With COVID-19 rates high across Victoria and more cases of influenza this year than in 2020 and 2021 combined, it’s important that we do everything we can to stay well this winter.

That’s why the Chitty Chitty Jab Jab COVID-19 Vaccination Mobile Hubis rumbling into Ensay and Bairnsdale soon – to make vaccinations even more convenient for you and to protect the people around you.

Visit the mobile hub at the Ensay Bush Nursing Centre between 10am to 2pm on Friday, 24 June and the Bairnsdale Aquatic Centre from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, 25 June.

‘Chitty Chitty’ vax bus here again soon

THE schedule for the Gippsland Region Public Health Unit’s (GRPHU) mobile vaccination bus has been confirmed for August.

Active COVID positive cases in Gippsland remain relatively steady, according to the GRPHU, with just over 49 in hospital and 311 receiving care under the COVID Positive Pathways program but they are encouraging people to stay up-to-date with vaccination.

The free Chitty Chitty Jab Jab bus is set to visit the following locations locally:

Chitty Chitty Jab Jab is one more way people can access their free vaccinations without an appointment.

Vaccination bus funding

Funding for the bus is provided by the Victorian Department of Health and GRPHU Operations Director, Annelies Titulaer, said the funding was due to be reviewed at the end of September 2022.

“Chitty Chitty Jab Jab was a unique initiativedeveloped to complement other outreach services like the nine state-run vaccination hubs, providing access to vaccinations to as many communities in Gippsland as possible,” she explained.

“GRPHU worked closely with local health services across Gippsland to manage the state-run vaccination hubs and we appreciate everyone’s involvement to be very responsive to meet community and staff need.”

With the closure of the state-run hubs as the Department of Health moves into a new phase of COVID management support, the bus is visiting more towns than ever before to ensure it can capture those who haven’t yet had the opportunity to get up to date with their vaccinations.

“Gippsland covers an area of over 41,500 square kilometres. Our Chitty Chitty Jab Jab team is visiting 14 locations in August…some towns more than twice,” Ms Titulaer explained.

“It’s challenging but our team is committed to providing this service in the best way possible and we really appreciate the community’s patience, understanding and kindness at this time. Travelling on the roads can be problematic and the safety of our team is paramount.”

To be considered up to date with COVID-19 vaccination, you must have completed all the doses recommended for your age and health status.

“If you are in one of these priority groups, please identify yourself to your chosen vaccination provider so they can help you to get your vaccination as soon as possible:

aged and disability care workers

people with disability

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

women who are pregnant

people with underlying medical conditions, including those immunocompromised.

If you are aged 5 years or older, you are eligible for a COVID-19 vaccination:

5 – 11 years: Pfizer – first and second dose.

12 – 15 years: Pfizer or Moderna – first and second dose

16 – 17 years: Pfizer or Moderna – first and second dose – Pfizer booster three months after last dose.

18 – 29 years: Pfizer, Moderna, Novavax – first and second dose – Booster three months after last dose.

30 – 49 years: Pfizer, Moderna, Novavax – first and second dose – Booster three months after last dose – Fourth dose three months after booster.

“In our nation’s 246-year history there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our Republic than Donald Trump.” So says Dick Cheney, former Defense Secretary and Vice President under the late George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush, in a video clip he has paid to air on the Fox network.

More than that, Cheney has aligned himself with the election rigging Democratic machine as has his daughter Liz. “He (Trump) tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters rejected him. He’s a coward. A real man wouldn’t lie to his supporters.”

Again, this from Dick Cheney, the very Defense Secretary and Vice President who lied about Saddam Hussein’s so-called weapons of mass destruction and destroyed an entire nation so it could be rebuilt by the very companies he and his cronies were invested in.

Cheney had earlier directed the Operation Desert Storm in Iraqi, an operation based on a big lie spread by PR company Hill & Knowlton that Saddam Hussein’s soldiers had pulled the plug on babies in incubators in Kuwait. Cheney was also a champion of waterboarding torture for terrorism suspects. He was known by his opponents as Darth Vader and the Prince of Darkness.

This same man was also involved in the notorious “Project for the New American Century”, the blueprint for American economic and military domination of the planet and a Middle East invasion that required “a new Pearl Harbor” event to justify it. And hey presto, along came the 9-11, 2001 inside jobs on the World Trade Centre and Pentagon. Cheney was a very busy man that day.

Dick Cheney is the face of American neoconservatism – the America that runs on endless wars and military and commercial domination of the planet. It’s globalism without the kumbaya, hold-hands-across-the-universe, United Nations sentiment. It’s fascist-style globalism i.e. a combine of global corporate and government military power. Trump openly opposes such a policy.

Cheney was rightfully labelled a warmonger and that was just part of the landscape of being CEO of the weapons and oil contractor Halliburton. He was still on their payroll despite “leaving” the company to take on the office of Vice President of the US. Conflict of interest? Hell no, not for our butt-kicking tough guy Dick.

While Bush’s Vice President, Dick the trigger-happy hunter shot Texas lawyer Harry Whittington in the face, neck and chest during a quail hunting trip. They tried to cover up the incident and Cheney never apologized, but according to some reports Whittington actually apologized to Cheney for causing him such embarrassment.

CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, has opened a new $23.1 million national lab in Melbourne that will bolster the nation’s ability to produce vaccines and drug treatments onshore.

Researchers at CSIRO’s National Vaccine and Therapeutics Lab will turn vaccine and drug candidates into products that can be manufactured in large quantities for clinical trials. The ability to do this in Australia, rather than needing to go overseas, has been the ‘missing link’ in Australia’s biomedical science sector being able to produce vaccines and drugs here.

The new lab follows a successful pilot facility in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, when CSIRO scaled up vaccine candidates that had been developed onshore as part of a national strategy to combat this emerging threat.

The facility was completed with funding from the Federal and Victorian Governments and was officially opened today by Federal Minister for Industry and Science Hon Ed Husic.

CSIRO’s Chief Executive Dr Larry Marshall said the new National Lab would lift Australia’s ability to protect its people and grow new industries.

“We created the pilot facility in anticipation of disease “X” – an expected but unknown disease that might impact us. It turned out to be COVID-19. The past two years have highlighted the importance for Australia to have a robust sovereign capability in the development of vaccines and therapeutics, so we scaled it up into one of our shared National Labs,” Dr Marshall said.

“The problem facing our biomedical industry has been that most vaccine and drug candidates needed to be sent overseas to be produced in large quantities for clinical trials, adding burdensome costs that have crushed many Australian businesses and researchers as the invention languishes on the lab bench.

“This new shared National Lab will help Aussie companies bridge that ‘valley of death’ – the gap between the lab bench and making a product that’s having an impact on people’s lives.”

The new lab provides a significant boost to Australian translational research capacity and advanced manufacturing in biotechnology to benefit SMEs, start-ups and the research sector.

Research Director for Biomedical Manufacturing, Professor Susie Nilsson said the facility was available to companies and researchers around the country as another of CSIRO’s National Labs.

“This new lab has been designed and constructed in accordance with the current licensing requirements of the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration to produce a variety of biologics, including recombinant proteins and peptides, and viral products,” Professor Nilsson said.

“Our team at the lab will produce drugs in partnership with local industry and enable our partners to progress to both phase one and phase two clinical trials in Australia, and also has the necessary accreditation for Australian companies to participate in clinical trials globally.”

A federal jury awarded Republican Roy Moore $8.2 million in damages Friday after finding that a Democratic super PAC defamed him in an advertisement during the 2017 U.S. Senate race in Alabama.

Conservative Roy Moore had won the Senate primary. Democrats then set out to destroy his candidacy.

Jurors found the Senate Majority PAC made false and defamatory statements against Moore in the ad that attempted to capitalize on a sexual misconduct accusation made against Moore during the 2017 race, Yahoo News reports.

The problem began after a woman came forward to The Washington Post and said Moore sexually touched her in 1979 when she was 14 and he was a 32-year-old assistant district attorney. There was no evidence.

Moore denied the accusation.

Other women said Moore dated them, or asked them out on dates, when they were older teens.

Again, no evidence.

The lawsuit centered on one television commercial that recounted accusations against Moore in various news articles.

Moore’s attorneys argued the ad falsely claimed he solicited sex from young girls at a shopping mall, including another 14-year-old who was working as a Santa’s helper, and that resulted in him being banned from the mall.

Judge Roy Moore has other lawsuits, one against Sacha Baron Cohen. A judge threw out the Cohen lawsuit and he is trying to have that decision reversed.

“We’re very thankful to God for an opportunity to help restore my reputation which was severely damaged by the 2017 election,” Moore said in a telephone interview.

“The verdict by this jury of regular people of the state of Alabama represents a great legal victory over those who will say and do anything to capture an election including dragging the name of a good man through the mud to destroy a hard earned reputation. The facts of this case were so egregious that the jury quickly found actual malice against the Senate majority super PAC. God’s truth and justice won the day for Judge Roy Moore,” said Jeff Wittenbrink, Moore’s attorney, in a press release.

Everyone was out to get him. By the time the election came up, Alabamans voted for Progressive Democrat Doug Jones who ran pretending he was a moderate.

Australia’s Reserve Bank is launching a pilot program over the course of the next year in collaboration with the Bank for International Settlements (the central bank of central banks) to test the “benefits” of a blockchain ledger-based digital currency system. The central bank is added to a long list of participants in BIS efforts to introduce CBDCs (central bank digital currencies) with the target goal of launching them globally by 2025-2030.

It’s important to note that substantial economic changes would have to occur within the next few years in order to make CBDC a viable option for the general public. Though many people use electronic transactions as a matter of convenience, a large portion of the population still prefers cash. In the US, surveys within the last few years show that at least 37% of Americans still choose cash over other methods of payment like credit and debit cards. In Australia, the number stands at around 32%.

The usage of digital payment systems also does not necessarily denote a societal shift away from the idea of cash, it only shows a preference for convenience. People still like to know that cash exists as an option if they need it or want it, but central banks are working diligently to remove physical cash as a choice within the next 8 years.

CBDCs, much like all blockchain-based currency mechanisms, are inherently devoid of privacy. By its very design, blockchain tech requires a ledger of transactions than can be tracked by governments if they so choose. Physical cash, though fiat in nature, is at least anonymous.

With the advent of widespread CBDCs the very notion of privacy in trade would utterly disappear from society within a generation. Not only that, but if these currencies are tied into a social credit system like the one used in communist China, then there is a good chance governments will be able to freeze accounts or even erase your savings at the push of a button. And, without physical cash there would be no recourse for trade. A person deemed “problematic” could be locked out of the economy on a whim.

The fact that the BIS is so heavily involved in national digital-currency programs suggests that the ultimate goal of CBDCs will be an eventual global digital currency – a one-world currency mechanism that all other digital currencies are eventually absorbed into. This collaboration extends to the IMF and World Bank as well.

With so many physical currencies in use around the world, and at least 30% of each Western nation preferring cash, there is little chance that central banks will be able to force the issue of CBDCs unless there is an economic downturn or crash that inspires a public outcry for alternatives to existing currencies. Meaning, banking elites will need a crisis that damages the very buying power of multiple currency systems in order to get people accept an aggressive shift to a cashless society before 2030.

The pitfalls of such a framework are many and the potential for abuse goes far beyond the idea of fiat printing. CBDCs would give banks and governments ultimate power of influence over the populace, inspiring fear in individuals as they consider the threat that their access to the economy could be severed at any moment should they say or do anything in defiance of the authorities.

Banks and politicians will try to sell CBDCs as the pinnacle of convenience and a necessary transition in order to stabilize the economy. What they will not mention is the pervasive level of control they will gain in the process.

Pulmonary emboli (PEs) occur when the pulmonary artery is blocked by foreign material. In one such instance, this foreign material can be a blood clot that may occur from patient risk factors inducing a prothrombotic state. The relationship between COVID-19 vaccines and a prothrombotic state is novel and changing as our understanding of the relationship between the two evolves. The patient in this case study presented with unrelenting and progressive dyspnea, tachycardia, and unilateral lower extremity swelling two days after receiving the second dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. After diagnostic testing, the patient was found to have a submassive saddle pulmonary embolism with subsequent right heart strain. This patient was treated with appropriate anticoagulation therapies, including heparin and apixaban, as well as thrombectomy, and made a complete recovery. The possible relationship between COVID-19 vaccines and thrombotic events supports the need for increased awareness of a potential new risk factor behind the development of PE. It is our hope that this case report will help raise awareness of an association despite the lack of incident data at this time.

Conclusions

This case report highlights a case of an upper middle-aged male who was diagnosed with an unprovoked submassive saddle pulmonary embolism on CT angiogram and who was successfully treated with catheter-assisted mechanical thrombectomy and pharmacologic anticoagulation. Pulmonary emboli usually have common risk factors, such as obesity or recent immobilization, that physicians are trained to recognize to help aid in diagnosis. The possible relationship between COVID-19 vaccines and a prothrombotic state should be considered as a feasible new risk factor when patients present with possible pulmonary emboli but lack typical symptoms or risk factors.

The Ukrainian military attacked the Stirol chemical plant in Gorlovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) on Friday, according to Ivan Prikhodko, adding that the plant's territory had caught fire.

"Under the international convention adopted by the resolution of the UN General Assembly of April 13, 2005, we consider these criminal actions of the Ukrainian authorities to be an act of nuclear terrorism," Mizintsev told a briefing.

The official said that if an accident were to happen, which the shelling could potentially cause, the effects would surpass the scale of Chernobyl and Fukushima - the entire terriories of Ukraine, Donetsk, Lugansk, Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Bulgaria and Romania would be contaminated by nuclear waste.

Today, Thursday, Russia accused the office of the United Nations Secretary-General of obstructing the work of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) experts and preventing them from visiting the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) in eastern Ukraine.

Permanent Representative to the UN Vassily Nebenzia said that the United Nations was impeding the work of the IAEA during the United Nations Security Council meeting held on Thursday in New York to discuss the NPP's issue.

Nebenzia addressed the member states of the security council by saying that Russia has since the beginning been supporting the IAEA's efforts to guarantee the safety of the Ukrainian nuclear facilities.

"We were able to solve all the difficult issues related to organizing and conducting a visit of this kind. However, at the very last moment, the UN general secretariat turned on the red light, canceling the visit," Nebenzia said.

The death toll from the Israeli occupation's latest aggression on Gaza Strip has risen to 49, the Palestinian Health Ministry reported on Friday.

The latest death that brought the toll to 49 was a 22-year-old Palestinian who "died at the hospital from severe wounds he sustained" during the latest round of Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the Ministry said in a statement, referring to the Israeli occupation's three-day long offensive on Gaza.

The Ministry had reported earlier that the aggression martyred 41 people, including 19 children and four women.

The death toll is expected to rise even further considering the critical injuries a lot of Palestinians sustained by the aggression, as at least one death case is reported almost daily.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said there were at least 360 people injured as a result of the arbitrary atrocious Israeli attacks on the Strip.

Consequently, Al-Quds Brigades launched an operation in response to the Israeli occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip by launching salvoes of rockets toward the occupied Palestinian territories, in retaliation for the bombing.

During the second day of aggression, the Israeli occupation committed a horrifying crime in the Jabalya refugee camp, located in the northern Gaza Strip.

Five people were martyred, including three children, and many others were wounded.

Sources told Al Mayadeen Sunday that a ceasefire in Gaza has been reached agreeing to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's demands in full.

PIJ political chief Mohammad Al-Hindi said that "a formula for the Egyptian declaration of the truce agreement has been reached, and it includes Egypt's commitment to work for the release of the two prisoners, Khalil Awawdeh and Bassam Al-Saadi."

The U.N.'s International Atomic Energy Agency has said the shelling of Zaporizhzhia, Europe's biggest nuclear power station, could cause a nuclear disaster, but has been unable to arrange the conditions for an inspection.

Kyiv and U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres have called for the area to be demilitarized, and the Group of Seven major economies have urged Russia to return it to Ukraine.

But senior Russian lawmaker Leonid Slutsky, chair of the lower house's foreign affairs committee, said the idea of returning the plant to the control of Ukrainians was 'a 'mockery from the point of view of ensuring safety.'

'And all the statements of the G7 foreign ministers in support of their demands are nothing but 'sponsorship of nuclear terrorism',' he added on his Telegram channel.

Russia seized the Zaporizhzhia plant in March after invading Ukraine on Feb. 24, but the site is still being operated by its Ukrainian staff.

Kyiv said the complex had been struck five times on Thursday, including near where radioactive materials are stored.

Lockheed Martin wins nearly $8Bln contract for 129 F-35s: Pentagon

The aerial unit of arms manufacturing conglomerate Lockheed Martin, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, has won a contract that would see its pockets grow more than $7.6 billion deeper, according to the Pentagon.

The deal is a US Navy modification contract, under which Lockheed Martin will produce 129 new F-35 Joint Strike Fighter jets, the US Department of Defense announced.

"Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, is awarded a not-to-exceed $7,630,940,571... contract," the Defense Department said in a press release on Friday. "This modification increases the ceiling to procure 129 Lot 15 aircraft."

The order includes F-35A aircraft for the US Air Force; three F-35B aircraft and ten F-35C aircraft for the Marine Corps; 15 F-35C aircraft for the US Navy; 32 F-35A aircraft and four F-35B aircraft for non-Defense Department participants; and 16 F-35A aircraft for Foreign Military Sales customers, the release added.

Around 57% of the work on the contract will be performed in Forth Worth, Texas, 14% in El Segundo, California, and 9% in Warton, the United Kingdom, the release also said.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) said in January it had sued to stop the acquisition of the country's last independent supplier of missile propulsion systems over concerns that Lockheed would use its leverage to harm rival defense contractors. One month later, Lockheed Martin scrapped a $4.4 billion deal to buy Aerojet Rocketdyne after the FTC moved to block it.

Lockheed Martin, however, is still conducting business as usual with Washington, as it handed over its first operational Multiple Rocket Launch System (MLRS) to the US Army, the company announced in mid-July.

According to the arms conglomerate, the MLRS can be carried on heavy military airlift carriers, and they are designed to destroy artillery, air defense concentrations, trucks, light armor, and personnel carrier at distances further than previously possible while having the ability to relocate at high speed.

Two days after the handover, the US announced that it launched two hypersonic missiles manufactured by the company in light of mounting concerns that China and Russia have had more success manufacturing and developing their own homemade hypersonic weapons.

The latest time period has seen the US conduct successful hypersonic weapons tests in a change from its usual failures, raising questions about cost and increasing concerns that Washington has been failing in what is now dubbed a superpower arms race.

Arms manufacturers like Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Raytheon Technologies have all touted their hypersonic weapons programs to investors in a bid to further benefit from wars and the shift to the new arms race in light of surging tensions around the globe.

M270 MLRSs are among the weapons handed out to Kiev as part of the influx of western arms to the country in light of the Ukraine war. However, Ukraine has been found to be selling weapons it acquired from the West on the black market due to the Kiev forces' limited ability to use them because of their lack of training, logistical challenges, and the diminishing size of the Ukrainian armed forces, as per former Pentagon advisor Karen Kwiatkowski.

At the start of June, the White House announced that the United States was sending a new batch of military supplies to Ukraine. The new batch of arms supply is worth $450 million in shipments.

Though the United States has been taking care of providing training for the Ukrainian soldiers when it comes to arms they are not accustomed to, Kiev is still selling its arms to the black market due to "inexperience".

Even the HIMARS are likely to be sold, US defense officials have said, though Pentagon policy chief Colin Kahl said Kiev's forces recently completed training on HIMARS delivered to Ukraine by Washington and London.

Biden Administration officials asked Twitter to ban me because of my tweets questioning the Covid vaccines, even as company employees believed I had followed Twitter’s rules, internal Twitter communications reveal.

In a White House meeting in April 2021, four months before Twitter suspended my account, the company faced “one really tough question about why Alex Berenson hasn’t been kicked off from the platform,” a Twitter employee wrote.

The employee recounted the meeting discussion afterwards on Twitter’s internal Slack messaging system. The message, and others, make clear that top federal officials targeted me specifically, potentially violating my basic First Amendment right to free speech.

The First Amendment does not apply to private companies like Twitter. But if the companies are acting on behalf of the federal government they can become “state actors” that must allow free speech and debate, just as the government does.

Previous efforts to file state action lawsuits against the government and social media companies for working together to ban users have failed. Courts have universally held that people who have been banned have not shown the specific demands from government officials that are necessary to support state action claims.

In my case, though, federal officials appear to have gone far beyond generically encouraging Twitter to support Covid vaccines or discourage “misinformation” (i.e. information that the government does not like).

Instead, top officials targeted me personally.

Andrew Slavitt, senior advisor to President Biden’s Covid response team, complained specifically about me, according to a Twitter employee in another Slack conversation discussing the White House meeting.

“They really wanted to know about Alex Berenson,” the employee wrote. “Andy Slavitt suggested they had seen data viz [visualization] that had showed he was the epicenter of disinfo that radiated outwards to the persuadable public.”

According to an interview he gave to the Washington Post in June 2021, Slavitt worked directly with the most powerful officials in the federal government, including Ron Klain, President Biden’s chief of staff, and Biden himself.

The Slack conversations also show the pressure Twitter employees felt internally to respond to the government’s questions about whether the company was doing enough to suppress “misinformation” about Covid and the vaccines. An employee writes that the questions at the meeting were “pointed” but “mercifully, we had answers.”

At the time, employees said internally they did not believe I had broken the company’s rules. “I’ve taken a pretty close look at his account and I don’t think any of it’s violative,” an employee wrote on the Slack conversation a few minutes after the "really tough question about why Alex Berenson hasn’t been kicked off.”

But the pressure on Twitter to take action against me and other mRNA vaccine skeptics steadily increased after that April meeting, and especially in July and August, as the government began to consider the unprecedented step of mandating Covid vaccines for adults.

On July 16, 2021, President Biden complained publicly that social media companies were “killing people” by encouraging vaccine hesitancy. A few hours after Biden’s comment, Twitter suspended my account for the first time.

On August 28, 2021, barely four months after the meeting, Twitter banned me - for a tweet that it has now acknowledged “should not have led to my suspension.”

I obtained the message and other documents related to Twitter’s censorship of me as part of my lawsuit against Twitter over my August 2021 ban. I filed the suit in federal court in San Francisco in December 2021. Twitter and I settled it last month, when Twitter restored my account and acknowledged it had erred in banning me.

The documents contain other revelations, including emails showing that other reporters asked Twitter to take action against me; I will report on those in the future.

After initially claiming that she would return to SKDK after the campaign, Dunn changed course and became a senior adviser to Biden, one of the most coveted roles in the White House. The role, she told reporters, would only last until summer, at which point she will return to SKDK.

The temporary status allows Dunn to skirt traditional ethics disclosures, which require government officials to make public previous consulting clients, investments, debts, and other potential conflicts of interest. Instead, she was hired into a special, temporary role that keeps her disclosure — and, therefore, her client list at SKDK and any conflicts of interest — out of the public eye.

A lack of visionary leadership is to blame, the veteran statesman says

Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger told the Wall Street Journal that Washington has rejected traditional diplomacy, and in the absence of a great leader, has driven the world to the precipice of war over Ukraine and Taiwan. Kissinger previously courted controversy for suggesting that Kiev abandon some of its territorial claims to end the conflict with Russia.

“We are at the edge of war with Russia and China on issues which we partly created, without any concept of how this is going to end or what it’s supposed to lead to,” Kissinger said in the interview, published on Saturday.

Kissinger, now 99 years old, elaborated on the West’s role in the Ukraine conflict in a recent book profiling prominent post-WWII leaders. He described Russia’s decision to send troops into the country in February as motivated by its own security, as having Ukraine join NATO would move the alliance’s weapons to within 300 miles (480km) of Moscow. Conversely, having Ukraine in its entirety fall under Russian influence would do little to “calm historic European fears of Russian domination.”

Diplomats in Kiev and Washington should have balanced these concerns, he wrote, describing the current conflict in Ukraine as “an outgrowth of a failed strategic dialogue.” Speaking to the Wall Street Journal a month after the book’s publication, Kissinger stood by his insistence that the West should have taken Russian President Vladimir Putin’s security demands seriously, and refused to signal that Ukraine would one day be accepted into the NATO alliance.

In the runup to its military operation in Ukraine, Russia presented the US and NATO with written outlines of its security concerns, which were rejected by both receiving parties.

Kissinger, who in the late 1960s and early 1970s held extensive negotiations with Vietnamese communists even as the US military waged war against them, said that modern American leaders tend to view diplomacy as having “personal relationships with the adversary,” and in words paraphrased by the Wall Street Journal, “tend to view negotiations in missionary, rather than psychological terms, seeking to convert or condemn their interlocutors rather than to penetrate their thinking.”

Instead, Kissinger argued that the US should seek “equilibrium” between itself, Russia, and China.

This term refers to “a kind of balance of power, with an acceptance of the legitimacy of sometimes opposing values,” Kissinger explained. “Because if you believe that the final outcome of your effort has to be the imposition of your values, then I think equilibrium is not possible.”

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) announced on Friday that she filed articles of impeachment against U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland. The Republican representative for Georgia claimed that Garland helped facilitate a "political persecution" of former President Donald Trump.

Garland drew the ire of Garland after the FBI raid of Trump's residence at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida. Taylor accused Garland of not "faithfully" executing the office of the attorney general's promise to "preserve, protect and defend" the United States Constitution.

Taylor told reporters outside the Capitol building, "What they've been doing to [former] President Trump is political persecution."

"Merrick Garland has abused his position of power as the attorney general to politically persecute Joe Biden's enemies," she added. "And the whole purpose of this is to prevent President Trump from ever being able to hold office."

"I'm introducing articles of impeachment on Merrick Garland," Taylor proclaimed. "Because we cannot tolerate this in America, where our great institutions are welded and abused in such a way to impeach people's political enemies."

Taylor's articles of impeachment accused the attorney general of "endangering, compromising, and undermining the justice system of the United States by facilitating the persecution" of President Joe Biden's political rival – Donald Trump.

"Personal approval to seek a search warrant for the raid on the home of the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, constitutes a blatant attempt to persecute a political opponent," the document read.

Taylor's resolution claimed that Garland's "effort to unseal the search warrant for the home of former President Donald J. Trump constitutes an attempt to intimidate, harass, and potentially disqualify a political challenger to President Joseph R. Biden, Jr."

It’s unclear what was discussed on the call.

“Does this still work for you,” Hunter Biden’s office manager Joan Peugh said in a July 29 email titled “12:00pm call with Louis Freeh.”

“I’m going to yoga at 5:15 if you are done with your dad in time,” she offered.

Biden family confidante Mark Gitenstein, a longtime donor to the president who worked on the Obama/Biden transition team in 2008 was also enlisted in the Popoviciu effort, a search of the laptop shows.

Gitenstein, who served as ambassador to the country from 2009 to 2012, and is now the US Ambassador to the European Union, credited his relationship with Joe Biden for the prestigious Romania posting, emails show.

He has donated more than $15,000 to Joe Biden’s various campaigns, stretching back to the mid 1990s. In the 1980s he worked as Chief Counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee from 1981 to 1989 — a period when Joe Biden was the top Democratic member.

“I was so taken by the Biden ‘family’ I ended up working for them for 13 years. And in some respects I feel like I have never left,” he said in a June 2015 Facebook post, eulogizing Beau Biden, who had recently died of brain cancer.

Raphael Warnock Swore Off Corporate PAC Money — But Took Thousands From PACs Funded By Massive Corporations

Sen. Raphael Warnock has collected tens of thousands of dollars in campaign donations from political action committees (PAC) funded by corporations this election cycle, records show. At the same time, the Georgia Democrat has said he’s “never taken a dime of corporate PAC money” and pledged not to do so.

Warnock’s campaign took $29,600 during the first and second quarters of 2022 from Democratic leadership PACs that have in turn accepted $1.6 million from corporate-backed PACs since 2003, according to Federal Election Commission records (FEC) reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

“I’ve made the decision to reject corporate PAC money, so I’m fully relying on grassroots folks like you to power our reelection campaign to victory,” Warnock’s campaign wrote in a fundraising email Wednesday.

Ameripac, which is tied to Maryland Rep. Steny Hoyer, gave $5,000 to Warnock’s campaign in June, filings show. The leadership PAC has gotten $373,000 since 2003 from PACs for Google, CVS, Lockheed Martin, General Electric and Pfizer.

Green Mountain PAC, which is the leadership PAC for Vermont Sen. Patrick Leahy, donated $2,500 to the senator’s campaign in March, filings show. Leahy’s PAC has received $489,250 since 2005 from PACs for General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, AT&T, Microsoft, Deloitte, Lockheed Martin, Google, Comcast and Pfizer, records show.

“Raphael Warnock is the ultimate actor,” Stephen Lawson, a Republican strategist in Georgia, told the DCNF. “Whether it’s in terms of his voting record for billions in wasteful spending or taking huge sums from liberal corporate mega donors. He’s the ultimate hypocrite and I think Georgia voters see through his lies and his hypocrisy.

Over 100 Warning Labels Added to Books After Shocking P*rn in Schools Report

A Florida school district has placed warning labels for parents on more than 100 books containing LGBT and raced-based content, according to Fox News.

Collier County public schools in Southwest Florida began adding warning labels to books in the district library after the February release of a report on pornography in schools, Fox News reported Thursday.

The “advisory notice to parents” stickers are placed on books in the school’s library and online catalog.

“This Advisory Notice shall serve to inform you that this book has been identified by some community members as unsuitable for students,” the label says, according to Fox News. “This book will also be identified in the Destiny system with the same notation.

“The decision whether this book is suitable or unsuitable shall be the decision of the parent(s) who has the right to oversee his/her child’s education consistent with state law.”

The “2021 Objectionable Materials Report: Pornography and Age-Inappropriate Material in Florida Public Schools” was created by the Florida Citizens Alliance, a nonprofit for K-12 education reform, according to the report.

It said Collier County public schools’ library included 66 percent “questionable content” such as LGBT books about gender identification aimed at elementary-age students.

“To ensure that parents retain control over what their child is reading from the media center collection, we provide parents directions for accessing the online system in order to view books checked out by their child,” Collier County public schools told the Daily Caller News Foundation in a statement.

“As noted above, we have developed procedures to allow parents and community members to object to media center books,” it said.

The report lists “LGBTQ-focused novels” with “gender self-identification and same-sex marriage” that it says were aimed at children from 12 months to 8 years old.

The books in question “contain indecent and offensive material,” according to the report.

In March, Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the Parental Rights in Education bill into law. The legislation prohibits lessons on gender identity and sexual orientation from kindergarten to the third grade. Critics have deemed the legislation the “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

The Florida Citizens Alliance did not immediately respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.

Puberty blocker manufacturers are behind much of the push to normalize child sex-change attempts, funding doctors at pediatric transgender clinics, activist groups, and medical organizations that promote the practice.

One of the many ways that puberty blocker manufacturers seem to be working to normalize child transgenderism is through the financial compensation of doctors who aid the sex change attempts of children

Breitbart News has revealed that multiple directors of transgender clinics have received compensation from companies that produce puberty blockers. Even more revealing, however, is that these doctors are frequently paid for “consulting” services that are specifically tied to the puberty blocking drugs.

ProPublica found that doctors prescribe a drug more often when they have received payments from pharmaceutical companies, especially payments pertaining to that specific drug. Should this trend hold true, this would mean these doctors are more likely to prescribe these puberty blocking drugs to children who want to change their sex.

Many of the doctors have received payment from Endo Pharmaceuticals, specifically for their work as consultants regarding the drug Supprelin LA. Supprelin LA is frequently used off-label as a puberty blocker for children who are attempting to change their sex.

Of the top ten recipients of money from Endo Pharmaceuticals in payments related to Supprelin LA in the year 2018, at least three of the doctors work in clinics that aid child sex-change attempts.

Breitbart News first revealed that the Director of the Boston Children’s Hospital’s Gender Services Division, Dr. Jeremi Carswell, received $3,055 from Endo Pharmaceuticals in 2018, the most recent year for which data is available. Carswell received $2,110 from the company for a “consulting fee.”

A research article from Dr. Carswell, titled “Pubertal suppression for transgender youth and risk of suicidal ideation,” had to be revised to reflect the conflict of interest that is posed by her financial ties to the company. It then noted that Carswell “has received an advisory board stipend from Endo Pharmaceuticals.”

Notably, the Boston Children’s Hospital is associated with Harvard University and is “home to the first pediatric and adolescent transgender health program in the United States.” The children’s hospital’s Gender Services Division provides puberty blockers to children.

Carswell is just one of several doctors with concerning financial ties to puberty blocker manufacturers.

Bangladesh: 150,000 striking tea workers demand a pay raise

About 150,000 workers from more than 200 tea plantations in Bangladesh went on strike Saturday, demanding a 150% increase in their wages of one dollar a day, one of the lowest in the world according to researchers.

Most tea workers in the overwhelmingly Muslim country are low-caste Hindus, the descendants of laborers brought to the plantations by colonial-era British planters.

A worker explained that this was barely enough to buy food, let alone other basic necessities. "Today, we can't even afford brown rice for our family with this amount," said Anjana Bhuyian, 50. "A wage of one day can't buy a liter of edible oil. How can we then even think about our nutrition, medication, or children's education?" she told AFP.

Unions are demanding an increase to 300 takas a day, with inflation rising and the currency depreciating and said that workers in the country's 232 tea gardens began a full-scale strike on Saturday, after four days of two-hour stoppages.

"Nearly 150,000 tea workers have joined the strike today," said Sitaram Bin, a committee member of the Bangladesh Tea Workers' Union. "No tea worker will pluck tea leaves or work in the leaf processing plants as long as the authority doesn't pay heed to our demands," he told AFP.

Researchers say tea workers who live in some of the country's most remote areas have been systematically exploited by the industry for decades.

"Tea workers are like modern-day slaves," said Philip Gain, director of the Society for Environment and Human Development, a research group, that has written books on tea workers. "The plantation owners have hijacked the minimum wage authorities and kept the wages some of the lowest in the world."

Figuring among the poorest nations in the world, Bangladesh has for long been seen as a free-for-all for international capital. The ruling gangsters do not care for the lives and working conditions of ordinary people.

The result is a long list of tragedies in Bangladesh’s recent history, in which the lives of workers were carelessly put at risk.

The Dhaka Tribute reported in 2022 that no less than 2,000 workers have died in 26 fires over the last 20 years.

Only last year, Bangladeshi child laborers were burned alive in a factory fire.

More than 1,100 garment workers were killed in the 2013 Rana Plaza building collapse – the deadliest industrial accident in Bangladesh’s history – and they still have not been given proper justice.

Ukraine's Zelensky had described the situation in Peski as “just hell”

Russian forces have established complete control over the strategic settlement of Peski in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Russia’s Defense Ministry has said.

“As a result of the offensive by the allied forces [Russian troops and DPR militia] the settlement of Peski has been fully liberated”from the Ukrainian military, the ministry’s spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov announced during his daily briefing on Saturday.

Peski, located some 2km away from the Donetsk Airport, has been one of the main pillars of Ukraine’s elaborate defense line in the DPR.

The settlement had been heavily fortified since 2015. A DPR militia commander told Russia’s Channel One last week that the area had been turned into “literally one big garrison,” from which all civilians were evacuated long ago. All buildings in Peski are surrounded by trenches, while Ukrainian defenses had been set up in “according to NATO standards,” he pointed out.

The joint operation to seize the settlement began in late July and saw intense fighting and artillery shelling. In early August, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky described the situation in Peski and nearby Avdeevka by saying that “it’s just hell there. It can’t even be described in words.”

Meanwhile, strikes against Kiev’s forces and military infrastructure continued in other parts of Ukraine over the past 24 hours, Konashenkov said.

Among other things, a HIMARS multiple rocket launcher and a warehouse that stored munitions for it were destroyed near the town of Kramatorsk in the DPR, according to the spokesman.

More than a hundred Ukrainian troops and members of the nationalist Right Sector group were also killedin a strike near the village of Starye Terny in the DPR, Konashenkov added.

Radicals from the Right Sector played a key role during the violent coup in Kiev in 2014 and subsequently took an active part in the fighting in Donbass over the next two years.

Kiev is flirting with disaster by shelling the hydroelectric facility that services the Zaporozhye nuclear plant, says a local official

Shelling of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station by Ukrainian forces risks a “nuclear catastrophe” at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, Arseniy Zelensky, the Kakhovka facility's deputy director for reconstruction, told reporters on Saturday.

According to Zelensky, as quoted by TASS, Kakhovka is now operating in a “very dangerous” emergency mode.

The Kakhovka plant is located in Kherson Region in southern Ukraine, which was seized by Russian forces in the early stages of Moscow’s military operation. Together with Russia-controlled Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, the biggest in Europe, it has been attacked by Kiev’s troops – with use of Western-supplied weapons – according to the regional authorities.

“In case of problems with the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station, there will be big troubles at the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. [This] could lead to a nuclear catastrophe,” the deputy director of the Kakhovka plant said.

He explained to journalists that if the dam is destroyed, the nuclear facility would be deprived of the water needed to cool its reactors.

He revealed that the station has been working in emergency mode “since the first days of hostilities.”

“The station's own needs, backup 6 kV, are lost, we are working in a very dangerous mode," he said, adding that one of the turbines had to be turned off following Ukrainian rocket attacks.

If the military action ceases, Zelensky said, the plant can be “restored within a week.”

“Fortunately, the station has not yet received major damage, except for hydroelectric unit number three, which burned down in March, it takes 1.5 years to complete the work,” he said.

Zelensky’s remarks came the day after Kirill Stremousov, the deputy head of the military-civilian administration of Kherson Region, revealed that the city of Novaya Kakhovka had again been attacked by “Ukrainian nationalists” but “no tangible damage” was caused. “The hydroelectric power station was not damaged,” he said.

On Thursday, Russia’s Ambassador to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia, told the Security Council that a nuclear disaster can happen “at any moment” amid the “reckless” shelling of the Zaporozhye plant by Kiev’s forces.

“Kiev’s criminal attacks on the nuclear infrastructure facilities are pushing the world to the brink of a nuclear disaster that would rival the Chernobyl one,” Nebenzia said.

Responding to Kiev’s claims that Russia was the one targeting the plant in an alleged plot to discredit Ukraine, the diplomat said that Russia has no reason to target the facility or its own troops, and that multiple attacks on the facility have been documented from Ukrainian-held territory in Dnepropetrovsk Region.

The US Department of State, however, took Kiev’s side by endorsing the demand for a demilitarized zone around the Zaporozhye nuclear plant and calling for the withdrawal of Russian troops that control the area.

The US needs to start respecting Moscow’s interests before damaged bilateral relations can be amended, a senior Russian diplomat has said.

“I’ll be frank: we’re not seeing grounds for finding compromises with Washington, which is not quite capable of negotiating,” Aleksandr Darchiev, the head of the Foreign Ministry’s North American Department, told the Russian news agency TASS on Saturday.

“Of course, if the American side finally turns to common sense and Washington takes a sober look at the changing geopolitical landscape, demonstrating – not with words, but with actions – the intent to respect Russian national interests, then a basis for a gradual normalization of bilateral relations will appear,”he added.

The US and its allies in NATO imposed sweeping sanctions on Moscow after Russia launched its military operation in Ukraine in late February.

However, the attempt to tank the Russian economy has failed, Darchiev argued, as have “the attempts to muster an international anti-Russian coalition that would be broader than the traditional bond between the US and its vassals.”

“We are reacting calmly, and not going out of our way to seek talks,” the diplomat said, adding that it was Washington’s decision to suspend wider contacts with Moscow since February.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his US counterpart Antony Blinken spoke over the phone in late July, their first conversation since Russia’s military campaign began.

The conversation occurred around the same time the US Senate unanimously passed a non-binding resolution that called for the State Department to designate Russia a state sponsor of terrorism. The Kremlin said that such a move would only further strain the relations between the countries.

So why do officials want to keep the identities of the men who took it secret for another 50 years?

On August 4, 1990, two young men were working as chefs in a hotel in Pitlochry, a beautiful Highland Perthshire town, just outside the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland.

At 9pm, after a long day in a hot kitchen, they drove about 13 miles north along the A9 to Calvine, a spot on the edge of the Cairngorms, for a walk in the hills.

They hadn’t gone far when they saw a huge, solid, diamond-shaped object, about 100ft long, hovering silently in the sky above them. Terrified, they hid in some bushes and looked up.

Minutes later, they heard the scream of a jet aircraft going north: In 1990, RAF Leuchars in Fife had two squadrons of Tornado fighters on 24-hour standby to intercept Russian intruder aircraft.

The jet came back and circled the ‘thing’ before heading off on its original course, as if the pilot had seen the object too and had come back for a closer look.

Eventually the two men stuck their camera out from where they were hiding and fired off six frames. At that point, the object shot vertically upwards and disappeared way, way up in to the sky.

Convinced they’d just seen a UFO, they took their photos to the Daily Record, one of Scotland’s leading newspapers. But no story was ever printed: The paper passed the pictures on to the Ministry of Defence.

And then, the photographs simply vanished — along with the two young chefs.

Until now. Here, for the first time, we can reveal that missing picture — a photograph one MoD insider described as the most spectacular UFO picture ever captured, and the Holy Grail in terms of hard evidence that these things really exist.

It’s a picture the MoD and The National Archives have tried their utmost to keep hidden. While the information would normally have been released after 30 years, the Ministry has not released the original photo and wants the names of the witnesses sealed for a further 54 years — until 2076 — because of ‘privacy concerns’.

As a university lecturer and investigative reporter who’s spent three decades immersed in the world of UFOlogy, I heard the story of the mysterious ‘Calvine file’ — as the missing photo and report of that incident at Calvine came to be known — many moons ago and have devoted the past 13 years doggedly searching for the images the men took.

What happened to the file, the men who pictured the UFO and how and why its very existence has been suppressed for 32 years, was a puzzle I was determined to crack. Wherever I searched for answers, however, I found insiders blocking my inquiries — until I struck lucky and found retired RAF officer Craig Lindsay, the first official to speak to one of the young chefs after that night.

He was willing to talk to me and, most exciting of all, I discovered that he’d broken protocol that day and stashed a copy of the image before, on Whitehall’s orders, sending the entire dossier — negatives included — to the Ministry of Defence in London.

He’d kept the secret copy in his desk for 32 years — hidden inside his copy of Great Aircraft Of The World. When I eventually tracked him down, now 83 and still living in Scotland, he sounded almost relieved.

‘I have been for waiting for someone to contact about this for more than 30 years,’ he said.

So, what do I make of it? The moment Craig showed the photograph to me I knew I was looking at something exceptional. Yes, it is a black and white image, printed on colour paper, and the trees and fence look a little blurry, as if the photographer took it in a moment of panic — which is consistent with their story. But the camera is focused on the weird diamond shaped object in the centre of the frame. Unlike many other UFO images, this is clearly a structured craft of unknown origin. It looks other-worldly and unlike any conventional aircraft.

And it is by far the best UFO photograph I have ever seen.

Without bogging us down in too many technical details, suffice it to say that this is a big deal. Or at least it might be at some point. Scientists and engineers have been working on a way to build a workable fusion reactor for decades. A fusion reactor is quite different than the fission nuclear reactors you see around the world today. But there are enormous challenges involved in taking the fusion process from the hypothetical realm and creating a functional reactor capable of producing electricity for our energy grid.
