California governor: Most schools likely out until the fall

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Most California schools will likely remain closed for the rest of the school year because of the new coronavirus, Gov. Gavin Newsom said Tuesday.

Nearly all the state’s schools have already shut down as the most populous state tries to stop the spread of the virus, and the rest will soon, he said.

"I would plan and assume it is unlikely that many of these schools, few if any, will open before the summer break," he said in a news conference streamed online. “I don't want to mislead you, to six-plus million kids in our system and their families, they need to make some plans at a time when a lot of plans are already being curtailed,” said Newsom, a father of four children. “But planning with kids is some of the most challenging planning.” The state has applied for a federal waiver that means children would not have to face academic tests once they eventually return to school, said Newsom, a Democrat.

“We think it is totally inappropriate for kids to worry about coming back and being tested," he said.

The Senate coronavirus bill vote will be delayed after Republican Sen. Rand Paul pushed a doomed amendment.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said the Senate would move at "warp speed" to pass coronavirus legislation on Tuesday, but Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., put a damper on those plans, two leadership sources told NBC News.

Senators were on Tuesday heading towards a vote on the package — which includes provisions for free coronavirus testing, secures paid emergency leave, enhances unemployment insurance, strengthens food security initiatives, and increases federal Medicaid funding to states — but had to slam the brakes on because of an amendment Paul proposed.

The sources said Paul is forcing a vote on his amendment, which would "require a social security number for purposes of the child tax credit, and to provide the President the authority to transfer funds as necessary, and to terminate United States military operations and reconstruction activities in Afghanistan."

McConnell agreed to take up the amendment on Wednesday, delaying the vote on the larger bill, the sources said. The Paul amendment is not expected to pass.

McConnell, the senior senator from Kentucky, said earlier Tuesday a number of his members think the package that the House passed on Saturday has "considerable shortcomings" but is still necessary and urgent.

"My counsel to them is to gag and vote for it," he said.

“We’re able to rise above our normal partisanship and many times our normal positions because these are not ordinary times. This is not an ordinary time,” he said.

Paul was the sole "no" vote on the $8.3 billion coronavirus spending bill the Senate passed earlier this month.

Paul is notorious for forcing votes on amendments he knows will not pass.

In July of last year, Paul blocked a bipartisan bill that would ensure a victims' compensation fund related to the Sept. 11 attacks never runs out of money. Paul questioned the bill's 70-year time frame and said any new spending should be offset by corresponding cuts. After the amendment failed, he wound up being one of two no votes on the legislation.

He even briefly caused the government to shut down in 2018, using a procedural tactic to block the Senate from meeting the deadline to keep the government open because he objected to the price tag.

Earlier today we were digging the New York Central Railroad's presence in West Virginia because of one of POTUS's earlier tweets.

He was highlighting Andrew Cuomo, and pointing to West Virginia as an example having zero cases.

At that point we turned our attention to the rail lines in West Virginia, with two popping up as intardasting.

Now owned and operated by Watco Companies.

Watco is owned by Andell Holding which was founded by the daughter of Charles Bronfman and her husband

Andrew and Ellen Bronfman Hauptman.

Now of course we know that charles bronfmans nieces were involved in NXIVM with Allison Mack.

Not much else came from this dig. I still have to follow the line and discover what clients are on it, but it appears to be a coal and coke oriented shipper.

Then I started thinking.

Who is the richest person in West Virignia?

Thats usually a good guide to highlighting who to dig to get back to the cult from a geographic region.

Without fail it has proven to be a viable way to find the players in the region you're digging.

Well, it turns out it's Jim Justice,

the Governor of WV that POTUS highlighted earlier.

Jim Justice is a billionaire who inherited his father's company that made it's money in the coal and agriculture business.

He went to school at Marshall University.

Which makes me remember someone recently mispelling marshal in marshal law as "marshall."

Can anons help remind me who that was?

Justice serves as the owner and CEO of over 50 companies.

Including the Greenbrier estate.

Now the Greenbrier is quite the estate. Pic related.

It was originally built, of course, by a railroad.

The Chesapeake and Ohio Railway.

The estate was owned for the majority of its history by that company and it's successors Chessie System and CSX Corporation.

This is a big revelation because if we're keeping track of the class 1 railroads, their political and business owners include:

Union Pacific - Mack McLarty and the Clintons

Canadian National - Bill Gates

BNSF - Warren Buffett

So this could possibly shed light on who is behind CSX.

Anywho, justice sold his family business interests in Coal to the russian firm

Mechel OAO

headed by russian oligarch Igor Zyuzin.

He sold it for $550 million,

only to buy it back for $5 million in 2015.

Some big time sketch here, and I think POTUS is directing us to dig west virginia, the New York Central/Vanderbilt railroads in the state, and all sorts of other sketchy dealings with Jim Justice.

People with blood type A might be more vulnerable to the coronavirus, while those with type O blood could be more resistant, according to a new preliminary study from China.

Researchers studying COVID-19 in its outbreak epicenter, Wuhan, and the city of Shenzhen found the proportion of Type-A patients both infected and killed by the disease to be “significantly” higher than those with the same blood type in the general public.

Type O patients, meanwhile, made up a smaller proportion of both those infected and killed by the virus.

“People of blood group A might need particularly strengthened personal protection to reduce the chance of infection,” wrote the researchers at the Centre for Evidence-Based and Translational Medicine based out of Wuhan.

Though the team, led by Wang Xinghuan, couched the study as “preliminary,” with more work needed to be done to develop concrete findings.

The research, published on Medrxiv.org, compared blood types of 2,173 confirmed coronavirus cases in Wuhan and Shenzhen to more than 3,694 healthy residents in the Wuhan area.
