Graham calls Pelosi the mastermind behind the impeachment 'church of holy hell'

Sen. Lindsey Graham said he believed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi when she said she prays for President Trump in private. "Nancy Pelosi may pray for him privately, but she's orchestrated the church of holy hell," Graham said on Fox News Sunday. "From the time Trump has been sworn in to now, it has been one thing after another." Last week, Pelosi appointed seven lawmakers to carry articles of impeachment against Trump to the Senate floor and act as impeachment managers in a trial slated to begin Tuesday. Democrats have accused Trump of abusing the power of the presidency and then seeking to obstruct congressional oversight after being "caught" doing so.

The president's impeachment focuses on his administration's relations with Ukraine and a phone call between Trump and the leader of Ukraine, during which the president asked for an investigation into one of his biggest political rivals, Joe Biden. Vital military aid was held up during a pressure campaign that Democrats argued was used to extort the leader of a foreign nation. "The president broke the law," Pelosi said when announcing the impeachment last fall. Trump's Republican defenders in Congress, Graham among them, have dismissed his impeachment as purely political and lacking seriousness. "You took 48 days to impeach this president," Graham said, speaking directly to Democrats. "This has been a partisan railroad job. ... The sooner this is over, the better for the country."

Pelosi, who is Catholic, has said on more than one occasion that she privately prays that Trump might act in a manner that benefits the country more. The speaker lashed out at a reporter from a conservative media outlet in early December after he asked her if she and Democrats "hate" the president. "I pray for the president all the time," Pelosi said, pointing her finger at the reporter. "So don't mess with me when it comes to words like that."

On the morning of November 19th, 2018, sixteen FBI agents raided the Maryland home of a DOJ whistleblower who was in possession of Clinton Foundation and Uranium One documents. The whistleblower came across the devastating documents while he was working for an FBI contractor, according to the whistleblower’s lawyer. (Note: This order was likely in the works before Jeff Sessions was fired.)

The Daily Caller exclusively reported that the whistleblower, Dennis Nathan Cain, had given these documents to Inspector General Horowitz and both the House and Senate Intel Committees.

Over a dozen FBI agents rifled through Dennis Nathan Cain’s home for over six hours even though he had already given the documents to the proper investigative channels, according to his lawyer.

The documents reveal then-FBI Director Robert Mueller failed to investigate criminal misconduct by Rosatam, the Russian nuclear firm that purchased 20% of the US’s Uranium.

In December the DOJ pushed back on requests to explain its reasons for raiding the Dennis Nathan Cain’s home.

And now a federal court refuses to unseal the documents to the public on why it was necessary for the DOJ to raid the home of a Clinton Foundation whistleblower.

Belgium narrowly rejects removal of US nuclear weapons

A resolution to remove US nuclear heads from Belgian territory was narrowly voted down by lawmakers on Thursday, with some arguing they were strategic to bolster Belgium’s international standing.

The resolution, spearheaded by John Crombez of the Flemish socialist sp.a party, was rejected after a starkly polarised debate culminated in a 74-66 vote.

The debate over the presence of nuclear weapons in the country was reignited last year, after a leaked document from the NATO Parliamentary Assembly essentially confirmed that Belgium was one of several NATO countries storing nuclear warheads for the US, doing away with years of “neither confirm nor deny” policy on the matter.

Valor under fire: Small group of American troops repelled terrorist attack in Kenya (Graphic Images)

On January 5, an assault force of al-Shabaab terrorists attacked a Kenyan military base and an adjacent airbase that housed American troops. The attack resulted in the deaths of three Americans and the destruction of two surveillance aircraft.

If it weren’t for a small team of U.S. troops, however, the attack would have been much deadlier.

Although the details about the event are still murky, U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) officials stated that a combined U.S.-Kenyan force repelled the terrorists, thereby saving numerous lives.

“We had a very small U.S. force following the initial attack absolutely repel the al-Shabab attackers away from the airfield. And they did that under fire,” said Major General William Gayler, AFRICOM’s director of operations. “A very small group of U.S. and Kenyans cleared every single building out at the airfield.”

One American servicemember and two civilian contractors were killed during the attack: The serviceman, U.S. Army Specialist Henry Mayfield Jr. was assigned to 1st Battalion, 58th Aviation Regiment, 164th Theater Airfield Operations Group. One of the two contractors was Dustin Harrison a pilot flying the Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft stationed in the airbase. The name and duties of the second contractor remain private.

The al-Shabaab attack also destroyed two aircraft: A C146A Wolfhound, belonging to Special Operations Command (SOCOM), and DHC-8-202 N8200L, belonging to the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) and previously used by Dynamic Aviation for contract work.

Five Jihadists were killed during the attack.

arlier in January, two earthquakes struck near Indonesia, a 6.2 earthquake on 7 January and a 5.5 quake on 2 January, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

A 6.0 magnitude earthquake hit Sulawesi, Indonesia on 19 January, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said, adding that the tremor took place about 116 kilometres (72 miles) southeast of Gorontalo at a depth of about 131 kilometres (81 miles).

However, US Geological Survey reported that the 6.0 quake occurred 59 kilometres (36 miles) southwest of Molibagu, Indonesia, at a depth of 118 kilometres (73 miles).

There have been no immediate reports about damages or casualties due to the earthquake and no tsunami threat has been issued.

Major Antifa Website Publishes Pro-Gun Op-Ed From Virginia Resident Planning to Attend Richmond Rally

It’s Going Down, arguably the largest Antifa website on the internet, has published a lengthy op-ed in support of gun rights from a Virginia militant leftist planning to attend the Second Amendment rally in Richmond this Monday.

The anonymously penned piece titled “With Neither Tyrants Nor Fascists: An Anarchist Analysis Of The Growing Fight Against Anti-Gun Legislation In Virginia,” makes a surprisingly reasonable argument for why they oppose anti-gun legislation and mocks the theories that Antifa is planning to go to the rally just to instigate problems.

On January 20, defenders of the Second Amendment intend to take over Richmond’s “Lobby Day” in support of the Second Amendment. The rally is expected to draw tens of thousands of people, many from militias across the country — as well as at least one Antifa group from the state. The group claims that they intend to support the Second Amendment and aren’t going to protest against the patriotic Americans who are standing up for their right to protect themselves and those they love.

The author began the article by describing growing up in Virginia and how being around guns is a natural part of life. “Here, they are as divisive as they are ubiquitous. Guns are pulled out at parties and argued about over dinner. They are bought and sold at pawn shops, advertised on billboards, given away in raffles, traded informally, gifted, stolen, won in poker games, and even sold on Facebook. Anyone over 18 with a valid driver’s license and clean record can rent one at a shooting range or buy one from their neighbor,” they explained.

They note that meat hunted with guns is “used for survival, shared between neighbors, or donated to the elderly,” but that many residents of the state “know someone impacted by their violence: someone who gets into fights, a bystander, a victim of domestic violence or depression or the police. Many have family, friends, and acquaintances serving long sentences who have been criminalized for their proximity to guns and guns are everywhere.”

The piece goes on to take aim squarely at the Democratic Party for attempting to trample the rights of their citizens.

“It has felt surreal and even laughable to many Virginians that a newly Democrat-dominated state government might push through the criminalization of gun possession with proposed sweeping partial ​bans and ​regulations​. But this is 2019 in Virginia, and these days we are used to things being very absurd and very surreal. The Democrats who are proposing these laws rode in on a wave of massive structural changes, redistricting, and also growing anger at Dominion Energy’s corporate influence. The gateway to the south, the gateway to the north. Virginia exists between a suburban future and the pastoral farming past, at the intersection of old world bigotry and patronage and hyper-modern capitalism,” the author lamented.

It goes on to ponder where exactly “non-traditional” gun owners fit in to defending this right, which is something more typically associated with right-wing activism than left.

The tiny principality of Monaco, on the southern coast of France, has more super-wealthy residents per capita than anywhere else on the planet.

Occupying less than a square mile in diameter (smaller than Central Park in New York), Monaco has a population of approximately 38,000 – but about one-third of its residents are millionaires (versus one in 28 in London.) Moreover, about 2,800 of Monaco's residents are worth at least $10 million.

The Global Wealth Migration Review by AfrAsia Bank of Mauritius and New World Wealth, a global market research group, based in Johannesburg, South Africa, stated that the average wealth (defined as net assets) of a person living in Monaco was about $2.114 million in 2018 – the highest such figure in the world. Liechtenstein came a distant second at $786,000, followed by Switzerland ($315,000) and Luxembourg ($300,000). The corresponding figure for the U.S. was $186,000.

Monaco also has no poverty.

Damyana Bakardzhieva, a professor of economics at the International University of Monaco, said if one used France’s definition of poverty – that is, those people living on an income below $1,100 per month – than Monaco would have a poverty rate of zero.

A “country” this unique has many strange qualities. For example, Monaco is a constitutional monarchy run by the House of Grimaldi – the oldest dynasty in Europe - and has been recognized as a sovereign state since 1861.

The natives of Monaco, called Monegasque, are vastly outnumbered in their own country, accounting for less than 25% of the population. The remainder comprise foreign residents primarily from France, Italy, U.K., Switzerland, Germany, Russia, and the U.S.

Citizens are forbidden from gambling or even entering their luxurious casinos.

Monaco has four casinos - Casino de Monte Carlo, Casino Café de Paris, Sun Casino and Monte-Carlo Bay Casino - all of which are operated by the Société des Bains de Mer, or SBM, a publicly traded company. For the 2017-2018 period, SBM reported revenues of $223 million.

But even Monaco has certain problems familiar to other nations – as a very densely populated state (more than 49,000 people per square mile, versus 317 for France), it has a housing shortage.

To solve this, Monaco is constructing new luxury beachfront homes and boutiques through a land reclamation project set to cost $2.23 billion. Due for completion next year, the construction will comprise about 646,000 square feet of luxury accommodation, 33,000 square feet of retail space and a new private port.

HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - At least one Honolulu police officer was killed and another was injured Sunday morning in an apparent shooting near Diamond Head, law enforcement sources say.

The circumstances that led up to the shooting are unclear at this time. The scene is believed to be a home on Hibiscus Drive.

One officer, a female, was taken to the Queen’s Medical Center in extremely critical condition and later died. Police officers were seen arriving at the hospital en masse as the patients were transported away from the Diamond Head scene.

A second officer was also reported to be in extremely critical condition, law enforcement sources said.

One witness at the scene told Hawaii News Now that rescuers could be seen performing CPR on an officer in the immediate aftermath of the shooting.

Soon after the shooting incident was reported, the home believed to be the scene of the shooting caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames.

Witnesses in the area say the fire has spread to at least four other nearby homes in the area, and Honolulu firefighters were staging nearby while waiting for police officials, who have control of the scene, to give the all-clear.

Several vehicles, including a marked Honolulu Police Department vehicle, were also on fire.

Videos taken at the scene of the fire appeared to include the sound of gunfire from within the home as it burned, though shots from the home were not confirmed.

A youth tennis tournament near Kapiolani Park was canceled because of the nearby shooting. Officers do not believe the shooter was in the park, but put up yellow caution tape as a precautionary measure to keep the area clear.

San Francisco’s dangerous new DA

In terms of major policy shifts, the city of San Francisco has served as a political torchbearer of sorts for California — and at times, the nation. Now, with the city’s new, Bernie Sanders-endorsed district attorney, Americans across the nation should be concerned about how a radical shift in prosecuting for the Golden City could have immediate national implications.

Within 48 hours of being sworn in on Jan. 8, San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin fired seven veteran attorneys, including several who were responsible for managing critical criminal units such as homicide, gang, and general felony.

As a former San Francisco assistant district attorney, I know this isn’t just a typical case of administrative shake-up. Rather, it is a dangerous and disruptive move that does a grave disservice to victims and the community.

The institutional knowledge possessed by someone like Ana Gonzalez, who headed the city’s gang unit, is irreplaceable. Criminal organizations and their operations are often very complex, especially in a metropolitan area such as San Francisco. Without prosecutors who have a deep understanding of the various syndicates and the players within them, lawful prosecution of crimes becomes tremendously more difficult, allowing real criminals to walk free.

Assistant District Attorney Mike Swart, who was also among those fired, was recently honored by the Commission on the Status of Women of the City & County of San Francisco for successfully bringing to justice the killer of Pearla Ann Louis, who was violently murdered and stuffed into a suitcase.

Some have pointed to Boudin’s lack of experience as an excuse for his reckless actions — he has never actually prosecuted a case. The truth, though, is far more sinister.

On top of quickly dismantling the violent crime division of his office, Boudin seeks to end the prosecution of what he deems “quality of life crimes,” including public camping, offering or soliciting sex, public urination, and blocking a sidewalk. Instead of handcuffing criminals, Boudin is handcuffing the prosecutorial process and Lady Justice herself.

These firings weren’t based on any incompetency within the department; they were just a transparent effort to cripple the department’s prosecutorial ability. Boudin is advancing a radical ideology that’s focused on completely redesigning the city’s — and the nation’s — criminal justice system.

This dangerous reality is also being peddled by a new brand of Bernie Sanders-endorsed Democrats across the country. And, worse yet, the ideology is seemingly inspired by American communist revolutionaries who gained notoriety during the late 1960s and early 1970s.

For Boudin, the ties that bind him to the violent leftist movement of the last century couldn’t be closer.

His adoptive parents are none other than Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, the notorious leaders of the communist-driven domestic terrorist group Weather Underground. Ayers was involved in the bombings of a New York police station, the U.S. Capitol, and the Pentagon in the early ’70s.

As a young adult pursuing a career in law, Boudin didn’t abandon the radical ideology of his upbringing; he embraced it by moving to Venezuela. Boudin served as a translator for Hugo Chavez, the communist dictator who dismantled the nation’s democracy and set the country on the path to its current state of socialism-induced economic collapse.

Now, as a Yale-educated attorney, Boudin has inexplicably found himself believing that he himself is the victim of a broken criminal justice system. As a result, he’s committed to radically transforming that system.

Of course, if this was just this one city’s district attorney with a wild, made-for-Netflix story, it probably wouldn’t be worth noting. But it’s much more than. This is exactly the kind of candidate Bernie Sanders — who has his own checkered past supporting communist dictators abroad — has been championing all over the country.

In 2018, one of Bernie’s most high-profile endorsements was of Andrew Gillum, the Democrat candidate for Governor of Florida. Bernie’s support propelled Gillum to a major upset in the Democratic primary. Gillum, who campaigned frequently alongside Sanders, signed the “Freedom Pledge” by a radical group whose extended statement on racial injustice calls for defunding prisons and police and proclaims “police were never meant to protect and serve me and you.” (Gillum has denied embracing its full agenda.)

Since losing the Democratic presidential nomination to Hillary Clinton in 2016, Bernie Sanders has waged a proxy war in Democratic primaries across the nation to nurture his radical agenda. Now Bernie is his own champion on the campaign trail. He is also, arguably, today’s frontrunner for the Democratic nomination. That should give every American pause.

Americans who think Bernie Sanders and could never implement the policies of his comrades in California and around the country at the federal level are wrong. They came less than half a percentage point away from victory in Florida and Georgia last cycle.

As President Reagan famously said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” He was right, because the road to communism is paved by the apathy of free people.

For criminals, actions should have consequences. That will also be true in 2020 at the ballot box when voters are provided a choice between protecting law and order or protecting criminals.

Will Police Enforce Virginia's Anti-Masking Law at Monday's Rally?

§ 18.2-422. Prohibition of wearing of masks in certain places; exception

It shall be unlawful for any person over 16 years of age to, with the intent to conceal his identity, wear any hood or other device whereby a substantial portion of the face is hidden or covered so as to conceal the identity of the wearer, to be or appear in any public place, or upon any private property in this Commonwealth without first having obtained from the owner or tenant thereof consent to do so in writing. [Exceptions include holiday masks, protective masks used by tradespeople, medical personnel, etc.] The violation of any provisions of this section is a Class 6 felony.

The risk of violence would be greatly reduced if Northam or police authorities cited the statute and declared that wearing a mask in or around the demonstration would be grounds for arrest. That would eliminate the cloak of anonymity used by the left’s shock troops to avoid responsibility for their actions.

So, why isn’t this message being proclaimed? Have police been told to ignore the law and stand down on masks? If so, why? Inquiring minds want to know.

The fact is, there is nothing on the Virginia Rally agenda that is time sensitive. There is no impending bill. There is no impending court case. There is no impending false flag.

They could have this lobby effort in 30 days and it would have much the same effect.

HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - At least two Honolulu police officers were killed Sunday morning in a shooting near Diamond Head, law enforcement sources told Hawaii News Now.

Meanwhile, a house fire apparently started by the suspect in the shooting has spread to at least four high-end homes in the area. The flames and thick smoke is visible for miles.

The circumstances that led up to the shooting remain unclear.

But sources tell Hawaii News Now that the suspect in the shooting was being evicted Sunday morning and allegedly stabbed his landlord.

Police responding to the stabbing at a home on Hibiscus Drive were met with gunfire.

And then the suspect apparently set fire to the home. Those flames spread quickly to several nearby homes as firefighters weren’t able to gain access.

Authorities have not said whether the suspect has been arrested or shot. But police on scene don’t appear to actively looking for a suspect.

Sources told HNN that the officers shot at the home were initially taken to the Queen’s Medical Center in extremely critical condition.

Dozens of police officers, including Honolulu Police Chief Susan Ballard, were seen arriving at the hospital en masse as the patients were transported away from the Diamond Head scene.

One witness at the scene told HNN that rescuers could be seen performing CPR on an officer in the immediate aftermath of the shooting.

Soon after the shooting incident was reported, the home believed to be the scene of the shooting caught fire and became fully engulfed in flames.

Witnesses in the area say the fire has spread to at least four other nearby homes in the area, and Honolulu firefighters were staging nearby while waiting for police officials, who have control of the scene, to give the all-clear.

Several vehicles, including a marked Honolulu Police Department vehicle, were also on fire.

Videos taken at the scene of the fire appeared to include the sound of gunfire from within the home as it burned, though shots from the home were not confirmed.

A youth tennis tournament near Kapiolani Park was canceled because of the nearby shooting. Officers do not believe the shooter was in the park, but put up yellow caution tape as a precautionary measure to keep the area clear.

Trump Blasts "Brazen, Unlawful" Coup Attempt After House Files "Framers' Worst Nightmare" Legal Brief

Ahead of Tuesday's opening arguments in the Senate impeachment trial, House Democrats - seven impeachment managers led by Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff - filed their legal brief today. The 111-page summons urges the Senate to "eliminate the threat that the President poses to America’s national security" as it lays out the case against President Trump. The House legal filing (due by 5pmET) reiterates the findings of the House Intelligence and Judiciary panels, which, after hearing from witnesses and experts, settled on charging Trump with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Additionally, the case that House prosecutors sent to the Senate references new evidence that wasn’t part of the impeachment inquiry, including material from Lev Parnas, an associate of Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, according to Democratic officials familiar with the argument. “The evidence overwhelmingly establishes that he is guilty of both. The only remaining question is whether the members of the Senate will accept and carry out the responsibility placed on them by the Framers of our Constitution and their constitutional Oaths,” the brief reads. “History will judge each Senator’s willingness to rise above partisan differences, view the facts honestly, and defend the Constitution.” Compiled by the seven Democrats serving as impeachment managers, the brief describes the president’s conduct as “the Framer’s worst nightmare” in arguing that he should be impeached and removed from office. “President Trump’s ongoing pattern of misconduct demonstrates that he is an immediate threat to the Nation and the rule of law. It is imperative that the Senate convict and remove him from office now, and permanently bar him from holding federal office,” they write.

President Trump's legal team outlined the fiery response to its impeachment summons, calling the two articles of impeachment passed by the House last month “a dangerous attack on the right of the American people to freely choose their president.” The six-page document - which they stressed is different from the brief that is not due until Monday - offers a taste of the rhetoric expected to be deployed by the president’s defenders in the Senate. “This is a brazen and unlawful attempt to overturn the results of the 2016 election and interfere with the 2020 election, now just months away,” the filing states. Trump’s legal team, led by White House counsel Pat Cipollone and Trump personal lawyer Jay Sekulow, is challenging the impeachment on both procedural and constitutional grounds, claiming Trump has been mistreated by House Democrats and that he did nothing wrong.

Notably, at least four of the impeachment managers, including Schiff, are scheduled to appear Sunday on political talk shows. Former Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) told Fox News this week that he predicts President Donald Trump’s Senate trial will be short and that the president’s best defense is a review of the transcript. “President Trump has done nothing wrong and is confident that this team will defend him, the voters, and our democracy from this baseless, illegitimate impeachment,” White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham said in a statement on Friday night.

Sara Gideon Raked in Nearly $20,000 From Lobbyists Before Pushing New Anti-Lobbyist Pledge

Sara Gideon, the Democratic challenger to Sen. Susan Collins (R., Maine), vows to combat lobbyists in a newly released campaign finance reform plan, but her campaign has accepted nearly $20,000 from more than two dozen lobbyists.

Between April 1 and Sept. 30, 2018, the Gideon campaign raked in $18,310 from 28 individuals who work directly with special interest groups or at firms that spend big on lobbying activities, filings show. A majority of the donations came from individuals in the Washington, D.C., metro area.

Gideon’s reform agenda, released Wednesday, seeks to counter lobbyists' influence. Gideon, who is currently the speaker of Maine's House of Representatives, promises to refuse gifts, meals, and trips from anyone working on behalf of special interests. Her plan also rejects corporate PAC money, calls for the disclosure of dark money donors, and backs a lifetime ban on former members working as lobbyists once they’re out of office.

"Washington is clearly broken—politicians are too responsive to their wealthy donors and corporate special interests, promoting their agendas over the people they were elected to represent," Gideon's plan states. "Lawmakers and staff in Washington frequently skirt the rules to rub elbows with powerful lobbyists. No one should be evading ethics rules to attend lavish receptions held to sway elected officials."

While Gideon pledges to steer away from special interests, her campaign has already collected thousands of dollars from lobbyists.

Two lobbyists from Gideon's state who donated to the campaign, Richard Trahey and Ann Mitchell, have both lobbied on several bills in the state legislature while Gideon has been in office. Trahey has lobbied on acts to authorize tribal gambling and to restore revenue sharing, while Mitchell has lobbied on acts in relation to hiring immigrants through flexible certification and regulating employee benefit excess insurance, among many other bills.

Gideon's new reform plan also calls for overturning the Citizens United Supreme Court case, which allows corporations and labor unions to spend unlimited sums on political advertisements.

Gideon is rejecting corporate PAC donations and plans to make it a central issue in the race. The Collins campaign has hit Gideon over hypocrisy on the issue, saying that she has already accepted such donations through Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer's (D., N.Y.) PAC. Gideon also received money directly from corporations and corporate PACs through her state-level PAC.

The plan also touts Gideon's support of the DISCLOSE Act, which would "crack down" on dark money groups by requiring them to disclose their donors.

Gideon, however, has received outside help from Maine Momentum, a dark money group working to oust Collins from office. Maine Momentum has topped $2 million in spending so far. Majority Forward, also a dark money group that is closely tied to the Senate Majority PAC, which works to elect Democrats to the Senate, has spent at least $750,000. The race is expected to be one of the most expensive in the country.

Gideon's campaign did not respond to requests for comment.

I may have a new perspective on the '43 confirmed connections' mentioned in Q225.

I have programmatically connected 43 drops (made pre-Q225) to Trump tweets during the same time period by extracting the capital letters from Trump's tweets and matching them against the capital letters in Q drops.

The same logic can be applied to all drops past Q225 as well, but I'm just trying to validate the first 43 to see if the theory holds water.

To me, the resulting statistic indicate there may be something here:

For time period 2017-10-28 through 2017-11-24:

227 drops by Q

227 tweets by Trump

There are 43 Q Drops that map to 30 Trump Tweets:

23 drops map uniquely 1:1 drop:tweet

17 drops map to the same tweet

3 drops map to multiple tweets

Maybe it's nothing, but I started to pay closer attention when I saw:

In attempting to decode the connections myself, I have found there is a common theme among the tweets for the cases where one drop maps to multiple tweets.

In the prior quarter, 65% of Utah Republicans supported Romney, and while a majority still do presently, that number sank to 57%.

On the bright side, he’s making news friends to partially replace the Republicans and Independents who are scorning him. He’s up 4% among Utah Democrats.

The impeachment vote in the House went mostly along party lines with a few Democrats voting against it, joining every Republican in Congress. But in the Senate, there are still people like Romney, Lisa Murkowski, and Susan Collins who may go against the party, the President, and the nation by supporting the Democrats in their ongoing attempt to redo the 2016 election. But this is more than just replaying a past election. Impeachment is about setting the state for the 2020 election as well.

If Mitt Romney sides with Democrats on this unambiguously political impeachment debacle, it’s time for Republicans to renounce him en masse. He should just register as a Democrat and stop this charade that he’s a conscientious conservative.

Anons, I'm going to repeat something I said a couple of days ago on Day Shift, with some additional thoughts. Since I'm not sure that this will get through, I may repost several times in hopes that it does.

First, what's happening now? It is obvious the board is under attack, and this attack might be sustained. What is likely to happen tomorrow? Clearly, a FF at the 2A protest in Richmond.

In that event, the supposed "shooter's manifesto" was posted to 8ch. The narrative that ~developed~ centered around the shooter posting it on 8ch just before the attack.

Anons who were here that day know that's not true. El Paso PD posted a twat around 10:07 local about reports of an active shooter at the intersection where the Walmart was located. That twat was later deleted, and EPPD posted a revised twat with a different time, THAT THEY LATER MODIFIED.

The DS worked hard that day to cover up shit because they couldn't get their timestamps right, not once but twice. Unfortunately, and I've looked a couple of times really hard, it does not appear that ANYONE captured that original EPPD twat. It was proof that completely killed their narrative.

So, with that recollection in mind, I posted a request to Anons that tomorrow we stay especially vigilant. No matter how irrelevant it may seem, if you see something that is related to the 2A rally and/or FF attacks there, please please please (in this order):

1. Archive it online

2. Screencap and archive offline

3. Post here (if you can)

I think this attack on the board is a practice run for tomorrow, or even possibly a continuing attack to prevent us from uncovering their fuckery tomorrow.

Doug Collins: House Democratic leader's remark about letting Trump 'prove innocence' should alarm Americans

House Judiciary Committee ranking member Doug Collins, R-Ga., said Democrats are exposing their true contempt for the Constitution and the individual rights therein with how they are conducting the impeachment of President Trump.

In an interview airing Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on "Life, Liberty & Levin," Collins said Trump was overtly denied the same due process afforded to every other American under the Constitution, adding that House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., made an alarming statement to that effect.

Hoyer, the number-two Democrat in the House, defended the House's impeachment inquiry last month by remarking that Trump was afforded "every opportunity to prove his innocence."

"Instead, he ignored Congressional subpoenas for documents and for testimony by White House officials and ordered his subordinates not to cooperate. This itself is unprecedented," Hoyer claimed.

Collins told host Mark Levin that no American has to prove their innocence - in fact, the burden of proof falls on the opposite party.

"Mr. Hoyer from Maryland ... made a very revealing statement for anybody who's concerned about Constitutional rights - and especially for me - even those of my Democratic counterparts who worry about their communities, where they discuss police action and rights being violated," he said.

"It's amazing to me how they're willingly setting that aside to come up to this - Steny Hoyer actually said 'we allowed him every opportunity to come prove his innocence,'."

Collins said the comment was mindblowing in that it seemed that Congress must have "taken a vacation and le[ft] the United States."

"Did we all of a sudden suspend the Bill of Rights?" Collins asked. "Did we suspend any modicum of due process?"

Collins said Democrats like Hoyer are creating a dangerous precedent in that people can effectively accuse other people of offenses and force them to "prove your innocence."

"I don't care if you think this president ought to be impeached or not. This is irrelevant. This should bother everybody," he said.

Collins added that in addition to apparently reversing the burden of proof standard, Democrats have denied Trump the ability to call witnesses or present evidence in his own defense. Instead, Reps. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y. strictly controlled the two House hearings.

However, Collins appeared hopeful that the Republican-controlled U.S. Senate will uphold the rule of law and offer Trump the same rights as any defendant.

"I think the American people are going to go back and see that the senators are going to look at it and the Senate is going to say, 'Wait, this is what we're getting? ... This is what you have wasted so much time and now put us in a period of time in which we've got to do something?'" Collins said.

Florida's Supreme Court dashes Democrats' hopes

In the 2018 midterm elections, Florida voters approved Amendment Four, which went into effect on January 8, 2019. The amendment restored voting rights for people convicted of felonies (excluding murder or felony sex offenses) as long as they completed their sentences. Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis subsequently signed legislation to that effect. But it states that to “complete their sentences,” felons must pay all fines, fees, and restitution to victims before having their voting rights restored. As expected, various voting and civil rights groups strongly opposed this law and filed suit in federal court, where they alleged that the “payment” requirement unconstitutionally prevented prior felons from voting solely based on their inability to pay such fines. They also asserted that Amendment Four provided for the automatic restoration of voting rights and did not mandate any payments.

Given the sharply divided opinions on this issue, DeSantis asked the Florida Supreme Court to provide an advisory opinion as to whether the phrase “completion of all terms of sentence” in Amendment Four encompassed fines, fees, restitution, and other financial obligations imposed in a sentencing order. He did not ask the court to rule on the constitutionality of the new law. On Thursday, the Florida Supreme Court issued its long-awaited advisory opinion, in which it sided with DeSantis. As set forth in the majority opinion:

There is no basis to conclude that ‘all terms of sentence’ excludes any LFOs ordered by the sentencing judge. Indeed, an abundance of statutory and case law supports the conclusion that fines, restitution, and fees and costs all comfortably fit within the ordinary meaning of ‘all terms of sentence.

In other words, the Supreme Court opined that legal financial obligations are part of a sentence and must be paid before voting rights can be restored under Amendment Four. According to the majority: '''“Beginning with restitution, this Court has referred to that obligation as part of a ‘sentence,’ and even as ‘punishment.’ “An analysis of fines looks remarkably similar. Indeed, this Court has referred to fines as part of a ‘sentence” “Although fees and costs can reasonably be said to differ in many respects from restitution and fines, various court pronouncements and statutory provisions similarly support including them within the scope of Amendment 4’s phrase ‘all terms of sentence.”"'

This opinion is advisory and nonbinding in nature. But it dashes the hopes of Democrats, who were expecting approximately 1.4 million people to suddenly gain eligibility to vote in Florida elections and to vote Democratic. Given the court’s recent advisory opinion, that suddenly seems unlikely. Of course, the Florida Supreme Court did not rule on the constitutionality of the new law. As a matter of fact, there is at least one pending federal lawsuit challenging its constitutionality, as some claim it to be an unconstitutional form of wealth discrimination or even an unconstitutional poll tax. But for now, the state Supreme Court’s advisory opinion stands, and it could prove very important come November.

Poll: Trump Approval Among Farmers Hits Record High at 83%

Support for President Donald Trump among American farmers is on the rise, according to a new poll released this week. According to the latest Farm Journal Pulse Poll, which featured responses from 1,286 farmers, President Trump received an approval rating of 83 percent, a point higher than the previous poll. Only 18 percent disapprove of President Trump. Since Farm Journal’s tracking of Trump’s support from farmers in recent months, the latest poll marks his highest approval.

“Of note is the strongly approve category went up three percentage points from an already lofty (December) number and his highest overall approval ratings ever,” said Pro Farmer policy analyst Jim Wiesemeyer. “That says the president’s approval is rock-solid,” Wiesemeyer added. “With the recent upbeat news on USMCA and the Phase 1 accord with China, the ratings will likely remain firm ahead.” Farmers who stated they “strongly approve” of President Trump rose to 64 percent in January, up from 61 percent at the end of 2019. A mere 19 percent said they “somewhat approve” of President Trump’s performance, while only three percent said they “somewhat disapprove.”

“Trump needs the rural vote to keep the same states he won in 2016 in his win column come November,” Wiesemeyer said. “In fact, contacts say he is focusing on winning Minnesota this time as a backstop should he lose a state he won in 2016. That means agriculture will continue to be a key topic in the president’s re-election campaign.” In accordance with the latest poll results, President Trump also spoke at the American Farm Bureau Federation’s annual convention in Austin, Texas, where he praised the many accomplishments of American farmers.

HONG KONG (Reuters) - A prominent Hong Kong pro-democracy activist was arrested by police, his organization said on Monday, after a protest he helped organize in the financial district a day earlier turned violent with officers firing tear gas to disperse the crowds.

Ventus Lau was arrested on Sunday evening on charges of “obstruction of police administration” and violating terms set when permission was granted for the protest, the Hong Kong Civil Assembly Team said in a statement.

The organizers initially applied for a permit - known as a letter of no objection - for a march, but the police only agreed to a static rally in a park in the city’s Central district.

But as the crowds swelled and spilled onto surrounding streets, some protesters briefly barricaded roads with umbrellas, traffic cones and other street furniture and dug up bricks from the pavement.

Police then ordered a halt to the protest and began dispersing the crowd.

“It was primarily rioters’ violent acts which led to the suspension of the gathering,” Senior Superintendent Ng Lok-chun told reporters.

“The organizer has violated the agreements set in the no objection letter, failed to assist in maintaining the order in the public gathering event, that is why we have arrested Mr. Lau.”

Police said two community liaison officers were attacked with wooden sticks and sustained head injuries. They also said some protesters threw water bottles at officers conducting a ‘stop and search’ operation.

In a statement late on Sunday, the government said it “strongly condemns” the attack on the police officers.

The “Universal Siege Against Communism” demonstration was the latest in a relentless series of anti-government protests since June, when Hong Kongers took to the streets to voice their anger over a now-withdrawn extradition bill.

Organizers said 150,000 attended the demonstration, while police estimated a crowd of 11,680 at its peak.

INTEL REPORT WARNS US TROOPS IN GERMANY FACE 'POSSIBLE IMMINENT' THREAT OF ATTACK

he United States has received intelligence regarding a potentially imminent attack being planned against its military personnel stationed in Germany, according to an official memo seen by Newsweek.

The U.S.'s 66th Military Intelligence Brigade received what was described as "third party information stating there was an [sic] possible imminent attack against U.S. Soldiers located at either Tower Barracks in Grafenwohr or Tower Barracks, Dulmen, exact location, date and time unknown." Newsweek reviewed the information marked unclassified from a senior U.S. intelligence official.

"The source of information stated the attack would be carried out by an unknown Jordanian extremist currently located in Germany near an unknown military base," the report continued. "The unknown Jordanian was described as a loyalist to the Jordanian kinglet and recently advocated killing U.S. soldiers in Germany."

Rep. Jason Crow, D-Colo., will be one of the seven Democratic impeachment managers prosecuting President Trump this week in his Senate trial. However, he seems a tad unclear on what the trial is about or at least what the defendant is facing as the allegations of impeachable conduct. Crow declared on CNN’s State of the Union that Trump was really guilty of bribery. The problem is that bribery was rejected as an article of impeachment. Not only is it grossly unfair to go to trial while alluding to uncharged conduct, it is especially bizarre when the Supreme Court seems prepared to reaffirm the very case law that I cited earlier in rejecting such expansive interpretations.

The group organizing today’s gun rally in Richmond, Virginia, has issued a last-minute alert warning of threats against its speakers.

“One of our members with access to police intelligence has advised us that specific threats have been uncovered to three of the speakers at the rally. Yet, just a few days ago, when specifically asked about any such threats, the Capitol Police denied knowing of any and have not shared any such information to date,” said the alert from the Virginia Citizens Defense League.

Bureaucrats at various Japanese government ministries and agencies have raised questions about the retention period of guest lists for annual cherry blossom-viewing parties hosted by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe being set at less than one year at the Cabinet Secretariat and the Cabinet Office, leading the lists to be allegedly discarded immediately after the parties were over. The two agencies have explained that they disposed of the guest lists for the tax-funded sakura parties held in 2018 and 2019 after designating the exceptionally short retention period. Those lists come in two types - one a list of people nominated as guests to the sakura functions by the Cabinet Secretariat and other agencies, and the other a list of those who were actually invited to the parties. The Cabinet Secretariat and the Cabinet Office are the only agencies that adopted the short storage period for both types of rosters.

The Cabinet Secretariat's lists of nominated guests include those who were recommended by Prime Minister Abe and the ruling parties to invite to the sakura functions, while the Cabinet Office's lists of invitees include those recommended by the Cabinet Secretariat and other government bodies.

While the Cabinet Secretariat and the Cabinet Office explained that they set the under-a-year retention period for those rosters after revisions were made to document management rules, other government bodies that have responded to Mainichi Shimbun inquiries said that on their watch they had set the storage period for the nominees' lists at three to 10 years. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs declined to answer.

"Any way you look at it, it is strange to discard the name lists," said an employee of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. "Cherry blossom-viewing parties are official events where people of merit from various sectors are invited and recognized for their constant efforts. It is necessary to verify whether people were invited in accordance with the purpose of the parties in evaluating the appropriateness of the budget allocation. The guest lists provide a basis for such verifications and they shouldn't be discarded."

4.5 magnitude earthquake shakes southern Kansas

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (AP) — A small earthquake was reported in southern Kansas on Sunday.

The U.S. Geological Survey said a magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck about 2 miles (3 kilometers) southwest of Hutchinson shortly after 1 p.m. The service had initially reported that it was a magnitude 4.4 earthquake, but later upgraded it. No damage was immediately reported.

The earthquake happened near where several others have happened before in Reno County, The Hutchinson News reported.

Kansas began seeing a spike in earthquakes in 2014 that were blamed on wastewater injection wells from oil and gas production. The number of quakes began tapering off after oil prices dropped and regulations were enacted.

The Impeachment ‘Kill Switch’: McConnell Dismissal Rule Corners Democrats, Blocks Antics as Trial Commences

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is as of now including in the U.S. Senate impeachment trial rules a “kill switch” that effectively allows for the president’s legal team to seek an immediate verdict or dismissal of the case should Democrats engage in any shenanigans like they did in the House process. The revelation comes after the House finally late last week formally sent the Articles of Impeachment it adopted before Christmas—after holding them for more than a month without transmission—to the U.S. Senate, thereby triggering the start of a Senate trial. The Senate will formally commence its trial procedures in votes this coming week, and while some Republicans want to outright dismiss the charges altogether from the outset, others believe a trial should take place.

In so finally transmitting the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also named impeachment case managers—the Democrats who will present and manage the House’s case to the Senate—last week. They include House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY). Both Schiff and Nadler were widely panned for the highly unfair process they ran in the House of Representatives, and many Senate Republicans do not trust them to refrain from playing games that seek to make the Senate trial unfair to the president as the highly partisan process in the House ended up. Republicans on the House side, who were essentially powerless to stop the Democrats’ shenanigans since they are in the minority in the lower chamber, are warning Senate Republicans to be on the lookout for Schiff’s gamesmanship and that from his ilk. “It’s incumbent upon the Senate to preserve the right of the President’s legal team to ask for a verdict or move to dismiss this sham impeachment anytime they see fit during the Senate trial,” a source close to House GOP leadership told Breitbart News. “Otherwise, Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans risk allowing Adam Schiff and his conspiracy caucus to hijack and take control of the trial.”

Senate GOP leaders, including Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO)—the conference chair—say there are not yet enough votes to dismiss the charges altogether from the outset. But Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO), a freshman senator who emerged as a top ally of the president and had previously drafted a measure dismissing the charges if the House did not formally transmit them by changing Senate rules to do so, has said that the rules package for the impeachment trial includes a measure that allows for the president’s legal team to quickly push for a summary judgment or dismissal at any time should things get wild.

Hawley’s original measure that would have dismissed the charges altogether before the House formally transmitted them to the Senate by changing Senate rules was co-sponsored by several GOP senators including McConnell—the GOP leader—and thereby forced Pelosi’s hand, making her finally transmit the Articles after holding them up for a month.

China Reports 3rd Death, 136 New Infections, Due to Viral Pneumonia

Chinese authorities on Jan. 19 reported one new death as a result of a viral pneumonia. Also, another 136 patients were infected, raising the global number of infections to more than 200.

That is the largest increase since the virus first emerged in the central Chinese city of Wuhan in late December.

The pneumonia disease has killed three so far, all from Wuhan.

The Imperial College London’s Medical Research Council Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis released a report on Jan. 17, in which researchers estimated that 1,723 people in Wuhan could potentially have the illness.

The calculation was based on the number of infection cases outside of China, the number of passengers at the Wuhan airport, daily international passengers flying out of Wuhan, and the number of days before the international cases are discovered.

A United Kingdom woman was left stunned after she snapped an "eerie" photo of a cloud some say looks like Jesus.

Caroline Hawthorne was making a cup of tea at her house Jan. 4 in West Midlands, England, when she spotted the image outside her kitchen window, Daily Mail reported.

"It was really odd — the sky was quite cloudy and there was this weird cloud formation," Hawthorne said after sending the photo to friends and family.

A strange cloud spotted by Caroline Hawthorne over her house in Birmingham which she says looks like a looming Jesus figure.

She added, "People have been telling me it looks like an angel or Jesus with his arms outstretched."

Hawthorne said the Saturday morning clouds looked like a tornado but she wanted to grab a photo on her iPhone before it disappeared.

"It was so bizarre and I've never seen anything like it," she said.

This isn't the first time believers have claimed to see their Savior depicted in nature.

In May, a man in Argentina took a photo of sunlight shining through the clouds that look like an image of Christ. Then in March, a similar image was captured by a man in Italy during sunset and in April, a Lynchburg, Va. woman, said she saw Jesus in the rocks on a walk in the woods.

Earlier this month CNN agreed to settle a lawsuit with Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann, but the amount of the settlement was concealed from the public.

Sandmann’s lawyers filed an $800 million lawsuit against CNN, WaPo and NBC Universal after the outlets used a selectively edited video to make Nick Sandmann and his fellow Covington friends look like they harassed Nathan Phillips, a Native American who attended the Indigenous Peoples March in DC.

Sandmann’s lawyer Lin Wood told Fox News last year that “CNN was probably more vicious in its direct attacks on Nicholas than The Washington Post. And CNN goes into millions of individuals’ homes.”

“They really went after Nicholas with the idea that he was part of a mob that was attacking the Black Hebrew Israelites, yelling racist slurs at the Black Hebrew Israelites. Totally false,” Wood said last year as he was preparing to sue CNN. “Now you say you’ve seen the tape; if you took the time to look at the full context of what happened that day, Nicholas Sandmann did absolutely nothing wrong. He was, as I’ve said to others, he was the only adult in the room. But you have a situation where CNN couldn’t resist the idea that here’s a guy with a young boy, that Make America Great Again cap on. So they go after him.”

The $250 million lawsuit against WaPo is still working its way through the legal system after WaPo failed to get the case dismissed.

On Monday Attorney Lin Wood issued a warning to Twitter founder Jack Dorsey on increasing censorship of conservative voices.

Chief Justice Roberts Roped Into Battle Over Impeachment Witnesses

As the Senate prepares to begin the President Trump's impeachment trial on Tuesday, Chief Justice John Roberts faces pressure from both sides over the issue of witnesses.

Roberts, who was officially sworn in for his role on Thursday, has offered no clues as to how he will approach the situation - which is particularly relevant in the event of a tie-breaking vote. Of note, some Republicans have argued that Roberts should not be able to break a tie on this issue.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) told The Hill she has received briefing materials from former senators who participated in the 1999 Clinton trial arguing Roberts should not be able to break a tie.

So far, she is still thinking about what his role should be.

“It’s my understanding that if it’s a tie, it fails,” she said, summarizing the briefing paper.

Sen. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) said it would be odd for the chief justice to decide procedural questions that have become very politicized in recent weeks.

“This is a Senate procedure,” he said. “In a committee, if you have a tie vote you don’t prevail. And that’s what would happen here, I would think.” -The Hill

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) argued that Roberts should be able to break a 50-50 tie on a major procedural question, such as key witnesses.

"It seems to me it should," she said. "Tie vote is essentially a no on whatever the issue is. I’m not sure in this kind of situation that the body wants to sustain immobility, that you can’t move out of it. So something ought to break a tie."

Democrats have argued that a trial wouldn't be fair without witnesses - just not Hunter or Joe Biden, or Rudy Giuliani, or former Ukrainian prosecutors, or anyone else at the heart of Ukrainegate.

Republicans have suggested that if Roberts rules on witnesses, he will be required to recuse himself from any Supreme Court decisions related to Trump invoking executive privilege over potential witnesses John Bolton and acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney - who oversaw a pause in US aid to Ukraine as the head of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

"I don’t know how you have a serious trial unless you hear from witnesses who know in fact what the facts are, what happened," said Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), adding "I think it would be appropriate for the chief justice to do what I think should be done, and that is to allow witnesses to testify."

While Roberts is expected to refer major disputes over trial procedures to the entire Senate for a vote, some Democrats hope he will make his own rulings on what they say are basic questions of fair jurisprudence.

Democrats argue that holding a trial but blocking the consideration of relevant witness testimony and document review would fall well short of what’s considered a fair trial in any court of law.

“We’ve been working to get an agreement with Republicans about the relevant witnesses for the trial and relevant documents and we’re continuing that effort,” said Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.). “Those types of questions will have to be considered as the trial proceeds.” -The Hill

New Bill to Allow Cops to Detain Citizens, Force Them to Explain Who They Are, What They’re Doing

Kentucky — An ominous bill that is currently making its way through the Kentucky Senate aims to give police unprecedented unconstitutional powers. These new powers will allow cops to stop anyone they want and demand that person tell them who they are, where they are going, and explain their actions. Naturally, it has civil rights advocates up in arms, but it doesn’t seem to be slowing down the bill’s momentum.

Police merely need to make an unsubstantiated claim that a person is involved in criminal activity which gives them free reign to stop that person, demand his name, home address and age — as well as ask to see his driver’s license, if he has one — and tell him to explain what he is presently doing “to the satisfaction of the officer.”

If you invoke your constitutional right not to answer the officer’s questions, this new bill grants cops the right to detain you for two hours. Even more ominous is the fact that this detainment is not considered an arrest so you have no right to an attorney and police don’t even have to record it. This non-arrest grey area detention will undoubtedly be rife for abuse.

Nevertheless, advocates for the police state tyranny say cops must have this new ability—to keep us safe. As Kentucky.com reports, Sen. Stephen Meredith, R-Leitchfield, said Grayson County law enforcement officials asked him for the bill after a number of local incidents showed the need for it.

“If a man acts suspicious, then why wouldn’t you want to know what his name is?” Meredith said in an interview. “I can’t imagine any legitimate reason in the world why a person would refuse to give their name and photo identification to a police officer if they were asked.”

In other words, if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear…or, in other words, submit to the police state. Wrong!

Well Sen. Meredith, we’d like to educate you in why a person would refuse to talk to police—because it is our right not to! Legislation like this is straight out of the playbook of every tyranny in history. Remember “Ihre Papiere, Bitte”?

That phrase often brought shudders to the people who heard it in the 1930s and ’40s. It is German for “Your papers, please,” and this bill is nearly identical to that sinister Nazi policy.

Pedophile Cop Gets 12 Years for Running Horrifying Child Porn Network That Included Infants

Souderton, PA — A former Army veteran and police officer was convicted on multiple counts for being a distributor and possessing over 4,000 images of the most disturbing child pornography. Matthew Laver, 38, of Souderton, PA was violating the laws he was sworn to uphold while taking a paycheck as a law enforcement officer. On Thursday, this disgusting villain was sentenced to 12 years in prison. While it may not seem like a very long sentence, it is a significant amount of time considering most cops in his position do little to no time behind bars.

“This is an appalling case,” U.S. Attorney William McSwain said in a statement. “The defendant was a member of a law enforcement organization charged with enforcing the law and protecting the public, but he was actually a child predator.”

Even though Laver had quit the police force in Montgomery County three years before being arrested and convicted, prosecutors were quick to point out his addiction to kiddie porn dated back to his time in the Army and throughout his service as a law enforcement officer.

Laver’s child porn stash was located on his phone, his external hard drive as well as his computer. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Assistant U.S. Attorney Eileen Castillo Zelek stated in court filings:

While responsible for enforcing the law, Laver himself was flagrantly violating it, and preying upon the most vulnerable of victims — young children.

Some of those children were infants who were sexually exploited on film for Laver’s pleasure and distribution. It’s unclear at this point to whom the former soldier and police officer was sharing his horrific content. First Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams stated:

The harm caused by child exploitation is devastating and long-lasting, which is why we prosecute these cases aggressively…In this case, the conduct was particularly egregious because the defendant was a member of a law enforcement organization charged with enforcing the law. We stand ready with our federal and local partners to identify and prosecute all those who would prey upon minor children.

The prosecution is a result of the collaborative work of many agencies as a part of Project Safe Childhood. Marlon V. Miller, Special Agent in charge of HSI Philadelphia said:

Law enforcement officers take an oath to serve and protect, thus our conduct must be beyond reproach…Homeland Security Investigations special agents worked closely with our law enforcement partners to further prevent this perpetrator from victimizing children by distributing images of sexual assault.

While he was a police officer, Laver spent 10 years online disseminating his collection of horrifying child porn which depicted sexual assault and rape of children as young as infants. According to MDJonline:

The initial investigation of Laver began in September 2018 when Bucks County authorities shared information with Montgomery County detectives about child pornography allegedly being downloaded from a computer at Laver’s home.

On July 30 into July 31, investigators using a file-sharing program connected to Laver’s computer and downloaded nine files containing child pornography, Beaghley alleged in the original criminal complaint. All of the files contained videos or images depicting children under 18 engaged in sexual acts or poses, according to the arrest affidavit.
