texas, was one of the top-rated quarterbacks in the transfer portal. After playing his first two seasons at Indiana, he started at Cincinnati the past two seasons.

In 2025, he completed 61.6% of his passes for 2,800 yards with 27 touchdowns and five interceptions. He also ran for 580 yards with nine scores, leading the Bearcats to a 7-5 record.

Cincinnati claims that although it paid Sorsby a substantial amount last season, "it did so with the express expectation that it would realize the majority of the benefits during the following season, 2026, after Sorsby's play developed and his brand grew."

"Despite the clear contractual obligation to do so, and despite his ability to pay, Sorsby still has not paid the University the $1 million in liquidated damages he agreed to pay," the lawsuit said. "Sorsby has benefited greatly by the NIL agreement he entered into with the University, along with the University's sustained efforts to promote him and help establish him as a top collegiate quarterback. Now, the University seeks to enforce its rights under that same agreement and to recover the amount Sorsby is contractually obligated to pay."

In a statement later Wednesday night, Sorsby's agent said the QB will fight the lawsuit, calling it "misguided."

"University of Cincinnati, through its revenue-share structure, paid him $875,800 for a season he fully completed and in that time, he generated millions in value for the program," Ron Slavin of Lift Management said. "Attempting to recover those funds now sends the wrong message to current and future student-athletes and risks damaging the long-term credibility of Cincinnati football. This is further disappointing given that Brendan parted ways with UC in what was a mutually agreeable manner.The money the university seeks to recover from him is nothing more than an unlawful penalty under Ohio law."..

A Secret Soviet Plan to Nuke America From the South Pole Was Working. Until UFO Hunters Looked Up.

The “UFO” sightings were actually test launches of the R-36 Orb, a secret nuclear space missile. Developed from the SS-9 Scarp intercontinental ballistic missile, the R-36 Orb was designed to rocket into low-Earth orbit and de-orbit over the United States. Launched in a southern direction, the weapon could pass over the South Pole and then come at the United States from the direction of Mexico, bypassing the network of early warning radars facing north.

The trip would be longer, but would catch the Americans by surprise, allowing the Soviets the chance to detonate a 2-3 megaton thermonuclear weapon wherever they might choose.

The R-36 was a so-called “first strike” weapon. The only logical reason to have such a weapon was to use it first in a nuclear war, as a surprise weapon meant to destroy American leadership and nuclear command and control systems. The problem? The R-36 was not accurate.

On average, half of R-36s launched in a war would land within three miles of their target. That’s not a deal breaker with a 5-megaton warhead, but it does rule out destroying enemy missile silos. Still, the R-36 would retain use when it came to wiping out the White House, Pentagon, U.S. nuclear bombers sitting on the tarmac, and other vital U.S. installations in a surprise attack.

The Soviet military conducted six tests of the R-36, each at the exact time of day when the missiles were illuminated but the recording cameras were in shadow. The illuminated crescent was caused by the weapon’s braking maneuver, in which the de-orbit engine fired up and spewed exhaust as the weapon turned 180 degrees. This created a clearly visible letter “C” in the early evening sky. This slowed the R-36 down so that it entered low earth orbit, and would be fired back up again later to begin the de-orbiting process.

Although the Soviets initially explained away the tests as launches of “scientific research satellites,” American intelligence eventually figured out what they were up to and called the USSR out on it. Within eight months of the first test, according to Oberg, the U.S. claimed the R-36 was a first-strike weapon that used an orbit/de-orbit scheme.

This would run afoul of the Outer Space Treaty, which was nearing completion and which would ban the placement of nuclear weapons in orbit. It would also run counter to U.N. Resolution 1884, passed in 1963, which called on the U.S. and U.S.S.R. not to place nuclear weapons in space.

The Soviet Union never came clean about the R-36. Eighteen of the weapons were based in silos near Tyuratam, and later banned by the SALT II arms control treaty. The weapons had long since been obsolete, foiled by the deployment of new, southward-facing American early warning radars and Soviet ballistic missile submarines that could launch an attack from that direction much more quickly.The UFOs, it turned out, were not so unidentified after all.

Speaker Mike Johnson said Wednesday he believes Rep. Tony Gonzales’ primary election, now six days away, will be a referendum on the serious sexual harassment allegations plaguing the Texas Republican.

“I’ve said to him publicly and privately, he’s got to address that directly and head on with his constituents,”Johnson told reporters. “There’s a primary there in less than a week, these things will play out.”

Gonzales has been accused of having an affair with a staffer and pressuring her for sexually explicit photos. That staffer later died by suicide.

While Johnson and fellow House GOP leaders have not pulled their endorsement of Gonzales, several rank-and-file Republicans have called for their colleague’s resignationand many are unsure Gonzales can prevail against his challenger at this point.

Gonzales told reporters Tuesday he was “not resigning” from Congress.

On Wednesday morning, Johnson again called the allegations against Gonzales “alarming and detestable” and deflected when asked by reporterswhy he had not yet come down harder on the lawmaker.

“How do you know I haven’t?”Johnson said.

He added, “I don’t usually go into detail on private conversations I’ve had with members, but I’ll tell you that what I’ve said publicly is these are very serious allegations.He’s denied much of it. Ukraine Hit in Sweeping Russian Missile and Drone Attack, Dozen Injured

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported that damage was recorded in three districts: Darnytskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Pecherskyi.

In Darnytskyi district, falling debris caused a blast wave that damaged windows and doors in a first-floor apartment of a nine-story building. No fire was reported.

Russia launched another massive drone and missile attack across Ukraine early Thursday morning, Feb. 26, striking multiple regions and damaging residential buildings and infrastructure.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, large numbers of drones were detected over Ukraine shortly after 1 a.m. At 3:52 a.m., Russia launched ballistic missiles toward Kyiv and Kharkiv.

Overnight, Tu-95MS and Tu-160 strategic bombers also took off to fire cruise missiles. By 5:25 a.m., the missiles had entered Ukrainian airspace, primarily heading toward Kyiv.

In Holosiivskyi district, garages caught fire due to falling debris.

In Pecherskyi district, a private house caught fire.

All fires were later extinguished. No casualties were reported in the capital.

Kharkiv

Russia attacked Kharkiv with 17 drones and two missiles. Damage was recorded in four districts of the city.

In Kyivskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts, apartment buildings and private homes were damaged, overhead power lines were torn down, and a gas pipeline was severed.

In Saltivskyi district, a private house was destroyed. In Slobidskyi district, another private home was completely destroyed and a fire broke out at the impact site. One strike hit the city’s Central Park.

Local authorities said nine people were injured in Kharkiv. Including casualties from shelling in the village of Rai-Olenivka, the total number of injured rose to 14, among them one child.

Zaporizhzhia

Zaporizhzhia was also heavily targeted overnight by drones. Regional Governor Ivan Fedorov said 19 apartment buildings, four private houses, and several non-residential buildings were damaged.

Two shopping centers were hit, including an Epicenter store.

More than 500 homes were left without heating as of Thursday morning.

The State Emergency Service (DSNS) reported that in one nine-story building, apartments on the seventh and eighth floors caught fire. In another building, apartments, balconies, and windows were damaged without further burning. A private house was also damaged.

A fire broke out in one shopping center over an area of 60 square meters, while another suffered roof damage.

Fedorov initially reported six injuries but later DSNS clarified that nine people wounded.

The DSNS later reported that the number of injured had increased to 10 people, including an 8-year-old child, five women and four men.

“All of them received the necessary medical care. Most are being treated on an outpatient basis,” the statement said.

Emergency and rescue operations have now been completed. Rescuers extinguished all fires and inspected the affected area, while municipal services have begun restoration work at the scene.

Kryvyi Rih

Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region was attacked by drones overnight, according to Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city’s Defense Council.

Around 10 residential buildings were damaged, including one five-story building that sustained severe roof damage. A kindergarten, fire station, administrative buildings, and vehicles were also affected.

Two elderly residents - an 89-year-old man and an 83-year-old woman - were injured.

Unknown drone jammed near French navy flagship in Sweden: forces

Sweden’s army jammed a drone of unknown origin on Wednesday not far from the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, which was in Swedish waters, the two countries’ armed forces said Thursday.

“A drone was jammed yesterday by a Swedish system at about seven nautical miles from the Charles de Gaulle.

The Swedish system worked perfectly and this did not disrupt operations on board,” French General Staff spokesman Colonel Guillaume Vernet told AFP.

The incident took place in the Oresund Strait, near the city of Malmo where the French flagship made a stopover on Wednesday, the Swedish army said.

Romanian Air Force scrambled fighter jets after Russian drone breached airspace

BUCHAREST, ROMANIA — For the second time in less than 24 hours involving NATO-linked maritime security, regional tensions spiked as the Romanian Ministry of National Defense (MApN) confirmed that a Russian drone violated its national airspace on Wednesday evening, February 25, 2026.

The incursion occurred as the Russian Federation launched a fresh wave of aerial strikes against Ukrainian port infrastructure along the Danube River—a critical artery for global grain exports situated just meters from the Romanian border.

Rapid Response at Fetești Airbase

Romanian radar systems first detected the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in the vicinity of the national border late Wednesday afternoon. In response, the military triggered preventive protocols:

Scramble: At approximately 5:50 p.m., two F-16 fighter jets were deployed from the 86th Airbase in Fetești to monitor the situation.

Public Alert: At 6:07 p.m., authorities issued a RO-Alert notification to residents in northern Tulcea County, advising them of the potential risk of falling debris and urging them to seek shelter.

The Breach: The drone briefly crossed into Romanian territory near the settlement of Sfântu Gheorghe, traveling over territorial waters before exiting north of Sulina.

World Economic Forum Boss Borge Brende Quits As Epstein Fallout Deepens

The Jeffrey Epstein fallout continues to spread across the corporate and political worlds, with new headlines daily. Bill Gates told foundation staff earlier this week, "I did nothing illicit." Goldman Sachs' top lawyer, Kathy Ruemmler, stepped down last week over her ties, and former Prince Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct related to sending Epstein trade documents.

Now, the World Economic Forum chief executive, Børge Brende, is stepping down following an investigation by the organization into his connections with the convicted sex offender.

WEF released a statement on its website announcing that Brende has decided to step down, and that Alois Zwinggi will serve as Interim President and CEO.

"After careful consideration, I have decided to step down as President and CEO of the World Economic Forum," Brende wrote in a statement.

He said, "I am grateful for the incredible collaboration with my colleagues, partners, and constituents, and I believe now is the right moment for the Forum to continue its important work without distractions."

The WEF launched a probe into Brende earlier this month, or at least publicly announced one, over his connections to Epstein, including attending at least three "business dinners" and exchanging emails and text messages with the sex offender.

Brende and Epstein communicated over email between 2018 and 2019 about meeting at the sex offender's New York mansion for dinner.

In a previous statement, Brende said he was "completely unaware of Epstein's past and criminal activities."

Perhaps Brende's assistant should have run a background check on Epstein, or at the very least, a very simple Google search. Epstein was first arrested by Palm Beach, Florida, authorities in 2006. In 2008, he pleaded guilty to two prostitution-related charges, one involving a victim under 18. He was arrested again in 2019 on federal sex-trafficking charges.

This is yet more negative press for the WEF cult, which has a unified vision in which people own nothing, eat bugs, and are told to be happy about it. That left-wing globalist agenda is fundamentally at odds with an America First worldview. Perhaps the Trump administration should host its own rival gathering next year - an "American Economic Forum."

On the other side of the covered windows, absentee ballots were being processed on the day after the 2020 election, with little to no oversight by Republican poll challengers and, in many cases, absolutely no oversight by anyone other than the almost exclusively Democratic Party election workers and supervisors.

Here are a few of the absentee ballots our incredible team of volunteers has already flagged as having “issues.”

Let’s begin with this “voter,” who is registered to vote and voted from a NON-EXISTENT address in Detroit. We have confirmed that 8286 Auburn St., Detroit, MI, is a fake address. This “voter” successfully registered to vote from this address and received an absentee ballot in the 2020 election. According to the official City of Detroit “Received” date stamp, his absentee ballot envelope was received on the day before the election. The “Clerks Only” section of the envelope reveals that this “voter” from a fraudulent address was given ballot #8574. Curiously, this voter has now been wiped clean from the Michigan voter rolls.
