Pentagon Says 11 More US Troops In Syria Diagnosed With Traumatic Brain Injuries

The spokesperson for the US Central Command (CENTCOM) Colonel Joe Buccino disclosed on Thursday that 11 more US troops based in Syria have been diagnosed with traumatic brain injury after a series of retaliatory strikes against illegal US bases in March.

According to CNN, Buccino affirmed that the US military’s medical teams are continuing to evaluate and assess their troops for indications of permanent and traumatic brain injuries.

The US personnel wounded in these attacks in Syria amount to 25 troops, including a US military contractor, who was killed at a facility in Syria’s northeastern Hasakah province on March 23. Washington claims the perpetrators of the attack were affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

On the same day of the attack on the US base, US troops carried out "precision airstrikes" in eastern Syria. The presence of the US occupation forces in Syria is deemed illegal under international law.

According to a March 30 CNN report, six US soldiers had also been diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries as a result of attacks from Iran-backed groups in Syria.

Similar brain injuries were sustained by over 100 US soldiers in 2020 after Iranian forces targeted the Ain al-Asad military base in Iraq, where US forces were stationed.

Iran attacked the US base in retaliation for the US assassination of IRGC General Qassem Soleimani and Iraqi resistance leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis in a drone strike at the Baghdad airport on January 3 that year.

When Washington’s effort to topple the Syrian government through militias failed, US planners partnered with the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to fight ISIS and thereby occupy Syria’s strategic oil and grain-producing northwest, which had been under ISIS control.

This has allowed US officials to limit Syrian efforts at rebuilding the country and has exacerbated US-imposed economic sanctions, which have further harmed Syria’s economy and increased suffering among Syria’s civilian population.

Whistleblowers who have come forward from the FBI were slandered and smeared by the mainstream media and congressional Democrats.

We have to look at ways to protect people who are trying to do the good, right, and patriotic thing – but that certainly isn't advanced by the leaking of information.

Supreme Court Associate Justice Clarence Thomas reportedly failed to disclose a 2014 real estate deal with GOP mega donor Harlan Crow.

Crow paid $133,363 to purchase properties in Savannah, Ga. belonging to Thomas, his mother, and his brother's family, a report from Pro Publica indicates. The outlet cited a state tax document and a deed as evidence. Thomas never reported the sale.

The billionaire then began making improvements to the home, where Thomas's mother was living. Crow indicated he believed the property to be of historical value, given that the justice grew up there.

"My intention is to one day create a public museum at the Thomas home dedicated to telling the story of our nation’s second black Supreme Court Justice," he said in a statement. "I approached the Thomas family about my desire to maintain this historic site so future generations could learn about the inspiring life of one of our greatest Americans."

Thomas's mother continued to live in the home until at least 2020.

News of the undisclosed sales of the Georgia properties follows reports from ProPublica that Thomas and his wife frequently went on vacations with Crow at the billionaire's expense. Thomas has insisted he was not required to report the trips.

Yevgeny Prigozhin dismissed the documents as a propaganda ploy to delay Kiev’s attack

The leaked Pentagon documents contain no strategic revelations that could harm Kiev, and the media attention they received must be anattempt by the West to delay the Ukrainian military’s much-announced “spring offensive,”Wagner Group head Yevgeny Prigozhin said on Friday.

“The documents by themselves do not pose any strategic danger,” Prigozhin said in a statement posted on social media, describing their published contents as mostly being based on open sources. “However, the leak was widely publicized and immediately after it, statements from sources close to thePentagon began about the need to delay the offensiveannounced for April 15 until the summer.”

Commenting on the arrest of the alleged leaker, a 21-year-old Air National Guard member, Prigozhin said he may have been a fool or a dupe, but “if this leak had not happened, it would certainly have been invented.” The documents themselves, he emphasized, contain nothing that would add to the risk of the Ukrainian military should it launch its long-anticipated attack.

“It is clear that the military operations on Ukraine’s side are tactically directed by Ukrainian soldiers, but strategically by the so-called Western coalition,run by the UK and the US,“ said Prigozhin.

He accused the West of “holding back” the Ukrainian military in a “dramatic pause,” after it had been assembled for attack, delaying the offensive that might actually inflict reputational harm on Russia with even a symbolic advance on any frontahead of May 9, the anniversary of the great WWII victory over Nazi Germany. (Symbolism will be their downfall)

“The Ukrainians are ready to attack. We are ready to repel the blow,” Prigozhin summarized. “No negotiations. Only an honorable battle. Andthe sooner it starts, the better.”

Founded as the businessman's side project, Wagner has been involved in heavy fighting in the Donbass, most recently in the storming of Soledar and the battles in and around Artyomovsk, called Bakhmut by the Ukrainians.

As of Friday,Wagner and other Russian troops hold most of Artyomovsk, with an estimated 6,000 battered Ukrainian troops attempting to retreat westward to Chasov Yar. Prigozhin has suggested that Ukrainian President VladimirZelensky had thrown his best troopsand foreign mercenaries into the battle for the Donbass town after receiving a personal challenge from Wagner in December,losing thousands in the “meat grinder”with nothing to show for it.

Putin signs new conscription law

Russia will start serving summons electronically, using a digital database of eligible citizens

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday signed into law the amended conscription and mobilization rules, establishing a unifieddigital database of citizenssubject to military service. The measure was fast-tracked through the legislature in Moscow in less than a week.

The Ministry of Digital Development was tasked with establishing the registry, which will be operated by the Ministry of Defense. The government will draw on its existing databases to populate the registry, including tax, election, medical, police and court records, and those drawn from employers and universities.

The register will help track the summons sent out to eligible conscripts not just by mail but now also electronically, using the “appropriate”platforms, such as the state services portal ‘Gosuslugi’. The summons will be considered served within seven days of being posted to the registry. From the moment the summons is issued, the recipient will not be allowed to leave Russia.

The new law alsointroduces penalties for failing to report. Those who do not respond to the summons within 20 days, without a valid exemption, will not be allowed to register a business, vehicle or real estate, or to obtain bank loans. Various regions and republics may also limit or discontinue the payment of benefits and other government support. Such decisions may be appealed in court, however.

The amendments were introduced by the State Duma’s defense committee on April 10, and the lower chamber voted to pass them the following day. The Russian Senate approved them by April 12. Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the fast-track procedure as being driven by national security priorities.

Russian law prescribesone year of mandatory military servicefor male citizens between the ages of 18 and 27. Two rounds of conscription are conducted each year, with the size of the call-up specified by a presidential decree. However, lawmakers recently introduced a separate amendment to move the age bracket up over several years, reaching 21 to 30 in 2026. The proposed change is meant to protect those in their late teens and early 20s from disruptions to their education.

Moscow has not declared a general mobilization due to the Ukraine conflict, preferring to conduct operations with professional troops and a cadre of some 300,000 reservists, called up in October 2022.

Last year’s call-up exposed some structural problems with the conscription infrastructure inherited from the Soviet Union, including loopholes and poorly maintained registries that resulted in summons being issued to citizens without prior military experience, or otherwise ineligible.

Kiev taps nationalist militant to govern Pechersk Lavra monastery

Ukrainian authorities have appointed a new caretaker director as the standoff over a major Orthodox monastery continues

The Ukrainian government has appointed a new caretaker director of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra museum compound, which houses the largest Orthodox monastery in the country. The new appointee,Maxim Ostapenko, is known for having strong ties with nationalist paramilitaries in post-Maidan Ukraine.

The new acting director was presented by the Ukrainian Culture Minister, Alexander Tkachenko, on Friday.

“Maxim Ostapenko is a specialist in the protection of historical and cultural monuments, museology, archeology, restoration work, he is a PhD in history sciences, the author of more than 30 scientific papers, since 2007 he has served as the general director of the Khortitsa National Reserve. And from the beginning of a full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Tkachenko said, in a Telegram post presenting the new caretaker director.

Ostapenko built his entire career around Khortitsa, working at the reserve since 1989. The reserve is located on a large namesake island on the Dnepr River and is considered to be the heart of Zaporozhye Sech – the common name of several quasi-state entities of the Dnepr Cossacks that existed between the 16th and 18th centuries. As an archeologist, Ostapenko specializes in the ancient history of the region.

What the minister failed to mention, however, were the activities Ostapenko has been engaged in since early 2014, when the Maidan coup in Kiev deposed Ukraine’s democratically-elected president, Viktor Yanukovich. Thereserve director became one of the creators and the deputy commander of the so-called ‘Khortitsa Regiment,’ one of the many far-right paramilitary entitiesthat sprouted across post-Maidan Ukraine.

The ‘regiment’ originally consisted of around 150 men and took only a limited part in the so-called ‘anti-terrorist operation’ launched by the post-Maidan authorities to squash the uprising in the then-Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Lugansk, which had rejected the coup. Instead, the unit focused its efforts on fighting a purported "separatist" threat in the Zaporozhye region, ultimately facing allegations of banditry, extortion and other crimes.

Despite the allegations, the unit continued to exist as a "patriotic" entity tutoring youth until the beginning of the ongoing conflict between Moscow and Kiev in February 2022. The unit then got incorporated into local territorial defense, yet apparently again largely shied away from the frontline.

Theunit emblem features a wolf in black and red colors, commonly associated with Second World War-era Ukrainian nationalist and Nazi collaborator units, hailed in the present-day country as national “heroes.” The Khortitsa Regiment members had repeatedly awardedthemselves with souvenir medals with the same choice of colors, praising themselves for their purported effort in fighting separatists. The ceremonies of the paramilitary unit had been staged right at the heart of the Khortitsa reserve – a wooden ‘Cossack fortress,’ erected there in the mid-2000s.

When people say share ownership is highly diversified, they think most large public corporations have lots of shareholders – and often the largest shareholder has less than 15%, sometimes less than 5%, of the total shareholdings.

But looking at it this way obscures the concentration that is taking place. The same organisations – usually finance capital, rarely families or individuals – own these public companies. We (David and Georgina) first researched this in 2009, and we’ve since found that the trend is of increasing concentration in several countries over three decades.

When one organisation alone controls more than 6% of shares in very large global corporations, and 30 control more than half of all shares in these corporations, that signifies very high concentration.

Our 2009 study found that various forms of financial capital controlled the great majority (68.4%) of shares in the world’s very large corporations. Individuals or families held only a minimal proportion (3.3%), and industrial companies held relatively little.

Banks were the most common specific type of individual or organisation that controlled the shareholdings in very large corporations.

Levels of concentration

Our study used a database of shareholdings in the 299 largest publicly-listed global corporations from the Bureau van Dijk global database of corporations, OSIRIS. This database combined information from around 100 sources and covers nearly 63,000 companies worldwide.

In some cases, the true ownership of shares is hidden by the use of “nominee” or “depository” organisations. These vary in significance and legal treatment between jurisdictions.

They include such entities as as Clearstream and Euroclear in Europe, the Depository Trust Corporation in the US, Hong Kong Securities Clearing Company Nominees in Hong Kong (which makes it to our list of the top-30 private shareholders), the Canadian Depository for Securities (which would be the second-largest shareholder in that country), and a variety of bank nominees in Australia – where nominee shareholdings are unusually important, accounting for half of significant Australian shareholdings in 2009-10.

The nominee normally is not exercising its own discretion in investment decisions. Rather, the – often-secret – beneficial owner of the shares exercises decision-making power and control.

This is quite different to the funds managers who dominate in our analysis and who mobilise money owned by other people and make investment decisions on their behalf. Broadly speaking, nominee holdings make little difference to the global picture presented here.

US-based very large corporations accounted for 29% of companies in our database. By region, Europe (mostly the UK, France and Germany) accounted for 37% of companies. This was greater than the share of the Americas (32%) and Asia (including Japan, Korea, China, the Middle East and Australia), at 30%.

The largest 30 shareholders (out of more than 2,100 share controllers) owned or controlled some 51.4% of the assets of the 299 companies. This is a significant concentration of resources and power – 1.5% of shareholders controlling 51% of shares.

These 30 shareholders were made up of 21 private-sector shareholders and nine public-sector (that is, government-owned) shareholders. Nine government agencies between them account for 17% of the assets of the 299 very large corporations.

Importantly, one company that is relatively unknown outside financial circles, BlackRock Inc, held or controlled 6.1% of the assets of the 299 companies (around US$3 trillion) in 2009. It is a US financial company, mostly a “fund manager”, with offices in 30 countries and about 8,400 employees.

Two protesters rushed to the stage interrupting Florida Governor Ron DeSantis during a speech at a GOP fundraiser in New Hampshire on Friday night.

“Jews against DeSantis,”the women yelled.

The Republican governor was initially viscerally startled as the women ran to the podium and held up a banner.

DeSantis played it cool as security guards pulled the protesters off the stage.

“Got to have a little spice in the speech, right?” the governor quipped while resuming his remarks. “You have to have a little fun.”

DeSantis wondered why people would pay $150 per ticket or $500 for a VIP ticket for entry to the event just to pull the stunt.

Incident comes less than a year after assassination of former PM Shinzo Abe

Japan's prime minister was forced to take cover on Saturday after a pipe-like object believed to be a smoke bomb was thrown at him during an outdoor speech.

Fumio Kishida was unharmed in the incident, which came after former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot dead on the campaign trail by a lone assailant with a homemade gun last year - an attack which stunned the nation.

Kishida's assailant was swiftly arrested.

The attack happened in the western city of Wakayama - only 60 miles from Nara, where Abe, 67, was assassinated on July 8, 2022.

A loud explosion was also heard, but the premier took cover and was unharmed while police subdued a man at the scene, public broadcaster NHK said.

Local news agency Kyodo news reported that a man had thrown 'what appeared to be a smoke bomb.'

Trump’s Ron DeSantis ‘Pudding Fingers’ Ad Is Disgustingly Good

Like many journalists, I have a bad habit of underestimating Donald Trump. I didn’t think he had a chance of winning in 2016. Even after he was in the White House, I didn’t expect him to nearly start a nuclear war on Twitter, stare directly into the sun during an eclipse, or start a feud with windmills.

And although I predicted that Ron DeSantis eating pudding with his fingers would end his 2024 presidential bid, I never imagined that Trump would highlight this idiotic allegation in a campaign ad.

Well, it’s real … and it’s spectacular.

Last month, the Daily Beast reported that during a private plane trip in 2019,“DeSantis enjoyed a chocolate pudding dessert — by eating it with three of his fingers,according to two sources familiar with the incident.”

It seemed obvious that the Trump campaign would try to sear this image into Americans’ minds; DeSantis desperately digging into a child’s-size snack cup and slurping chocolate goo off his hand really undercuts his posturing as a manly anti-woke champion. I imagined Trump would accomplish this via Truth Social taunts and a dumb new nickname (Puddin’ Paws has a nice ring). Then he’d reference DeSantis’s literally sticky fingers during a GOP primary debate and the audience would howl as the governor delivered some clunky, pre-written retort.

I underestimated Trump in two ways. First, I assumed there was no way to work “pudding fingers” into a substantive attack ad on DeSantis’s plans for senior entitlements. But his team did it with one elegant phrase: “Ron DeSantis loves sticking his fingers where they don’t belong.”

Second, I didn’t think Trump’s allies would pour significant resources into making “pudding fingers” a central part of his case against DeSantis, as it’s an anonymously sourced story about sloppy eating habits. But the Make America Great Again, Inc. PAC hired people to write a script, had an actor re-create DeSantis’s fateful airplane nosh, then aired this ad Friday morning during Fox & Friends.

Does Team Trump’s turning this idiotic story into an actual campaign ad represent a new low in American politics? Probably. Am I just pointing a pudding-coated finger at myself by admitting that I really liked it? I guess. But if we can’t escape this unhealthy political discourse, at least we’re still getting some enjoyable confections.

Weeks before 9/11, an angry New York FBI agent nearly “came over the table” at CIA officials who were blocking him from obtaining intelligence about two al Qaeda terrorists who would soon take part in hijacking an American Airlines passenger jet and crashing it into the Pentagon.

“Someone is going to die,” the counterterrorism agent wrote in a bitter email shortly after the 2001 encounter.

That astonishing account, and many others, are contained in a sworn declaration by Donald Canestraro, an investigator for the Office of Military Commissions, part of the Department of Defense’s Military Commissions Defense Organization. It is dated July 20, 2021.

Canestraro said in a brief interview with Florida Bulldog that he is part of the defense team for Guantanamo detainee Ammar al-Baluchi, a Pakistani citizen who is awaiting trial with four other men accused of planning the 9/11 attacks. His declaration includes the results of his interviews with 11 ex-FBI agents, 2 ex-CIA agents, a CNN investigative journalist, former deputy National Security Advisor Richard Clarke and former Sen. Bob Graham (D-FL), co-chair of Congress’s Joint Inquiry into 9/11.

The 22-page declaration, first obtained by the national security website Spytalk, is not confidential, but rather it’s marked CUI – Controlled Unclassified Information. The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency defines CUI as “government created or owned information that requires safeguarding or dissemination controls consistent with applicable laws, regulations and government wide policies.”

It is nevertheless remarkable for its accounts supporting the veracity of long public, yet highly disturbing allegations that top CIA officials, including Director George Tenet, intentionally withheld vital intelligence from the FBI that might have prevented the Sept. 11, 2001 al Qaeda attacks on New York and Washington. Specifically, that known operatives and future hijackers Nawaf al Hazmi and Khalid al Mihdhar had entered the U.S. in Los Angeles shortly after attending an al Qaeda summit meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in early January 2000.

The new accounts, mostly obtained during interviews in 2016 and 2018, flesh out that narrative. They also support the ominous theory, never fully explored by either the 9/11 Commission or Congress, that the CIA kept silent because it was secretly working hand in glove with its Saudi Arabian counterpart to recruit Hazmi and Mihdhar as informants.

In a bizarre episode for the Florida governor, as he prepares to announce his expected 2024 campaign for the White House, Ron DeSantis has chosen not to outright deny that he ate chocolate pudding with three fingers on a private flight in 2019.

The incident was reported by The Daily Beast, which noted that Mr DeSantis sometimes struggles to “read the room”.

“I don’t remember ever doing that,” the governor told Piers Morgan in an interview on Fox Nation.

“Maybe when I was a kid, but it’s interesting there’s a lot of people who when they go at you, sometimes they have really good ammunition like, ‘You’re a crook, you did this, you did that,’” he added. “For me, they’re talking about pudding, and I’m like, ‘Is that really the best you’ve got? OK, bring it on!’”

A composite of images captured about a week apart from mid August 2022 through late March 2023, this series traces the retrograde motion of ruddy-colored Mars. Progressing from lower right to upper left Mars makes a Z-shaped path as it wanders past the Pleiades and Hyades star clusters, through the constellation Taurus in planet Earth's night sky. Seen about every two years, Mars doesn't actually reverse the direction of its orbit to trace out the Z-shape though. Instead, the apparent backwards or retrograde motion with respect to the background stars is a reflection of the orbital motion of Earth itself. Retrograde motion can be seen each time Earth overtakes and laps planets orbiting farther from the Sun, the Earth moving more rapidly through its own relatively close-in orbit. High in northern hemisphere skies the Red Planet was opposite the Sun and at its closest and brightest on December 8, near the center of the frame. Seen close to Mars, a popular visitor to the inner Solar System, comet ZTF (C/2022 E3), was also captured on two dates, February 10 and February 16.

Maricopa County’s ‘Lackluster’ Investigation Dismissing the Printer Issues in the 2022 Election

Maricopa County officials tapped former Arizona Supreme Court Justice Ruth McGregor to investigate the printing problems in the 2022 election, and on Monday, the county released her report blaming the thickness of the ballot paper. Jennifer Wright, who was the Election Integrity Unit civil attorney for the Arizona Attorney General’s Office during the election and who performed her own investigation of Maricopa County’s election problems going back to the 2020 presidential election, told The Arizona Sun Times the report was “meaningless” since it did not include an analysis of the printer logs.

Wright tweeted on Monday, “The report proves printers failed, but doesn’t identify WHY some Oki printers experienced more problems than others. It seems to ‘exonerate’ MC without determining the ROOT cause of failure. It’s surface level stuff. It’s embarrassing. It would fail cross-examination.”

She further explained, “When a report simply confirms a problem exists but can’t explain why — it isn’t an investigative report, it’s an incident report. Would an insurance company end an investigation after determining the brakes failed? No! They’d find out why. Maintenance? Defect? Sabotage?”

Wright disagreed that the thickness of the paper was the problem. “Note the report confirms WILDLY different error rates on seemingly identical machines,” she tweeted. “If the root cause was simply paper thickness and ballot length, you’d expect substantially similar error rates. This report would not be enough to prove causation in a basic tort claim.”

She called it a “lackluster” investigation, stating, “Transcribing interviews is not an independent investigation,” and “You can’t find what you don’t look for.”

She also expressed concern that the report did not look into other aspects of the problem: on-site tabulator logs, system logs, and actual Election Day ballots in 2022.

U.S. Air Force Academy cadets reportedly don’t understand what the oath they take to uphold the Constitution even means. Apparently, the U.S. military is so busy implementing pro-LGBTQ initiatives and critical race theory programs that it forgot to teach cadets what their job is as American servicemen and women.

The Daily Caller reported on April 12:

The Air Force Academy rolled out a new program aimed at reducing perceptions of politicization in the military… Cadets at the academy said they did not understand what their oath to uphold the Constitution actually meant… Administrators and a cadet at the Air Force Academy think a new program focused on informing cadets what the oath to uphold the Constitution means for members of the military will help combat trends in politicization and partisanship among military officials.

It might be too little too late to restore Americans’ faith in a military headed by our senile commander-in-chief Joe Biden, Gen. Mark “Wreck-It Ralph” Milley, and the ever-incompetent Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. Daily Caller again:

The project aims to instill a “democracy ethos” in emerging Air Force officers as politicization and partisanship in the active duty force and among veterans has colored Americans’ view of the military.

Let’s hope the program’s concept of democracy isn’t similar to that of the anti-constitutional and very woke Democrats, who never stop blathering about “democracy.” And maybe the Academy could mention that America has always been a republic, not a democracy.

MRCTV’s Nick Kangadis noted that a graduating Air Force Academy senior said, “We took the oath of office on our first day at [the Academy], but no one explained it to us.” I bet “white rage” and systemic racism and sexism were explained, though.

Of course, a lack of understanding of the Constitution because of bad or insufficient education on the topic isn’t, unfortunately, limited to the Air Force Academy. Many if not most conservatives absolutely believe in unconstitutional programs like Medicare nowadays. The point is that, whether leftist or conservative, the overwhelming majority of Americans pick and choose which parts of the Constitution they believe in following — most without even knowing that’s what they’re doing.

America has the greatest Constitution in history, and a significant part of our problems in this nation today comes from the government not abiding by the Constitution. It’s high time for the Air Force Academy and schools and families around the nation to study and understand the document upon which our Republic is founded.

The Democrat Party has a serious RFK Jr. problem on its hands. The party is going to attempt to remedy its problem in very predictable ways by tapping into its notably short playbook.

The son of former senator Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of former president John F. Kennedy (both assassinated) recently polled at 10% in the Democrat primary — despite near-total blacklisting from corporate media and a nonstop smear campaign since the launch of his campaign.

Unable to engage on the substance of RFK’s arguments, the only viable option besides ignoring him — which they would much prefer — is to attack.

So out come the claws.

“Anti-vaccine activist RFK Jr. challenging Biden in 2024,” reads the Associated Press headline.

Literally every corporate media hit piece on RFK since his announcement has included the term “anti-vaxxer” in their analysis. Most include it in their headlines.

If you’ve read one corporate media smear piece, you’ve read them all. No one has ever accused the corporate media of over-imagination, save perhaps for its conspiracy-theorizing about Russian election interference.

Here’s how they generally all go, via Associated Press:

Democrat Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an anti-vaccine activist and scion of one of the country’s most famous political families, is running for president.

Kennedy filed a statement of candidacy Wednesday with the Federal Election Commission.

The 69-year-old’s campaign to challenge incumbent President Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination is a long shot.

Deep State-run Wikipedia features the smear in the first sentence of its biography: “Robert Francis Kennedy Jr. (born January 17, 1954) is an American environmental lawyer and author known for promoting anti-vaccine propaganda and conspiracy theories.”

“Nothing to see here. Look away! Disinformation!. He’s a crazy man, no one takes him seriously. Please don’t look. He’s very dangerous — to Democracy™, and The Science™, and all of Our Values™ actually.”

How intent the Deep State is on demonizing RFK Jr. only serves as further evidence in my mind that he is a real threat with sincerely-held convictions that he will act on if elected. He won’t be steamrolled by the lobbying and consulting classes.

The corporate media appears to not understand how weakened its position in the public discourse has become in recent years — such that, when it orchestrates attacks on populist figures like RFK Jr., they only serve to increase his popularity, not to decrease it.

I can’t trust a man who is endorsed by the likes of the New York Times and CNN, and my interest is automatically piqued by figures that they attack. It seems that this mode of analysis is embraced by many in the pro-freedom movement.

Argentina and the International Monetary Fund are going back to the drawing board again on the country’s $44 billion program as a record drought is expected to push the country into recession, according to an Economy Ministry official who asked not to be named to discuss upcoming changes. French state TV pulls report after (whiney) Ukrainian pressure (VIDEO)

Kiev has labeled a video of Russian troops in training by France 24 “a disgrace to journalism”

French state-owned news channel France 24 has removed a video report about Russian troops in training from its website, after it caused outrage among Ukrainian officials.

The clip, entitled “War in Ukraine: Russian forces preparing for battle ahead of counter-offensive,” was reportedly uploaded on france24.com on Thursday. But as of Saturday, it is no longer available, and clicking on the relevant link brings up the message “404 Page not found.”

The one-and-a-half-minute video was shot at a training range in an undisclosed location some 30 kilometers from the front line. It featured images of Russian tanks firing and tackling hurdles, as well as short interviews with the troops, who said that they were proud to protect their country and that they did not fear the expected Ukrainian counteroffensive.

One of the soldiers also praised Russian weaponry over the German-made Leopard 2 main battle tanks, which were recently supplied to Ukraine by the West. “Our tanks are easier to handle, they’re lighter and much of the time they are better than Leopard tanks,” he said.

The clip did not go unnoticed in Kiev, with Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Oleg Nikolenko calling the report about the Russian military “a disgrace to journalism.”

In a message on Twitter on Friday, he warned that visiting “occupied territories” without consent from Kiev was a crime under Ukrainian law, promising that “those who participate in such actions will be held accountable.”

Ukraine’s Ambassador to France, Vadym Omelchenko said on Twitter that the report by France 24 “from the perspective of the occupiers” turned out to be “a bad example of so-called neutral journalism.” He added that the video was removed from the news network’s website.

France 24 has not issued any statement on the situation, merely deleting the video from its website. However, the clip is still available on the channel’s page on the Dailymotion platform.

“Generations of Ukrainians” might be lost if swift changes aren’t made, US and Canadian instructors havereportedlyclaimed

A chaotic military command structure is leading to huge losses among Ukrainian troops and is causing serious doubts over the outcome of the conflict with Russia, Canada’s CTV National News has claimed, citing a report by former NATO soldiers.

The so-called ‘White Papers’ were compiled by two former high-ranking members of the US Special Forces and one former major in the Canadian Armed Forces. Each of the group has been training local forces in Ukraine for the last nine months, the broadcaster reported on Friday. (Who leaked these?)

According to CTV, the papers describe Ukraine’s military command structure as being in disarray, while it further claims that the country’s military communication system is crumbling. If changes to tactics are not introduced rapidly, “generations of Ukrainians”could be lost, the document warns.

One of the authors, a former Canadian army major who chose to remain anonymous, told CTV that it was “well documented” that the Ukrainian army had suffered “huge losses with their junior officers.”

Earlier this month, leaked Pentagon papers claimed that Ukrainian forces have so far suffered between 124,000 and 131,000 dead and wounded during the conflict. The figure, which was based on US estimates, is several times higher than Kiev’s official death toll.

The source argued to CTV that the authors of the ‘White Papers’ were not looking to criticize Ukraine, but were “only striving for the better outcome” for the country.

The lack of coordination between Ukrainian units is leading to “greater losses of life and equipment as well as failed operations,” the paper is said to have stated.

Another issue of concern for the former NATO servicemen is that “military aid, such as tanks, are used as mobile artillery and not in combined operations with infantry” by Kiev’s forces. As a result, “[Ukrainian] infantry will watch as the enemy maneuvers and stages in front of their defensive positions just outside of effective artillery range.”

According to the report, Ukraine’s training approach “is based on the legacy Soviet model” which puts the commander at the center, “with no delegation of authority in training, planning, and especially operations.”

The widespread lack of application of NATO standards leads to painfully slow decision-making on the battlefield, the document reportedly claims.

Russia has long described the conflict with Ukraine as a “proxy war” waged against it by NATO. According to Moscow, the assistance provided to Kiev by the US and its allies, including the supply of weapons, training for Ukrainian troops, and intelligence sharing, has de facto made Western nations parties to the conflict.

Google ordered to disclose data passed to US spies

The top court in South Korea questioned the supremacy of US laws over citizens' privacy

South Korea's Supreme Court has ordered Google to disclose any personal data it has collected on South Korean citizens andshared with third parties, including US intelligence agencies. The decision is binding, even as the case against the tech giant continues in a lower court.

Thursday’s ruling came after several South Korean plaintiffs sued Google and its local branch, Google Korea, seeking to force the company to reveal whether it had gathered or shared their data. They alleged that personal information waspassed to the US National Security Agency (NSA) through its ‘PRISM’ program, which collects a massive amount of data from the internet, including private communications, as well as from service providers directly.

While South Korean law mandates that internet service providers must respond to customer inquiries related to their own personal data and whether it has been shared with third parties, an appeals court previously ruled that Google had the right to reject such requests so long as the decision was in line with US law.

However, the Supreme Court partially overturned that ruling, finding that Google must disclose the relevant information upon request regardless of American law, though it nonetheless returned the case to a lower court to continue litigation.

“Comprehensive consideration should be given to whether the need to respect foreign laws is significantly superior to the need to protect personal information,” the court said in a statement.

The top court also ruled that even if personal data was transferred to a foreign intelligence service for legitimate reasons, companies still must disclose that fact after the person in question is no longer under investigation.

In a statement, Google Korea said it would review Thursday’s decision “carefully,” and claimed that user privacy was a priority for the company.

The PRISM program was first revealed to the public in 2013, after NSA contractor Edward Snowden leaked a massive trove of classified documents showing, among other things, the extent of domestic mass surveillance in the United States. According to the leaked material, PRISM was once “the number one source of raw intelligence used for NSA analytic reports” after it was launched in 2007 under President George W. Bush. The program has come under fire by privacy advocates for its sweeping scope, with Snowden deeming it “dangerous” and accusing the NSA of “nakedly, aggressively criminal acts.”

“He shouldn’t be campaigning right now,” Trump said of DeSantis. “He should be there.”

DeSantis has not formally announced a 2024 presidential campaign, but an outside group with which he is aligned and which he currently controls has begun running attack ads against Trump in the GOP presidential primary. DeSantis is widely expected to formally announce a campaign later this year, but for all intents and purposes given the fact he is hiring staff and running attack ads he is basically running against Trump unless and until he says otherwise.

Fort Lauderdale, one of Florida’s biggest cities, has experienced historic flooding the past several days. The immediate damage has been so bad that the Fort Lauderdale airport was forced to close for at least a day this week, and much of the damage remains severe.

Rather than going there to oversee the response, DeSantis continued with his events in other places across the country this week—while the Fort Lauderdale airport was closed. He appeared in Ohio, in Virginia, and in New Hampshire this week while the ravaged city has raced to respond to the crisis.

Donald Trump Jr., the former president’s eldest son, had already ripped DeSantis publicly for not coming back to Florida to deal with the issues in Fort Lauderdale. But Trump himself doing it is new, and represents a significant escalation in the brewing war between the former president and the governor of Florida.

But it’s not just Trump allies criticizing DeSantis’s lackluster Fort Lauderdale response.The mayor of Fort Lauderdale, a Democrat, also said DeSantis has not called him. And some state legislators from the area are also ripping DeSantis. State Sen. Shevrin Jones, another Democrat, called DeSantis not returning to Florida and calling off the events in other states “disgraceful.”

In response, DeSantis spokesman Bryan Griffin said that DeSantis has been engaged in the response even though he is not physically present in Florida.

“The governor left yesterday, and the unprecedented flooding intensified later in the night. He returns today,” Griffin said, per Politico. “Nonetheless, at the direction of Governor DeSantis, the state emergency response apparatus is in full swing responding to the flooding and the needs of the localities as they are communicated to us. This now includes issuing a state of emergency in Broward County,”

Trump also told Breitbart News during the exclusive interview backstage after his speech at the NRA’s annual meeting thathe is considering going down to Fort Lauderdale himself to tour the damage and visit first responders. He noted his home at his luxurious Mar-a-Lago seaside resort in Palm Beach, Florida, is very close to Fort Lauderdale—and that most of southeast Florida also got hit hard by the storms causing the flooding.

The FDA has determined that Safrole is a carcinogen. But the problem is, I don’t believe that studies have been done on humans to determine if safrole is indeed a human carcinogen. Instead, studies have been done on rodents to determine whether safrole is a carcinogen or not. But the problem with this approach is that the metabolism of rodents and other lab animals are going to be significantly different to the metabolism of humans. So where one substance is toxic in a lab animal, may actually be neutral or even beneficial to humans.

A good example is the theobromine that you find in chocolate. Although human being can consume chocolate just fine, dogs become dangerously poisoned if they consume chocolate. That’s because where humans can metabolize the theobromine found in chocolate, but dogs cannot properly metabolize theobromine.

Another good example is with caffeine. Although caffeine is a great functional stimulant for human beings, caffeine acts as a poison to insects.

So with this in mind, here’s an excerpt I have clipped from a forum on the topic of safrole carcinogenicity[1]:

As an herb rather than a food additive, sassafras itself was technically beyond the Delaney regulation.However, the FDA tried to pursue a tactic for regulation of the herb under the Delaney Amendment. The FDA declared that when making tea, the hot water was the food and the herb was the food additive; when providing capsules of herbs, the capsule was the food and the herb was the food additive. It was a weak argument that couldn’t stand on its own, but the FDA was able to convince the herb industry to voluntarily withdraw sassafras productsrather than fighta protracted legal battle and risk having all herbs declared food additives. Many years later, some herb companies had tried to reintroduce the herb, realizing that it was beyond the FDA to ban it or enforce a ban, but by then the demand for the herb was gone.

Supreme Court Associate JusticeClarence Thomas reportedly failed to disclose a 2014 real estate deal with GOP megadonor Harlan Crow.

The billionaire then began making improvements to the home, where Thomas's mother was living. Crow indicated he believed the property to be of historical value, given that the justice grew up there.

"My intention is to one day create a public museum at the Thomas home dedicated to telling the story of our nation’s second black Supreme Court Justice," he said in a statement. "I approached the Thomas family about my desire to maintain this historic site so future generations could learn about the inspiring life of one of our greatest Americans."

Thomas's mother continued to live in the home until at least 2020.

News of the undisclosed sales of the Georgia properties follows reports from ProPublica that Thomas and his wife frequently went on vacations with Crow at the billionaire's expense. Thomas has insisted he was not required to report the trips.

Researchers have found that masks were far from a harmless public health intervention during the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition to the psycho-social harm caused by daily mask-wearing, particularly to small children, there is new scientific research that lists a host of health issues that can arise from prolonged mask-wearing.

An international team of scientists publishing in the journal Frontiers in Public Health found that mask-wearing can cause significant health problems. The researchers published a meta-analysis of 2,168 studies on adverse medical mask effects — the largest of its kind. They found a statistically significant decline in oxygen intake, increase in carbon dioxide, increased heart rate, increase in shortness of breath, dizziness, and skin irritation. Mask-wearing was associated with a 62% increase in headaches.

“Of the 2,168 screened records, 54 studies were included for qualitative analysis and 37 for statistical meta-analysis,” the authors noted. “Among the 54 studies, 23 were intervention studies, and 31 were observational studies. The 23 intervention studies consisted of 14 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and nine non-randomized controlled trials (nRCTs). Of the 31 observational studies, 17 works raised measured values, and 14 were questionnaire studies.”

Clashes broke out on Saturday between Sudan’s army and paramilitaries, and the doctors’ union reported three civilian deaths, including at Khartoum’s airport in the city centre.

The Saudia statement did not mention any casualties in the incident involving its aircraft.

The paramilitaries said they were in control of the airport as well as the presidential place, claims denied by the army.

The eruption of violence came after weeks of deepening tensions between military leader Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and his number two, paramilitary commander Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, over the planned integration of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) into the regular army.

That was a key element of talks to finalise a deal that would return the country to civilian rule and end the crisis sparked by their 2021 coup, which triggered a deepening economic crisis in what was already one of the world’s poorest countries.

The Saudi embassy in Sudan “urges all Saudi citizens to remain at home”, the state-affiliated Al-Ekhbariya channel reported.

Both the Saudi foreign ministry and the six-member Gulf Cooperation Council, headquartered in Riyadh, issued statements of concern about Saturday’s violence.

Head of Russia's most prominent mercenary firm Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has issued an unexpected call for the Kremlin to declare an end of the war in order to consolidate territory already gained.

A Friday statement by Prigozhin released by his press service suggested it's time to declare 'victory' and to focus on fully establishing Russian control over the occupied territories of Ukraine.

"For the authorities [of the Russian Federation – ed.] and for society as a whole, it is necessary to put some kind of bold full stop in the ‘special military operation’," the Wagner chief said [emphasis ours].

The rare statement continued: "The ideal option is to announce the end of the special military operation, to inform everyone that Russia has achieved the results that it planned, and in a sense, we have really achieved them. We have ground a huge number of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and can report to ourselves that our task has been completed."

"Theoretically, Russia has already received this full stop by destroying a large part of the active male population of Ukraine, by intimidating another part of it that has fled to Europe."

Prigozhin went on: "Russia has cut off the Azov Sea and a large chunk of the Black Sea, seized a fat chunk of Ukraine's territory, and created a land corridor to Crimea," and stressed that Russia can "gain a firm foothold, cling to the territories that already exist".

But he noted that "If earlier Ukraine was part of former Russia, now it is an absolutely national-oriented state".

This comes as Wagner is spearheading the largely successful offensive to capture Bakhmut and surrounding areas of Donetsk region. At least 80% of the largely destroyed city is currently in Russian hands.

The upstate New York outlet reported, "Burke called his teenage son’s sexual partners 'hot,' Golias said. Golias said she told Burke that the people were minors. According to Golias’ complaint, Burke, using a profane term, told his staff that if the partner had large breasts and 'a size zero waist,' 'she's hot.'"

Matthew T.H. Dearing, the assemblyman's former director of community relations, claimed that he felt "very taken aback" by Burke’s "comments about the girl’s physique."

"He said the girls in the videos were ‘hot and it didn’t matter that they were under aged [sic]," the New York Post reported of the complaint.

Golias and Dearing accused Burke of commenting on the genitalia of a man Golias was dating.

Burke has refuted the accusations against him. He said that he "absolutely" did not comment on the bodies of men and women.

Golias claims that Burke brought psychedelic mushrooms into the office.

The complaint reads, "This behavior included comments about himself as a 'colonizer' because he had control and dominion over his wife because he is Caucasian and his wife is Puerto Rican."

Golias and Dearing alleged that Burke "would do anything he could to appear cool and attractive."

Burke has denied the accusations. He called the accusations "absurd" and "a lie."

Burke lashed out after the complaint, "Ms. Golias' behavior was egregious during her brief tenure in my office, and it is an outrage that she would accuse me of the very behavior she not only participated in, but fostered. She has twisted the truth and outright lied in the past, and she is doing it again for monetary gain."

Golias is seeking unspecified damages for lost wages and emotional distress in her sexual harassment complaint.

Golias was one of three staffers to be fired last year after controversy surrounding the Tops mass shooting in Buffalo.

The “Universal Monetary Unit” , also known as “Unicoin” , is an “international central bank digital currency” that has been designed to work in conjunction with all existing national currencies. This should set off alarm bells for all of us, because the widespread adoption of a new “global currency” would be a giant step forward for the globalist agenda. The IMF did not create this new currency, but it was unveiled at a major IMF gathering earlier this week…

Today, at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Spring Meetings 2023, the Digital Currency Monetary Authority (DCMA) announced their official launch of an international central bank digital currency (CBDC) that strengthens the monetary sovereignty of participating central banks and complies with the recent crypto assets policy recommendations proposed by the IMF.

Universal Monetary Unit (UMU), symbolized as ANSI Character, Ü, is legally a money commodity, can transact in any legal tender settlement currency, and functions like a CBDC to enforce banking regulations and to protect the financial integrity of the international banking system.

As the press release quoted above indicates, this new “Universal Monetary Unit” was created by the Digital Currency Monetary Authority.

So who in the world is the Digital Currency Monetary Authority?

Honestly, I had no idea until I started doing research for this article.

The press release says that the organization consists of “sovereign states, central banks, commercial and retail banks, and other financial institutions”…

The DCMA is a world leader in the advocacy of digital currency and monetary policy innovations for governments and central banks. Membership within the DCMA consists of sovereign states, central banks, commercial and retail banks, and other financial institutions.

Basically, it sounds like a secretive cabal of international banks and national governments is conspiring to push this new currency down our throats.

Kash Patel Questions Emerging Narrative on Pentagon Leaks: ‘This Is an Extensive Cover-Up’

Kash Patel, former chief of staff at the Pentagon and former deputy director of National Intelligence, in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News on Friday, questioned the evolving narrative over the Pentagon leaks — specifically that a 21-year-old Massachusetts Air National Guard reservist acted alone to leak top secret military data.

Patel, a former federal prosecutor, said he does not believe “for a single second, this guy — a 21-year-old Air National Guardsman — ran this operation alone.”

Patel said, first, the suspected leaker, Jack Teixeira, would not have had access to the information without someone within the Department of Defense (DOD) or the intelligence community giving it to him, providing it to him, or telling him it should be put out there. “It’s just not possible,” he said.

He said even though he worked in information technology (IT), he still would not have had access to the information.

“You can be the biggest IT person in DOD, and you are still compartmented off of the actual information. Almost never does an IT person need to know, as we say, the substance of the intelligence. Their job is to provide the secure informations systems around it to protect any disclosures,” he said.

“This is crazy sensitive stuff,” he said. “Ninety-nine percent of people who have a Top Secret/SCI clearance don’t have access to this information. And me, as the former deputy DNI and chief of staff of the DOD and publisher of the [Presidential Daily Brief], with the highest security classification, knows that, literally, there is not a lot of people in the U.S. that have access to this kind of intel. It’s done for a reason. So this doesn’t happen.”

Patel said while the Joint Chief of Staff’s daily brief produced by its Directorate of Intelligence (J2) goes out to thousands of people, there is underlying contributing information that is compartmented and goes to fewer people. “The underlying intel — that’s very sensitive because it exposes how we got it, who we got it from, when we got it, and whether we can get it again, how is that delivered,” he said.

The Air Force confirmed to Breitbart News that Teixeira is Airman First Class, which is the third lowest enlisted rank in the Air Force and is a “cyber transport systems journeyman,” which is essentially an IT technician. He entered the Air National Guard in September 26, 2019. He is based at the Otis Air National Guard Base in Massachusetts.

Second, Patel said the way the classified information was put out suggests Teixeira did not act alone.

“Whether he’s in IT or not, is irrelevant. The way it was produced, the way it was put out there — pages, printed photographs taken, published online — that is a methodical way of releasing classified information illegally,” he said.

“I think he’s definitely working with other people in DOD or the intel space to get this information out. This is an Assange-style operation. This kid — no offense to him — at 21 years old, cannot put out this five-months, unlawful disclosure of sensitive intelligence,” he said.
