A New Jersey student has said he is barred from taking classes at Rutgers University because he has not been vaccinated — even though he is only studying virtually from home.

Logan Hollar, 22, told NJ.com that he largely ignored the school’s COVID mandate “because all my classes were remote” from his Sandyston home, some 70 miles from Rutgers’ campus in New Brunswick.

But he was locked out of his Rutgers email and related accounts when he went to pay his tuition at the end of last month — and was told that he needed to be vaccinated even though he has no plans to attend in person.

Hollar has now been forced to miss classes that started Sept. 1 — and has been warned it could be weeks before a decision is reached on his application for an exemption to the vaccine mandate, he said.

“I’ll probably have to transfer to a different university,” Hollar told NJ.com, saying he knows of at least one other student in the same position.

“I find it concerning for the vaccine to be pushed by the university rather than my doctor,” he told the outlet.

“If someone wants to be vaccinated, that’s fine with me, but I don’t think they should be pushed,” he insisted, saying that he doesn’t find COVID to be scary” because he is healthy and “not in an at-risk age group.”

“I don’t care if I have access to campus. I don’t need to be there. They could ban me. I just want to be left alone,” he said….

A boat belonging to the cousin of Gavin Newsom sank early Monday morning. The owner died on Christmas Day.

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (KGO) – A woman's boat sunk at the San Rafael Yacht Harbor early Monday morning. The woman died on Christmas Day and is the cousin of Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom.

The woman's estate does not have enough money to salvage the boat, so the Coast Guard says it will have to take responsibility of the clean up.

"It meant a lot to her it was a great boat," said Brennan Newsom, boat owner's brother.

Brennan Newsom says his sister lived on the boat. He watched clean up crews toss her belongings onto a barge and asked them to please be careful.

"There are super nice antiques and fine china down there, and we will deal with it day by day," said Brennan Newsom, boat owner's brother.

Sia - Music Video "Thunderclouds" (Decoded)

The video starts with a closeup of an owl with glowing red eyes, that serves as an hood ornament. So we immediately know, that the car is owned by a freemason/member of another dark secret society. Later we see the "third eye" painted on the door and backside of the car. It symbolizes awareness/open Minds Eye.

A puppet clown (CIA=Clowns In America) with Sias hairstyle, who has strings attached to him (controlled), spots a small thundercloud (dangerous lightning=hit? and rain/water=info) with a looking glass. Rain/water (info) is threatening, because in this context rain represents damaging info that could e.g. reveal the identity of the agent. Decoding @Symbols explained this by showing pictures of the Bushes, seemingly being unable to pull a rain cape over their heads. It sends the comm, that they can't protect themselves from damaging info.

He stands on top of the flying hippie car and seems to serve as a lookout.

Sia (played by Maddie Ziegler) also notices the thundercloud through the window of the car and climbs on top of it to help the clown. Heat and light hinder her from taking his hand and the clown vanishes. From this point onward Sia takes his place on top of the car, with a new outfit. The big blue loop on her head are visually reminding of Mickey Mouse ears. I think they serve the same reason as the looking glass did for the clown: improving senses to be a good lookout for threats. She makes some dancemoves where her arms are seemingly yanked upwards by the elbows (strings attached).

The driver of the car is Diplo, who wears a hat (job comm). He controls the car and Sia (psychic driving symbolism). Labrinth is also a mage who flies sitting on a cloud next to the car. When the car is out of fuel it sinks out of the sky and Sias energy is also depleted, another hint that she is connected to the car.

The group gathers around a campfire at night, while Diplo is checking the engine of the car.

A small thundercloud chases Sia around and the other members of the group witness a magical flower fully opening and Diplo nods in approval. We see it from behind, so it's hard to identify the specific flower. Because of the next scene, I think it symbolizes Sias enlightenment.

Sia learns the Magic of symbolism by playing cards with the thundercloud. She does not fear the thundercloud anymore and seemingly has befriended it. Labrinth flies up with his cloud and meets a butterfly (butterfly effect = a small action, like a butterlfy flapping its wings, can lead to a great consequence, like a storm). Labrinth harnesses lightning from the butterfly.

Labrinth brings the power down to the group and Diplo uses a bat (Decoding @Symbols identified the bat as a symbol for Trump, because of sports comms - read on his Blog for further explanation: https://decodingsymbols.wordpress.com/2021/01/23/100-days-countdown/ almost at the bottom) to transfer the power from Labrinths cloud into the engine of the car.

edit: I am not sure if the Bat can symbolize Trump outside of complete sports comms. Maybe it is too far fetched?

Gaining power from (maybe) Trump and the Storm (remember: The calm before the storm?) implies that the group flipped over to the side of the patriots. They don't have to fear the thunderclouds anymore, since they most likely won't get hit with damaging info. As a consequence they start their car again and fly right through the storm. Sia dances on the roof again, but she is not attached to strings, she rather uses magic to send out lightning strikes. Labrinth helps the group to make it out of the storm.

Sia turns around and is happy and sad at the same time. She parts in love from the small thundercloud. Now it finally rains and the group witnesses the whole land becoming green. This symbolizes the effect of declassified info on the world: The beginning of a prosperous golden era of truth.

So, like the lyrics say: Don't be afraid of the thunderclouds, even if you have trust issues for a good reason.

As fighting California's Caldor Fire makes significant progress with evacuations of South Lake Tahoe downgraded to warnings, more than a dozen new fires erupted around the state on Monday.

Newly released documents provide details of U.S.-funded research on several types of coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China. The Intercept has obtained more than 900 pages of documents detailing the work of EcoHealth Alliance, a U.S.-based health organization that used federal money to fund bat coronavirus research at the Chinese laboratory. The trove of documents includes two previously unpublished grant proposals that were funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, as well as project updates relating to EcoHealth Alliance’s research, which has been scrutinized amid increased interest in the origins of the pandemic.

The documents were released in connection with ongoing Freedom of Information Act litigation by The Intercept against the National Institutes of Health. The Intercept is making the full documents available to the public.

“This is a road map to the high-risk research that could have led to the current pandemic,” said Gary Ruskin, executive director of U.S. Right To Know, a group that has been investigating the origins of Covid-19.

According to Richard Ebright, a molecular biologist at Rutgers University, the documents contain critical information about the research done in Wuhan, including about the creation of novel viruses. “The viruses they constructed were tested for their ability to infect mice that were engineered to display human type receptors on their cell,” Ebright wrote to The Intercept after reviewing the documents. Ebright also said the documents make it clear that two different types of novel coronaviruses were able to infect humanized mice. “While they were working on SARS-related coronavirus, they were carrying out a parallel project at the same time on MERS-related coronavirus,” Ebright said, referring to the virus that causes Middle East Respiratory Syndrome.

Asked about the grant materials, Robert Kessler, communications manager at EcoHealth Alliance, said, “We applied for grants to conduct research. The relevant agencies deemed that to be important research, and thus funded it. So I don’t know that there’s a whole lot to say.”

The grant was initially awarded for a five-year period — from 2014 to 2019. Funding was renewed in 2019 but suspended by the Trump administration in April 2020.

The closest relative of SARS-CoV-2, which causes Covid-19, is a virus found in bats, making the animals a focal point for efforts to understand the origins of the pandemic. Exactly how the virus jumped to humans is the subject of heated debate. Many scientists believe that it was a natural spillover, meaning that the virus passed to humans in a setting such as a wet market or rural area where humans and animals are in close contact. Biosafety experts and internet sleuths who suspect a lab origin, meanwhile, have spent more than a year poring over publicly available information and obscure scientific publications looking for answers. In the past few months, leading scientists have also called for a deeper investigation of the pandemic’s origins, as has President Joe Biden, who in May ordered the intelligence community to study the issue. On August 27, Biden announced that the intelligence inquiry was inconclusive.

Biden blamed China for failing to release critical data, but the U.S. government has also been slow to release information. The Intercept initially requested the proposals in September 2020.

“I wish that this document had been released in early 2020,” said Chan, who has called for an investigation of the lab-leak origin theory. “It would have changed things massively, just to have all of the information in one place, immediately transparent, in a credible document that was submitted by EcoHealth Alliance.”

The second grant, “Understanding Risk of Zoonotic Virus Emergence in Emerging Infectious Disease Hotspots of Southeast Asia,” was awarded in August 2020 and extends through 2025. The proposal, written in 2019, often seems prescient, focusing on scaling up and deploying resources in Asia in case of an outbreak of an “emergent infectious disease” and referring to Asia as “this hottest of the EID hotspots.”

A decade ago, scientists funded by the National Institutes of Health used ferrets to engineer a highly lethal flu virus. The purpose of the research — known as “gain of function” — was to better understand how viruses evolve and to help devise medicines to combat the potential disease threats.

It also came with a risk: A laboratory mishap could unleash a devastating pandemic.

The research, conducted in the Netherlands and at the University of Wisconsin, sparked an international controversy and led to new safeguards for such experiments. But over the past four years, NIH leaders and other U.S. officials have weakened key aspects of those controls, a Washington Post examination found.

The high-risk research has reemerged as a focal point because of speculation that such experiments in Wuhan, China, may have accidentally triggered the coronavirus pandemic. While Chinese virologists deny that their work is to blame, accidents have occurred on rare occasions in labs elsewhere in the world, leading to inadvertent releases of pathogens.

“The risks are absolutely real. They’re not intellectual constructs or hypotheticals,” said David A. Relman, a Stanford University physician and microbiologist who has advised NIH and other federal agencies on biosecurity. Eventually, he said, “something that you make or information that you release will result in an accident of some kind.”

Newly-Released Documents Detail US-Funded Coronavirus Research at Wuhan Institute of Virology: Report

New documents have been released detailing U.S.-funded research on various types of coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, where the first outbreak of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus occurred.

More than 900 pages of materials were obtained by The Intercept in connection with a Freedom of Information lawsuit by the publication against the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

The documents detail the work of the EcoHealth Alliance, a U.S.-based health organization that used federal money to fund research into bat coronaviruses at the Chinese lab.

They include two previously unpublished grant proposals funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, as well as project updates related to EcoHealth Alliance’s research.

One of the grants awarded by the NIH to EcoHealth Alliance is titled “Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence,” and amounts to $666,422.

It outlines an ambitious plan led by EcoHealth Alliance President Peter Daszak to “investigate the ecology, evolutionary biology and transmission dynamics of bat coronaviruses at the human-wildlife interface.”

“Specifically, we will conduct field studies in China to obtain high quality samples from bats, and identify, characterize and isolate known and novel coronavirus. We will analyze the patterns of coronavirus transmission among bats and other wildlife, and the risk of spillover to humans,” the proposal reads. The research also involved screening people who work with live animals.

The documents also note that key experimental work with humanized mice was conducted at a biosafety level 3 lab at Wuhan University Center for Animal Experiment, and not at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, as was previously assumed, The Intercept reported.

The grant proposal also acknowledges the potential dangers of the study, including during fieldwork, stating that it “involves the highest risk of exposure to SARS or other CoVs, while working in caves with high bat density overhead and the potential for fecal dust to be inhaled.”

“There is also some risk of exposure to pathogens or physical injury while handling bats, civets, rodents or other animals, their blood samples of their excreta,” the document states. “Virus isolation may be a challenge,” researchers note.

The bat coronavirus grant provided the EcoHealth Alliance with a total of $3.1 million, including $599,000 that the Wuhan Institute of Virology used in part to identify and alter bat coronaviruses likely to infect humans, according to The Intercept.

The grant was initially awarded for a five-year period from 2014 to 2019. Funding was renewed in 2019 but suspended by the Trump administration in April 2020.

The second grant awarded by the NIH to EcoHealth Alliance is titled “Understanding Risk of Zoonotic Virus Emergence in Emergent Infectious Disease Hotpots of Southeast Asia,” and was awarded in August 2020 and extends through 2025.

The proposal states it “will bring leaders in emerging disease research from the U.S., Thailand, Singapore and the three major Malaysian administrative regions together to build an early warning system to safeguard against pandemic disease threats.”

The team would “identify novel viruses from Southeast Asian wildlife, characterize their capacity to infect and cause illness in people, and use serological assays of samples from people in rural communities with high wildlife contact to identify the background rate of exposure, and risk factors that drive this.”

In-depth surveillance at hospitals serving these communities would be used to examine if cryptic outbreaks are caused by these novel agents, which researchers hoped would help them develop a rapid response to outbreaks in such regions…..
