Hundreds of Afghans on Terror Watchlist Released in U.S., Says DOD Whistleblower

Hundreds of unvetted Afghan refugees released in the United States by the Biden administration are on a Department of Defense (DOD) watchlist of suspected and known terrorists, according to a Pentagon whistleblower. The database is known as Biometrically Enabled Watchlist (BEWL), and it identifies individuals whose unique physical characteristics have been flagged by analysts to be national security threats. Some 324 Afghan evacuees who appear in the system were freed in the U.S., the DOD whistleblower says. The information has sparked outrage among some members of Congress who assert known suspected terrorists were let into the U.S. last year “after the administration’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan.”

At least two U.S. Senators are demanding and immediate investigation by the DOD Inspector General. In a letter to the Pentagon watchdog, the lawmakers, Josh Hawley of Missouri and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, write that the whistleblower’s information may show the Biden administration’s failure to vet those evacuated from Afghanistan was even worse than the public was led to believe. The whistleblower also alleges that political appointees at the National Security Council (NSC) and DOD instructed agency personnel to cut corners when processing evacuees in Afghanistan and at staging bases in Europe, the lawmakers write. Rather than administer fingerprint tests on all ten fingers, personnel were told to abbreviate tests to promote the rushed evacuation from Afghanistan. “Finally, it is alleged that personnel at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) who work on vetting Afghan evacuees have been authorized to delete old biometric data, whenever they personally believed that such information is out of date,” the senators write. “This is a troubling development that could threaten national security and public safety.”

The legislators want the DOD IG to investigate how many BEWL matches were generated by biometric submissions from Afghan evacuees, how many of those individuals were denied entry in the U.S., how many were admitted and how many are currently in the country. They also want to know the number of BEWL matches generated by evacuees after their arrival in the U.S. and what steps have been taken to identify, vet and deport the individuals who appeared on the watchlist or if the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has investigated any of them. The probe also needs to reveal if political appointees at the NSC or DOD instructed personnel to administer abbreviated fingerprint tests to Afghan evacuees, according to the senators, and under what conditions may agency personnel delete biometric information. They specifically want to know if any biometric information associated with Afghan evacuees been deleted.

How are we to deal with this “tumultuous, dangerous moment in history”? Obama was clear about the answer: we must recover the power to exclude certain voices,this time through regulation. Obama views disinformation much as Fauci does Covid-19: as a lever of authority in the hands of the guardian class. Democracy, he tells us over and again, must be protected from “toxic content.” But by democracy, he means the rule of the righteous, a group that coincides exactly with his partisan inclinations. By toxic, he means anything that smacks of Trumpism. The former president’s speech was vague on details, but it left all options open. Who can say what pretext will be needed to expel the next rough beast from social media, tomorrow or the day after?

The tone, nevertheless, was far from hopeful. The Barack Obama who spoke at Stanford plainly believed that nefarious forces have overrun the information sphere and that the Web, supreme medium of American politics, is now the mother of lies. The talk of regulation, like the strangely unprogressive yearning for the twentieth century, was a plea for dramatic intervention from a government that can’t enact an annual budget.An air of quiet desperation, I thought, clung to the performance.

Obama’s speech, in turn, took place four days before the apparent sale of Twitter to Elon Musk—at which point elite despair, always volatile, at last exploded in a fireball of rage and panic. Our unhappy age possesses a capacity for rhetorical grandiosity that may be unparalleled in history. Twitter in the clutches of the “supervillain” Musk, we were warned, could trigger World War III “and the destruction of our planet.” The complaints about Judge Mizelle resembled genteel mumblings in comparison.

Two clear themes emerged from the noise surrounding this pseudo-event.

The first is that the people in charge of American politics and culture are obsessed with control and hostile to any principle that might interfere with it. After expelling Trump and edging out founder Jack Dorsey, Twitter had evolved into a gated community for progressive-minded elites, with heretical opinions on race and Covid-19, for example, ever more tightly policed. Musk calls himself a “free speech absolutist.” He had attempted to purchase the platform with the aim of returning it to a more “neutral” posture.

For a considerable number of agitated people, the goal of neutrality was an abomination. Suddenly, “free speech” became a code for something dark and evil—racism, white nationalism, oligarchy, transphobia, “extremist rightwing Nazis”—all the phantoms and goblins that inhabit the nightmares of the progressive mind. Self-awareness was the first casualty of this war of words. The Washington Post, owned by multibillionaire Jeff Bezos, solemnly preached the need for regulation “to prevent rich people from controlling our channels of communication.”

Following the Obama formula,the itch to control what Americans can say online was equated with the defense of freedom. Granting unfettered speech to the rabble, as Musk intended, would be “dangerous to our democracy,” Elizabeth Warren said. “For democracy to survive we need more content moderation, not less,” was how Max Boot, Washington Post columnist, put it. “We must pass laws to protect privacy and promote algorithmic justice for internet users,” was the bizarre formulation of Ed Markey, junior senator from Massachusetts.

The Biden White House, never a hotbed of originality, recited the Obama refrain about holding the digital platforms “accountable” for the “harm” they inflict on us.

Honesty is a rare quality in the exercise of the will to power. For at least a generation, our elites haven’t valued anyone’s freedom but their own: but it was fascinating to hear them say it.

The second theme follows from the first.The elites are convinced that their control over American society is slipping away. They have conquered the presidency, both houses of Congress, and the entirety of our culture; yet their mood is one of panic and resentment. Trump, they are certain, will return to Twitter. There, as Obama warned, he will spew toxic clouds of disinformation and poison the minds of a gullible public. Attempts to enforce truth by legal means will be foiled by Trumpist judges like Mizelle. Inevitably, Trump will be reelected, and a revanchist holocaust will ensue.

To conservatives and Republicans, this rending of garments will appear disingenuous. After all, if you are obsessed with control, you will never get enough of it. But there’s no necessary contradiction between the two perspectives: you can be addicted to control and aware of its loss. In a vague and inchoate way, the progressive elites sense that they have power but lack authority. They live in dread of a reversal in the tide of history that will bestow the future to the worst kind of people and the bloody idols they worship.

Much of the gloom reflected the changed political climate. Starting with the onset of Covid-19 in the spring of 2020, elite fortunes took an almost magical turn. The pandemic frightened the public into docility. The Black Lives Matter riots enshrined racial doctrines that demanded constant state interference as not only legitimate but mandatory in every corner of American culture. The malevolent Trump went down to defeat, and the presidency passed to Biden, a hollow man easily led by the progressive zealots around him. The Senate flipped Democratic.

This victory parade culminated on January 6, 2021, when Trump’s outrageous behavior led to his expulsion from social media and the shunning by polite society of anything that reeked of “insurgent” Republicanism. By Inauguration Day, the elites and their identitarian ideas seemed to stand unchallenged.

That was never quite true—and the moment quickly passed. The burden of incumbency has crushed the Democrats. With Trump gone, they have nothing of substance to rally around. President Biden has staggered from disaster to disaster and is touching calamitous levels of unpopularity. Biden inherited peace and a recovering economy but must now deal with inflation, shortages, and a major war in Europe.

As I write, the conventional wisdom is that the 2022 midterm elections will witness a slaughter of Democrats in both the House and Senate. With Biden’s incumbency blocking better candidates, Democratic prospects of retaining the presidency in 2024 look increasingly poor. Next Inauguration Day, the elite class, so recently triumphant, could find itself stranded in the political wilderness. Yet even then, all would not be lost.

There is a tremendous asymmetry in the alignment of ideological forces in this country. Politically, we are fractured: war-bands of every denomination prowl restlessly through a zone of perpetual conflict. Electorally, we are divided. Voting is binary: in practice, this means that the war-bands get artificially squeezed into one of two mega-tribes. On Election Day, we must choose one or the other—and, because of the dynamic among war-bands, any one of which can defect at any moment, majorities rest on a razor’s edge.

Culturally, however, we are monolithic. From the scientific establishment through the corporate boardroom all the way to Hollywood,elite keepers of our culture speak with a single, shrill voice—and the script always follows the dogmas of one particular war-band—the cult of identity—and the politics of one specific partisan flavor, that of progressive Democrats.

The imbalance between a divided nation and a monolithic culture warps our shared perception of reality. A potentially scandalous story about the son of the Democratic presidential candidate, though entirely true, can be smothered to death by Facebook, Twitter, and Google. On the other side, if you are a former Republican president, you can expect to get locked out of social media permanently, even though 74 million Americans voted for you.

These decisions don’t reflect a consensus of public opinion. None of us was polled on the proper informational treatment for Hunter Biden or Donald Trump. This was control at a far more elemental level—and only here, in the murky depths of truth and post-truth, can we discern the motive for this year’s meltdown over disinformation and its avatar, Musk. The elites, confronting what they believe to be a political tempest of biblical proportions,are terrified of losing their monopoly over culture as well.

Whether this will actually happen is beyond the reach of analysis: culture evolves in mysterious ways. But it may be useful to speculate on the matter. In this spirit, let me propose three strong countercurrents, already visible across the American landscape—that might, in time, threaten the cultural supremacy of the elites.

The first is the intrusion of the political into the cultural. Since conservatives and Republicans are politically strong but culturally nonexistent, they will flex their political muscle to try to right the imbalance. Virginia and Florida have banned the teaching of certain progressive doctrines in public schools. When Disney, Florida’s largest employer, vocally condemned these laws, the company was punished with the removal of local privileges. Should Republicans win Congress and the White House, I would expect American politics to experience a cultural Armageddon. The output of culture can’t be legislated on demand: otherwise, the Soviet Union would have been a golden age of creativity. But raw political power can make the cost of cultural monopoly—and of idle posturing, Disney-style—unpleasantly high.

A second threat to elite culture is the defection of the victim class. The cult of identity generates an insatiable demand for victim groups, which, by necessity, must become ever smaller and more marginal not only to the mainstream but also to traditional minorities. Even as the elites solidified their grip on culture, the focus of their performative outrage was drifting from civil rights and pocketbook issues to more esoteric questions of sexuality and climate justice. The new causes simply don’t resonate with Hispanics or blacks, whose socioeconomic interests lie in other directions. According to recent polls, significant numbers of both groups are threatening to abandon the Democratic Party

Progressivism is essentially a protection racket. If the elites ever lose the undisputed right to shout “Racism!” at the producers of culture, the latter will begin to fracture like the rest of the country and to look to the marketplace, rather than ideology, for inspiration.

The last countercurrent may be the most potent of all:the internal churning and dispersal of populations spurred by the pandemicand the availability of remote work. The number of Americans moving from their home regions, a recent survey found, is at the highest level on record. Though conservative writers are quick to observe that this is predominantly a flight from Democratic-controlled states to Republican strongholds in the Sunbelt, the political implications strike me as unclear. Many of the newcomers, I’m guessing, will be Democrats.

Far more significant will be the impact on the culture. Migration is a powerful solvent. Millions of people are leaving home in pursuit of change. They wish to be reborn, reinvented, liberated from the dead hand of the past; pick your metaphor for personal transformation. Such sweeping tides of humanity have always exemplified the central tenet of the American creed: that we are not captives to fate. Each wave of immigrants will begin a strange new story. To tell it,the culture, too, must be reborn and reinvented—and the mold of progressive dogmatism will be shattered in the process.

An unexpected blow against the progressive hold on culture came on May 2, when an anonymous leaker within the Supreme Court made public Justice Samuel Alito’s draft decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and devolve the regulation of abortion to Congress and the states. By the time the formal ruling came down on June 24, traumatized elites seemed ready to repudiate the one branch of the federal government that they did not control. The Supreme Court had “burned whatever legitimacy they may still have had,” Senator Elizabeth Warren proclaimed. “They just took the last of it and set a torch to it.” Abortion on demand—an early victory over traditional culture—has become sacramental to the left, with Roe v. Wade as holy writ. If Republican governors can align with Republican-appointed justices to demolish this once-settled arrangement, then every facet of the culture will be up for grabs. Justice Alito’s opinion “is not just about a woman’s right to choose. It is about much more than that,” cautioned Hillary Clinton, after the draft leaked. “Once you allow this kind of extreme power to take hold, you have no idea who they will come for next.”

Are we on the cusp, then, of an anti-elite cultural revolution? I still wouldn’t bet on it. For obscure reasons of psychology, creative minds incline to radical politics. A kulturkampf directed from Tallahassee, Florida, or even Washington, D.C., won’t budge that reality much. The group portrait of American culture will continue to tilt left indefinitely.

But that’s not the question at hand.What terrifies elites is the loss of their cultural monopoly in the face of a foretold political disaster. They fear diversity of any kind, with good cause: to the extent that the public enjoys a variety of choices in cultural products, elite control will be proportionately diluted.

Our cultural monolith, never popular, is today pounded by crosscurrents that undermine its solidity. Alongside the vast progressive choir, quieter voices—conservative, libertarian, religious, none-of-the-above—could soon arise, leaving our culture more fractured, more divided, and more representative of the nation as a whole. If that were to occur, sullen elites will point to 2022’s springtime of discontent, and remark, with typical vehemence, that their panic was fully justified.

IRS Hires 950 Thugs Overnight

The Internal Revenue Service has yet to receive its $80bn taxpayer gift but has already begun a mass hiring spree, according to agency insiders speaking under promise of anonymity.

On the morning of August 7, only hours after Deep State fool Kabula Harris delivered a tiebreaking vote that strengthened an agency of grifters, the IRS began working a backlog of applications and accepting new ones. It approved 950 overnight.

One source told RNN that the IRS is applying rather unusual and discriminatory standards to whom it hires.

“It’s not hiring bean pushers—accountants. Right now it’s hiring men with a physically intimidating presence, and applicants with a military or law enforcement background get shuffled to the top of the deck,” he said. “They’re getting rubberstamped.”

IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig has said he wants to “massively strengthen” the agency’s Criminal Investigation Division, which, according to him, currently employs approximately 1500 Special Agents. Sources, however, claim the actual number of active Special Agents is several times that figure.

A recent IRS recruitment ad on jobs.gov read: “Key requirement for applicants is that they have to be “legally allowed to carry a firearm,” and “major duties” include “Carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force, if necessary” and “Be willing and able to participate in arrests, execution of search warrants, and other dangerous assignments…and look good doing it.”

By the next day, the ad had been rewritten to omit references of deadly force and looking good, possibly due to media backlash and stories RRN had written about the agency’s gung ho attitude, and the military’s seizure of a shipment of weapons bound for the IRS in Washington, D.C.

When RRN reached out to the IRS for a comment on the employment ad, the hiring process, and the weapon requisitions, an agency spokesperson bluntly said, “We don’t speak to the likes of you.”

This was a typical response given to anyone not associated with the mainstream media, our source said.

“They won’t tell you shit. Not how many new hires will be CIs. Not how many guns they’re looking to get. But Rettig recently put in a purchase order for 22,000 sidearms, so, assuming one sidearm per agent, 22,000 new Special Agents. A little less than a quarter of what they’re hoping to hire. So, they’re not gonna find 87,000 new employees overnight, and probably not in the immediate future, but it’s only a matter of time, and don’t believe the IRS mouthpieces who say it’s to replace retirees. That’s a load of crap. The IRS’s goal is to militarize itself,” he explained.

Commissioner Rettig, he said in closing, feels that average Americans don’t pay enough taxes, and those persons who get refunds generally don’t deserve them.

“Have you noticed the IRS renamed its offices from IRS buildings to IRS Tax Assistance Centers. The only thing they want to assist you with is going bankrupt and making you dependent on government handouts, conditionally,” he said.

Why Is The UN Promoting A Kind Of Food Production Proven To Reduce Yields, Raise Prices, And Topple Governments?

UN Environment Programme launched its anti-fertilizer efforts from Sri Lanka in 2019

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) describes itself as “the global authority that sets the environmental agenda… and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment.” Through its “Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity for Agriculture and Food” program launched in 2014, the UNEP advocates that nations “steer away from the prevailing focus on per hectare productivity.”

But today the world is in its worst food crisis since 2008. The number of people suffering acute food insecurity increased by 25% since January 2022 to 345 million, according to the United Nations World Food Programme. Why, then, is the UNEP trying to steer nations away from fertilizers that increase food production?

The UNEP’s Acting Director in 2019 said the reason was humankind’s “long-term interference with the Earth’s nitrogen balance.” In October of that year, the UNEP hosted a meeting in the capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo and issued a “road map” to push nations to cut nitrogen pollution in half.

But the Netherlands proves that nations can slash nitrogen pollution from livestock by 70% while also increasing meat production. Same for crops. Since the early 1960s, the Netherlands has doubled its yields while using the same amount of fertilizer. While rich nations produce 70 percent higher yields than poor nations, they use just 54 percent more nitrogen.

One month after the Colombo meeting in 2019, which generated significant media attention in Sri Lanka, voters in that nation elected an anti-fertilizer president, H.E. Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who claimed, without scientific evidence, that synthetic fertilizers were causing kidney diseases. In April 2021, he banned fertilizer imports.

In June, 2021, two months after the fertilizer ban, Sri Lanka hosted a UN-sponsored “Food System Dialogue” aimed at influencing the UN’s broader anti-fertilizer agenda for the world. “Sri Lanka’s inaugural Food System Dialogue is part of a series of national and provincial dialogues conducted by the Ministry of Agriculture ahead of the 2021 UN Food System Summit set to take place in New York later this year.”

14 FBI Whistleblowers Have Come Forward: Rep. Jordan

Fourteen FBI whistleblowers have come forward to provide information to Republican congressional investigations, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said Sunday, about a week after the FBI raided former President Donald Trump’s Florida home.

“Fourteen FBI agents have come to our office as whistleblowers, and they are good people,” Jordan told Fox News. “There are lots of good people in the FBI. It’s the top that is the problem.”

“Some of these good agents are coming to us, telling us … what’s going on—the political nature now of the Justice Department … talking about the school board issue, about a whole host of issues,” he added.

Two months ago, Jordan said that six FBI whistleblowers approached the committee. Two came forward in relation to a school board memo and four in connection to the Jan. 6 Capitol breach. In the Senate, meanwhile, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said in July that whistleblowers had come to his office to provide information, including disclosures relating to investigations into Hunter Biden’s overseas business dealings.

“It’s becoming a well-worn trail of agents who say this has got to stop, and thank goodness for them and that American people recognize it, and I believe they’re going to make a big change on November 8,” Jordan said Sunday, referring to the 2022 midterm elections.

In June, Jordan sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray warning that several former FBI officials were coming forward while alleging the agency is “purging” employees who have conservative views.

“In one such example, the FBI targeted and suspended the security clearance of a retired war servicemember who had disclosed personal views that the FBI was not being entirely forthcoming about the events of January 6,” he wrote in a press release. ‘The FBI questioned the whistleblower’s allegiance to the United States despite the fact that the whistleblower honorably served in the United States military for several years—including deployments in Kuwait and Iraq—valiantly earning multiple military commendation medals.”

It comes as Republicans stepped up calls on Sunday for the release of an FBI affidavit showing the justification for its seizure of documents at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.

A search warrant released last week after the unprecedented raid showed that Trump allegedly had 11 sets of classified documents at his home. The Justice Department also claimed to have had probable cause to conduct the search based on possible Espionage Act and obstruction of justice violations.

Republicans are calling for the disclosure of more detailed information that persuaded a federal judge to issue the search warrant, which may show sources of information and details about the nature of the documents and other classified information.

Only 84 days remain until the November 8 midterm elections, and House Republicans are preparing to smother Democrats with a massive $180 million ad blitz, Breitbart News has learned exclusively.

“There will be no mercy for every single Democrat who voted to send 87,000 IRS agents after the working class, raise their taxes, and give handouts to their wealthy donors. They will regret this vote when their constituents send them packing in November,” National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) chairman Rep. Tom Emmer (R-MN) told Breitbart News exclusively on Monday.

Sources familiar with media ad buy tracking told Breitbart News that between the NRCC and the Congressional Leadership Fund (CLF)—the House GOP leadership’s main super PAC—Republicans have reserved nearly $180 million in ad buys across the country in the fall. As the midterms approach and Republicans gain even more momentum, these sources add, this massive ad buy hammering Democrats in their districts is expected to grow significantly.

The blitz will begin hitting television airwaves at the end of August and will hammer vulnerable Democrats from Labor Day until Election Day. Since every single Democrat in the House voted for the so-called “Inflation Reduction Act,” a bill that does not reduce inflation but actually represents a massive shift towards the radical left’s green agenda, expect the ads to focus in large part on Democrats’ decision to vote to raise taxes and employ new IRS agents to conduct wide-scale audits on Americans.

Some specific Democrats who are definitely on the target list include Reps. Tom O’Halleran (D-AZ), Jared Golden (D-ME), Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), Matt Cartwright (D-PA), and Cindy Axne (D-IA).

For Republicans to retake the U.S. House majority, they need to flip just a handful of seats from Democrat control—and each of those above districts were carried by former President Donald

The government of Canada has announced it is working on a new federal “Digital Identity Program” after partnering with Klaus Schwab’s World Economic Forum (WEF) to help develop a global ID system.

Canada joins the Dutch government in developing a digital ID system in partnership with the WEF.

The program seeks to create a digital proof-of-identity document for all citizens that is logged in a system used by airports, authorities, and government agencies.

Details about the development of a federal “Digital Identity Program” were revealed in the Canadian government’s “Canada’s Digital Ambition 2022” report.

“The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the need for government services to be accessible and flexible in the digital age,” the report published by the government reads.

“The next step in making services more convenient to access is a federal Digital Identity Program, integrated with pre-existing provincial platforms.

“Digital identity is the electronic equivalent of a recognized proof-of-identity document (for example, a driver’s license or passport) and confirms that ‘you are who you say you are’ in a digital context.”

For the digital ID program, Canada is partnering with the WEF.

The WEF’s program is called “Known Traveler Digital Identity,” which the organization boasts is “the first global collaboration of its kind.”

“The Known Traveller Digital Identity, or KTDI, is a World Economic Forum initiative that brings together a global consortium of individuals, governments, authorities, and the travel industry to enhance security in world travel,” the WEF’s “Known Traveler Digital Identity” website says.

“The pilot group, convened by the World Economic Forum, consists of the Government of Canada and the Netherlands, Air Canada, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Montreal-Trudeau International Airport, Toronto Pearson International Airport, and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol,” the website notes.

Canada’s Digital Identity Program further cements the country’s commitment to the WEF’s digital ID project.

The Canadian government has previously tried rolling out digital ID schemes, like the unsuccessful federal contact tracing app and the controversial ArriveCAN, which is required to enter the country.

Despite the failures and privacy concerns, the Liberal Canadian government is not giving up on digital ID schemes.

Joe Biden’s Justice Department subpoenaed Trump’s former White House lawyer Eric Herschmann, Politico reported.

The grand jury investigating the January 6 Capitol protest summoned Trump’s former lawyer, according to Politico.

Recall, Herschmann told the January 6 panel about an exchange he had with Trump lawyer John Eastman on January 7, 2021.

Herschmann pushed back on Eastman when he disclosed his plans to contest the 2020 election.

“And I said to [Eastman], ‘Are you out of your F*cking mind?’” Herschmann told the J-6 panel, according to Politico. “I said, ‘I only want to hear two words coming out of your mouth from now on: orderly transition.’”

And now Biden’s Justice Department is harassing Herschmann.

Herschmann also defended Trump in the first impeachment trial.

BOURNE — Jim Potter, a former Wareham Select Board chair and a former member of the Bourne Select Board, has been arrested and charged with child rape and indecent assault.

Falmouth District Court records confirm the 44-year-old Potter was arraigned on Aug. 11 on a variety of charges including rape of a child, two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, indecent assault on a person 14 or older, and rape.

The charges stem from three separate alleged offenses: one dated March 2009, one in January 2015 and another in April 2022.

Due to the nature of the charges against him, all police reports and evidence are sealed, and the victims will not be identified.

Potter left the Wareham Select Board as chairman when he and his family moved to Bourne in 2009, according to a 2021 profile on his "Elect Jim Potter" campaign page.

He had been elected to the Bourne Select Board in May 2018 but lost a re-election bid in 2021 and another attempt to get back on the board in May 2022.

His profile notes that Potter coached for Bourne Youth Soccer for eight years.
