Iran Says Haniyeh Was Killed by a ‘Short-Range Projectile,’ Not Planted Bomb

Eyewitnesses who were in the house in Tehran where Haniyeh was killed say a projectile hit the building

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement on Saturday that Hamas’s political chief, Ismail Haniyeh, was killed by a “short-range projectile” in Tehran, contradicting reports that he was killed by a planted explosive.

According to Iran’s PressTV, the IRGC said the “attack involved the use of a short-range projectile armed with a warhead weighing approximately seven kilograms, which subsequently caused a massive explosion.”

Haniyeh was killed while staying at a heavily guarded official guest house in Tehran during a visit for the inauguration of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. The New York Times and several other Western media reported he was killed by an explosive that was planted in the guest house by Israeli intelligence months earlier, but Hamas officials and eyewitnesses say a projectile hit the building.

“I was there, and the wall and ceiling of the place where he was were collapsed. It is clear from the appearance of the place after the attack, and from the body of the martyr leader Ismail Haniyeh, that the targeting was carried out by an air-dropped projectile,” Khaled Kaddoumi, Hamas’s representative in Iran, told The Cradle.

Discussing the reports of a bomb being planted in the building, Kaddoumi said, “The narrative published by The New York Times about Mossad agents planting explosive devices inside the apartment where Haniyeh stayed is completely fabricated … They are trying to evade responsibility and its consequences for Israel.”

Israel has a history of conducting covert attacks and assassinations inside Iran. Operations in recent years have involved gunmen, small quadcopter drones, and planted explosives at nuclear facilities.

Iran is vowing revenge for the killing of Haniyeh, and a major attack on Israeli territory is expected to happen soon. The US has deployed more military assets to the region and has said it will help defend Israel from any reprisal.

Omer Dostri, who is a regular guest on Israel’s Channel 14, was appointed to the new role on Sunday. He is aligned with the Israeli right and has a history of calling for policies that would result in the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from Gaza.

“There is no victory over Hamas without three basic conditions: military occupation of the entire Gaza Strip, military and civilian control of the area, and encouragement of voluntary migration of Gazans out of the strip,” Dostri said in January.

While framing the idea of expelling Palestinians as “voluntary migration,” the Israeli military campaign is making Gaza uninhabitable and could give Palestinians no choice but to leave if they have the option. Dostri has suggested Egypt should be offered economic or military aid to agree to the transfer of “Gaza refugees to Sinai, even if only temporarily.”

Dostri has also called for Israel to establish settlements in the areas of Gaza that it currently occupies. “Israel must order the rapid establishment of Israeli settlements in many of the areas it occupies, especially those close to the current border,” Dostri wrote in Makor Rishon.

The Israeli military controls about 26% of Gaza’s territory, including a “buffer zone” that was established along the entire Israel-Gaza border. In these areas, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has demolished most structures and has established some military bases.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed he does not plan on establishing settlements in Gaza, but members of his coalition government and Likud party openly support the idea. Appointing a spokesman who favors settlements in Gaza also signals that the prime minister is aligned with that viewpoint.

Russia legalizes Bitcoin, other cryptocurrencies for international transactions

Russian legislators have approved a bill allowing businesses to use Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to settle international transactions.

This development is part of Russia's strategy to evade Western sanctions enforced after the beginning of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine. The new law also updates existing regulations on cryptocurrency mining and the circulation of other digital assets while at the same time maintaining the ban on domestic cryptocurrency payments.

This law, which will come into effect in September, aims to address the significant delays in Russia's international transactions, especially with major trading partners such as China, India and the United Arab Emirates. Central Bank of the Russian Federation Gov. Elvira Nabiullina strongly advocated for this law and stated that the country's first nation-to-nation cryptocurrency transactions will occur before the year's end.

"The risks of secondary sanctions have grown. They make payments for imports difficult, and that concerns a wide range of goods," Nabiullina said. The central bank also emphasized that the delays in payments have contributed to the eight percent decline in Russian imports in the second quarter of 2024.

These delays persist despite different strategies being employed, such as using the native currencies of trading partners and developing an alternative payment system through the BRICS economic bloc. Many transactions still depend on American dollars and European Union euros and are processed through the Western-controlled SWIFT system, raising the threat of secondary sanctions and more delays.

Nabiullina stressed that these sanctions have affected import payments, expanding supply chains woes and raising expenses.

This decision by Russian legislators seeks to alleviate the economic difficulties caused by sanctions and guarantee softer international trade operations.

"We are taking a historic decision in the financial sphere," Anatoly Aksakov, the head of the State Duma, Russia's lower house of parliament, told lawmakers on Tuesday, July 30, after passing the legislation.

According to Mati Greenspan, CEO of crypto market research company Quantum Economics, Russia warming to crypto seemed right as bitcoin transactions "cannot be censored or blocked by any government or bank."

"Previously, Russia would not want to allow that kind of transactional freedom to its citizens – but now we're at the point that bitcoin is used so often in everyday commerce that the opportunity cost for them not to allow it is simply too great," Greenspan added.

The world's biggest digital currency is currently worth $66,000, as reported by CoinGecko data, up over 120 percent in the last 12 months.

Other sanctioned nations have often tried to avoid such financial restrictions through the use of cryptocurrencies. For instance, North Korea has on several occasions been charged with increasing millions of dollars in crypto to aid in financing different state programs and avoid foreign sanctions.

Must Be Election Year: Biden’s DHS Freezes Immigrant Parole Program Due to Fraud

The Biden regime has temporarily frozen the CHNV Parole Program to due concerns of fraud. It’s hard to imagine they would care about a program that has currently flown over 500,000 people into the US when they have let well over 10 to 12 million illegals cross the border in the last few years.

The CHNV Parole Program, permits up to 30,000 people to be flown into the US each month from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela if they meet certain qualifications. It originally started in 2022 with Venezuela, then included Haiti, Cuba and Nicaragua by early 2023.

EXCLUSIVE: The Biden administration has put a controversial program that allows tens of thousands of migrants from four nations to fly or travel directly into the U.S. on hold, after a report circulated internally showing significant amounts of fraud in the program.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed to Fox News Digital that “out of an abundance of caution,” it has temporarily paused the issuing of advance travel authorizations for the program — which allows up to 30,000 nationals from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela (CHNV) to travel into the U.S. each month and enter legally under the administration’s use of parole if they meet certain conditions.

A congressional source had told Fox News Digital the pause came in mid-July after an internal report unearthed large amounts of fraud in applications for those sponsoring the applicants. DHS said the pause was occurring as it reviewed sponsor applications. The focus is on issues with supporter filings, and not with the filings from the beneficiaries of the program themselves.

“A congressional source tells Fox News Digital that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) stopped issuing travel authorizations to Venezuelans on July 6 and authorizations for the three remaining nationalities on July 18,” Fox News reported.

A report had showed that social security numbers and other information on the forms were used hundreds of times. The proportion of the number of forms to the number of sponsors for the CHNV Parolees showed evidence of fraud. Addresses were used numerous times, social security numbers of dead people were used, and some addresses were storage units. One phone number was submitted on about 2,000 forms.

In May, TGP had reported on the CHNV program. At that time there were approximately 434,000 people who were flown in on the program. That number is now over 500,000.

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has refused to take responsibility for the border crisis and for immigration in general. In February he was on “Meet the Press” and said he was not responsible for a “broken system.”

“Do you bear responsibility for what is happening at the border?” Kristin Welker asked.

“We don’t bear responsibility for a broken system,” Mayorkas continued.

Moderna Admits Covid mRNA Shots Cause Cancer

Documents have emerged that show Moderna has always known that the pharmaceutical giant’s Covid mRNA shots cause cancer.

The evidence has surfaced as cases of rapidly developing “turbo cancer” are continuing to surge around the world.

Doctors and oncologists have dubbed the cancers “turbo” due to the rapid onset and spread.

Experts have warned that the speed at which these cancers form and spread is unprecedented.

In some cases, doctors are reporting that seemingly healthy patients are dying within a week of being diagnosed with cancer.
