ATLANTA (AP) — Prosecutors in Atlanta on Monday told lawyers for Rudy Giuliani that he’s a target of their criminal investigation into possible illegal attempts by then-President Donald Trump and others to interfere in the 2020 general election in Georgia.

Special prosecutor Nathan Wade alerted Giuliani’s local attorney in Atlanta that the former New York City mayor could face criminal charges, another Giuliani attorney, Robert Costello, said. News of the disclosure was first reported by The New York Times.

The revelation that Giuliani, a lawyer for Trump, is a target of the investigation by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis edges the probe closer to the former president. Willis has said she is considering calling Trump himself to testify before the special grand jury, and the former president has hired a criminal defense attorney in Atlanta.

Law enforcement scrutiny of Trump’s actions is escalating. Last week, the FBI searched his Florida home as part of an investigation into whether he took classified records from the White House to Mar-a-Lago. He is also facing a civil investigation in New York over allegations that his company, the Trump Organization, misled banks and tax authorities about the value of his assets. And the Justice Department is investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol by Trump supporters and efforts to overturn the election he falsely claimed was stolen.

The New York Times frames the newest version of the ‘case against Trump.’ This is technically update 4.0, from the original 2015/2016 targeting effort. Version 2.0 was Robert Mueller. Version 3.0 was the impeachment revision built upon 1.0 and 2.0.

In the latest update, 4.0 carries the same intent but a modified and expanded design.

Yes, political lawfare is corrupt, horrible and infuriating. However, at the end of the day it is based on weak arguments and fear.

The problem they face against Trump is simple. In 2020 President Trump earned 75 million votes in the election. 75 million. How can they duplicate the election fraud to defeat 75 million voters, without the benefit of covid mail-in ballots?

That’s their problem. They cannot defeat him or us.

They must remove President Trump because he/we represent an existential threat.

They will fail…

Radical Marxist Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón dodged recall efforts after Los Angeles County banned observers from monitoring the recall vote count.

Observers were not allowed to monitor the vote counting in the effort to recall George Gascón.

The Gascón recall petition was approved in January after the residents of Los Angeles had enough of the Soros DA’s soft-on-crime policies.

But there was a catch…

The Los Angeles County Registrar of Voters said observers are only allowed in standard elections and the recall does not qualify.

On Monday the Los Angeles County registrar announced that the recall efforts failed because not enough *valid* signatures were collected.

According to the LA County Registrar, 520,050 signatures were valid and 195,783 were not valid.

During the Georgia recount in the November 2020 election, The Gateway Pundit reported that Floyd County came under tremendous scrutiny from the state’s voting system manager, Gabriel Sterling when they allegedly “found” approximately 2600 votes. The error was immediately written off as a failure to upload a machine’s memory cards. According to Sterling, “it’s not an equipment issue. It’s a person not executing their job properly. This is the kind of situation that requires a change at the top of their management side.”

While Sterling was saying on November 16, 2020 that it was a memory card that wasn’t uploaded, the officials that were in the Floyd County elections offices on November 17, 2020 said they didn’t think it was a memory card and that they could “rule out a memory card that wasn’t scanned”, as they confirmed this assertion amongst themselves. The Dominion reps in the background of course had no comment, but did not refute the officials that ruled out the memory card.

Ironically, the same “missing memory card” excuse has happened in several other locations during the recount. And again in the 2021 election in Dekalb County. And again in the 2022 primary election in Fulton County. Perhaps a more logical explanation is in order. Standby.

In the military, if a junior officer or NCO fails to “execute their job properly”, you could potentially chalk it up as a mistake. If more than two have the same failure, there is perhaps a top down leadership issue. If it happens consistently, year after year after year, it’s time to scratch the entire system and call into question any results derived from that system. (It’s also worth noting that a ranking officer who falsely throws his lieutenants and captains under the bus in the name of self-preservation is among the lowest life forms in existence)

WILMINGTON, Del (Reuters) – Twitter Inc needs to give Elon Musk documents from a former Twitter executive who Musk said was a key figure in calculating the amount of fake accounts on the platform, according to a Monday court order.

Bot and spam accounts on Twitter have become a central issue in the legal fight over whether Musk, who is Tesla Inc’s chief executive, must complete his $44 billion acquisition of the social media company.

Twitter was ordered to collect, review and produce documents from former General Manager of Consumer Product Kayvon Beykpour, according to the order from Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick of the Delaware Court of Chancery.

Twitter and lawyers for Musk, the world’s richest person, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Beykpour, who left Twitter after the social media company agreed in April to be acquired by Musk, was described in Musk’s court filings as one of the executives “most intimately involved with” determining the amount of spam accounts.

Beykpour did not immediately respond to a request for comment sent through LinkedIn.

McCormick said in her order on Monday that she was denying Musk’s request for access to 21 other people with control over relevant information.

Musk’s legal team had written to McCormick last week asking her to order Twitter to hand over employee names so they could be questioned.

Musk accused Twitter earlier this month of fraud for misrepresenting the number of real active users on its platform, which Twitter has denied. The company has accused him of breaching his agreement to acquire the company and wants McCormick to order him to complete the deal at $54.20 a share.

Twitter’s stock closed up 0.5% at $44.50 per share on Monday.

Dr. Theresa Long, medical officer with the United States military, has testified in court that she was ordered by a superior to suppress Covid-19 vaccine injuries following the Biden regime’s mandate.

Dr. Long also testified that the data is showing that deaths of military members from the vaccines exceed deaths from COVID-19 itself.

The DoD downplayed Dr. Long’s conclusions, saying the increase in vaccine injuries was caused by a “glitch in the database.”

During the all-day hearing, Liberty Counsel presented compelling testimony from the Navy Commander of a surface warship and three military flight surgeons, Lt. Col. Peter Chambers, Lt. Col. Teresa Long and Col. (Ret.) Stewart Tankersley, M.D. In contrast, the DOD declined to present witnesses.

Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel Mat Staver said in an interview with the Blaze’s Daniel Horowitz that there have been three hearings in this case, and the DoD has not yet offered a single witness. Instead of witnesses, the government “sends these declarations,” Staver explained. He said the judge has urged them to bring live witnesses to court so they can be cross examined, but they just refuse to do it. “So they send these declarations that some JAG attorney writes, and somebody in the military signs off on them.”

Staver said that the information the DoD has been presenting in court is “outdated, wrong, and would really be subject to dismantling under cross examination.” He added that cross examinations of his witnesses have only made their case stronger. “So they really don’t have anything to cross examine our witnesses with,” he said.

Staver told Horowitz that Judge Merryday has chastised the DoD lawyers during the hearings, telling them they have “a frail case,” and are “acting as though they are above the law.”

Dr. Theresa Long, a flight surgeon who holds a master’s degree in Public Health and is specially trained in the DMED, gave emotional testimony on March 10.

She and two other flight surgeons reviewed DMED last year and made some stunning discoveries about the high incidence of apparent vaccine injuries among members of the military.

According to the whistleblowers, certain disorders spiked after the vaccine mandate went into effect, including miscarriages and cancers, and neurological problems which increased by 1000 percent.

Dr. Long testified that she was contacted by high level officer the night before the hearing, and told not to discuss her findings regarding the explosive military medical data in court. The whistleblower reportedly said she felt threatened after she tried to get her superiors to address the findings, “fearing for her life and for the safety of her children.”...

President Donald Trump’s claim that his “passports” were seized in the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago last week could have major legal implications for any investigation into him: it could mean his Fourth Amendment rights were violated in the search.

As Breitbart News reported earlier Monday, former President Trump announced on Truth Social: “In the raid by the FBI of Mar-a-Lago, they stole my three Passports (one expired), along with everything else. This is an assault on a political opponent at a level never seen before in our Country. Third World!”

The unusual — and perhaps accidental — taking of Trump’s passports could mean that the Department of Justice (DOJ) would be unable to use at least some of the materials seized in the the raid in any prosecution of the former president. Already, it has risked violating his Sixth Amendment rights by seizing materials that may including privileged attorney-client communications, which are meant to be shielded from investigations.

The Fourth Amendment reads:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Typically, an individual’s passport would not be subject to seizure unless there were reason to believe he or she was a flight risk. An order authorizing the seizure of a passport would have to be approved by a court in most circumstances.

The search warrant under which FBI agents conducted the raid, with the approval of Attorney General Merrick Garland, does not list Trump’s passports as within the scope of the search; nor does it list the passports in the property register of seized items.

Trump could make a reasonable case in court that his Fourth Amendment rights have been violated, forcing the return of his passports, at the very least. A finding that the search exceeded the warrant could also affect its future use in court. However, the Department of Justice would still likely try to use information it obtained in the search to guide other investigations. The Trump team, or whoever was targeted in those investigations, would have to convince a court to exclude that subsequent evidence as “fruit of the poisonous tree” — i.e. information that was obtained only as a result of a violation of civil rights.

It is unclear which “passports” Trump has — whether a regular U.S. passport and a diplomatic one, or a foreign passport in addition to his U.S. passport. Trump’s grandfather was born in Germany, theoretically qualifying him for an EU passport.

WASHINGTON — U.S. intelligence overheard al-Qaeda operatives discussing a major pending terrorist attack in the weeks prior to Sept. 11 and had agents inside the terror group, but the intercepts and field reports didn't specify where or when a strike might occur, according to U.S. officials. The disclosures add to a growing body of evidence to be examined in congressional hearings that open today into how the CIA, FBI and other agencies failed to seize on intelligence pointing to the deadliest terror attack in U.S. history.

Some of the clues lie buried in 350,000 pages of documents turned over by the CIA for the hearings:

Reports discussing the possibility of suicide bombings, plots to fly planes into buildings and strikes against the Pentagon, World Trade Center and other high-profile targets.

Electronic intercepts as late as Sept. 10 of al-Qaeda members speaking cryptically of a major attack. Two U.S. intelligence officials, paraphrasing highly classified intercepts, say they include such remarks as, "Good things are coming," "Watch the news" and "Tomorrow will be a great day for us."

Dispatches from agents who infiltrated al-Qaeda and its Taliban allies. The operatives could not crack the tightly held secret of the Sept. 11 plot but helped underscore the lengths al-Qaeda was willing to go to inflict pain on the United States.

After two weeks of pummeling the FBI for its failures, lawmakers are shifting their focus to the CIA. "The enemy is overseas. The first place to stop the enemy is overseas," House Intelligence Chairman Porter Goss said in an interview.

President Bush has avoided criticizing the CIA and FBI. But on Monday, he suggested that they need to improve. "In this new war, against this shadowy enemy, it's very important that we gather as much intelligence as we can," Bush said.

One U.S. intelligence official describes the clues collected before the attacks as needles in a haystack. Others say the unheeded warnings add up to a fundamental failure by intelligence agencies to alert the nation to approaching danger from abroad.

The prevailing view on Capitol Hill is that U.S. intelligence had the goods and blew it by failing to recognize and connect warning signs. "If they had acted on the information they had and followed through, maybe things would be different," says Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., ranking Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee.

The other, perhaps more worrisome, conclusion is that despite all their resources, key agencies had no clear warning of what was to come.

The hearings begin behind closed doors, as the House and Senate Intelligence panels jointly discuss what information can be aired. CIA director George Tenet and FBI Director Robert Mueller are sure to face grillings later this month. Other witnesses will include CIA and FBI field operatives and analysts who handled some of the information on the al-Qaeda threat.

The intercepts of conversations are in 13,000 pages of material from the National Security Agency, the nation's eavesdropping service, U.S. officials say. Two U.S. intelligence officials said some were translated and analyzed before Sept. 11. Others went unread until later because of a shortage of translators.

And, likewise, the emails show that the Clinton Machine is so closely and irrevocably tied to media organizations that she is given the questions and answers in advance of her debates. Clinton is also given approval and veto power over quotes written about her in the New York Times. And the emails show the reporters collaborate and conspire directly with the Clinton Campaign on helping her win the election.

With their control over our government at stake, with trillions of dollars on the line, the Clinton Machine is determined to achieve the destruction of our campaign, which has now become a movement the likes of which our country has never seen before – and we won’t let them do that.

CIA, Pompeo Sued For Allegedly Spying On US Attorneys And Journalists Who Met With Assange

A group of journalists and lawyers, who visited WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange while he was living under political asylum in the Ecuadorian embassy, sued the CIA and former CIA director Mike Pompeo. They allege that the agency under Pompeo spied on them in violation of their privacy rights.

Undercover Global S.L., a private security company in Spain, and the company’s director David Morales are also named as defendants. UC Global ramped up surveillance against Assange and shared audio and video footage from the embassy with “American intelligence.”

“The United States Constitution shields American citizens from US government overreach even when the activities take place in a foreign embassy in a foreign country. Visitors who are lawyers, journalists and doctors frequently carry confidential information in their devices,” declared Richard Roth, who is the lead attorney representing the plaintiffs.

“They had a reasonable expectation that the security guards at the Ecuadorian embassy in London would not be US government spies charged with delivering copies of their electronics to the CIA,” Roth added.

Two of the plaintiffs are attorneys who have represented Assange—Margaret Rather Kunstler, a civil rights activist and human rights attorney, and Deborah Hrbek, a media lawyer.

The other two plaintiffs are journalists Charles Glass and John Goetz, who worked for Der Spiegel when the German media organization first partnered with WikiLeaks to publish documents on the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.

The lawsuit comes around two months after United Kingdom Home Secretary Priti Patel approved the US extradition request against Assange. His legal team has submitted two separate appeals in the UK courts, yet it is increasingly evident that Assange could be flown to the US to face Espionage Act charges that civil liberties, human rights, and press freedom organizations around the world have condemned.

According to the complaint [PDF] filed in a US court in the Southern District of New York, Glass, Goetz, Hrbek, and Kunstler, like all visitors, were required to “surrender” their electronic devices to UC Global employees hired by Ecuador to provide security for the embassy. What they did not know is that UC Global “copied the information stored on the devices” and allegedly shared the information with the CIA. Pompeo allegedly authorized and approved the action.

Security required plaintiffs to leave their devices with them, which contained “confidential and privileged information about their sources or clients. This information was copied and allegedly shared with the CIA.

It is estimated that “well over 100 American citizens who visited Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy” had their privacy rights violated. This includes attorneys who were there to represent Assange, journalists who traveled to interview him, and even doctors who came to the embassy to assess and treat his deteriorating health. Their privileged communications stored on electronic devices were compromised.

The CIA-backed spying operation began around January 2017 and lasted until UC Global’s contract was terminated around April 2018. By that time, the Justice Department under President Donald Trump already had a sealed indictment against Assange.

Pompeo allegedly approved the placement of hidden microphones in new cameras at the embassy. He allegedly approved bugging the embassy with hidden microphones. He allegedly signed off on a plan to allow the CIA to “observe and listen to Assange’s daily activities at the embassy.”

In the 2019 video at around the 16 minute 20 sec mark, a UN representative refers to gender inequality as being “This global pandemic that effects all countries”. Donald Trump’s legal team demolished the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) media spin that denied having the former president’s passports in their possession following the FBI’s raid on Mar-a-Lago last week.

On Monday, former President Trump claimed on his social media site TruthSocial that the FBI “stole” his passports during the raid that shook the political world last week.

“In the raid by the FBI of Mar-a-Lago, they stole my three Passports (one expired), along with everything else,” he said. “This is an assault on a political opponent at a level never seen before in our Country. Third World!”

As Breitbart News noted, the passports were “not independently itemized on the FBI’s property receipt of the 28 inventory items federal agents seized.”

“The warrant, which Attorney General Merrick Garland says he approved and was signed by Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart, did not state that they could take Trump’s passport,” the report noted. “Typically, the government needs a separate court order to seize someone’s passport, even temporarily.”

According to Norah O’Donnell of CBS News, a DOJ official said the former president’s passports were in their possession, one of which presumably would have been a diplomatic passport.

“According to a DOJ official, the FBI is NOT in possession of former President Trump’s passports. Trump had accused the FBI of stealing his three passports during the search of his Mar-a-Lago home,” O’Donnell announced on Monday.

Shortly after Norah’s post, Taylor Budowich, the former president’s communications director, shared an email from Jay Bratt, the top counterintelligence official in the Justice Department’s national security division, confirming that three passports were seized in the raid and that they would be returned to the former president soon.

“We have learned that the filter agents seized three passports belonging to President Trump, two expired and one being his active diplomatic passport. We are returning them, and they will be ready for pick up at WFO at 2 PM today,” the email to Trump’s attorneys read.

Speaking to Fox News on Monday, Donald Trump warned about the “tremendous anger” brewing in the country following the raid on his private residence.

“There has never been a time like this where law enforcement has been used to break into the house of a former president of the United States, and there is tremendous anger in the country—at a level that has never been seen before, other than during very perilous times,” Trump said.

President Joe Biden is planning to extend his vacation this week after he wraps up his time on Kiawah Island in South Carolina.

According to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) data cited by the Associated Press, Biden plans to be in Wilmington, Delaware, from Tuesday until Friday after he leaves Kiawah Island.

The White House has not released a schedule of the president’s vacation but announced that Biden will return to Washington, DC, on Tuesday to sign the so-called “Inflation Reduction Act of 2022” before leaving again. The $430 billion bill raises taxes to spend more on government-controlled health care and subsidizes green energy.

The White House plans a separate celebration of the bill signing in September with members of Congress.

The president has enjoyed a relaxed August after spending two weeks in quarantine during his long battle with the coronavirus.

He spent a weekend at his beach home in Delaware before working for two and half days at the White House and leaving for his week in Kiawah Island.

Biden was spotted Sunday riding his bike cautiously on the beach with Secret Service but refused to answer any questions from the press.

He has not answered any questions from reporters since the FBI’s controversial raid on former President Donald Trump.

The White House expressed concerns in a publicly released memo this week that previous presidents typically face a “slump” in August, outlining a plan to prevent the “momentum killer” and turn it into a “momentum builder.”

A second attempt to recall Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón failed Monday after officials announced that there were not enough signatures to qualify the recall for the ballot, after observers were excluded from the count.

The recall effort gathered 715,833 signatures — far more than the 566,857 needed, representing 10% of registered voters in the county. However, county officials announced the they had eliminated nearly 200,000 of the signatures that were submitted.

“520,050 signatures were found to be valid and 195,783 were found to be invalid,” the county registrar said in a statement (emphasis removed). “To qualify the recall for the [November 2022] ballot, the petition required 566,857 signatures; therefore, the petition has failed to meet the sufficiency requirements and no further action shall be taken on the petition.”

Though the county rejected less than 1% of mail-in ballots in the 2020 election, Los Angeles County officials said they found that nearly 30% of signatures on petitions to recall the unpopular district attorney were invalid or could not count.

The petition fell short by 46,807 signatures — a margin that would have been covered by the sum of signatures rejected because of an address mismatch (32,187), because of a signature mismatch (9,490), and because of “other” reasons (5,374).

Throughout the process of signature validation, proponents of the recall complained that they were not permitted to observe the count. The county said observers would not be allowed because signature verification did not quality as an “election.”

Gascón was elected in 2020 on a platform of criminal justice “reform” with support from the Black Lives Matter movement, the Democratic Party establishment, and millions of dollars in spending by left-wing billionaire donor George Soros.

He quickly provoked public outrage by easing penalties for crimes — even violent crimes, such as multiple homicide and sexual assault. Gascón’s tenure has coincided with a crime surge in the country, for which many people blame his policies.

A first attempt to recall him in 2021 fell short of the number of required signatures. A second attempt appeared to have more than enough signatures by the July 6 deadline; however, even the cushion of nearly 200,000 signatures was not enough.

Florida’s Indian River County School District has added an AR-15 to every school so students returning to class in the fall will have school resource officers who can access rifles in the event of an attack.

WFLA reports that Indian River County Sheriff Eric Flowers said, “If they’re coming at us with an AR-15, we’re going to return with the same or greater firepower.”

Flowers told CBS 12 News that having the AR-15s in the school saves time in the event of an attack by saving resource officers from having to run out to their cars to retrieve a rifle.

He said, “If something were to happen during [the school day], they would have ready access to that AR-15 and their shield to be able to respond immediately.”

Breitbart News noted that Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey announced last week that officers in county schools will carry long guns and will be prepared to “meet violence with violence” and win the day in case of a school attack.

Florida Today quoted Ivey saying, “You are not coming into my schools and killing our children.”

The meetings contradict Joe Biden’s statement that he has not been involved in the Biden family business schemes. In fact, a total of seven times Biden and his team have deflected or denied involvement in the family business. “I’ve never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” Joe Biden said.

A number of Biden family allies were also brought in on the deal to help Popoviciu escape conviction, according to the Post. But Popoviciu was still convicted and sentenced to seven years in prison. Popoviciu has not served time. Instead, he fled to England where the Romanian government is trying to extradite him.

The Biden allies deployed to help Popoviciu include Mark Gitenstein, a former Obama administration transition official and former ambassador to Romania, former FBI director Louis Freeh, and Eric Schwerin, president of Hunter Biden’s investment firm Rosemont Seneca Partners. According to Hunter Biden’s laptop, Gitenstein and Freeh spoke with Hunter Biden multiple times around the time Hunter met with Joe Biden at the Naval Observatory.

“A person familiar with the arrangements told The Post the president’s son had a side pocket agreement directly with Popoviciu that raked in ‘millions’ for himself and associates,” the Post’s Jon Levine reported.

It is not the first time Joe Biden conducted family business meetings in the White House as vice president. Joe Biden reportedly met at the White House two Chinese energy executives who worked with a CCP-linked company, Wanxiang, on July 25, 2014, between 11 a.m. and 12.15 p.m., emails from Hunter’s laptop reveal.

The documentation on the laptop shows Joe Biden has been involved in the family business at least 19 times over nine years. According to a Harris poll, 58 percent of voters believe that Joe Biden has played a role in his family’s business. Sixty percent say Hunter Biden has sold “influence and access” to the president.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) exclusively revealed to Breitbart News in August that House Republicans are gearing up to investigate the Biden family business with the possible creation of a select committee after the GOP likely reclaims the House in midterm elections. Rep. Val Demings’ (D-FL) security detail reportedly shoved a man to the ground outside of a Demings campaign event, according to a video obtained by Florida Politics.

The man who was pushed in the video is a Demings campaign tracker who tried to observe a campaign meet and greet held at a park in Mims, Florida.

The man appears to have a rapport with Demings’ security team as he engaged in conversation with two guards before they ultimately pushed him down to the ground, according to two video clips.

“He can’t get past,” one guard reportedly said before making physical contact with the man as he tried to enter Demings’ public meet and greet.

“What are you doing?” the campaign tracker asked as the guards moved closer toward him.

The video clip shows one guard grabbing the man by the leg until he fell to the ground, and the guard continued to hold him down by his leg.

The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is reportedly investigating the incident that occurred on Monday.

Demings’ campaign chose not to condemn its security detail, instead claiming the man “charged” at the security guards.

“Security officials take potential threats and threatening behavior toward the Chief seriously. In this instance the individual did not respond to multiple requests to leave and charged at security personnel in pursuit of Chief Demings’ approaching vehicle,” Demings campaign communications director Christina Slater said.

The man who was pushed went to the hospital where he was treated for “minor scrapes and bruises,” according to Florida Politics.

In a second clip, the campaign tracker had a conversation with the security guards in which he told them, “I’m just doing my job. That’s it. I’ve been good to you guys.”

“I’ve been so good, and y’all are just being ridiculous sometimes. I just want to be even keel,” the man reportedly said.

“Moving forward don’t take it personal,” the security guard appeared to say in the video.

“Take what personal?” the tracker responded.

“What’s going to happen to you,” the security guard responded.

The two security guards are reportedly the executive protection officer and vice president of Ardent Protection, a security firm Demings’ campaign has given over $17,000 to since May, Federal Election Commission filings show.

Rep. Demings hopes to earn her party’s nomination in Florida’s U.S. Senate primary on August 23, where she will go on to face Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) if successful.

Stacks of mail accidentally left in a hotel room led to the arrest of three crooked Queens postal carriers — and unraveled a multimillion-dollar fraud scheme, officials say.

The group’s alleged ringleader forgot the damning evidence when she was forced to change rooms at the Yonkers hotel and then scurried to retrieve it but was too late, authorities said, according to the Journal News on Monday.

The scheme involved a COVID-19 benefits scam, law-enforcement officials said.

The alleged corrupt mail carriers – Oscar Abreu, Rafael Grullon and Aldo Palomino Jr. – became wrapped up in the illicit caper in 2020, when the ringleader approached Abreu and asked him to steal mail from the New York Department of Labor along his postal route, according to federal prosecutors.

Abreau initially accepted $200 for each piece of mail he swiped but later squeezed his criminal bosses for $500 per parcel, according to a complaint unsealed last week.

The accused postal worker recruited Grullon and Palomino Jr. to help steal pieces of mail as the scheme continued, according to the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

The alleged ringleader, Yohauris Rodriguez Hernandez, had been helping to file bogus unemployment-benefit claims in the names of hundreds of people, officials said. When payouts from the Department of Labor were then mailed off to the unsuspecting people, the mail carriers intercepted them along their routes, according to federal authorities.

The ring filed more than 500 unemployment-benefit claims worth more than $16 million-plus — with payouts totaling over $3 million, authorities said.

The enterprise unraveled when Hernandez and another suspect left hundreds of pieces of mail from the Department of Labor behind in a Yonkers hotel room, according to the feds.

The pair had requested to extend their stay in the room but were told it was already booked, the outlet said.

It feels like old times. In the wake of the FBI raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club, the mainstream media are in a feeding frenzy the likes of which we haven’t seen since he exited the White House.The usual suspects, like The New York Times and Washington Post,which spent the four years of Trump’s presidency consistently and spectacularly beclowning themselves, are at it again.

Dare we say that it has “all the hallmarks” of media incompetence?

Take The Washington Post: Using its signature anonymous single-source style, it broke the alleged news that Trump was in possession of documents “related to nuclear weapons.” What exactly does that mean? Honestly, based on Post’s coverage of Russiagate, when so many “bombshells” fizzled when the details emerged, you have to wonder if it’s the White House pastry chef’s recipe for nuclear chocolate cake.

The Times, meanwhile, informs us that Trump sought to send a secret message to Attorney General Merrick Garland, this according to — wait for it — “a person familiar with the exchange.” A person. This is basically the journalistic equivalent of “My cousin’s girlfriend knows a guy.”

Could these juicy details rushed into print turn out to be true? Maybe. Do the American people have good reason to believe they aren’t true given the recent track record of the liberal press? Absolutely.

After all, we watched these selfsame media treat the farcical Steele dossier like it was the fifth gospel and spend years clinging to the Russian-collusion hoax. We watched them not only bury the Hunter Biden laptop story just days before the 2020 election but smear the journalists who broke that very real story as dupes promoting Russian disinformation.

This print first, ask questions later approach is why Gallup found a record-low 16% of Americans have “a great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in newspapers and just 11% do in TV news. There are probably communicable diseases that are more popular than the news media at this point. Back in 2014, before Trump broke the brains and standards of everyone with a journalism-school degree, both those questions had media trust about 10 points higher.

For seven years every story, big and small, has been treated like it might be the one that finally breaks the dam, that makes Republicans far and wide denounce Trump, makes his voters feel pangs of shame and maybe even leads to the perp-walk fantasy that never seems to die.

And it’s not just about Trump. When the Jussie Smollett hoax and the Nicholas Sandmann slander took place, the CNNs and MSNBCs of the world didn’t hesitate or gather facts, they leapt feet first into the narrative that these stories were evidence of the evil racism so supposedly pervasive in our society. Then the stories collapsed.

Sometimes it feels like we are minutes away from our legacy newspapers manipulating the weather report to push climate alarmism or the baseball standings to promote equity among the ball clubs.

Team Biden’s proposed new Title IX regulations make it clear: They’re coming for your children.

The administration ostensibly drafted the rules to protect gay and transgender students from bullying and harassment, but they do nothing of the sort. In reality, President Joe Biden is handing teachers a weapon to subvert parental prerogatives.

Title IX is a simple statute that outlaws “sex discrimination” in education. It says nothing about “gender” or “gender identity.” But the Biden administration wants to put its own spin on the law and redefine “sex” to include these categories.

This change has far-reaching implications. One is that it will be used to keep parents in the dark on everything from curricular material to the fact that a child is socially transitioning at school.

Because this new Title IX frames gender ideology as an anti-discrimination issue, schools won’t have to seek parental permission for children to participate in lessons on choosing and changing one’s sex. Indeed, schools will very likely use Title IX’s anti-discrimination mandate to justify denying parental opt-outs from these controversial lessons.

The rules will also grant children an absolute right to use school facilities and participate in activities “consistent with their gender identity,” regardless of whether their parents agree or are even aware of said identity.

A mother in Washington state, for example, told me school officials asked her 11-year-old daughter if she wanted to stay in the boys’ cabin on an upcoming field trip without talking to the mother first. The regulations will give legal backing for such actions all across the country.

In many places, schools are already claiming legal authority to socially transition children without parental consent or knowledge. In Alaska, one school used Title IX as a justification for changing a child’s name and pronouns without telling her mother. Officials then revised every single school document, other than those sent to the parents, to reflect the child’s chosen male name. That name even appeared in the yearbook. When the mother found out and protested, school officials said she had no say over the matter — because of Title IX.

Perhaps most alarming is the way in which officials might use the rules to threaten parents who don’t affirm their child’s chosen identity. Because the regulations claim to apply to conduct that occurs “outside [the school’s] education program or activity or outside the United States,” schools might get the impression they can label parental conduct at home “discriminatory.”

A parent who refuses to use a child’s preferred pronouns, declines to fill a prescription for puberty blockers or decides against sending a gender-confused child to an affirming therapist thus is “discriminating” against his or her child. What is a teacher or Title IX coordinator to do in such a circumstance?

It’s easy to see how school employees might believe they’re even required to report such parents to social services. The rules say schools must “respond to a hostile environment based on sex.” Biden’s broadly written Title IX rules give the government a good-faith basis to investigate parents for creating a harmful environment for their child.

This is already happening to families around the country. A California father recently told me that his daughter’s school filed a report with Child Protective Services after officials found out he and his wife weren’t referring to their daughter by her preferred male name"

Trump’s passports returned after Mar-a-Lago search, DOJ official saysPassports belonging to Donald Trump have been returned to the former president after last week's FBI search of his Mar-a-Lago home, a Justice Department official told NBC News on Monday.

The FBI acknowledged it had had the passports the same day Trump said on his social media platform that FBI agents who conducted the search on Aug. 8 took them.

In a statement on Truth Social, Trump said agents "stole my three Passports (one expired), along with everything else." He did not provide further details or specify whether the travel documents were personal or government passports. (Presidents receive diplomatic passports when they take office.)

A Justice Department official said Trump's passports have been returned.

A representative for Trump did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

A property receipt from the FBI search of Trump's estate in Palm Beach, Florida, showed that federal investigators recovered a trove of top secret and other heavily classified documents but did not mention any passports.

In court documents made public with the property receipt, investigators said they were searching for evidence of crimes that included withholding “any government and/or Presidential Records” from Trump’s time in office.
