Who Is Gloria Lynn Mandich? The Accused Arsonist Behind California's Freddy Fire
Jan 11, 2025
She is accused of starting the Freddy Fire, a brush fire near Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) close to the Ventura County line.
California continues to battle devastating wildfires, with over 130,000 residents displaced and numerous state parks closed. Amid this ongoing crisis, law enforcement has arrested 60-year-old Gloria Lynn Mandich for felony arson. She is accused of starting the Freddy Fire, a brush fire near Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) close to the Ventura County line.
The Freddy Fire broke out on January 8 near Leo Carrillo State Beach, a popular coastal destination. The fire ignited around 12:40 p.m., burning approximately three acres before being brought under control. Firefighters from Los Angeles and Ventura counties collaborated to extinguish the blaze, preventing further spread. Initially, the Freddy Fire was believed to be a spot fire caused by embers from the much larger Palisades Fire. However, investigators soon linked it to Mandich, leading to her arrest by California State Parks officers.
Charges and Legal Proceedings
Mandich faces two serious felony charges filed by the Ventura County District Attorney's Office: arson during a state of emergency and recklessly causing a forest fire. She pleaded not guilty during her arraignment and is currently held in Ventura County's Todd Road Jail with bail set at $20,000. If released, she will be subject to strict conditions, including a ban on possessing matches, lighters, or cigarettes, and compliance with searches for these items. Her next court appearance is scheduled for January 22.

Days before Trump takes office, Mayorkas issues sweeping immigration orders
DHS also issued a final rule to expand the H-1B visa program to allow U.S. employers to hire more foreign workers for “specialized” jobs.
With just days before President-elect Donald Trump is sworn into office, outgoing Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas issued a swath of immigration orders that appear to be designed to prevent illegal border crossers from being deported and open up more ways for foreign nationals to stay in the country.
DHS extended Temporary Protected Status (TPS) to citizens of El Salvador, Sudan, Ukraine and Venezuela.
El Salvador
El Salvador’s TPS was extended through Sept. 9, 2026, “due to environmental conditions in El Salvador.” TPS is granted to 232,000 current beneficiaries.
Under the Biden administration, 306,455 Salvadoran illegal border crossers were reported, including violent members of the MS-13 gang members who’ve been connected to a series of violent crimes committed against Americans, The Center Square reported.
Sudan
Sudan’s TPS was extended for 18 months “due to ongoing armed conflict and extraordinary and temporary conditions … continued political stability … human rights abuses” among other reasons. It applies to 1,900 current beneficiaries who are Sudanese citizens or “individuals without nationality who last resided in Sudan who have been continuously residing in the United States since at least August 16, 2023, with or without lawful immigration status.”
TPS was granted to Sudan after President Joe Biden continued to extend national emergency orders citing national security threats related to terrorism, threats posed by Afghanistan, Sudan, Syria, and other countries, foreign threats related to weapons of mass destruction, and Islamic threats that escalated under his administration, The Center Square reported.
Ukraine
Ukraine’s TPS was extended for 18 months “due to ongoing armed conflict and extraordinary and temporary conditions in Ukraine.” It applies to 103,700 current eligible beneficiaries.
This was after President Joe Biden sent another $63 million in assistance to Ukraine on Dec. 2 and after $3.4 billion was sent by the U.S. Treasury Department for budget aid through the 2024 Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act passed by Congress. The federal government has sent more than $30 billion to Ukraine since February 2022.
Venezuela
Venezuela’s TPS was extended for another 18 months with no end date “due to extraordinary and temporary conditions … severe humanitarian emergency … due to political and economic crises.” It applies to those who arrived in the U.S. by July 31, 2023. Those arriving after that date are ineligible.
TPS was granted for approximately 600,000 eligible current beneficiaries from Venezuela.
Under the Biden administration, a record more than 1 million Venezuelans illegally entered the country, including violent members of the prison gang Tren de Aragua. TdA members are now confirmed to be operating in at least 22 states, The Center Square first reported.
Visa programs and waivers expanded
DHS also issued a final rule to expand the H-1B visa program to allow U.S. employers to hire more foreign workers for “specialized” jobs.
The rule was issued after DHS last month added another nearly 65,000 H-2B visas through a different visa program for fiscal 2025 after already filling 66,000 H-2B visas.
The visas are used in the hospitality, tourism, landscaping, seafood processing and other industries. The most recent round allocates 20,000 visas to workers from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Haiti, Colombia, Ecuador or Costa Rica and 44,716 supplemental visas for returning workers who received an H-2B visa, or were otherwise granted H-2B status, during one of the last three fiscal years. The visa programs have been criticized for taking jobs away from American workers, tied to those who’ve committed crimes and been involved in forced labor conditions, according to multiple news reports.
DHS also expanded the visa waiver program to include citizens of Romania “to allow most citizens and nationals of Romania to apply to travel to the United States under the VWP for tourism or business purposes for up to 90 days without first obtaining a U.S. visa.” The authorization is generally valid for two years, however, some countries have waivers dating back to 1991.

It's a good start...
Whitmam County Commissioners issue moratorium on wind energy projects
“This is a huge step in the right direction, and we couldn’t have done it without all of your support,” a Facebook post read. “Thank you to everyone who has worked tirelessly to get us to this point.”
Members of a community group opposed to plans for a large wind farm project near Kamiak Butte in Whitman County are celebrating a decision this week by county commissioners to place a moratorium on new commercial wind turbines.
Commissioners cited the need to update regulations on wind energy projects.
Save the Palouse, a nonprofit organization formed in opposition to the project, posted news of the six-month moratorium on social media.
“This is a huge step in the right direction, and we couldn’t have done it without all of your support,” a Facebook post read. “Thank you to everyone who has worked tirelessly to get us to this point.”
As previously reported by The Center Square, the proposed Harvest Hills Wind Project could provide power to 90,000 homes for 25 to 30 years as part of the state’s goal of reaching 100% clean energy by 2045.
In a Thursday interview with The Center Square, Rick McNannay, president of Save the Palouse, detailed the group’s objections to the wind farm.
“One of the biggest issues we have is them saying there’s going to be this windfall of taxes coming in,” he explained. “That’s absolutely not the case. In the beginning, there is tax revenue, and then as the equipment gets older, that depletes, and citizens are expected to pick up the difference in those taxes because people become used to having that influx of money.”
McNannay said his group is also concerned about losing beautiful views across the county that draw people from all over the world.
“We’ve got a huge photography business going on in this area,” he said. “Every time you go around a corner and look out over the rolling hills, there’s somebody stopped taking a picture. There are photography groups that come from all over the world to take pictures here.”
The state trying to exert control is the biggest issue for McNannay.
“Olympia is telling our local government in Whitman County what is best for us here,” he said. “That doesn’t sit well with me.”
McNannay noted the recently approved Horse Heaven wind and solar project in the Tri-Cities, which moved forward despite community objections and an initial recommendation from the Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council to scale back the project's size.
As reported by The Center Square, Gov. Jay Inslee then pressed EFSEC to approve the initial much larger project, which may ultimately include 222 turbines about 500 feet tall or 141 turbines about 670 feet tall. Plans also call for solar arrays and battery storage, stretching from Horse Heaven Hills just south of Kennewick for about 24 miles from Finley to Benton City in the Tri-Cities metropolitan area.
The project is likely to be delayed by a series of lawsuits.
“EFSEC isn’t even involved in our project at this point,” McNannay said, noting his organization has secured legal counsel, fearing the developer could go straight to the state to try and get the ball rolling despite the moratorium adopted this week by Whitman County Commissioners.
“We need to get control of our counties back to the county, and the more pushback each community gives the state,” he said. “Hopefully, they’ll step back and decide they need to start taking into consideration what the counties want.”
According to the project developer’s website, “The Harvest Hills wind project will provide low-cost, reliable energy and create economic growth for Whitman County. The project will bring 200 megawatts of clean energy and is designed to integrate within existing farms and ranches, adding resiliency to the Washington energy system.”
This project is under development by Steelhead Americas out of Portland, Ore., the North American development arm of Vestas, the world’s largest wind turbine manufacturer.
Despite the moratorium, developers are hosting a community meeting about the project on Tues, Feb. 4, at the Lewis Alumni Centre at Washington State University in Pullman.

Fire budget was cut by Newsom by $100 million before Los Angeles wildfires: report
California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom cut wildfire and forest resilience funding by over $100 million, according to reports.
The budget, which was signed in June of 2024, months before the wildfires in the Los Angeles area that began earlier this week, cut $101 million from seven "wildfire and forest resilience" programs, according to Fox News.
As of Saturday morning, 12,000 structures have been damaged or destroyed, there are 11 confirmed deaths and 13 missing people, and about 166,000 people are still under mandatory evacuation orders, according to the LA Times and a Saturday morning news conference.
Firefighters have struggled to contain the fires as many fire hydrants have lacked water to pump and a reservoir has been out of commission.

NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab still 'untouched' by raging LA fires
January 11, 2025
NASA's famed Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) has weathered the firestorm so far.
The raging Eaton fire has devastated Altadena and other neighborhoods at the feet of the San Gabriel Mountains just north of Los Angeles.
However, firefighters have managed to keep the flames away from JPL, NASA's lead center for planetary exploration, which lies just to the west.
"UPDATE: @NASAJPL is untouched by fire due to the brave dedication of our first responders.
But our community has been very seriously impacted, with over 150 JPLers who have lost their homes and many more displaced," JPL Director Laurie Leshin said via X today (Jan. 10).
Leshin's X post included a link to a disaster-relief fundraising site devoted to helping those JPL folks, as well as people based at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, which manages the center for NASA.
"Significant devastation in our community. 1,000 still evacuated. More than 150 lost homes completely, many others will be displaced long term," she added in another post today.
JPL — which runs NASA's Perseverance and Curiosity Mars rover missions, among many other projects — has been closed since Wednesday (Jan. 8), the day after the Eaton fire began.
The center will remain shuttered for another week; all but essential personnel are mandated to work remotely through at least Jan. 17, according to an update today on the JPL emergency-information site.
As of this afternoon, the Eaton fire had burned about 14,000 acres (5,666 hectares) and was just 3% contained, according to The New York Times, which cited L.A. County Fire Chief Anthony Marrone.
And it's just one of several blazes tearing through the L.A. area.
The Palisades Fire, on the western side of the city, is the biggest and most destructive of the bunch; it has torched more than 20,000 acres (8,094 hectares) and remains only about 8% contained, according to NBC News.

The city of Los Angeles is on the verge of redrafting blueprints for its neighborhoods to accommodate more than 250,000 new homes. But under a recommendation from the planning department, nearly three quarters of the city will remain off limits to further growth.
At stake is no less than a vision for Los Angeles’ future. Will L.A. continue to preserve communities dominated by single-family homes? Or will the city make a historic shift to allow for more affordable housing in areas that have long excluded it?
The department’s proposal leaves alone neighborhoods that allow only for the building of single-family homes — as well as accessory dwelling units in many cases — a classification that represents 72% of the residential land in L.A. Instead, the department is pushing for the city to meet the 250,000-unit production goal through incentives for greater development in existing multifamily and commercial areas.

L.A. City Council committee approves sweeping housing rezoning plan

A key Los Angeles City Council committee signed off on a sweeping rezoning plan Tuesday that would focus new market rate and affordable housing on commercial corridors and in existing dense residential neighborhoods.
The effort is in response to state housing mandates that seek to alleviate the housing crisis by requiring the city find land where an additional 255,000 homes can be built and have the plan in place by mid-February.
In hours of public comment, members of the Planning and Land Use Management Committee committee heard from Angelenos who wanted to preserve single family neighborhoods and those who wanted to open the areas up to more development to reduce economic and racial segregation.
“We need affordable housing everywhere — in every neighborhood,” said Maria Patiño Gutierrez, a policy director with the nonprofit Strategic Actions for a Just Economy.
Patricia Carroll, a resident of St. Andrews Square in central L.A., told the committee that though she lives in a multifamily area, she enjoys walking through nearby neighborhoods filled with single family houses, grass and trees.
“If this was to disappear ... L.A. would be a very sad place to live,” Carroll said.
In the end, the committee voted 4 to 0 to approve a recommendation from the City Planning Commission that largely leaves single family zones alone.

The proposal can still be modified by the full City Council and some council members not on the PLUM committee have expressed interest in shifting course when it comes to single-family zones.
“By opening up some of these neighborhoods — to some new housing — we would actually be making steps towards undoing the city’s patterns of segregation that in many cases policymakers imposed upon this city,” Councilmember Nithya Raman told the committee.

Los Angeles has to rezone the entire city. Why are officials protecting single-family-home neighborhoods?
Sept. 26, 2024
As now written, the proposed Citywide Housing Incentive program would enable developers to build more than currently allowed in commercial zones and in residential neighborhoods where apartment buildings are already allowed. In order to do so, developers would need to include a certain percentage of affordable units — and the property must be near transit or along a major street near jobs and good schools.

Three Humvees stolen at Army Reserve Center in Tustin
Local police and the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division are looking for three Humvees after they were stolen this week from an Army Reserve Center in Southern California.
Unidentified thieves broke into the Army Reserve Center’s storage warehouse in Tustin, California on Wednesday, Jan. 8, the Tustin Police Department announced Friday evening. . They broke several storage lockers and took the contents inside them before making off with three Humvees. One is armored, the other two are sporting cloth doors. The robbery happened between 8 p.m.-11:30 p.m.
“An attempt was made to cut a lock to uniform storage, however it was unsuccessful,” the Tustin Police Department said in its alert. “A fence was cut to gain access to a military vehicle parking lot where three Humvees were stolen. The suspects left the area at an unknown time.”
According to authorities, outside of the Humvees, the thieves made off with 40 binoculars, eight machine gun vehicle mounts, seven machine gun tripods and unspecified “medical equipment.” Although no firearms were taken in the theft, the thieves did take 18 bayonets along with the other military gear.

More than 600 California National Guard troops activated and 8 aircraft heading to assist with wildfires, Pentagon says
WASHINGTON – More than 600 California National Guard troops have been activated and eight modular airborne firefighting systems are gearing up to assist with the fires devastating the Los Angeles area, the Pentagon said Friday.
Two modular airborne firefighting systems, or MAFFS, are expected to begin operations Friday and the remaining six are expected to be ready for Sunday, Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh told reporters. The firefighting equipment, loaded into the cargo compartment of a C-130 aircraft, can drop up to 3,000 gallons of water or fire retardant in six seconds through a nozzle on the rear left side of the plane.
The White House in a statement earlier this week that the California and Nevada National Guards were each contributing two MAFFS, with U.S. Northern Command adding four more.

CIA can read WhatsApp messages – Zuckerberg
Encryption prevents Meta from accessing chats, but it is powerless when someone logs directly into a user’s phone, the company’s CEO has said
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has acknowledged that US authorities, including the CIA, can access WhatsApp messages by remotely logging into users’ devices, effectively bypassing the platform’s end-to-end encryption.
Speaking on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast on Friday, Zuckerberg explained that while WhatsApp’s encryption prevents Meta from viewing message content, it does not protect against physical access to a user’s phone.
His comments came in the context of a question by Rogan about Tucker Carlson’s quest to set up an interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In February last year, while speaking about finally succeeding in talking to Putin after three years of failed attempts, Carlson blamed the US authorities, namely the NSA and the CIA, for stalling his efforts. According to Carlson, the agencies spied on him by tapping his messages and emails, and leaked his intentions to the media, which “spooked” Moscow from talking to him. Rogan asked Zuckerberg to explain how this could have happened given encryption safeguards that are supposed to protect messages.
“The thing that encryption does that’s really good is it makes it so that the company that’s running the service doesn’t see it. So if you’re using WhatsApp, there’s no point at which the Meta servers see the contents of that message,” Zuckerberg said, noting that even if someone were to hack into Meta’s databases, they could not access users’ private texts. The Signal messaging app, which Carlson used, uses the same encryption, according to Zuckerberg, so the same rules apply. However, he noted that encryption does not stop law enforcement from viewing messages stored on devices.
“What they do is have access to your phone. So it doesn’t matter if anything’s encrypted, they could just see it in plain sight,” he clarified. Zuckerberg mentioned tools such as Pegasus, a spyware developed by the Israeli company NSO Group, which can be covertly installed on mobile phones to access data.
According to Zuckerberg, the fact that users’ private messages can be jeopardized by directly breaking into their devices is the reason Meta came up with disappearing messages, where one can have one’s message thread erased after a certain period of time.
“If someone has compromised your phone and they can see everything that’s going on there, then obviously they can see stuff as it comes in… So having it be encrypted and disappearing, I think is a pretty good kind of standard of security and privacy,” he stated.
Zuckerberg’s remarks come amid ongoing debates about digital privacy and government surveillance. While end-to-end encryption is lauded for protecting user data, agencies like the CIA and FBI have argued it can impede efforts to combat crime and terrorism. A 2021 FBI training document indicated that US law enforcement can gain limited access to encrypted messages from services like iMessage, Line, and WhatsApp, but not from platforms such as Signal, Telegram, Threema, Viber, WeChat, or Wickr. Additionally, while encrypted messages cannot be intercepted during transmission, reports indicate that backups stored in cloud services may be accessible to law enforcement if an encryption key is attached.

From Earth to the edge of space: Entire atmosphere dataset could benefit climate models and space weather prediction
January 10, 2025
A team led by researchers at the University of Tokyo has created a dataset of the whole atmosphere, enabling new research to be conducted on previously difficult-to-study regions. The work has been published in Progress in Earth and Planetary Science.
Using a new data-assimilation system called JAGUAR-DAS, which combines numerical modeling with observational data, the team created a nearly 20-yearlong set of data spanning multiple levels of the atmosphere from ground level up to the lower edges of space.
Being able to study the interactions of these layers vertically and around the globe could improve climate modeling and seasonal weather forecasting.
There is also potential for interdisciplinary research between atmospheric scientists and space scientists, to investigate the interplay between space and our atmosphere and how it affects us on Earth.
Complaining about the weather, and about weather forecasters when they get things wrong, is a popular pastime for many. But a meteorologist's job is not easy.
The atmosphere is multilayered, interconnected and complex, and global climate change is making it even harder to forecast both long-term and sudden, extreme weather events.
To help overcome these increasing challenges, researchers have created a dataset of the entire atmosphere.
Ranging from September 2004 to December 2023, it spans multiple levels of the atmosphere from ground level up to the lower edge of space, about 110 kilometers above Earth's surface.
The region between about 50 km to 110 km (though exact ranges vary) is particularly of interest, as it is so notoriously difficult to study that it had previously been dubbed the "ignorosphere."
This region is too low for satellites and too high for weather balloons to observe, resulting in a shortage of data and consequently research.
However, it is a fascinating area, characterized by vast global atmospheric tides and small-scale gravity waves which affect wind and temperature.
It also plays an important role in the intensity of the impact of space weather events.
"The JAWARA (JAGUAR-DAS Whole neutral Atmosphere Reanalysis) dataset is a strong research tool which, for the first time, makes it possible to quantitatively understand atmospheric general circulation and the hierarchal structure of waves and vortices in the mesospheric layer (which is above the stratosphere and about 50–90 km above Earth's surface) and lower thermospheric layer (about 90–110 km above Earth's surface) of the atmosphere, including the ignorosphere," explained Professor Kaoru Sato from the University of Tokyo.
"If we can better understand these layers, it would improve our ability to respond to climate change, extend the lead time of seasonal forecasts and advance our understanding of space weather phenomena."
The team developed its new JAGUAR-DAS high-speed data assimilation system as part of an international project led by Sato.
The system integrates observational data into a numerical model which can then produce data on atmospheric conditions.
The resulting dataset, named JAWARA, makes it possible to perform detailed analysis of the general circulation of the atmosphere and its hierarchical structure.
"Atmospheric general circulation models which range up to the lower edge of space have only been developed by a limited number of research institutions around the world, including our own," said Sato.
"Recent studies indicate that extreme stratospheric phenomena can start at least in the upper mesosphere.
Therefore, quantitative elucidation of phenomena in the mesosphere and lower thermosphere is extremely important for weather forecasting."
The dataset is now openly available, and the team intends to use it to study the large-scale circulation and the hierarchical structure in the atmosphere, as well as vertical and interhemispheric (i.e., between the Northern and Southern hemisphere) couplings.
They also hope to work in collaboration with space scientists to study the interactions between the atmosphere and space, particularly the mesosphere (where the highest clouds form) and ionosphere (located within the thermosphere and about 60–300 km above Earth's surface, where many satellites are based).

Zuckerberg’s cash fuels GOP suspicion and new election rules
By Nicholas Riccardi
Published 6:25 AM MST, August 8, 2021
DENVER (AP) — When Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg donated $400 million to help fund election offices as they scrambled to deal with the coronavirus pandemic late last summer, he said he hoped he would never have to do it again.
Republican legislatures are granting him that wish.
At least eight GOP-controlled states have passed bans on donations to election offices this year as Republicans try to block outside funding of voting operations. The legislation often comes as part of Republican packages that also put new limits on how voters can cast ballots and impose new requirements on county or city-based election officials.
The response is spurred by anger and suspicion on the right that Zuckerberg’s money benefited Democrats in 2020. Conservatives have long accused the tech mogul’s social media platform of censoring right-wing voices as part of its campaign against misinformation.
Zuckerberg’s money was largely distributed through a nonpartisan foundation that had liberal roots. Conservative groups cite analyses that the money went disproportionately to Democratic-leaning counties in key states such as Florida and Pennsylvania.

Former Hove MP Ivor Chaplin arrested
The former Labour MP for Hove, Ivor Caplin, was arrested today (Saturday 11 January) after a sting by paedophile hunters.
The sting was live-streamed on Facebook and further footage of the arrest was shared online.
Sussex Police said: “We are aware of footage circulating on social media showing a man in Brighton being detained on suspicion of engaging in online sexual communications with a child.
“Officers can confirm that a local 66-year-old man was arrested on Saturday January 11 and currently remains in custody.
“This is an ongoing and active investigation.”
A confrontation with Mr Caplin, a former defence minister, was livestreamed on Facebook, lasting 30 minutes and attracting more than 36,000 views and 3,000 comments.
Further footage of his arrest similarly shared online.
Mr Caplin is understood to deny any wrongdoing.
Former Hove MP suspended from party over ‘serious allegations’ June 11th 2024
A former Hove MP has been suspended by the Labour Party after serious allegations were made about him.
Ivor Caplin, who was a defence minister under Tony Blair, has removed all mention of Labour from his Twitter profile this week.
In recent weeks, Mr Caplin has been tweeting increasingly explicit images of young men, ranging from semi-naked stills to pornographic videos.
Brighton and Hove News understands the suspension relates to separate allegations. Mr Caplin declined to comment.
The suspension comes less than two weeks after former Brighton Kemptown MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle was suspended, just as he was preparing to campaign for next month’s general election.
The former MPs come from different sides of the party, Mr Caplin from the centrist wing and Mr Russell-Moyle from the left.
Mr Caplin, who was a member of Labour South East’s regional executive committee, helped assemble a panel to oversee Brighton and Hove’s selections for the 2023 local election, which are usually done locally.

Remember the Carlisle Group, Bush family, Cheney+, when the brought major lakes etc in Peru and others in SA with the goal of only they will own & sell the only pure water WW.Guaranteed the Water Mafia are involved not only in these fires in CA, but toxic spills, terrorist contamination of state reservoirs, lake etc in the US. This is MUCH bigger than CA, the NWO wants desperately to destroy and toxicfy the US in any way they can.
Call to dig how many food and water sources have been contaminated since Jan. 20, 2021?
Remember how many food and animal farms, manufacturers of food, warehouse, slaughterhouse, were being destroyed starting day one in 1/20/21.
Remember whenBidan came out of a G7 or other meeting and stated without shame, we are going to create a famine now(in Tucker video)
So the Water Mafia, Food Mafia put all the mechanisms in place to kill millions and millions of people before Trump was back.
I Found at least 20 articles about Famine coming soon.Tucker did this video below on Bidan announcing Famine. During the Ukraine/Russia war the US and EU tried to block Russia's grain to getting to Africa.
Something’s Buggin’ Tucker Carlson, Food Production Is a National Security Issue
January 30, 2023Sundance |
This is a topic we have covered extensively, and it is great to see Tucker Carlson questioning the sudden alignment of various elements that are creating a very real food insecurity problem.
The #1 factor in the shortage of food production is the newly emboldened ‘western energy policy‘ and the impact energy has on everything from field (fertilizer) to fork (distribution). Other factors include government policy that blocks food development (Dutch, Irish and Sri Lanka Farmers), a sudden uptick in food facilities having major fires and damage, and a series of issues with the feed that goes into the production of proteins.
This is all happening as the advancement of insects as a more “sustainable” protein replacement is being advanced by the same western governments. However, if you happen to notice that all of the issues travel in the same direction, you are a conspiracy theorist, or something. WATCH:

This plan is still in place, how will Trump turn this around? They have already destroyed a lot of infrastructure.
And the EU certainly won't allow Trump to interfere with their green plans, man induced Famine and mass killing

We Were Censored By Meta; We're Taking Them To The Supreme Court
The headline from Politico’s “Playbook” would have been unthinkable eight years ago: “Meta sends Trump a friend request.”
After all, Meta’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg, is a political lightning rod in conservative political circles, especially after the $300 million worth of “Zuckerbucks” spent during the 2020 election to elect like-minded politicians.
Yet lately, Zuckerberg has been singing a much different tune. He referred to President-elect Trump as “badass,” visited him at Mar-a-Lago, and donated one million dollars to his inaugural fund. This week, Meta made news by adding Dana White, a longtime Trump ally and head of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), to its board of directors.
Then came the real bombshell: Meta ended its so-called “independent fact-checking program,” ostensibly lifting restrictions on speech across Facebook, as well as their other platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp. In doing so, Zuckerberg admitted the current content moderation practices – in place since criticism of his platform during the 2016 presidential election – have “gone too far” and stressed a commitment to “restoring free expression.”
Make no mistake: Meta’s “independent fact-checkers” are neither independent nor fact-based. Their elimination is a positive step and should be encouraged. The announcement came less than 24 hours after the organization I lead – the nonprofit Children’s Health Defense – asked the U.S. Supreme Court to hear our censorship lawsuit against Meta.
But if Meta is serious about supporting “free expression,” they have a lot of work to do – and it requires more than moving workers from California to Texas, as Zuckerberg also pledged to do.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Meta not only censored our posts – many having to do with topics that the so-called medical “experts” like Dr. Anthony Fauci were dead wrong about – but outright kicked us off the platform without warning. Meta first took action against CHD in May 2019, from takedowns and restrictions to an outright ban in August 2022 that is still in effect. What were our offenses? Simply publishing data on the risks of COVID vaccines, Remdesivir, and ventilation, as well as having the temerity to raise the benefits of natural immunity and alternative treatment with ivermectin and other protocols.
An unfettered discussion of all these issues would have saved lives. We knew that many of the government’s promises – on items like the pandemic’s origin and the best way to treat symptoms and prevent its spread – were not grounded in “science” as they claimed but political imperatives from the Biden administration.
In 2020, we took them to court, starting in the San Francisco federal court. We suffered some legal setbacks along the way, and this week ended up before the U.S. Supreme Court. Meta will not change its ways without a fight. They not only kicked us off the platform but censored our supporters and erased our past posts. Meta shut down the “free expression” they claim to be championing.
Yes, Meta was coerced by the Biden administration, but there’s more to the story. Zuckerberg’s WhatsApp messages showed that he conspired with the government and chose to censor because he had “bigger fish to fry” than protecting free speech. He knew then that censorship violated the rights of free expression, and he knew then that it wouldn’t help the administration bring COVID under control, but he did it anyway.
The pandemic may be over, but speech about COVID is not. If the Supreme Court takes our case, it can guarantee accountability for Meta’s role in this man-made disaster – and prevent another in the future.
Meta, like the other mega-platforms, must be held accountable when they knowingly conform their content-moderation process and decisions or cede active, meaningful control to the government’s preference to suppress constitutionally protected speech.
This time it was CHD’s health and medical freedom issues. But who will be next?

The Bush family is known to have made significant land purchases in Paraguay, which are speculated to be related to the Guarani Aquifer, one of the largest underground water reserves in the world. The Guarani Aquifer lies beneath the surface of Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay, covering an area of about 1,200,000 square kilometers (460,000 sq mi).
Why Did George Bush Buy Nearly 300,000 acres in Paraguay?
APRIL 24TH, 2015
Jody says he has a “secret” about the Bushes. And he adds, “It has to do with an investment idea that’s hardly on anyone’s radar.”
The real reason Jody thinks Bush 43 and family snapped up nearly 300,000 acres in those semiarid, sparsely populated wastes of Paraguay?
Water.
That’s right, blue gold. Bush bought the rights to a veritable ocean of fresh, clear-as-glass, Grade A water.
His land rests atop one of the largest freshwater aquifers in the world: Acuifero Guarani, by name.
According to Jody, “Acuifero Guarani covers roughly 460,000 square miles under parts of Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina. It is estimated to contain about 8,900 cubic miles of water.”
If you can’t quite imagine 8,900 miles of water, picture a pool nearly three times the size of California. That should give you a decent idea.
A fair amount when you consider that 98% of this planet’s water is salt water.
Of the other 2%, almost 87% of it is trapped within glaciers, hence inaccessible. Jody’s “trusty calculator” informs him that only 0.25% of the water on this cosmic ball is fresh (underground, or in rivers and lakes). Just a drop in the figurative bucket…

A diversity-equity-inclusion video from the Los Angeles Fire Department has surfaced, in which the deputy chief, an overweight woman, says if you need to be rescued, it’s your fault: You we’re “in the wrong place.”
Deputy Fire Chief Kristine Larson says the department priority is that residents in crisis are rescued by first responders that “look like” them.
“You want to see somebody that responds to your house, your emergency—whether it’s a medical call or a fire call—that looks like you,” Larson says.
“It gives that person a little bit more ease, knowing that somebody might understand their situation better,” Larson continues. “‘Is she strong enough to do this,'” Larson asked, rhetorically answering criticism she has heard. “Or ‘You couldn’t carry my husband out of a fire.’ Which my response is, ‘He got himself in the wrong place if I have to carry him out of a fire.'”

BlackRock offloading real estate at a loss
In a move that signals significant shifts in the real estate landscape, BlackRock, one of the world’s largest asset managers, is reportedly scaling back its real estate investments by selling properties at a loss. This strategic retreat comes amidst whispers of an impending market collapse, with residential prices stagnating and an oversupply of unsold properties accumulating.
The decision by BlackRock to divest from real estate at a loss is not just a business maneuver but a stark indicator of underlying market dynamics. When a firm with such deep pockets and market influence starts cutting losses, it’s a red flag that the real estate sector might be facing more turbulent times ahead than currently perceived.
The sentiment shared by industry observers is one of caution, if not alarm, with some going as far as to predict that “the market is on the verge of a huge collapse.” This isn’t mere speculation; it’s based on tangible market indicators like the flatlining of residential prices. The properties aren’t moving, and the inventory is piling up, creating a scenario where sellers are increasingly desperate to offload assets, even if it means taking a financial hit.
This situation unfolds against a backdrop where the demand for housing, which once seemed insatiable, is now encountering a reality check. High interest rates, economic uncertainty, and perhaps a shift in buyer behavior towards more caution are contributing to this slowdown. BlackRock’s retreat from real estate could be seen as a preemptive move to mitigate further losses in a market that might not recover its vigor soon.

Black boxes from South Korea plane crash failed to record final 4 minutes, officials say
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — The black boxes of a Boeing jetliner that crashed in South Korea last month stopped recording about four minutes before the accident, South Korean officials said Saturday, possibly complicating investigations into the cause of the disaster that killed 179 people.
After analyzing the devices, the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board concluded that both the flight data and cockpit voice recorders stopped working about four minutes before the crash, the South Korean Transportation Ministry said.
The Boeing 737-800 operated by Jeju Air skidded off a runway in the South Korean town of Muan on Dec. 29 after its landing gear failed to deploy, slamming into a concrete structure and bursting into flames, killing all but two of the 181 people on board.
After initially analyzing the black boxes, South Korean officials sent the devices to the NTSB for closer examination after discovering that some of the data was missing. The transportation ministry said it wasn’t immediately clear why the devices failed to record data in the last four minutes.
“Data from the CVR ( cockpit voice recorder) and FDR (flight data recorder) are crucial in investigating accidents, but such investigations are conducted through the examination and analysis of various sources of information, and we plan to do our utmost to determine the cause of the accident,” the ministry said in a statement.
South Korean investigators have said that air traffic controllers warned the pilot about possible bird strikes two minutes before the aircraft issued a distress signal confirming that a bird strike had occurred, after which the pilot attempted an emergency landing.
South Korean officials have also pledged to improve airport safety after experts linked the high death toll to Muan airport’s localizer system, the structure hit by the aircraft as it crashed. The localizer, a set of antennas designed to guide aircraft during landings, was housed in a concrete structure covered with dirt on an elevated embankment. This has raised questions about whether the structure should have been built with lighter materials that would break more easily upon impact.

January 11th is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.
This day is an important reminder to take meaningful action for those who cannot advocate for themselves. However, it is essential to focus on this issue year-round. Over the past four years, more than 500,000 unaccompanied minors have entered the country, making it a top priority to locate and reunite these missing children with their families. We must protect our most vulnerable populations.

Court Awards Judicial Watch $21,578 in Fees and Costs in Fani Willis Lawsuit.
The Superior Court in Fulton County, GA, issued an order granting $21,578 “attorney’s fees and costs” in our open records lawsuit for communications Willis had with Special Counsel Jack Smith and the House January 6 Committee. The order followed a previous order finding that Willis was in default in the lawsuit.
Judical Watch filed this lawsuit in March 2024 after Willis falsely denied having any records responsive to our earlier Georgia Open Records Act (ORA) request for communications with Special Counsel Jack Smiths office and/or the January 6 Committee (Judicial Watch Inc. v. Fani Willis et al. (No. 24-CV-002805)).
After finding Willis in default, the court ordered a hearing on December 20, which resulted in the latest order finding Willis liable for fees and expenses that “shall be paid within two weeks of the entry of this Order.”

Minnesota doubles down on DEI as major companies like Meta pump the brakes.
The city of St. Louis Park, for instance, is looking to pay up to $143,000 a year for a Racial Equity and Inclusion Director.
I wonder what race the candidate must be? Any guesses?

Wall Street Apes
@WallStreetApes
What another AMAZING “coincidence”
California had just passed new tax laws, if your home burns down and you don’t rebuild within 2 years (impossible in California) you lose your tax basis. Your property taxes SKYROCKET to the new values of the property
“Think about a home that was purchased many years ago for $5 million. Let's say they were paying $65,000 a year in property taxes. Property goes up a lot over time, especially in these areas. Maybe the value today is $30 million. They go to rebuild it. If it was not, if they couldn't transfer the tax basis, you're looking at like $400,000 a year that they would have to pay”
“In 2020, California voters approved a bill that basically said that if your house burns down in a fire, you can transfer the tax basis of that property to something that you buy or something that you build. But you only have two years to do it.”
So some of the most expensive homes and properties the entire world now will get reassessed to pay maximum property tax values….

This is a result of the rules in Proposition 19 in 2020, not a separate new law.
If Proposition 19 was not in effect, homeowners attempting to rebuild after a disaster would face an immediate reassessment of their property, instead of after two years.

Minnesota felon charged in $7.3 million fraudulent Medicaid billing scheme.
The charges are just the latest in a seemingly endless stream of fraud cases in Minnesota that have come to light in the last few years that have totaled hundreds of millions of dollars stolen from taxpayers.
Chavis Dupree Willis, now 46, was previously convicted in 2000 of aiding and abetting second-degree murder, and is therefore barred from owning, managing, or operating any Medicaid-funded business, according to information released by the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office on Thursday.

Democrat super-lawyer behind Steele dossier slaps employees with unexpected blow: ‘He’s frankly an a–hole’.
Democrats are buzzing about powerful party-linked attorney Marc Elias springing a mandatory arbitration clause on employees of his law firm — with insiders speculating about whether the firm has something to hide and accusing Elias of hypocritically limiting worker rights.
New York native Elias, 55, made headlines with his work on Hillary Clinton’s procurement of a dossier full of salacious gossip about then-Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in 2016 — and his eponymous law firm, which he founded in 2021 and has dozens of employees, works primarily on behalf of Democrats and progressive causes.
The Elias Law Group’s new policy, which drew an internal protest letter from 42 subordinates, prevents employees from suing and includes a class-action waiver and non-disclosure agreement, according to the legal news website Above the Law, which first reported on the move.
