I was just banned from Telegram.
Was in a private channel preparing a big drop about Pegasus. Right as I was preparing to push info out, telegram booted me and banned my phone number.
I appealed the ban, but I doubt it will be effective. If the Telegram appeal is granted, then I will address this issue again.
I believe Pepper is still an admin on the codemonkeyzchat channel. I emailed her and will ask her to pin a message and shut down new messages to the codemonkeyzchat channel if she still is able to access and admin it.
Effective immediately the codemonkeyz channel, the codemonkeyzchat channel, and the alienleaks channels on telegram are compromised until further notice.

SEC’s Gensler Issues Warning as Fake Stocks Bloom on Blockchains
Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Gary Gensler has a warning about the synthetic stocks popping up on blockchains: Firms selling the tokens to U.S. investors are likely to end up in trouble with regulators. In a Wednesday speech, Gensler made clear that tokens that mirror the performance of Amazon Inc., Tesla Inc. and other well-known companies are probably still covered by U.S. securities laws. He also pledged to use all the resources in the SEC’s “enforcement toolkit” to go after those who might be offering such assets without registering them.
“It doesn’t matter whether it’s a stock token, a stable value token backed by securities or any other virtual product that provides synthetic exposure to underlying securities,” Gensler said for an event held by the American Bar Association. “These platforms whether in the decentralized or centralized finance space are implicated by the securities laws and must work within our securities regime.” Gensler’s comments referenced what’s known as DeFi, a fast-moving corner of the cryptocurrency market where tokens that track the performance of huge companies have started emerging. The trading has triggered regulatory scrutiny that’s prompted some in the industry to pull back. Cryptocurrency exchange Binance Holdings announced last week that it was phasing out support for tokens linked to equities.
Gensler has repeatedly said that cryptocurrencies need more oversight. In May, he told a House panel that he was looking forward to working with Congress and other regulators “to fill in the gaps of investor protection.” He added that digital token exchanges were ripe for additional rules and urged lawmakers to pass legislation giving the SEC authority to police the trading venues.

Yields Hit Session High After 20Y Auction Tails Most Since February
Just days after a handful of ugly (if not that ugly) coupon auctions hit the tape, moments ago the Treasury sold the last coupon issuance of the week when it priced another $24BN in 7 year paper in the form of a 19Y-10M reopening of Cusip SY5.
The auction was ugly: with a high yield of 1.890%, it was lower than last month's 2.12% which is to be expected following the recent plunge in yields, but despite today's continued move wider in yields, the auction still tailed the When Issued 1.878% by 1.2bps, the biggest tail since Feb.
The bid to cover dropped from 2.40 in June to 2.33, right on top of the six-auction average. The internals were average: Indirects took doown 60.2%, down from 62.1% last month, if above the recent average. And with directs also sliding from 20.4% to 18.9%, Dealers were left holding 20.9%, which was above June's 17.5% but below the average of 20.9%
Overall, a slightly disappointing auction if hardly catastrophic, and while 10Y yields hit session highs right after the details printed, the benchmark has since retraced its losses and was unchanged since before the auction.

The government's top spokesman said about 70 Cabinet-level officials are also set to visit Japan, while adding that the number of foreign VIPs in attendance could remain in flux until the last minute. French President Emmanuel Macron is among the world leaders who have announced their attendance, while South Korean President Moon Jae In said he will not visit.

Mitch McConnell warns of lockdowns if COVID vaccine rates don’t increase
A fresh wave of pandemic lockdowns like the ones that crippled the country last year loom on the horizon if people don’t wise up and get vaccinated against COVID-19, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell warned.
“These shots need to get in everybody’s arms as rapidly as possible or we´re going to be back in a situation in the fall that we don’t yearn for — that we went through last year,” McConnell (R-Ky.) said at a news conference Tuesday, adding, “This is not complicated.”
Asked about comments from Utah Gov. Spencer Cox alleging that conservative pundits are killing people with their rhetoric, McConnell stated that he encourages everybody to “ignore all of these other voices that are giving demonstrably bad advice.”
McConnell’s call to seek trusted and verified information about the virus and vaccines mirrors White House efforts this past week to counter false information that they say is spreading on social media and cable news.
McConnell took to Twitter to promote his pro-vaccination remarks, tweeting a portion of them with the words “Get Vaccinated!” at the top of the tweet.
A new Axios Ipsos poll highlights the difficulties that government officials have had in convincing a significant segment of the American population to take the jab: Of the unvaccinated respondents to that poll, fully half said they are “not at all likely” to take it.
The minority leader’s statements come at a time when the Delta variant has led to a spike in COVID cases across the country, although without a corresponding increase in hospitalizations and deaths.
McConnell noted that among those who are currently hospitalized for COVID, 97 percent are unvaccinated.
“It never occurred to me that there would be difficulty getting Americans to get the shot,” he said.
Across the country, some businesses and schools are mulling making vaccination mandatory, but thus far the White House has balked at the notion of a federal mandate to take one of the three provisionally approved vaccines.

Drug Distributors and J.&J. Announce $26 Billion Deal to End Opioids Lawsuits
After two years of wrangling, the country’s three major drug distributors and a pharmaceutical giant have reached a $26 billion deal with states that would release some of the biggest companies in the industry from all legal liability in the opioid epidemic. The announcement was made Wednesday afternoon by a bipartisan group of state attorneys general. The offer will now go out to every state and municipality in the country for approval. If enough of them formally sign on to it, billions of dollars from the companies could begin to be released to help communities pay for addiction treatment and prevention services and other steep financial costs of the epidemic. In return, the states and cities would drop thousands of lawsuits against the companies and pledge not to bring any future action. The settlement binds only these four companies — the drug distributors Cardinal Health, AmerisourceBergen McKesson, and Johnson & Johnson — leaving thousands of other lawsuits against many other pharmaceutical defendants, including manufacturers and drugstore chains, in the mammoth nationwide litigation still unresolved. But these four companies are widely seen as among the defendants with the deepest pockets.
In an emailed statement, Michael Ullmann, executive vice president and general counsel of Johnson & Johnson, said: “We recognize the opioid crisis is a tremendously complex public health issue, and we have deep sympathy for everyone affected. This settlement will directly support state and local efforts to make meaningful progress in addressing the opioid crisis in the United States.” The distributors did not respond immediately to requests for comment. The distributors, which by law are supposed to monitor quantities of prescription drug shipments, have been accused of turning a blind eye for two decades while pharmacies across the country ordered millions of pills for their communities. Plaintiffs also allege that Johnson & Johnson, which used to contract with poppy growers in Tasmania to supply opioid materials to manufacturers and made its own fentanyl patches for pain patients, downplayed addictive properties to doctors as well as patients.
According to federal data, from 1999 to 2019, 500,000 people died from overdoses to prescription and street opioids. Overdose deaths from opioids hit a record high in 2020, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said earlier this month. Under the agreement, the country’s three distributors would make payments over 18 years. Johnson & Johnson would pay $5 billion over nine years. A key feature of the agreement is that the distributors would establish an independent clearinghouse to track and report one another’s shipments, a new and unusual mechanism intended to make data transparent and send up red flags immediately when outsized orders are made. A separate deal between the companies and Native American tribes is still being negotiated. The agreement was presented by attorneys general from North Carolina, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, Louisiana, Tennessee and Connecticut.
Wednesday’s announcement suggests that a critical element — a large majority of states agreeing in principle — has been met. But there are daunting obstacles remaining before any checks are actually cut. The states and the District of Columbia will now have 30 days to closely review the agreement, including how much each would be paid over 17 years. Many states have not yet had the chance to scrutinize the deal. And while many permit their attorneys general to sign off, others require that legislators must be consulted. An unspecified number of states must sign on, for the deal to proceed. If that threshold is not met, the companies could walk away. While the states are deciding, a trial brought by several California counties in state court against Johnson & Johnson and a local West Virginia trial in federal court against the distributors will continue. States also have to begin cajoling their localities, including those that have already filed cases and those that have not, to agree to the deal. The greater the number of local governments that sign on, the greater the amount of money each state will receive.
“The lawyers will do a lot of the strong-arming of their clients, the localities, into agreeing to the settlements, because if the deal doesn’t go through, the lawyers won’t get paid,” said Elizabeth Burch, a law professor at the University of Georgia who has followed the litigation closely.

'NSO Group is on a life-saving mission, and the company will faithfully execute this mission undeterred, despite any and all continued attempts to discredit it on false grounds,' it said.
Foreign governments including India, Rwanda and Morocco have all denied using the software to collect data on targets.
Others targeted include several Arab royal family members, 65 Business executives, 85 human rights activists, 189 journalists including a 'small number from' CNN, the Associated Press, Voice of America, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg News, Le Monde in France, the Financial Times in London and Al Jazeera in Qatar.
Some of the reporters are named Financial Times editor Roula Khalaf, Siddharth Varadarajan and Paranjoy Guha Thakurta from Indian news site Wire Omar Radi, a Moroccan journalist, Mexican freelance journalist Cecilio Pineda Birto and Azerbaijani investigative journalist Khadija Ismayilova.
In 2019, NSO Group reportedly contracted the SKDK - a PR firm run by Anita Dunn, one of President Biden's advisers.

The Treasury Department will probably run out of cash and be unable to make usual payments in October or November absent an increase in the U.S. debt limit, the Congressional Budget Office predicted Wednesday. The borrowing limit is suspended through July 31, and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has previously warned that so-called extraordinary measures her department uses to keep paying obligations may not last long past the end of July. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell has suggested Democrats would need to raise the limit on their own, something Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer called "shameless, cynical and totally political." The White House on Tuesday said President Joe Biden expects Congress to raise the limit.

U.S. President Joe Biden is in the Queen City on July 21 for a town hall hosted by CNN, as CityBeat reported last week. The event, which begins at 8 p.m., is expected to be one hour long and will cover "a wide range of issues facing the nation ranging from COVID-19 to the economy," the cable network said. Tonight's event will take place at Mount St. Joseph University, a private Catholic college in Delhi Township. But Biden plans to make some stops along the way, which means that traffic near the Presidential route could get tricky. According to the President's public schedule for Wednesday, Biden will arrive at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in Hebron around 4:10 p.m. He'll then travel to the IBEW / NECA Electrical Training Center in Westwood, which could mean that the Presidential motorcade will make I-71/I-75 over the Ohio River even more unbearable. According to the public schedule, Biden will discuss union jobs at 5:40 p.m.
The President then will head to Mount St. Joseph University in Delhi for CNN's town hall. The event is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. and will be moderated by CNN anchor Don Lemon.
