Former President Joe Biden told the far-left BBC waiting to drop out of the 2024 presidential race until just a few months before Election Day made no difference to the outcome.

“I don’t think it would’ve mattered,” Biden answered when asked if he’d waited too long to withdraw.“We left at a time when [trails off]we had a good candidate. She was fully funded. And what happened was, I had become—what we had set out to do, no one told me to do, we’d become so successful, our agenda was hard to say ‘I wanna stop now.’”

He rambled on, “I meant what I said when I started: I’m preparing to hand this to the next generation, a transitional government, but things moved so quickly that it made it difficult to walk away to get—it was a, uh, it was a hard decision, but, uh [trails off].”

When asked about regrets, Biden said, “No, I think it was the right decision. I think that, uh, well, it was just a difficult decision.”

Biden still looks and sounds terrible, even though he’s had plenty of time to rest after leaving office.

For Biden to say his waiting to drop out made no difference is him basically saying, Nothing and no one could’ve defeated Trump. Such an admission will not make Democrats, the corporate media, and the organized left happy.

Nevertheless, even on Planet Memory Care, Biden must know how ridiculous that sounds. While I generally agree with the subtext of Biden’s answer, that after four years of a disastrous presidency, Trump would’ve been nearly impossible to beat, time is and will always be the most important asset for a presidential campaign.

Had Biden dropped out earlier, Democrats could’ve held a primary followed by a real convention that would’ve given their candidate time to find a better message than the one Biden stuck Kamala Harris with: Who wants more of the same for another four years!?

Democrats might have also nominated a candidate more appealing than Kamala, an objectively dumb woman who could not even put together a cohesive sentence —or— maybe Kamala would have had time to do the reps to learn how to speak clearly without the help of the corrupt activists at 60 Minutes.

But, hey, isn’t that the beauty of all this—Democrats torturing themselves over all these What ifs?

Never forget, though, that the same people upset over Biden’s late withdrawal are the very same people responsible for it.We all saw that the emperor had no clothes. It was Democrats, the corporate media, and activists who insisted our eyes and ears were lying.

Had they acknowledged reality instead of operating under the delusion it was still the pre-New Media era where they could fabricate a phony reality, Biden would’ve never run for re-election.

I don’t blame Biden. He hardly knows where he is. It’s his enablers who deserve the blame, and watching them stew in What if?as Trump dismantles their cherished institutions is freaken glorious.

The Air Force’s New Drone Program Is Coming to California

The “Collaborative Combat Aircraft” drone program doesn’t quite stir the imagination as other, more famous aircraft have—but it is still integral to the cutting-edge NGAD system.

The U.S. Air Force has chosen to locate its first “Aircraft Readiness Unit” for the forthcoming drone wingmen, or “Collaborative Combat Aircraft” (CCA), at Beale Air Force Base in northern California.

The CCA, which is expected to accompany the F-47 NGAD sixth-generation fighter, has begun ground testing in preparation for a first test flight, scheduled for this summer.

“Starting ground tests is a key milestone for the CCA Increment 1 program,” said General David Allvin, Air Force Chief of Staff.

“This phase bridges the gap between design and flight, reducing integration risks, boosting confidence, and laying the groundwork for a successful first flight and eventual fielding to the warfighter.”

Testing the New Drone Wingmen at Beale Air Force Base

The Aircraft Readiness Unit, stationed at Beale AFB, will “provide combat aircraft ready to deploy worldwide at a moment’s notice,” according to the Air Force. Accordingly, the CCA is expected to “fly a significant number of daily sorties to maintain readiness.”

But all that comes later. Right now, ground testing is underway, which “includes rigorous evaluations” of the CCA’s “propulsion systems, avionics, autonomy integration, and ground control interfaces.”

The testing is designed to “validate performance, inform future design decisions, and prepare the systems for flight testing later this year.”

The CCA program will join a long-line of prominent programs to be based from Beale AFB, which is somewhat isolated to the north of Sacramento. Previously, the famed SR-71 Blackbird operated from Beale.

At present—albeit not for much longer—the base is also home to the legendary U-2 Dragon Lady. Both the SR-71 and U-2 are Cold War-era reconnaissance aircraft that are designed to fly in the upper reaches of the Earth’s atmosphere.

Moreover, both aircraft were, at their inception, ultra-sensitive and packed with novel technologies.

The CCA program doesn’t quite stir the imagination, or a sense of romanticism, in the way that the SR-71 or U-2 have.

Still, the program is integral to the NGAD system, which is at the very cutting edge of aviation technology and a harbinger of the automated/remote-operated future of aviation that surely awaits.

All About the CCA Drone Program

The CCA program currently consists of two separate airframes, the General Atomics YFQ-42A, and the Anduril YFQ-44A.

“At least one of the prototypes is expected to head into production for the program’s first tranche or “increment,” although other firms are also able to compete for the opportunity,” Breaking Defense reported.

“A separate pool of vendors is competing to develop the autonomous software that will pilot the drones, although that competition is classified.”

The Air Force hopes to field an operational CCA platform before the end of the decade, allowing advanced fighters like the F-35 and F-47 to operate with a dedicated “wingman.”

Both General Atomics and Anduril have said that their respective programs are on schedule. “We remain on schedule to test and fly YFQ-42 in the coming months,” General Atomics President Dave Alexander said.

Ukrainian drone strikes hit two Russian defense plants, grounding flights in Moscow, security service says

Long-range drones operated by Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) struck two key Russian defense industry plants overnight, igniting fires and prompting mass flight disruptions in the Moscow region, sources within the SBU told the Kyiv Independent on May 7.

According to the SBU, Ukrainian drones targeted the Bazalt plant in Krasnoarmeysk, Moscow Oblast, Russia’s primary manufacturer of munitions and weaponry for all branches of its military.

Residents reported at least seven explosions followed by a large fire at the site.

Simultaneously, another strike hit the Splav plant in Tula, a city located about 180 kilometers (110 miles) south of Moscow.

Splav is reportedly the only facility in Russia responsible for designing and producing multiple-launch rocket systems and related ammunition. Footage from the scene appeared to show heavy smoke and flames engulfing part of the facility.

The strikes, according to the SBU, triggered heightened alert measures across the Moscow Oblast, forcing Russian authorities to enact “Plan Cover,” a security protocol that includes grounding civilian air traffic.

Airports across Moscow and the surrounding oblast temporarily shut down, stranding thousands of passengers and forcing airlines to cancel or reroute hundreds of flights.

ro-Kremlin sources, including the Telegram channel Mash, reported a near-total “collapse” of air operations across Moscow airports on the night of May 7.

Around 350 flights were reportedly affected, with over 60,000 passengers impacted, according to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia.

Some passengers were forced to wait on board planes for hours without food or clear information.

The disruption comes just two days before Russia’s annual Victory Day parade on May 9, a central propaganda event for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Separately, Ukrainian drone strikes on May 7 reportedly damaged the Optic Fiber Systems plant in Saransk, Republic of Mordovia, according to independent Russian outlet Astra and Ukrainian security officials.

The facility, which produces fiber for Russian military drones, suffered “serious damage,” said Andrii Kovalenko, an official with Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council.

A second fire broke out nearby at the Saranskkabel plant. Local residents described hearing powerful explosions around 6 a.m. in the city’s industrial zone.

Russian authorities have banned the publication of images or video from the attack sites.

The Kyiv Independent was unable to independently verify these claims.

Whether DeSantis would have won the White House in 2024 is a question for the ages. Trump aside, the campaign exposed one of DeSantis's biggest weaknesses: his reluctance to build alliances and establish personal connections.

• "There was a time when every Republican in the nation wanted to have a beer with Ron DeSantis," said one Republican who still likes him. "The problem is that the governor didn't act like he wanted to have a beer with them, and it showed."

DeSantis had risen to Republican stardomwith his laissez-faire approach to COVID restrictions in 2020 and 2021. Florida's Legislature kowtowed to him repeatedly.

• That came to a screeching halt this year, when DeSantis dragged lawmakers into a special session on immigration that many felt was needless political peacocking by the governor.

• The multiple special sessions and acrimony in the state Capitol played a role in the Legislature's regular 60-day session not ending on time last Friday, despite Republicans holding super majorities in both the House and Senate.

The intrigue: The Hope Florida scandal's damage to Casey DeSantis was evident in a voter survey shared with Axios by a business group that examined the state of play in Florida politics:

• In January —before her charity was targeted by the House investigation — Casey DeSantis led U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds by 4 percentage pointsin a hypothetical matchup for governor. A recent survey hadher trailing Donalds by 5 points — a 9-point swing.

• When voters were told that Donalds had been endorsed by President Trump, Donalds' lead jumped to 28 points in the survey.

Zoom out: Casey DeSantis still may run for governor, but people familiar with her thinking say the Hope Florida controversy has been a wake-up call.

• "She doesn't have the stomach or the temperament for this," said one Republican who has discussed a campaign with her.

• Another disagreed: "She has time. She's popular. The DeSantis brand is strong."

• "He's the most followed and accomplished governor in the country," DeSantis spokesman Bryan Griffin said, criticizing media coverage of "bogus intrigue."

• Ron DeSantis fumed about "bogus narratives" when he was heckled about Hope Florida at a recent news conference on the snapper fishing season.

What's next:Political observers and insiders aren't sure about DeSantis' future as he heads into his lame-duck year without the clear prospect of an appointment in Trump's administration that some allies have hoped for.

• "Ron DeSantis went from Rupert Murdoch and every Republican billionaire telling him he could be president to sniping at hecklers at a fish shack in Destin," said former Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz, a one-time DeSantis ally turned critic who now hosts a talk show on One America News Network.

Over 500 Ukrainian drones shot down in one day – Russia

Russian anti-aircraft defenses have repelled a large-scale Ukrainian attack, downing two Western-supplied HIMARS rockets and over 500 drones, the Defense Ministry in Moscow said on Wednesday. Five long-range Neptune guided missiles and six JDAM precision-guided aerial bombs were also destroyed.

Aerial assaults have increased in the lead-up to a ceasefire declared by Russian President Vladimir Putin, which is scheduled to take effect from midnight on May 7–8 through midnight on May 10–11.

Intended as a humanitarian gesture to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany, the three-day pause also opens the door to potential “direct negotiations with Kiev without preconditions,” Moscow said.

In a new interview with Benny Johnson, House Oversight Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) revealed what may be the most damning development yet in the fight to uncover the truth behind Jeffrey Epstein’s sinister global sex-trafficking and blackmail network: the Epstein files may have already been destroyed—and the federal government might be complicit.

Comer, who has spearheaded numerous high-profile investigations into Biden family corruption and the weaponization of federal agencies, made it clear: he believes the Department of Justice no longer has the files—if it ever did.

Comer believes the files are already destroyed to cover up the deep state.

“I don’t think the Department of Justice has [the Epstein files]—or at least the Attorney General does not have them—or she would have turned them over. The President ordered them released.

The Attorney General ordered them released. We all know they have not been released. One of my biggest fears, which I expressed with Kash Patel and a lot of people, including Stephen Miller, going into the new administration, was this: I hope they’re not shredding documents right now. This was a few weeks before the transition.

I said, “I hope they’re not shredding documents.” But you all need to go on that first day and try to get all this stuff released, because my fear—based on what I’ve dealt with in investigations and in communication with this deep state apparatus—is that they’re probably in there shredding documents as we speak. So, hopefully someone has a copy of that.

The Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, led by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL), has been relentless in its pursuit of transparency, but Comer revealed that Luna is “pretty frustrated” by the stonewalling.

And I hope we find out, because our task force, led by Anna Paulina Luna—you’ve had her on your show many times—has done everything. I mean, she’s relentless, she’s persistent, and she’s pretty frustrated right now that these files haven’t been released, even though the President and the Attorney General have ordered them released.

But it’s like I told Anna, the same thing I told Patel and everybody else: you assume that somebody in the deep state said, “Okay, we’ll just put these in a file back here—this incriminating evidence on everybody—and maybe the next administration can do whatever they want to do with it.” That’s unfortunately the way it’s supposed to work, but it hasn’t worked with this deep state.

Comer’s gravest concern is the potential involvement of the federal government in Epstein’s operations.

The congressman suggested the Deep State’s actions may not be driven by loyalty to figures like the Clintons, but rather by a desire to protect their own power and avoid disruption.

Benny Johnson:

So they’re just going to let the incriminating evidence sit there smoldering, that can put them all in prison.

James Comer:

They should. That’s what they’re supposed to do. But you and I have dealt with them, Benny. You’ve covered the deep state as well as anyone. They cover their tracks, and it’s just hard for me to believe they’re going to leave incriminating evidence. If the government was involved—if the government wasn’t involved, I don’t think they would have any reason to protect Bill Clinton or Hillary Clinton.

They’re never going to be elected to anything again. I don’t think they would have any reason to protect Bill Gates or anybody else. The concern I’ve always had about the Epstein file is: was the government involved? Did the government know? Was the government using Epstein and the videos to blackmail the most influential people around the world?

If that’s the case, then they knew there were victims of sex crimes there—and they did nothing. That’s the concern I have. If the government covers this up, I don’t believe it’s because of any love affair or affection for the Clinton family, just like I never believed they were hiding and covering for the Bidens because they loved Joe Biden. It was because they hated Donald Trump.

They didn’t want their agencies to be disrupted.The same thing with the Epstein files. I don’t know this, but my concern is that the government may have known a lot more and may have been an active participant—maybe with the intentions of intelligence gathering.

Who knows? But at the end of the day, I don’t think the American people would be okay if the government knew that crimes against young women were occurring, and yet they did nothing to intervene.

Kremlin comments on ceasefire plans after Ukrainian drone strikes

The intensification of Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian territory will not affect Moscow’s plans to introduce a 72-hour Victory Day ceasefire, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.

Last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russian forces would suspend all offensive operations from midnight on May 7-8 to midnight on May 10-11.

According to Moscow, the truce is a humanitarian gesture to mark the 80th anniversary of Soviet victory over Nazi Germany and could serve as a catalyst for “the start of direct negotiations with Kiev without preconditions.”

Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky has declined to support the ceasefire, dismissing it as a Russian ploy and an “attempt at manipulation.”

Instead, Kiev has ramped up its drone strikes on Russian territory, with high-ranking Russian diplomat Rodion Miroshnik saying on Tuesday that the past week saw a record number of civilian casualties from such attacks, with 15 people being killed and 142 others injured.

Peskov assured journalists on Tuesday that Russia remains committed to the Victory Day truce despite the actions of Ukraine.

“Yes, this is an initiative by the Russian side, by President Putin. It remains in force,” he said.

By ordering more UAVs attacks on Moscow and other Russian regions, “the Kiev regime continues to demonstrate its essence, its inclination to terrorist actions,” the spokesman argued.

“Our special services, our military are taking all measures to ensure that Victory Day celebrations take place in a calm, stable and peaceful atmosphere,” he added.

Earlier in the day, Russian MP Andrey Kolesnik warned that Moscow could come up with an “asymmetrical” response to the Ukrainian drone attacks ahead of May 9.

According to the lawmaker, the strikes do not have any military purpose. “We will hit them hard,” Kolesnik told News.ru website.

When asked about possible Russian retaliation, Peskov stressed that “there is nothing to comment on in this case. Our position on the ceasefire is well known.

According to an internal memo reviewed by The Lever, the Trump administration is reportedly preparing to welcome the first wave of white South African refugees to American soil within days.

On February 7, 2025, President Trump signed an executive order halting all U.S. aid to South Africa, citing “government-sponsored race-based discrimination,” including racially discriminatory property confiscation.

It can be recalled that South Africa’s EFF leader Julius Malena was again calling for genocide against white South Africans at a rally last year.

Following the executive order, the U.S. Embassy in South Africa reported receiving a list of over 67,000 individuals expressing interest in refugee status under this program.

U.S. officials have begun interviewing applicants, with more than 30 approvals reportedly granted as of late April 2025, according to Reuters.

According to The Lever, the memo, signed by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy and ORR Assistant Secretary Andrew Gradison, outlines a coordinated effort to expedite the resettlement of this vulnerable population using funds from the federal “Preferred Communities” program—traditionally reserved for those at highest risk, including the elderly and sick.

The outlet also reported that the first group of Afrikaners is expected to arrive in the U.S. within the coming days.

Sudan army anti-aircraft repel drone attacks in Port Sudan, Suakin for fourth day

Drone attacks hit Sudan’s temporary capital, Port Sudan, for a fourth consecutive day on Wednesday, witnesses said, with army anti-aircraft defences engaging the unmanned aircraft.

Early on Wednesday, eyewitnesses told Sudan Tribune they heard three explosions near the army’s Flamingo naval base, north of Port Sudan on the Red Sea coast.

It marked the third such attack on the Flamingo base during recent drone assaults on the city. The Sudanese government has blamed the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) for the wave of attacks.

Army anti-aircraft defences engaged the drones targeting the base, reportedly for the first time during the attacks on Flamingo, according to the Sudan Tribune reporter. Smoke was seen rising from the direction of the base.

In Suakin, about 50 km (30 miles) south of Port Sudan, army anti-aircraft also engaged drones attempting to attack the city.

A drone crashed into a goods warehouse at Prince Osman Digna Port in Suakin, causing limited damage, local sources told Sudan Tribune.

Port Sudan has faced drone attacks since Sunday. The Sudanese government has accused the RSF of carrying out these attacks and has alleged the United Arab Emirates backs the paramilitary group.

Previous targets in the city have included Port Sudan Airport, a power substation, oil depots near the southern port and in the south of the city, and the Marina Hotel in central Port Sudan, close to government buildings.

Pakistan shoots down seven Indian drones

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Army has shot down four more Indian drones over infiltration attempts, taking total number of destroyed drones to seven.

Security sources said the forces downed the drones in Sialkot sector, besides confiscating two others after taking their control using the modern EW capabilities.

Earlier, the security forces destroyed three drones, including armoured drone Heron, in Barnala, Shakargarh and Kotli sectors.

Sources said the Pakistan Army was giving a befitting response to the India aggression.

It is recalled that Pakistan shot down five Indian fighter jets and a drone after the neighbouring country launched a midnight attack at six different locations, leaving 26 civilians dead and injuring 46.

Meanwhile, Lt Gen Ahmad Sharif confirmed on Wednesday that 26 innocent Pakistani civilians were martyred and 46 sustained injuries after attacks by India.

The military spokesperson said Bilal mosque near Muzaffarabad was targeted by Indian aggression, resulting in three martyrs.

Another mosque in Muridke was also attacked, where three men were martyred and one injured. In Kotli, a 16-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy were martyred.

However, no casualties have been reported from Sialkot and Shakargarh.

Moreover, 13 people were martyred in a cowardly attack in Ahmadpur Sharqia. The armed forces immediately retaliated, delivering a strong and timely response to the enemy.

BEIRUT (AP) — An Israeli drone strike on a car in southern Lebanon killed an official with the Palestinian militant group Hamas early Wednesday, authorities said.

Hamas said in a statement that Khaled Ahmad al-Ahmad, who was a member of its military wing, was killed while he was on his way to a mosque to attend dawn prayers.

The Israeli military confirmed that it had targeted al-Ahmad, saying he was a commander with Hamas in south Lebanon and was behind several attacks against Israel.

Since Hamas’ attack on southern Israel triggered the war on Oct. 7, 2023, Israel’s military has targeted members of the group in Lebanon, where Hamas has a military presence.

The group has also carried out rocket attacks from Lebanon since the Israel-Hamas war began, and in recent weeks Lebanese authorities detained several men linked to Hamas on suspicion of firing rockets toward Israel.

Lebanese authorities warned Hamas last week that it would face the “harshest measures,” if it carried out any attacks from Lebanon.

Lesbian judge blocks school board from removing sexually explicit books, saying it’s unconstitutional to follow ‘conservative values’

A school board in Colorado cannot remove sexually explicit, profane, and “transgender” books from school libraries because the school board is conservative, according to a federal judge touted as the first openly lesbian judge west of the Mississippi.

The ACLU’s Colorado chapter filed a suit on behalf of two minors, the NAACP Wyoming State Area Conference, and the Authors Guild, claiming that the school district engaged in viewpoint discrimination when removing the books. The judge granted a preliminary injunction in March, forcing the Elizabeth School District (in Elizabeth, a suburb southeast of Denver) to restore the books.

Judge Charlotte Sweeney second-guessed the school district’s objections to the books’ contents, calling the objections “pretexual” and condemning the removals as partisan because school board members had discussed following their conservative convictions when debating the removal of the books.

“Other than pretextual declarations, at this stage, there simply is no reason to believe that the books were removed because of vulgarity, age-inappropriateness, or for legitimate pedagogical [teaching] concerns; the board’s own emails strongly suggest that the book removal was motivated by the directors’ ‘commitment to conservative values,’” Sweeney wrote. “The court questions what could be more partisan or political than removing books to further the board’s self-described conservative values.”

Julian Ellis, the school district’s attorney, told The Daily Signal that the district had asked Sweeney to hold an evidentiary hearing so she could review the books herself, yet the judge refused. The board had included segments from the books in its filings, aiming to demonstrate the vulgar and inappropriate material, but the judge dismissed those.

Instead, the judge ruled that “the district’s decisive factor in voting to permanently banish the removed books was because the district disagreed with the views expressed in the books and to further their preferred political orthodoxy.”

“The court viewed any decision motivated by ‘conservative values’ as unacceptable and partisan,” Ellis explained. “The problem with the district court’s analysis is those ‘conservative values’ could be assigned to any book removal decision—a book that’s never been checked out, a book with ice cream stains on the cover, or a book that denies the Holocaust” (emphasis original).

“This also begs a question: How could a ‘conservative’ school board ever remove problematic content without the board members’ conservatism disqualifying the decision?” Ellis asked. He condemned the ruling as “unequal treatment because of one’s conservative values.”

Dan Snowberger, the board’s chairman, told The Daily Signal that Sweeney abused her authority.

“The fact that she is failing to acknowledge that the plaintiffs have mischaracterized the content of the books in question—despite our filings, including segments of the books, and refuses to even hold a hearing to allow the parties to present facts—is rather interesting and doesn’t seem impartial,” he said.

Left-leaning activist groups cheered Sweeney’s confirmation to the federal bench in 2022, celebrating her as “the first LGBT woman to serve as a federal district judge west of the Mississippi.”

Sudan has cut diplomatic ties with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), after repeatedly accusing the Gulf nation of backing the rival Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the country's civil war.

The announcement came as the RSF were blamed for attacks on the usually safe city of Port Sudan, which started on Sunday and have continued until Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Sudan's Defence Minister Yassin Ibrahim accused the UAE of violating his country's sovereignty through its "proxy", the RSF.

The UAE has repeatedly denied allegations that it is giving financial, military and political support to the paramilitary force.

Two years of conflict has killed thousands, forced millions from their homes and created the world's worst humanitarian crisis.

As a result of the defence minister's announcement, the Sudanese ambassador will be withdrawn from the UAE and Sudan will shut its diplomatic missions in the Gulf nation.

Since Sunday, drone strikes have hit an international airport, a major power station and a hotel in Port Sudan.

The army has accused the RSF of being behind the assault, but the paramilitary group is yet to comment.

On Wednesday the Sudanese army said it had foiled a strike on the country's biggest naval base.

"They [the drones] were met with anti-aircraft missiles," an unnamed source told the AFP news agency.

Until now, Port Sudan had avoided bombardment and was regarded as one of the safest places in the war-ravaged nation.

Sudan's army has often accused the UAE of arming the RSF.

Both the UK and the US have singled out the UAE in separate appeals for outside countries to stop backing Sudan's warring parties.

However, on Monday, the UN's top court dismissed Sudan's case against the UAE, in which it accused the Gulf state of complicity in genocide.

The International Court of Justice in The Hague ruled that the case could not proceed because the UAE had opted out Article 9 of the Genocide Convention, which means that it cannot be sued by other states over genocide allegations.

Reem Ketait, the UAE's deputy assistant minister for political affairs, said the court's decision was "clear and decisive".

"The international community must focus urgently on ending this devastating war and supporting the Sudanese people, and it must demand humanitarian aid reaches all those in need," she said.

Both the army and RSF have been accused of war crimes.

Warning amid surge in drone incursions near Hawarden Airport

The message isn’t one of restriction, but safety. Officials say drones can and should be part of a safe, modern airspace - but only when used with proper awareness and approval.

“We’re committed to integrating drones safely into our skies,” said PC Dave Jackson, based at Hawarden Airport. “But pilots need to understand that flying near an airport without permission is not only dangerous - it’s illegal.”

In recent weeks, multiple drone incursions have been reported within Hawarden’s Flight Restriction Zone (FRZ) - a controlled airspace that extends 2.5 nautical miles from the runway and covers aircraft approach and departure paths.

These incidents are now being jointly investigated by the North Wales and Cheshire police forces. Unauthorised drone flights within the FRZ have caused the closure of the runway, and flights, including the Airbus Beluga XL, to be diverted to other runways.

“This isn’t about stopping drone use,” PC Jackson continued. “It’s about protecting aircraft, passengers, and our local communities. We’ve had a worrying increase in unauthorised flights, and we’re acting to make sure drone pilots know what’s at stake."

PC Jackson said there were several incidents over the bank holiday weekend.

In the UK, police have specific powers under the Air Traffic Management and Unmanned Aircraft Act 2021 to enforce drone laws.

These powers include making drones land, stopping and searching people or vehicles for drones, and confiscating and keeping drones found during searches.

Penalties for violating drone regulations can range from warnings to fines and even imprisonment.

Know the rules

Flying a drone within Hawarden’s Flight Restriction Zone requires explicit permission from the airport. Without it, pilots risk prosecution under UK aviation laws.

Officials are asking all drone operators—whether hobbyists or commercial users—to plan ahead and use the tools available to them, including:

Bondi's comments come after a very lame 'Epstein Files' release in February, in which the DOJ handed out "phase 1" binders to a group of influencers that did not contain any new information.

Epstein, the disgraced pedophile financier who was found dead in a New York prison cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges, is known to have had extensive recording devices throughout his various properties.
