The wife of the First Minister of Wales Mark Drakeford has died suddenly, the locally devolved government in Wales announced on Saturday.

Reacting to the death of Clare Drakeford, the wife of Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford, his counterpart in Scotland, the Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said according to the BBC: “My thoughts are with Mark and his family at this terribly sad time”.

Sturgeon, the leader of the leftist-separatist Scottish National Party (SNP) added that when she met Mrs Drakeford it was “obvious how strong the bond between her and Mark was”.

“I can only imagine the depth of grief he is feeling. Sending him love and strength,” Sturgeon said.

The leader of the opposition Conservative Party in the local Welsh Parliament (Senedd), Andrew RT Davies said that he was “shocked and deeply saddened” when he heard of her passing.

“My thoughts and prayers are with Mark Drakeford and his family at this exceptionally difficult time,” Davies said, adding: “On the occasions I met Clare, she was always a lovely lady and was very warm and kind.”

Clare Drakeford, the longtime wife of Mark Drakeford, who has served as the leader of the left-wing Welsh Labour Party and the First Minister of Wales since 2018, has died suddenly. The couple had been married since 1977 and had three children together.

Announcing her passing, a spokesman for the locally devolved Welsh government, which serves roughly a similar role in the UK to a state government in the United States, said on Saturday: “It is with deep sadness that we confirm the sudden passing of Clare Drakeford, wife of the First Minister.

“The thoughts of everyone in the Welsh Government are with the family at this time and we ask that their privacy is respected.”

Former NATO General Petr Pavel Wins Czech Presidential Election over Populist Billionaire Babis

Retired army General Petr Pavel defeated populist billionaire Andrej Babis in a runoff vote on Saturday to become the new Czech president.

Pavel, 61, will succeed controversy-courting Milos Zeman in the largely ceremonial but prestigious post.

“My presidency will succeed only when we all succeed together,” Pavel told a cheering crowd of his supporters.

With the ballots from 97% of almost 15,000 polling stations counted by the Czech Statistics Office, Pavel had 57.8% of the vote compared with 42.2% for Babis.

Pavel is a former chairman of NATO’s military committee, the alliance’s highest military body.

He fully endorsed the country’s military and humanitarian support for Ukraine in its fight against Russia and sees the Czech Republic’s future linked to membership in the European Union and NATO.

It’s the second major defeat for Babis 68, who is a former prime minister. His centrist ANO (YES) movement ended up in opposition after losing the 2021 general election.

Babis had been supported by Zeman, with whom he shares euroskeptic views and the habit of using anti-migrant rhetoric, the former prime minister after his centrist ANO (YES) movement.

Pavel and Babis took part in the second round of voting because none of the eight initial candidates received an absolute majority in the first round two weeks ago.

Zeman was the first president elected by popular vote. His second and final five-year term expires in March. Lawmakers elected the previous two presidents, Vaclav Havel and Vaclav Klaus.

Ukraine’s Armed Forces have intentionally hit the hospital in Novoaidar in the Lugansk People’s Republic, using a US-made HIMARS rocket launchers, as a result, 14 people were killed and 24 more wounded, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday.

"At about 7:30 a.m. on January 28, the Ukrainian armed forces conducted a deliberate strike, using rockets of a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket system, on the building of the district hospital in the urban settlement of Novoaidar in the Lugansk People’s Republic," the ministry said.

"The impact of the rockets with high-explosive fragmentation warheads has resulted in killing 14 and injuring 24 patients and medical employees of the hospital," the defense ministry said.

The Russian Defense Ministry pointed out that civilian and military health professionals had been providing medical treatment to local civilians and service members at the Novoaidar hospital for many months.

All those wounded in the Ukrainian rocket strike on the district hospital in Novoaidar are receiving medical treatment, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"All the victims are being provided with professional medical aid," the statement said. "The intentional missile strike, launched at the obviously known operating civilian healthcare facility, is an undoubted heinous war crime of the Kiev regime."

The ministry assured that everyone involved in planning and implementing that crime would be found and brought to justice.

Is helping Ukraine reducing US preparedness, security?

Questions are mounting as to how long the United States can continue to supply Ukraine from its own weapons stockpiles without hindering its own security.

With more than $27 billion in weapons committed to Kyiv since the start of Russia’s Feb. 24, 2022, attack on the country, Washington shows no sign of slowing down on shipping munitions and other lethal aid overseas.

But experts question what that might mean for U.S. military readiness should another conflict arise with China in the near future, with a U.S. defense industry that is far behind where it needs to be to account for a major war.

That concern is merited, according to a new report by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, which found that the U.S. defense-industrial base is ill-prepared for Washington to enter a fight with Beijing over Taiwan’s independence, in addition to aiding Kyiv.

Among the most alarming points in the report was the estimate that the U.S. military would run out of critical long-range, precision-guided munitions within a week should China start a fight in the Taiwan Strait.

The war in Ukraine has “exposed serious deficiencies in the U.S. defense industrial base,” according to Seth Jones, the report’s author.

“Given the lead time for industrial production, it would likely be too late for the defense industry to ramp up production if a war were to occur without major changes,” he said.

The estimate as to how long the U.S. can continue to pull from its own weapons stocks and how fast defense firms can refill them has been a topic of discussion since shortly after the war began.

Since nearly a year ago, Washington has pledged to send Ukraine everything from helmets to high-tech systems, including a Patriot air defense battery, Bradley fighting vehicles, various types of missiles and now M1 Abrams tanks. The military aid, along with that of other Western allies, has been credited with helping the Ukrainian troops beat back Russian forces in the largest land war in Europe since World War II.

But the war, which currently has no end in sight, has exposed weaknesses within the U.S. defense industry.

With the U.S. withdrawal of the Afghanistan War in August 2021, the nation found itself not directly involved in a conflict for the first time in 20 years. The end of that American chapter meant a drop in the U.S. of manufactured material needed to produce weapons and ammunition for a war.

Further hampering the weapons supply chain were production delays and worker shortages due to the COVID-19 pandemic, defense firms claimed.

13 men allegedly preying on kids on Oahu arrested

Thirteen men, between the ages of 22 and 61, were arrested on Oahu over the weekend as part of the ongoing Operation Keiki Shield effort, through which a federal, state and county law enforcement task force aims to track down adults who prey on children.

During a news conference Wednesday at the Honolulu Police Department’s headquarters, Chief Arthur “Joe ” Logan said nine of the men arrested were charged at the state level with commercial sexual exploitation of a minor or electronic enticement of a child in the first degree. Both are Class B felonies punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Each of the other four men, three active-duty Army members and one Marine, faces a charge of attempted sexual abuse of a child under article 80 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Punishment for the crime varies according to the circumstances, but is similar to the state penalties, officials said.

Logan said all of the suspects have local addresses and were either arrested by HPD or the military. “This week’s arrests confirm what we in law enforcement know too well, ” he said. “That there are many individuals who will seek out and prey on the most vulnerable in our community, our keiki.”

Justin Joshua Serrano Eugenio, Kristian Goodwin, Jefferson Manuales Ibalio, Darryl K.F. Fong, Benedict Gomez, Jose De Jesus Castillo and Gregory Dane Oniate were all arrested and charged with commercial sexual exploitation of a minor after they each allegedly offered an undercover law enforcement officer either $150, $200, or $250 in exchange for sex acts, according to state court records. Bail for the men ranges between $15, 000 and $25, 000.

Charles S. Tothina and Arjay Aranda Baniaga, aka “R.J., ” were arrested and charged with electronic enticement of a child in the first degree. Both men had bail set at $15, 000.

U.S. Army soldiers Shelton Keith, Jeff Harmon and Devin Eddy were arrested by Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division agents and charged with attempted sexual abuse of a child, under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. A U.S. Marine was arrested by agents of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service but his name is pending release by the U.S. Department of the Navy.

Hawaii’s Internet Crime Against Children Task Force is part of a national network of 61 coordinated task forces, representing over 5, 400 federal, state and local law enforcement officers “dedicated to investigating, prosecuting and developing effective responses to internet crimes against children, ” according to the national ICAC website.

A Big New Zealand Study Reveals High Rates of Kidney Injury After the Pfizer Jab

1,800 more cases than expected followed the shots, one for every 2,200 completed vaccinations; the finding is more evidence that the jabs may cause cardiovascular damage.

Drawing on a national database of over four million people, researchers in New Zealand have found a strong association between Pfizer’s mRNA Covid shot and kidney injuries.

In the three weeks after a mRNA jab, the risk of acute kidney injury rose 60 percent, the researchers found. They reported almost 1,800 extra cases – the equivalent of over 100,000 extra cases of kidney injury in the United States.

The finding was posted as a “preprint” in The Lancet’s database on Friday, Jan. 20. It is the third signal from a large government-managed database linking the Pfizer’s mRNA shots to serious side effects in only the last six weeks.

After the conclusion of Desert Storm, the UN demanded that Iraq destroy its stocks of weapons of mass destruction, as well as their production programs, and provide proof that it had done so to its inspectors. Though Baghdad accepted these resolutions, it did not fulfill all of their requirements in practice. In 1998, Saddam Hussein completely closed inspectors’ access to the country, accusing them of ‘espionage’.

However, in 2002, under pressure from the UN and Western countries, the President of Iraq unexpectedly agreed to an inspection. The report from the head of the IAEA, Mohammed ElBaradei, concluded that no signs of prohibited activities or any evidence of Baghdad’s resumption of a nuclear weapons program had been found during inspections at Iraqi facilities. The head of the commission, Hans Blix, expressed less confidence in this findings, but could provide no proof to contradict it. In fact, the only infraction was noted in a document on the Iraqi Air Force, which stated that Iraq had failed to destroy about 6,000 chemical rockets.

The conclusions of international inspections did not matter much to the United States, led by President George W. Bush.

The US Operates According to Its Own Agenda

The first alarm bell sounded for Iraq in the state of the union address to Congress on January 28, 2002, when the American president branded it as part of an “axis of evil,” along with Iran and North Korea. However, at that time, the American leader devoted only one paragraph to Iraq.

“Iraq continues to flaunt its hostility toward America and to support terror. The Iraqi regime has plotted to develop anthrax, and nerve gas, and nuclear weapons for over a decade. This is a regime that has already used poison gas to murder thousands of its own citizens – leaving the bodies of mothers huddled over their dead children. This is a regime that agreed to international inspections – then kicked out the inspectors,” Bush said.

In October of 2002, Congress gave the president the green light to use armed forces in Iraq. Here, in addition to arguments concerning biological weapons, accounts of the Iraqi regime’s crackdowns came in very handy. Allegations that Hussein allegedly maintained close ties with Al-Qaeda also came into play, though the latest data from US authorities found no proof of this.

As Malek Dudakov noted in a conversation with RT, by that time, the American establishment viewed Saddam Hussein and the Iraqi government as an absolute evil. The Iraqi leader was repeatedly compared to Hitler, and there were multiple leaks to the press alleging that he had weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear weapons.

“The presidential administration actively promoted all these fears, trying to maintain Bush’s approval ratings, as well as the patriotic fervor that had been prevalent since September 11. After those terrorist attacks, America needed some obvious opponent, as the concept of “international terrorism” seemed somehow abstract and incomprehensible. Plus, the early successes in the Afghan operation may have gone to the White House’s head. It seemed to them that they could quickly and bloodlessly carry out the Iraqi campaign, overthrow Hussein, and reformat the Middle East for themselves. This would weaken Iran’s position, while simultaneously giving them control over oil reserves that were of no small importance to the United States. Taken together, all these reasons compelled Washington to get involved in this adventure,” Dudakov says.

The aforementioned Dick Cheney, who served as vice president in the administration of President G.W. Bush, is believed to have been one of the main shadow architects of the war in Iraq. In between working in government positions, he had served as Chief Executive Officer of the Halliburton oilfield services company, which later received the first contract for restoring and developing oil fields in occupied Iraq.

He’s Got Something to Hide

In January 2003, the US President made it clear in an address to Congress that he was going to use the power it had granted to him to invade:

“We will consult, but let there be no misunderstanding: If Saddam Hussein does not fully disarm for the safety of our people, and for the peace of the world, we will lead a coalition to disarm him.”

The White House probably still expected to receive UN approval at that time, since one of its arguments was that Hussein had demonstrated “utter contempt for the United Nations and for the opinion of the world,” and therefore must answer for that.

Bush claimed that Saddam Hussein was engaged in developing chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons, even as international inspectors were working in his country. Allusions to the UN were spun to fit the American administration’s agenda – the emphasis was put on the doubts that Blix had voiced, and, in essence, Hussein was already presumed guilty. “He has given no evidence that he has destroyed it [weapons of mass destruction],” Bush said several times.

The president cited US intelligence data, according to which Saddam Hussein had up to 30,000 munitions capable of using chemical reagents. Shortly before that, experts had only discovered 16, and Bush claimed, Iraq “has not accounted for the remaining 29,984 of these prohibited munitions.”

In making his accusations, the American leader also referred to the British government, according to which Iraq was searching for uranium in Africa, as well as three Iraqi defectors who alleged that the government had several mobile biological weapons in the late 1990s.

Saddam Hussein has not credibly explained these activities. He clearly has much to hide.”

Bush also referred to UN Security Council Resolution 1441 of 2002, which he said had provided Iraq with “the last opportunity to fulfill its disarmament obligations.” Though this document specified no automatic consequences for its non-fulfillment, the White House nevertheless had high hopes for the UN Security Council meeting that Bush announced, at which Secretary of State Colin Powell was set to speak. Subsequently, it was learned that, five days earlier, Bush had held a meeting with British Prime Minister Tony Blair, where he said that the US was ready to “twist the UN’s arm” to get a resolution approved to launch an invasion.

Powell’s Test Tube

At a special meeting of the UN Security Council on February 5, Secretary of State Powell spent an hour and a half presenting “irrefutable evidence” of the presence of weapons of mass destruction in Baghdad. This included satellite images, as well as information from radio intercepts and interrogations of Iraqi defectors. However, the main thing Powell focused on was not the current situation, but namely Hussein’s bad reputation.

The US Secretary of State pointed out that Iraq had acknowledged that it had biological weapons only four years after the United Nations Special Commission (UNSCOM) had begun to carry out inspections. And, according to Powell, the 8,500 liters of anthrax that Baghdad had admitted to possessing in 1995 was a gross underestimate.

To hammer home the danger posed by Hussein’s regime, Powell showed his colleagues a test tube containing a white powder. While he didn’t claim that this substance was dangerous, he said that he wanted to show the quantity of anthrax spores mailed to two senators in 2001, which had been enough to shut down Congress.

“The Iraqis have never accounted for all of the biological weapons they admitted they had, and we know they had… In fact, they can produce enough dry biological agent in a single month to kill thousands upon thousands of people. And dry agent of this type is the most lethal form for human beings,” the head of the State Department stated, trying his best to scare all those present.

As it turned out after the invasion, the CIA’s intelligence on the presence of mobile manufacturing labs for biological weapons in pre-war Iraq was false. After this was made public, Powell said several times that he regretted that speech, but did not feel guilty.

I didn’t lie. I didn’t know it was not true.”

“I was secretary of state, not the director of intelligence,” he explained in an interview in 2005, a few months after he was asked to leave the administration of George W. Bush.

Yuri Rogulev, director of the Franklin Roosevelt Foundation for the Study of the USA at Moscow State University, noted in a comment to RT that the false assurances given by Americans regarding the state of affairs in Iraq was far from the first such case in history.

I wouldn’t consider this speech a milestone moment. For example, there was the invented second incident in the Gulf of Tonkin, after which the Vietnam War began, and the United States has invaded Panama, Grenada, and other countries under various pretexts. The only thing that was unique in the run up to the invasion of Iraq was the accusations about weapons of mass destruction. The fact that the US made a unilateral decision on Iraq was hugely significant for the world order in many respects. Although Congress gave its permission, there was strong opposition even inside the United States. The UN had not granted the US permission to invade Iraq. Even America’s closest NATO allies, Germany and France, opposed. But the United States took this step anyway, openly demonstrating that they were ready to do as they saw fit, regardless of other opinions,” Rogulev concluded.

Last Attempt

On the eve of the UN Security Council meeting on March 10, it became clear that the majority of its members still opposed any resolution leading to war. But this could not stop Washington. Russia nevertheless made one last desperate attempt to prevent the war.

On March 18, 2003, State Duma deputy and former Prime Minister Yevgeny Primakov urgently flew to Baghdad by order of President Vladimir Putin. He offered Hussein the opportunity to voluntarily resign from the post of president, explaining that, otherwise, a catastrophe was inevitable.

“I told him [Hussein] the following: ‘If you love your country and your people, if you want to protect your people from becoming inevitable victims, you must resign as president of Iraq,’”Primakov told journalists. In response, the Iraqi leader said that he’d also been persuaded to resign during the first Gulf War, but the war turned out to be inevitable anyway. “After that, he patted me on the shoulder and left,” Primakov said. Russia’s representative also stressed that Iraq “needs to do everything to facilitate the work of international inspectors.” According to Primakov, after this conversation, Iraq really began to destroy the banned missiles that it had previously refused to eliminate.

But on March 20, without the sanction of the UN Security Council, the Americans began, as Bush put it, “a military operation to disarm Iraq, liberate the Iraqi people, and protect the whole world from serious danger.” The operation began with air strikes on Baghdad. The fate of the country was sealed: the Iraqi army was defeated in three weeks, Hussein was overthrown, but there were no real winners.

Massive Fire Mysteriously Occurs At Egg Farm In Connecticut

This won’t help the egg shortage.

Several fire crews were called to a massive fire that occurred at an egg farm in Bozrah, Connecticut on Saturday afternoon.

The fire occurred at Hillandale Farms located on Schwartz Road.

At the time of this writing fire crews from Colchester, Salem, Lebanon, and several other towns are all responding to the scene to put out the blaze.

The Colchester Fire Department told the press the large scale fire has even caused water issues and more water tankers are being called to the scene.

As of now it’s not clear if anyone was hurt or trapped inside the chicken coop where the blaze started

Being Anon is tough. Knowing all we know and having to endure the slowest awakening of the masses ever is brutal. NASA Selects Nine Technologies for Commercial Flight Tests

NASA has selected nine space technologies for flight testing to advance innovations that address mission needs for both the agency and the commercial space industry.

Selected as part of the NASA’s 2022 TechFlights solicitation, these technologies will fly aboard commercial suborbital vehicles such as high-altitude balloons, aircraft following parabolic flight profiles, suborbital rocket-powered systems as well as commercial payload-hosting platforms in orbit, such as spacecraft. By readying these technologies in an environment similar to what they will experience in space, NASA, industry, and universities can help reduce the potential cost and risk before deploying the technologies on longer, more expensive missions in Earth orbit or to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

“This $6.1 million investment in technology testing will help mature technologies for agency goals, from space exploration to scientific discovery,” said Walt Engelund, deputy associate administrator for programs in NASA’s Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) at NASA Headquarters in Washington. “And in doing so, we’re also providing significant support to help the commercial space industry thrive.”

The technologies were selected by STMD’s Flight Opportunities program, which rapidly demonstrates technologies for space exploration, discovery, and the expansion of space commerce. For the first time, the 2022 TechFlights solicitation included access to test opportunities hosted on commercial platforms and spacecraft in orbit in collaboration with the agency’s Small Spacecraft Technology program.

“Flight Opportunities is excited to support these efforts to solve some of the most important challenges facing space exploration and Earth observation,” said Danielle McCulloch, acting program manager for Flight Opportunities at NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center in Edwards, California. “In working with the Small Spacecraft Technology program this year to offer opportunities for payloads hosted aboard commercial orbital platforms we can expand our reach to advance even more technologies from a variety of institutions and technical disciplines.”

The organizations developing the selected technologies will receive a grant or cooperative agreement allowing them to purchase flights from a U.S. commercial flight vendor that best meets their needs. As in previous years, the 2022 solicitation included options for researchers to fly automated technology experiments unattended or to have one or more researchers fly alongside their technology payload on parabolic flights or suborbital rockets.

The solicitation included three topic areas that reflect NASA priorities to further space exploration and scientific discovery goals. These topics focus on supporting infrastructure and capabilities for a robust lunar economy, services and infrastructure ranging from low-Earth orbit to geosynchronous Earth orbit, and Earth observation architectures, as well as systems to monitor and address climate change.

NASA’s Juno Team Assessing Camera After 48th Flyby of Jupiter

The JunoCam imager aboard NASA’s Juno spacecraft did not acquire all planned images during the orbiter’s most recent flyby of Jupiter on Jan. 22. Data received from the spacecraft indicates that the camera experienced an issue similar to one that occurred on its previous close pass of the gas giant last month, when the team saw an anomalous temperature rise after the camera was powered on in preparation for the flyby.

However, on this new occasion the issue persisted for a longer period of time (23 hours compared to 36 minutes during the December close pass), leaving the first 214 JunoCam images planned for the flyby unusable. As with the previous occurrence, once the anomaly that caused the temperature rise cleared, the camera returned to normal operation and the remaining 44 images were of good quality and usable.

The mission team is evaluating JunoCam engineering data acquired during the two recent flybys – the 47th and 48th of the mission – and is investigating the root cause of the anomaly and mitigation strategies. JunoCam will remain powered on for the time being and the camera continues to operate in its nominal state.

JunoCam is a color, visible-light camera designed to capture pictures of Jupiter’s cloud tops. It was included on the spacecraft specifically for purposes of public engagement but has proven to be important for science investigations also. The camera was originally designed to operate in Jupiter’s high-energy particle environment for at least seven orbits but has survived far longer.

The spacecraft will make its 49th pass of Jupiter on March 1.

While claiming the group’s purpose is “humanitarian,” Andrew Milburn told RT that killing is a part of the mission

Despite its professed humanitarian mission in Ukraine, the Mozart Group is a private military company training Ukrainian soldiers to kill Russians, its founder and CEO told RT’s Afshin Rattansi on Saturday’s episode of ‘Going Underground.’

Founded by US citizens Andrew Milburn and Andrew Bain last March, theMozart Group has been described as the Western answer to the Wagner Group– the Russian private military company currently fighting Kiev's forces for control of the key Donbass city of Artyomovsk (known as Bakhmut in Ukraine).

Speaking to Rattansi, Milburn was keen to dispel any comparison between Mozart and Wagner. He told the RT host that his group’s mission is “purely humanitarian,” and that Mozart’s members primarily work to supply and evacuate civilians living near the front lines.

However, the group’s other mission is the training of Ukrainian soldiers, which often takes place “very close to the front line,”Milburn, a former US Marine Corps commander, said.

“Sadly in this war – in any war actually – the more of the adversary you take off the playing field, or kill, the less the danger is to your own guys,” he said. “Why do we train guys? It isn’t simply to defend themselves, it’s to kill the enemy.”

“Everything we’re doing is exactly within the parameters of NATO policy,” he continued. “The West is providing Ukraine with lethal weapons that kill Russians. Why are they doing that? It’s to kill Russians.”

“When we train soldiers that is their goal. It’s why we teach them how to operate their weapons.”

While Mozart survives on private donations, Milburn has previously called for “funding from Western governments,” asking Newsweek last month, “What the hell is stopping the US, or UK, or European Union governments from reaching out and saying 'Let us help you?'"

Milburn is currently embroiled in a legal dispute with Bain, who accused the retired commander of violating US arms trafficking regulations and seeking to expand Mozart’s training operations into Armenia. The suit also accused Milburn of embezzling money donated to the organization, orchestrating the burglary of humanitarian supplies in Ukraine, sexually harassing a female co-worker, and bribing Ukrainian military leaders.

Milburn in turn accused Bain of seeking money from the Mozart Group, and claimed that Bain is “heavily invested in Russia,” which he denies.

Days before yesterday’s Twitter Files report about Hamilton 68, I wrote the public relations officers of both of the sites’ parent organizations, the Alliance for Securing Democracy (ASD) and the German Marshall Fund (GMF). I told them I was in possession of the Hamilton 68 list, which purported to track “Russian influence activities.” I said I had a slew of internal Twitter documents that among other things identified their project as “bullshit.” Toward the end I added:

Given the sheer quantity of news stories sourced to Hamilton 68, this has to go down as one of the great media frauds of all time. Unless you have an explanation for how and why hundreds of non-Russians like Dennis Michael Lynch, Patrick Hennigsen, Joe Lauria, and [I inserted the name of a San Diego school board member] came to be on this list, there’s no other conclusion.

I hope you will treat this matter with respect and answer this query. My story is going to identify not just people like Clint Watts but members of the ASD advisory board as party to this.

The story eventually published, “Move Over, Jayson Blair: Meet Hamilton 68, The New King of Media Fraud,” was based on email assessments of Twitter executives like Yoel Roth and Nick Pickles, the forensic analysis Roth had done in 2017 and which was excerpted yesterday, and interviews with people on the list. These elements — especially the interviews — made for a pretty ironclad case that the much-ballyhooed Hamilton 68 “dashboard” was a sham, that took real opinions of real people and falsely declared them part of a “network” of “Russian influence activities.”

On the remote chance Hamilton 68 had inside information legitimizing the linking of Dennis Michael Lynch, David Horowitz, and @TrumpDyke to “Russian influence activities,” I not only reached out to Hamilton’s creators, but when they were quiet, threw a tantrum on Twitter, tagging every member of the ASD advisory board in an effort to hear from them pre-publication. I genuinely wanted to hear an innocent explanation if they had one. They still said nothing. Only after the story blew up online yesterday did they put out an explanation.

“FACT SHEET: Hamilton 68 Dashboard (2017-2018)” is embarrassing. I’ve been told by several people since yesterday that Clint Watts is a sweet guy and a devoted family man. But the response he put out starts dissembling in the lead paragraph:

By analyzing a dynamic list of more than 600 Twitter accounts linked, wittingly or unwittingly, to Russian influence activities online, the dashboard provided a window into Russian propaganda and disinformation efforts online…

Let’s explore “wittingly or unwittingly.”

Forget that Hamilton 68’s original dashboard said it was “tracking Russian propaganda” and “Russian disinformation” (and not tweets by Consortium, The Sirius Report, and Liberals are Dumb). Forget even that co-founder Jamie Fly regularly compared the Russian cyber threat to al-Qaeda, and used language describing the Hamilton 68 accounts as if they were a front for a league of sleeper cells:

The approximately 600 accounts are a sample of a much wider network of pro-Kremlin accounts… These accounts should be viewed as a sample of distinct networks of Russian-linked accounts that were identified over the course of roughly three years of analysis. They are very likely only the tip of the iceberg.

Hamilton’s claims were even more concrete than that. Its founders told reporters they couldn’t disclose account names because “the Russians will simply shut them down,” implying direct control of Moscow. This is from a Politico interview with co-founder Laura Rosenberger:

Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said Ukraine’s supporters in the West “understand how the war is developing” and the need to supply planes capable of providing cover for the armored fighting vehicles that the United States and Germany pledged at the beginning of the month.

However, in remarks to online video channel Freedom, Podolyak said that some of Ukraine’s Western partners maintain a “conservative” attitude to arms deliveries, “due to fear of changes in the international architecture.” Russia and North Korea have accused the West of prolonging and taking a direct role in the war by sending Kyiv increasingly sophisticated weapons.

“We need to work with this. We must show (our partners) the real picture of this war,” Podolyak said, without naming specific countries. “We must speak reasonably and tell them, for example, ‘This and this will reduce fatalities, this will reduce the burden on infrastructure. This will reduce security threats to the European continent, this will keep the war localized.’ And we are doing it.”

The U.S. and Germany agreed Wednesday to share advanced tanks with Ukraine along with the Bradley and Marder vehicles promised earlier, a decision that led to criticism not only from the Kremlin but from the prime minister of NATO and European Union member Hungary.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban asserted Friday that Western countries providing weapons and money to assist Ukraine in its war with Russia have “drifted” into becoming active participants in the conflict. Orban has refused to send weapons to neighboring Ukraine and sought to block EU funds earmarked for military aid.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said it would summon Hungary’s ambassador to complain about Orban’s remarks. A ministry spokesperson, Oleg Nikolenko, said Orban told reporters that Ukraine was “a no-man’s land” and compared it to Afghanistan.

“Such statements are completely unacceptable. Budapest continues on its course to deliberately destroy Ukrainian-Hungarian relations,” Nikolenko said in a Facebook post.

President Joe Biden’s announcement that the U.S. would send 31 M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine reversed months of arguments by Washington that they were too difficult for Ukrainian troops to operate and maintain.

North Korea Blasts US Tanks For Ukraine, Vows To "Stand In Same Trench" With Russia

North Korea has issued somewhat rare statements lashing out at growing US military involvement in Ukraine, with the influential sister of Kim Jong Un condemning the decision to transfer heavy battle tanks.

Kim Yo Jong's statement came on the heels this week of the US confirming it will send 31 M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine, and they were her first public remarks in months. She charged that Washington is crossing a "red line" in its drive to escalate a "proxy war" aimed at regime change in Russia. "I express serious concern over the US escalating the war situation by providing Ukraine with military hardware for ground offensive," said Kim.

"The US is the arch criminal which poses serious threat and challenge to the strategic security of Russia and pushes the regional situation to the present grave phase," she added, in her official statement as vice-department director of the Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea.

"I do not doubt that any military hardware the US and the West boast of will be burnt into pieces in the face of the indomitable fighting spirit and might of the heroic Russian army and people," she added.

Importantly, at a moment the US is accusing Pyongyang of supplying Russia's military with artillery shells and other lethal equipment, particularly the Wagner Group, Kim stressed that North Korea will always "stand in the same trench" with Russia.

The US throughout months of the war going back to the summer has issued repeat vague allegations that North Korea supplying Russian forces with tens of thousands of artillery shells, which both sides have denied.

But starting last month the Biden administration narrowed the allegations to Pyongyang's support to the Putin-linked mercenary Wagner Group.

"Wagner is searching around the world for arms suppliers to support its military operations in Ukraine," White House national security spokesman John Kirby had said in a late December press briefing. "We can confirm that North Korea has completed an initial arms delivery to Wagner, which paid for that equipment."

The US now says it has satellite evidence of the transfers, describing weapons-laden trains going back and forth over the small stretch of Russia-North Korea border in the far east.

Working with collaborators, we have conducted research where the original SARS-CoV-2 virus has been used to express the spike protein from new variants of concern. In the article, Zakharova lays out a response to the US DoD response from 06/09/22 in which the US deny any such nefarious US DoD activity in Ukraine. Zakharova stated, “We call on American colleagues to show professionalism and instead of propaganda information stuffing to urgently engage in substantive work to correct the situation related to their military and biological activities in the countries of the former USSR.”

So essentially Russia is saying the US has to comply with the UN and that they have been stonewalling any such investigation for decades. Russia is demanding the US cooperate and answer any concerns about their biological activity in post-Soviet states, like Ukraine, Georgia, etc.

So Russia just released the little snippet that Zelensky was actively covering up Ukrainian involvement with Metabiota specifically, which confirms Zelensky knew what was going on, knew this was why Russia was moving in, knew that the labs exist, etc etc. This proves the Ukrainians are more than complicit and proves they knew that Biden was directly engaged in nefarious activity at this lab.

Russia is slowly letting evidence slip out and they claim to have a whole lot more. They are asking for US cooperation so we can clean it up together, but Biden also happens to be directly responsible for the biological crimes against humanity.

• Mr Thomas branded claims by Andrew and Maxwell that the original photograph could be fake as 'ridiculous' and 'absurd', saying he wants people to 'stop dealing in conspiracies'.

Our sensational evidence undermines the Duke's dramatic bid, revealed exclusively in last week's MoS, to overturn the multi-million pound settlement he struck with Miss Roberts and restore his battered reputation.

This newspaper first published the photograph showing Andrew, then 41, grinning with his arm around Miss Roberts at Ghislaine Maxwell's mews house in Belgravia, London, on February 27 2011.

The picture, which shows Maxwell in the background, had been taken nearly a decade earlier by paedophile Jeffrey Epstein using Miss Roberts' camera.

In devastating legal testimony, Miss Roberts, now 39 and using her married name Giuffre, claimed the picture was taken the night she had sex with Andrew at Epstein and Maxwell's bidding, after the pair had danced at Tramp nightclub in London.

Andrew has repeatedly and strenuously denied the allegations and during an interview with BBC Newsnight in 2019 attempted to cast doubt on the photo's authenticity. 'Nobody can prove whether or not that photograph has been doctored but I don't recollect that photograph ever being taken,' he said.

Last week, in a televised prison interview Maxwell -– who is serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking – declared: 'It is a fake. I don't believe it's real for a second, in fact I am sure it's not. There has never been an original and further there is no photograph.'

Miss Roberts first showed the picture, which had been taken on a yellow Kodak camera, to MoS reporter Sharon Churcher and photographer Michael Thomas at her modest bungalow on Australia's Central Coast in February 2011.

Ms Churcher was investigating a mysterious civil writ filed in a Florida court in 2009 by a woman identified only as 'Jane Doe 102' who claimed she had been sexually exploited by friends of financier Epstein 'including royalty'.

After meticulously piecing together a string of clues, Ms Churcher discovered that the writ had been filed by a woman named Virginia Roberts and that she had moved to Australia. The picture featuring Prince Andrew had been kept with more than a dozen others from Miss Roberts' time with Epstein in a white envelope that was stuffed in a bookcase.

Realising its enormous significance, the journalists met Miss Roberts the following day at a Crowne Plaza hotel in the nearby town of Terrigal where she allowed Mr Thomas to take photographs of the original print – standard practice for newspaper photographers handling sensitive pictures.

'She handed me the photograph and I put it on the table in the hotel room and I copied it,' Mr Thomas, a photographer of 37 years' experience, told the MoS last night.

'I think I took more than 30 frames, which is overkill for copying one photo but I didn't want to get it out of focus or get it wrong because I knew how important it was.'

He was in no doubt the photo was genuine. 'I was holding the original photo in my hand. It was a normal 6x4 inch print that you would have got from any developer at the time.

'It looked like it was ten years old. It wasn't crisp because it had been developed in 2001. She had held on to it for ten years by the time I saw it. For Ghislaine Maxwell to come out and say it was fake is ridiculous. I held the photo. It was a normal photograph. It was a physical print. It exists. I saw it and that's what I photographed and that's what you see now.'

Since then, the set of duplicates have sat on a hard drive in the office of Mr Thomas's home near Queenstown in New Zealand. But last Monday, while driving home from a DIY store, he was infuriated to hear a report on the radio in which Maxwell insisted the photograph was fake. 'I thought, 'here we go again'. When they say it's fake, they are saying that I'm involved. They are basically accusing someone of faking it and me being party to it. It's not fake – and it never has been.'

Determined to kill the conspiracy theory once and for all, Mr Thomas examined his pictures from more than a decade ago and, to his surprise, realised that as well as taking 36 separate shots of the front of Ms Roberts' photograph he had also turned the picture over and taken three shots of its reverse. Those images – published exclusively for the first time today – reveal a stamp that contains crucial new information. The stamp reads: '000 #15 13Mar01 Walgreens One Hour Photo'.

Experts say this proves the original photo was developed at Walgreens – a huge pharmacy chain similar to Boots – in one hour on March 13, 2001.

Last week, the MoS visited the Walgreens store in West Palm Beach which is most likely to have developed the photograph.

The large shop on Royal Palm Beach Boulevard opened in 1988 and is less than a two-minute drive from Miss Roberts' home at that time in Bent Oak, a development of flats where she lived with her then boyfriend Tony Figueroa.

Joel VanHemel, a Florida-based photographic expert and court witness, who was shown the back of the print last week, was unequivocal in saying it was genuine.

'It was definitely produced in a Walgreens, for sure, probably using a Noritsu or Fuji machine.

'The 000 number would be the order number, presumably because it was their first order that particular day. And the #15 is the negative number – it was the 15th picture in the film roll.'

Mr VanHemel, who has been working in photographic development since 1986, added: 'Then you have the date – 13Mar01 – and it states it was Walgreens One Hour Photo. It's on Kodak paper like the standard print you'd get from any Walgreens.'

A veteran photo developer who works in a different printing shop in West Palm Beach said he thought Miss Roberts' original print was on Kodak RA-4 paper, which was used by Walgreens around that time.

Crucially, the date displayed on the picture perfectly fits with the known timeline of Miss Roberts' movements. Flight logs obtained by the Daily Mail in 2019 show that Miss Roberts arrived in London on March 9, 2001, and departed for the US two days later. The photograph of Andrew and Miss Roberts is believed to have been taken on March 10.

Quizzed under oath, Miss Roberts has said that while she cannot remember exactly where she got the photograph developed, she believed it was 'when I got back to America'.

A top forensic imaging expert consulted by this newspaper last week said he believed our evidence showed the picture was unlikely to have been faked. 'The original image is likely to be genuine,' he said. 'Film grain is visible so the original print will most likely be taken on a film camera and printed onto photographic paper rather than be a digital image.'

And renowned US digital forensic expert Bryan Neumeister, who gave evidence during last year's Johnny Depp and Amber Heard defamation trial, said he could find no evidence of forgery from his preliminary assessment of one of Mr Thomas's duplicates.

'With more than 42 years of film, video and digital photography professional experience, and having worked more than 1,000 legal cases, It is my initial opinion that the photo in question is not a composite,' he said.

For Mr Thomas, the discovery of the image of the back of the photo is documentary proof that he saw – and held – the original print.

'People are now saying it was just a copy and there was no original photo. Well, I saw the photo. And it was a photo with the information of when and where it was processed on the back.'

Mr Thomas is not the only person who saw the original print. Miss Roberts showed the photo soon after it was developed to her friend Carolyn Andriano, who was also abused by Epstein and Maxwell when she was 14.

Last week, her husband John told the MoS that Andrew and Maxwell were 'wrong' to claim the photo had been doctored, adding: 'My wife only tells the truth, she ain't no liar. If she said that's what she saw then that's all there is to it.'

Tony Figueroa, Miss Roberts' ex-boyfriend, has also said that he also saw the photo in 2001 when she first told him about Andrew. Quizzed under oath in 2016 about whether he saw a photograph with Miss Roberts with the Duke, he replied: 'Yes'.

An analysis of the 'meta-data' embedded in each of Mr Thomas's 39 images of the original photograph, also provides proof of his account. They show that he took the images with a Canon EOS-1D Mark IV camera on February 17, 2011. He took the final picture of the front of the original image at 1.04pm, before turning it over and photographing its reverse.

Mr Thomas said the idea that the photo could have been doctored before he saw it is also fanciful.

'Virginia lived in a basic bungalow in pretty rural New South Wales. She wasn't massively computer literate – I don't think she even had a computer at the house. We didn't get anything computerised from Virginia. You've got to remember that this was 2011. If at any stage someone had faked it, they would have had to fake the front and the back of the photo.'

'They throw out this line that it's been faked but have three different people been put in the photo? How was it done? What's fake about the picture?

'If you look at the original print there's a thumbprint in shot and there's a flash bouncing back off the back window. It's not exactly the most technically perfect picture.

'I'd like this all to be put to bed. I don't want every six months to get emails from people saying it's fake. Hopefully people can stop dealing in conspiracies.'
