Sometimes all we need to read is a little encouragement by a kindred spirit.

This board has amazing writefags, and OC is the lifeblood of the board, however, some people long to see stories about their waifus that writefags don't normally do.

In the same spirit as a Drawthread, this is for Violated Heroes to request stories they'd like to see written, or for new and old writefags to link their work for critique, or for others to enjoy.Shilling is encouraged!

If you have large amounts of text, or are running an update to stories, please consider posting it all to a pastebin and posting here when it is updated or finished.

Please keep things on topic. It's fine to talk about stories, characters, plots, etc, but keep the blog-posting out of here.

unless it’s of a matango or something

AHHAHAHAHhahaha—yeaaaahhhh, what loser what do something like?

Me

I was thinking about how to present the matango in acceptable way via a story focusing on a group of matango, maybe led by a mad hatter, and I'd use mostly headcannon and merely glean what I need or find acceptable from the profile. I won't do it if it will cause too much fuss though, so none of you have to worry about me shoving shitty fetishes on this board. I've been fascinated by mushrooms and I actually like the matango design despite KC's shitty writing, so making a story about a wholesome mushroom girl has been a thing for me for a while.

Again, I won't do it if it will start a riot here, since I'm not intending to support the brain dead body snatchers that the profile implies.

>You sneak up behind him and lean in for his kiss.

Anyone have any advice for getting back into writefagging? I haven't put anything up in almost a year according to my pastebin, and rewatching youtube videos is starting to not help in curbing my boredom when I don't have work.

I have nine story ideas I could be using, plus doing a rewrite of two of my stories I made earlier, PLUS an idea for a CYOA (but I'm hesitant on that since the last CYOA I did went poorly imo), but I just can't seem to find the motivation to transform ideas in my head into words in a word document.

well i'd have to spend an hour or two writing some stuff up for the OP post and figuring out how i want to consider suggestions/which one "wins" and maybe a system on how much NPCs like/dislike the PC

i at least have an idea for the overall story and some vague idea for the relationship meter, but i dont have much more than "here's anon, try to do x before y happens"

Roll a D6 and assign numbers to the suggestions as they are posted.

For the NPC's? Make a sliding scale of 0-100. Base the gain and loss of affection on how much each npc values each action.

I was more thinking of 1d20, with 1 being crit fail and 20 being crit success (with 1 beating all other rolls regardless, and 20 beating everything), and perhaps a reroll system as well just in case

as for relationship, i was thinking of a 0-100 scale, with certain sections/blocks of numbers being different "tiers" so to speak, and NPCs would be more willing to do something/the roll needed (purely arbitrary and based on what i come up with at that moment) if they were at a certain tier, and then depending on the action done their affection either goes up or down a certain amount of points

i could also have a sort of "prep thread" or start the CYOA off with a bit of prep/PC creation before dumping the first wall of text for the story, and figure shit out with the whole relationship/diceroll thing then too

Owen was drinking his Guinness at his usual spot in the bar when the door opened. Normally Owen would only take a quick glance to see who it was before returning to his drink, but this was different. The boy who was standing in the doorway couldn’t be any older than 15, the smoke made it difficult to tell from across the bar, but Owen could tell he was young.

Owen returned to his drink but kept watched him from the corner of his eye. Anything unusual was almost always trouble. While the kid was talking to the bartender Owen double tapped the side of his head and activated his companion. “Run his face against any local bounties or warrants.” Owen did not want another run in with the marshals. At least one of them was going to remember him from the last time.

Whatever they were talking about Owen couldn’t make out but he had seen money switch hands. Owen didn’t know what Frank could know that the kid would want. The worst Frank was guilty of was smuggling alcohol, being his supplier Owen would know if he did anything else illicit. When The kid started walking towards him is when Owen became more confused. ‘This kid is definitely upper class’ he thought. ‘He holds himself up too straight, he’s too clean.’ ‘His skin is pale and his clothes are too fine.’

Standing in front of me he seemed almost hesitant, but this passed and he spoke firmly. “I want passage off world.”

My earpiece vibrated once in my ear. Meaning the kid had no bounties. Why would he want to be smuggled off world?

“Buzz off kid, I’ve got no time for games.”

He seemed rather indignant at being brushed off.

“This is no game sir. Name your price and I’ll pay it!”

Thinking for a moment, Owen decided that a high price will make the kid leave him in peace. “16,000 credits.” That was an obscene price, even for him. The job wouldn’t even be half as expensive. Now to get back to his drink-

“Done.” He said, “half will be paid now, and the other half will be paid upon arrival to our destination.” As he said this he reached into one of his pockets and withdrew a handful of 500 credit chips and put them in front of Owen.

Owen was silent a moment. He reached out and grabbed one of the chips to be sure it was real. And then counted them twice to be sure. 8,000 credits just like that. Enough to cover all his expenses for a couple months. Even if he didn’t see a penny after this the kid more than paid for himself.

“Alright.” He said nodding his head and pocketing the chips. “Where are we going?” He was half tempted to say ‘your lordship’ or something but decided he had enough attention from the other patrons. One of whom looked like they might cause trouble.

“I’ll give you the coordinates once we’ve reached orbit. Any other questions?”

“Just one. You’re a kid, no bounties or warrants out for you or anything. Why leave?”

“It’s a private matter, just get me to where I need to go and you’ll get your money.”

“Fair enough I guess. Follow me.”

Walking towards the exit he gave frank a 50 chit for his tab, and made his way out the bar into the cool summer night.

Well… I've only recently come across the notion that writers are readers and I can't really formulate a counter argument to that assertion so here's my drunken advice…

Stop trying to "write" and instead read for now. A lot. Like, a great amount of fiction. Consume it. Twice if at all possible as if you're really a writer at heart you'll pick up on how and why you loved that certain passage or that big plot twist. That emotional response you had that you really want to cause others to have? So that's how they did it! Yes! NICE!!! Now I can do the same with my own story!

Get a good and large amount of that type of knowledge. Get a big emotional payoff every so many thousand words if you can manage. You're 80 percent of the way towards being a "best-selling" author at that point.

>later at home

>while fighting some huge ape-like monsters (not the vuloptuous kind) I am reminded of Anne

>look up her species' crime statistics

>very low on the amount of rapes committed, the only one lower are the Dormice, but we all know why that is

>Watching a movie is bound to end up in messing around and stuff

>Anne's nice, but she is and remains a monster

>Keep things as they are. No movies, just vidya.

>"Ehh, I really want to play this game right now…"

>"Aww, alright.. I guess I'll play some games too"

>nice

>I mean, nice material. Gotta appreciate craftmanship. No impure thoughts here

>she stands there awkwardly hugging herself

<"Huh? Oh. Hm."

>she yelps in surprise as you show some assertiveness

>look down at her snowy-white hair and hear her fast breathing

>her sweet smell and warmth calms you

>you must calm her. Make her feel safe. You hug her tight to you and gently shush her

>kissing the top of her head you whisper to her and bid her to sleep

In depth review spoilered below:
Alright, if you actually have no experience in writefaggotry, you are doing amazing.

Anon is reasonable and realistic enough.

The way you portray his thought process and his slowly melting reservations feels natural and follows a neither too fast nor too slow process.

I saw a few small mistakes, but nothing immersion-breaking.

Perhaps the only weak point in this story was Anne's character being a little flat, Anon's fine, but the Waifu deserves a little more details,

small stuff like what kind of movies she likes, a favourite food, some silly obsession, small little insignificant flaws, to make her more "real".

Oh and a personal nitpick, Anon's money problem could be introduced earlier and might have benefitted from a "proper ending",

just a joke about how Anne lured the poor man with riches would have been enough, but that's really a minor issue.
I would greatly appreciate critisisim

My name is Annonette I am a cursed YSS AR-15 rifle, and this is my story.

It was one week before the gavel came down…

I was sitting by the kitchen counter when my husband came in with a manilla envelope, all giddy.

“Honey?” I ask, “is that…”

“From the ATF? yes.” his charming smile growing wider as he read the papers. “Yep, everything checks out, so that means…” he tilts the envelope towards the table and a metallic clink is heard. “Happy belated anniversary” I looked at the part. This is one of the most strictly controlled pieces of metal in existence, the only reason it could even be bought is that it was forged prior to 1986. This was an auto sear for an AR-15 rifle, bridging the gap between a semi-auto carbine like myself and a legitimate select-fire assault rifle. This is an expensive piece to obtain even without the seventeen $1000-a-pop background checks. My beloved sacrificed so much for this.

“Should I install this now?” My husband asked. “Of course!” I answered, “that ruling could go down anytime, might as well enjoy our magazines while we can.” I place my gun body on the table and walk my human body over to the couch to lie down. Though my soul is solely in my human body, whatever affects my gun self affects me. As the takedown pins connecting my upper reciever to my lower are removed, my arms and legs stop responding to my brain, lying still or hanging limply, the remote sensations of his hands disassembling my fire control group still felt between my legs, still, my mind keeps going back to the case at hand. And the assault weapons ban surrounding it.

Why were there no exemptions for “assault weapons” who happened to be cursed, or at least a good 2 years to acclimate myself to a new gun form instead of six months? Even when we are handled by others, we see through our sights and lock ourselves on safe if we can see we are going to be misused. Heck, we target/competition guns can feel the same shooting inanimate targets that our sword ancestors felt cutting flesh makes us the safest firearms in existence, the biggest “cost” to our inclusion is a private room for us and our husbands at the gun range. Why do you have to smelt them all, including us? Can't you just lock our gun selves up? Why are you defending it so much when you can just amend in a special exemption for us?

It doesn't matter, the court is gonna rule against them and at least secure me my life. Albeit with stupid Canadian 5-round magazines, but we can get that right… ugh…ohh…ooh! Masturbatory orgasms rack my body as my husband pulls my bolt back, releases it, and dry fires me. He does it twice more and at the end I am panting. function checks will never replace legit range time, but boy do they help ease the tension from my hubby's dad bod.

I stand up and go into the armory, my beloved following me. We start working our respective reloading stations, I load magazines and drums, he reloads the cartridges themselves. Now don't get me wrong, I'm an Armalite, I need good loads in my chamber, but not even fresh premium cartridges can not feel as good as whatever he’s putting in my used brass, plus I think I can tell if the casing is from our first date or our wedding night or something like that, but that's probably just me being sentimental. as i finish lading fresh 5.56 into the last 30-rounder my mind shifts to the drums, they tend to be a bit more complicated.

After the last drum is loaded with fresh cartridges, a pile of ammo loaded by my sweet lover is placed in front of me. I put the 40 shots into two 20-round Vietnam mags. I was never able to get through a standard 30-rounder of his ammo before feeling frisky. I have no idea what full auto was going to do to me.

It turns out, it does a lot for me. I never really got to the drums, after going for his meat in the middle of the first 30, we correctly figured I'd be wiped out on the sexual stuff after the special 20’s. My trigger is such a blessing and a curse.

I also had to help my hubby up. As beat as I was, he was even worse. I had to pick up the brass and manually unload the drums myself. Hopefully I'll get to be able to unload a drum before they are banned.

About a week later we came home from “iron manticore” the new Marvel Represent All People Edition did a better job at bringing in minority characters than the ANAD initiative. Not to mention introducing mamono superheroes. And this film showed that perfectly.

When we got home and turned off theatre mode (we kinda forgot to do that at the theatre, derp) the news hit. Cursed weapon mamono are not exempt from the removal and destruction of assault weapons provision of the National Safety Act Uhh Jane we Need Some Other Words or Else This Will Get Confusing (NSAUJNSOWETWGC).

In a few word: it's bizarre, not bad at al, but so very strange.

While I'm pretty sure I managed to understand the "plot", this work requires a solid knowledge of firearms to be 100% clear, knowledge I do not possess, which makes me miss most of the subtleties you might have written in.

The part about the re-used casings is cute and funny, the more obvious sexual innuendos made me smile, but it just wasn't my kind of story, I suppose.

I just looked it up. You right. How's that going to work though? KC is able to use terms like mindflayer and gazer because those terms aren't copyrighted. Whereas beholder and illithid are, so he can't call them that. HP lovecraft's work is public domain so that's fair game. But "Balrog" is still copyrighted by the Tolkien estate.

Still it would be cool to see a Balrog MG

That's kind of iffy. Balrog, according to the Tolkien Gateway comes from the Old English ''Bealuwearg'; Copyrighting a single word is usually impossible especially if a variant already exists. Plus KC won't be purely relying on Tolkien's works purely, but rather making a parody of it based on his own creations (fire-based, men-lovin' succubi vs. infernal, fire-wielding Maiar cloaked in fire and shadow). Nethack and other roguelikes have a closer-to-Tolkien's version of their own Balrogs, but the Tolkien Estate either doesn't care or just doesn't bother to know.

Then again, now that a (((Jewish grandson))) is over the estate, they might get more anal about such things.

There's several problem with crabman's approach for my intentions. He's too naturalistic with his monster girls while MGE is fantastic, and I prefer the fantastic to the naturalistic. While his matango isn't horrifying, he goes to the opposite extreme. Crabman defangs his matango to the point of dullness. There's nothing outright special except for her appearance, fungi-flesh, and light hallucination spores.

KC scares us away from his matango because he takes too much from that 1963 Japanese horror film without thinking, "does this really sound appealing and romantic" or "what fetish am I really trying to appeal to"? The trick is to significantly change the matango's gimmick while: 1. keeping it fantastic, 2. keeping it reasonably within the rules of MGE despite me using headcannon for some other issues, 3. keeping close to mushroom facts, legends, and previous pop culture references, but 4. not like that horror movie with the brain-diseased mass conversion, and ultimately 5. make a story that's actually good and makes others want to have a magical mushroom as a waifu.

The movie ended poorly for /monster/ standards. The hero should have stayed on the island with his now fungal gf and make lots of mushroom children. The escape didn't matter in the end since he was turning into a matango anyway.

—CHAPTER TWO—

my husband and i didn’t know what to do. we just stared at the live feed as Jessie O'hara, the cursed AR-10 that sparked this case. (AR-10S are kida like me, but she shoots bigger bullets and can hit them farther) as she gives her husband, who kinda looks like a 10-year-old next to her tall body, one last hug before she is taken away. Afterwords a reporter was interviewing a protester form SIFT. “Today is a great day,” see the man in a black hoodie and red bandana. “the courts have now decided that the safety of marginalized people outweigh the tools of white nationalism. the tools of fascism, the tools of the Patriarchy!”

“Enough with the commibarf, what am I supposed to do?” I cry out at the TV. “All assault weapons are to be surrendered to your local police station in 30 days or destroy it and give display the remains of the weapon for smelting. I look at my husband who is… smiling? “They said I gotta give the ‘remains’ of of an ‘assault weapon’ right?” He says.

I immediately get the implication “right, not my dead human body.”

“And our good friend Jack will gladly make us a fake 'you’ to ‘kill’ with a spiked bullet”. My husband nodded and picked up the phone. And my mind still wondered about SIFT, their victory signs were too professional to be put up this fast in a surprise decision like this. My beloved hangs up the phone. “Looks like we got an appointment.”

I thought back to SIFT, and what inspired it. Before my mom able to cross over into this world, a small group of human men calling themselves the “National Socialists of America” came over here, telling the mamono woeful tales of the extinction of their people. The Grand Maou was sympathetic, but couldn't do anything, still couldn't have sons yet. One of her daughters had a theory. If a Grand Maou was set up on this earth, which had no real magic or chief god of it's own, they could recreate mamono nature without the interference like in that universe. We figured out the public relations nightmare that working with them was before we went public, but we still made a promise, (and besides, just about anyone with a cock was an irreplaceable asset in the monster world), so they agreed to have their involvement buried in exchange for wives. Albeit ones who still go by Jack, Daniel, Conner, Joe, Peter, Cleveland, Quagmire, etc. Even after alping.

However, people still figured out their involvement which sparked questions. Especially considering their previously-overlooked ploitics. Antifa and some Anti-mamono radical Neogaf cat ladiess got together, decided AMRF was a stupid name and went with Stop Importing Fascism Today (SIFT). Good thing that the only group that's a bigger joke than them is the Anti-mamono faction of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. Even if they wanted to, they don't have the strength or guts to pull it off…

————

One of the quirks of mamono society is the welcoming party. At first sparse and rare as they could not get proper welcoming parties, except for affluent monster girls, but as mamono populations neared 10%, Mamono maternity halls started opening up as more and more businesses starting letting mamonos off work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which became the days when mamono mother's induced labor to deliver children. On these days, every mamono not currently in emergency services and active duty was there giving loud, joyus cheers as each new baby was delivered. Alcohol flowed freely among the crowd. Men were in attendance, but those that weren't married didn't stay single for long.

Three days after the verdict The Toledo Extra Species Maternity Hall was the same, but cursed firearms were reported as “cursed revolvers” even as their gun selves sported box magazines sometimes actual select fire. Until a bunch of masked SIFT protesters came pouring in chanting horrible things about how mamonas “perpetuate fascism” and that they need to be destroyed “to protect the rights of human women” among other things. They kept banging on the trash cans and congregating around them. A keen eye would have noticed a prevolence of Hammer and Scickle symbols, which is rare in normal SIFT screech-fests. They couldn't run fast enough when the ushi-oni and hellhound guards were called. Three of the hellhounds started sniffing the air, their eyes going wide with horror. Accidentally setting off the explosives by yelling “RUN!! BOMBS!!”

Ohhh! Idea time!

What would be the implications of a monster that couldn't get pregnant? What treatments are available? Would they work?

What would their peers, friends and other say? How would it affect their marriage? What would their husbands say to them when they told him? What would they say to others?

Given how fending off horny monsters is a central part to the plot and tone of the story, maybe the Wizard and Blake in combat with some of the initial monsters, so the Slime, Moth, Minotaur and Alarune, could work as a way to establish the tone without spoiling too much? You might be able to slot in a sneaky Selene somewhere, perhaps as an imposing, shadowy threat in the background, if you really wanted to as well, seeing as she's pretty important. Whatever you decide to go with I'd highly recommend avoiding the copromancy, because while hilarious in practice it's a pretty good way to turn off anyone from wanting to read the book, as they are likely to think it's a weird fetish inclusion when really it was just a tool at the time.

Well, if we use the "more basic" setting of the Monster Lord being an OverPowered Succubus with the end-goal of spreading happiness to the entire world through pure unfettered love…

We can extrapolate that she would consider having children as the material proof of a successful family.

Going further on that line of thinking, let's imagine most of the Monster Population agrees with that psychology (we could say they consider this "new life" better than their previous, violent and murderous one).

With this basic consept as our base, it's not a stretch to imagine that Monsters would see Women unable to have children as something tragic and deeply sad, doubly so for Monsters who are seen as symbols of fertility (such as Echidnas or Trolls).

It seems logical to consider childless wives as being overly cared for and treated with a sometimes unhealthy mix of pity and compassion.

We can suppose these women are certainly quite miserable or immensely frustrated by all this.

I actually removed the Alarune fight since I wanted to trim a little and that part is superfluous enough to do so. Him getting high off her fumes and rambling about the plague was also removed since it reads weird and the thing happens anyway at the end.

I was thinking about a sneaky selene, heh. This may be what's best to go with, especially if I have to break it into two books.

Yeah, was certainly not going to have copromancy pictured, haha. It's just… going to be in the book because it's so important.

I was thinking about a story in the lines of this: the hero is a lonely traveler. There's no one to give him company. In his lonely nights, he talks to the wind spirit who is technically his only companion.

>Hero, you travel alone, across the vast plains and mountains. You struggle, suffer and fall, but still go on. Why?

<It is what I do, it's what I am. To move forward is life and to stop, well that's another life. Is it much different than what you do?

>Is it hero? What do I do that makes you think so?

<You go whimsically wherever you want, whenever you want, just fly about on your cool wind to distant places never seen, never see about the rest of the world and its petty concerns. No aim, no reason. Free from the bonds of the world of man.

>Such a keen observation from a man who couldn't tell a bad guy apart from another. You try to act indifferent but do concern about the world and its people. You do help the unhelped and protect the unprotected. I doubt about flight but you do have an aim, just as all men. A life of fame and glory. Or perhaps treasures worthy of such travels. What do you seek beyond these trials and tribulations?

<I don't know. I am not sure.

I have no idea how to follow after this. Or even if its a good dialogue. Any ideas?

Ah, you beat me to a story! Nah, I kid. Definitely an interesting story since you chose both to focus more towards the naturalistic route and to project in the story our disgust with KC's current profile to the paranoia. Can't say I would take that right personally since it would fit my tastes, but my tastes don't matter when someone can still write an enjoyable plot. I thought story was good overall, minus the jarring transition from a calm, hard science drama to a magical shoujo scene; but then again, I shouldn't have expected any less that from a Mad Hatter. Maybe give us an vignette that let's us know that shits about to get serious, to smooth the plot bump? Anyways, 9-Morel/10-Destroying Angel

Some minor observations to hopefully help you:

L. 3 "I have not seen you in…" You need a perfect tense here since I've never heard a native English speaker say "I did not see you in ages" even as a regional idiom.

L. 7 Assuming your doing a Northeastern or some kind of blue collar accent for Lenny: "sure do love" instead of" do so love"

L. 43 Wew lad, cuckholding? I mean I can see that in a figurative context but you haven't established a possible relationship at this point expect one between Madeleine and Anon the Orderly

L.69 "…Truly indecent amount of cuddles" Dude, I can't tell you enough how much I love this line. Good job at the word play!

L.81 Anon's mouth tasted like copper when he came to. This sounds very bizarre for a normal reader. People don't normally eat or taste metal to become the greatest metal connoisseur, but most do know blood has iron. I think you can suffice with a general "tasted metallic" or the physiological correct "tasted like iron". Did she stun Anon in the mouth?

L. 195 She doesn't seem like the kind of person to be interested in relatively obscure ancient history stories and facts. Kudos though for taking something from the Punic Wars, a personal favorite.

Thanks for the feedback. I struggle alot with plot and pacing. You're not the only one to tell me some of my transitions are jarring so I should probably work on that. (It's easy for me to forget that the reader doesn't know everything the writer knows neglect to give them enough to work with.)

Lenny is actually my half assed attempt to write a few scraps of "Runyonesque" dialog: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damon_Runyon#Literary_style

If you want to get a taste of Damon Runyon's work the old radio program The Damon Runyon Theatre is a good place to start. Runyon's odd and distinctive dialog really comes through when you hear it spoken:

https://archive.org/details/OTRR_Damon_Runyon_Singles

It's a little bittersweet reading or listening to his work now as it's a window into an America which is lost forever. Even if he's mostly forgotten today Runyon was hugely popular and influential at the time. If you've ever watched an old black and white gangster movie there's a good chance you've heard at least echoes of his work.

That being said I really should avoid the temptation to add references to a story which only people who remember the Coolidge administration are going to get.

I also probably shouldn't listen to my mecha anime song mix when plotting…

–chapter three–

A TV reporter continues to cover the ongoing investigations, who survived, who died and speculation as to who did this. SIFT was a prime suspect, after all there was a protest there. That alone gets on my nerves, protesting the birth of people. Add to that fact you just murder babies, moms, and those who celebrate them, and they have the gall to claim that WE are Hitler's fans? And that THEY speak for women? Oh, look it was the KKK, which remains a tiny, insignificant speck, just like it was decades before we showed up.

My husband saw I was getting upset, so he changed the channel. Renate Hoeltzman the lead singer for the metal band The Virgin Stealers. Is giving her last performance next week, because she's a cursed stg 44, a banned assault weapon. She looked like such a trooper. Her death mandated by the state, but she was giving one last stand before her gun body was destroyed. Also it's free for cursed assault weapons and their husbands.

Jack returned my gun body to me. “Alright, i'll have that ready before Saturday”

My husband sighed in relief “Great! What's the charge?” He said.

“No charge, it'll make things look suspicious.” He said “this is not just the people's right to self-defense and the means to it, it's now people who are threatened. I…I can't just let that stand”

“Wow… thanks!” My husband said. He shook Jack's hand, then turned back to me. “Wanna go to that concert? I know you like The Virgin Stealers.”

“Sure! One last date, hide and acclimate myself to a compliant weapons, ride out the statute of limitations-”

“No use. That was removed last year.” Jack said.

“I thought that was just for sexual assault charges!” I said.

“It was extended to illegal firearms possession last year. Dems snuck it into a budget provision.”

“So I'll have to hide until we get this repealed?!”

“Yes, I'm afraid.” Jack said, his face looking at the floor.

“We’ll figure something out, I'm sure” my husband said…

————-

“I mean, yeah loss of life is tragic, but you have to look at the context.” A news commentator stated. “These Creatures have no interest in dismantling Patriarchy, they just want to participate. I mean look at Sweden: No gender pay gap before mamono, then it comes, not counting monster girls, back at FIFTY CENTS ON THE DOLLAR!, Abortion rights are rolled back. Big shocker people who celebrate the births from total strangers don’t like the right to choose. Australia, Canada and Great Britain have repealed their assault weapon laws. The gals support meritocracy, putting minority representation in major jeopardy. And if that wasn’t enough, these girls seem to want outright fascism, i mean look at the husbands of their greatest leaders” the news commentator droned on and on about how the mamono and the alt-right are linked. Jerome Brown's mind was on the The Maternity Hall Bombing, and how he lived through that.

He was in the process of being incubised by a beautiful oni named Jan when he drank her sake a little too early. He threw up into a trash can just as the SIFT protesters were leaving. Little did he know, that can contained a bomb, and throwing up on it shorted out a key part of the control circuit. That saved him and his wife from the blast. The other trash bombs were too far away. However there was still the collapsing ceiling. A shard of the rafters smashed through her head, killing her instantly.

Chapter three point five

He was one of the few survivors of the attack. In the celebration part of the Maternity Hall. Most of the other survivors, ironically, were in the delivery rooms. however , he finds himself unable to move on from Jan. Every mamono thinks I’m trying to cheat on my wife, and is shocked when I tell them she died in the bombing. One girls said it was due to a “smell like a mamono on him” that the mistake was made. It had been three days since the attack I shouldn't “smell” like her. After not turning up crap on google, he looked towards the residence of the Great Mage Geri, if anyone knew how to get her smell off it’s her.

His number is called as he walks into the room, a mixture of modern medical facility and witches potion shop. After a few minutes, she walks in piece of paper in hand. “I just got done talking to your wife we-”

“SHE'S ALIVE?!” he jumps off of the examination table. Gidder than when he saw Wanda Wayne, the first Oni in the Lakers, bounce the ball of the opponent’s backboard into the net. A spectral image of Jan appears

“no… I'm not, sorry.” the ghost said.

“As I was saying” Geri continued, slightly annoyed “We have determined that you need to be decoupled from her, the way she was incubised you would have made you dependent on her body for things she can't provide as a ghost.” She grabs a pen off her desk and starts writing “while posthumous decoupling is relatively simple as far as decoulings go, it's still outside of my particular skill set. I would advise that you talk to her.” She pushes a slip of paper in his hand with some codes, an address and a name. When he types the address in it is discovered that the address puts him clear across town. “Well, no time like the present” he said to himself.

I got an idea for a story and I'd like some of you guy's input before I start. It's probably been done before, so I'm asking for some more original bits and bobs.

Basic premise: Anon is a gravedigger as of recently, and his work is way busier since the day of the portal. Instead of burying somebody every week or so, he also needs to fight off ghouls from eating the deceased (bad for business) and occasionally quell a small zombie uprising (they stink up the place and want to go back to being dead again, anyhow.). After doing that for a decent amount of time, he gains the attention of a lich. I figure they end up having an awkward friendship because gravedigger can't take her down (ghouls and zombies don't match up to a lich) and they end up having stuff to do.

Figure there's enough there for a story, but what do you guys think should be added? I'm up for whatever, horror, comedy, you name it, i'm not picky.

About the Kiki story: it's pretty good. The beginning is solid, adding a couple more interactions between the characters can only make it better, but the message comes across quite clear.

The "breaking point" scene was my favourite part: it's a short but efficient emotional roller coaster, first is the empathy, then comes the dread, really well done in my opinion.

The ending however is a little too rushed, it's missing something (justva longer discussion between the two, a promise, a show of affection) and your unusual formatting makes reading it a little more complicated than it should be.

But since you said you were planning on adding more to this, it can easily be fixed.

I liked it. You can do your idea the JUSTICE it deserves.

Its just a repository for stories and art of monster girls. You can't expect everyone to follow /monster/'s rules, not even MGE and Monmusu follow our rules exactly. There's good work and bad work, and you kind of just have to sift through to find what you like. The majority of stuff on TFT is pretty good. Though that might change with the current collapse of the furry fandom, I don't know. Though as it is right now, I think TFT is one of the better MG communities. 1. Futa.

4. Infidelity. Touchfluffytail has various stories in which monsters have casual sex or even cheat.

Two of the mods are furries trying to induct other furries into the community. It's a case of 'stranger seems nice because he gives you candy, but his real goals are dubious'.

Don't get suckered into their degeneracy, they wholeheartedly condone furfags and the fetishes they love, it's the current majority of the community that fights them tooth and nail for it. Unfortunately, furries see monster girls as furry-lite, so don't expect that problem to get any better only worse, especially when the moderation is passive in their involvement.

Ok, hear me out violated heroes, I have an idea and I'd like to worldbuild for a moment. Sorry if this isn't the place for this.

The setting is a world that has a very emphasized Hindu-Style spiritual aspect to it. 'Every thing has spirit in it', along those lines. A few hundred years before the story takes place, something befalls mankind. Maybe some sort of plague, or curse or something. It affects humanity on a spiritual level, causing their spirits to be weak, too weak to support their living bodies. Children are born malformed, broken, and weak, and those are the ones lucky enough to survive to birth.

The people pray to the spirits, and something higher up on the totem pole than them comes up with a fix. Animal spirits, being far less powerful than human souls when things aren't fucked, would fill in the holes the curse or whatever left during their formation. Kind of like a spirit animal, but literally making up some of your being. This, of course, has physical consequences as well.

Basically everyone, man and woman, is a chimera of human and some kind of animal. The 'weaker' someones soul was during their formation, the more animal they are, both inside and out. The 'stronger' your soul, the more human you look, with the 'strongest' souls having no animal influence.

I've got a bit more of this to talk about, but I'm not sure this is the right thread for it, should I post more?

The inherent problem with male monsters existing in your setting is that you have to come up with a damn good reason for why female monsters (or at least the female monsters important to the stories in your setting) are pursuing human men over their own kind, as otherwise your setting is just standard fantasy and isn't focusing on monstergirls, which defeats the purpose of making a setting on this board entirely; content coming from this board should primarily be about monstergirls, not fantasy which just so happens to have monstergirls in it. Sure, we occasionally discuss monstergirls from other media which may or may not have monsterboys in them, but discussion is much different from production.

I mean, arguably you can make a setting that has monster girls without monster boys. Stories like wizardquest have this down to a tee, but generally the possibilities you have are:

>Radically different biological gender dimorphisms for females that pass down hireditarily (optionally through men, but will never fully manifest in men) - this explaination does not lend itself well to magical attributes as everyone is technically still human

>Species hierarchy that men exist alongside; monsters can either give cross-racial birth to human men or females of their own race - in this case, human women still exist and the absence of male monsters will need to be explained somehow, as does the ability of humans and monsters to interbreed - this would be your magical option

I mean, my setting does have that reason. A lack of animal features is seen as a desirable trait, as it shows a 'strong soul'. I was going to explain this in more detail later, but I may as well mention it now, the 'fix' with the animal spirits is a sloppy one, it allows humanity to survive, but it's not without its setbacks. If someone's soul is too weak in the womb, they may pop out more animal than human, in which case you have either a 'chimera' or a 'troll'. chimeras are like the opposite of what humans have become, more like animals with bits of humans mixed in, which make them more dangerous than an ordinary animal, human souls being stronger and all. Trolls are chimeras that have retained human intelligence, but not human emotion or empathy. They're savage, can not be reasoned with, but are by no means stupid. They'll even occasionally group together if their animal spirit understands concepts like pack hunting.

Those with the 'strongest souls', the ones who only have the faintest hints of animal traits became the nobility. the royal family of the nation the story is set in is entirely human, which is an important point I'll get back to. Animal traits aren't considered unattractive, but they're definitely considered to be the traits of 'peasantry'. its important to mention that all this souls stuff isn't entirely hereditary. It is sometimes, but then other times it isn't. A noble family is generally pretty human, and it's unheard of for them to spawn a chimera, but it's not unheard of that they have a kid that's as animal as the peasants. Also, the animals themselves aren't genetic. A tiger man and a fish lady might give birth to a crocodile, a ladybug and a rabbit. Except, sometimes it is genetic. A certain noble family is known for consistently having the features of snakes, a pattern going back a dozen generations. It's spirits, I ain't gotta explain shit.

The mc, despite being born of a man with the head and forearms of a mole and a motherhen, whose equal parts mother and hen, is completely human. This is a big deal, seeing as how the only other people that can claim such a thing are the royal family.

You could do something interesting like guys or women who look more human being able to use shit like the species of monstergirls that are their moms or grandmothers can use like artifacts or inventions or scaled down magic powers. just don't turn it into a maguffin but more like a curiosity.

Theres no need to always have a race of monstergirls just churning out monstergirls, sometimes the mans physical traits would overlap over the mothers traits. makes it more interesting than shit that will devolve into id politics.

I really have no idea where you're getting that from what I wrote. There's a definite spiritual or supernatural part to the setting, but no outright magic. I think I did a bad job of explaining where mc stands in the world. He's rare, for sure, but he's not royalty just because of his human nature, it's not the first time this has happened, or else you wouldn't have royals or nobles to begin with, and now that a few centuries have passed and the state is more solid it's not like he can just up and claim to be the new king or even start a noble house. He IS a curiosity, but other than to the most superstitious of people that's all he is. I mean shit, the only reason I'm even having the mc be human is because I figured no one here would want to insert as anything but a normal anon.

Between this and some guy bringing up futa like my story was a gateway to it I'm starting to think /monster/ might just be autistic.

I think the bigger problem with your setting here is that you are writing about 'humans' which range from normal human, to cosplay-tier monstergirl, to actually monstergirl, to blatantly fucking furry. That last point alone is a good reason for you to not bring your setting here, male monsters or no.

Your setting is fine, its just not /monster/ As an avid ready of all kind of fantasy, I would give the setting a shot if I found it on Amazon. I just don't know if /monster/ is really your audience. Don't be discouraged, just know /monster/ is… very strict with its orthodoxy to the point of silliness sometimes. Not even parts of our favorite materials meet the orthodoxy of /monster/. MGE and monmusu both break /monster/ rules. Do what you like, just realize not everyone will like what you do, even if its perfectly fine.

That said, I just bought "Summoner" off of Amazon since I was thinking of self publishing my own book on there and wanted to see what a high ranking best seller in the same genre was like. Its garbage, complete garbage. If anything its given me a massive boost in my confidence to achieve success as a self-published author because if that thing is selling well all I need is a kickass cover and a marketing campaign and I'll be golden. If any other writefags were thinking of getting an e-book on amazon, just know the cover and marketing will determine your success more than anything else. Because all of your writing is better than "Summoner"

I've been writing a word document version of a greentext I made earlier which I felt was more expansive. But I've never written a big story like this and I'm having some difficulties moving the plot along when the situation becomes too open.

Write an outline for the kinda story you want to tell. Make a roadmap for the plot. Write down character concepts with their personalities, traits and flaws.

Get all that together and you'll have a little toolbox to turn to when you're not sure about what to write. Go back to your outline and then figure out what you need to write.

>next I need to write the part where they sneak into the castle but a thing happens and they have to get out a sticky situation

That's when you use your creative juice and fill in the blanks.

If you dump out a jigsaw puzzle on the floor and try to see the picture before you organize the pieces you're gonna have trouble.

I have no excuse for not working on it any sooner. I'll love to say that I was busy, but I wasn't. At all. Has anyone written a David Lynch style twin peaks kinda story? A premise came to me about a straight-laced FBI agent and his quirky moth girl assistant helping a small town with a strange murder case. Something with lots of weird characters and mysteries to unravel. I know I'm a little late for Halloween themed content but the little bit that I've written in my head makes me think it'd be an interesting story to mess around with.

I figure I'm not the only one to be inspired by David Lynch stuff but I don't know of anything like that with a monstergirl infusion.

I'm invisioning a proper story, not something green text or CYOA teir. I don't think I could pull it off without planning and putting together a proper outline. It'd be a murder/mystery kinda deal so I gotta think clues, evidence, suspects, witnesses, plot twists and more. Pretty much build a whole small town's worth of characters. That and if I'm going to say it's inspired by David Lynch I gotta really pack the weird in. The supernatural would be part of the plot but only in little dripfed bits as you dig deeper into the mystery.

Granted, everything looks better in your mind until you start writing it. When the text hits the word processor that's when you know if you actually have something to write home about.I wouldn't mind some people throwing in some ideas character wise to help me build up the town roster. Otherwise I'll just have to build familes and people up from scratch which I can do but I'll need to give them all quirks, connections, goals, personalities and so on.

I know I'll catch shit but I don't like manticores from MGE because of the tail pussy. If it was just a regular stinger I think I could deal with it but tailpussy makes it hard to suspend my nonfetishistic disbelief. The thing is, tailpussy is so ingrained into the community if I had a manticore character without a tailpussy I think most on the board would view her as deformed. Even if she wasn't sexually active in the story and would have no need to even utllize such a thing.

Genitalia digression aside, the poison concept is the kind of thing I'd conjure I'm sure or something like it. I haven't even started the basic building blocks of assembling the plot yet so I don't have much more than a few simple character outlines.

I am 500% in favor of this. You could call it "The Mothgirl Prophecies." Strange lights appearing over a deindustrial Ohio river town, a popular young human boy getting brutally murdered, monster girls acting as if hypnotized or under an undetectable spell, strange lillim in black asking incomprehensible questions of lonely farmers…if you don't finish it, I might have to start it, although I can't guarantee I'd do a remotely acceptable job.

Consider the following interpretation: Manticores come from an area unusually high in poisonous plants and animals. "Tailpussies" are in fact a secondary mouth of sorts, with an enhanced sense of taste and feeling designed to detect toxins within food, while keeping said food separate from the primary digestive system. It's use as a sexual organ is merely a secondary/cultural aspect, as the heightened senses make using it in such a way highly pleasurable.

As a recommendation I wouldn’t write and publish your story at the same time. The reason for this is that if you feel a plot point could be better, or you want to put something in to get out of writing yourself into a corner, you can still go back and edit it. Otherwise if you edit previously released parts people who are reading it as it is released are going to be confused as to why something that wasn’t there before is referenced.

Then again the story is based on time and space fuckery so maybe something interesting could be done with that.

request.

Have a childhood friend who became a vampire, and it's not so much of a secret.

You've been on blood thinners your entire life and she knows it.

So it's very taboo to have her drink your blood because it might not stop flowing until medical intervention, or a cut could bleed for an abnormal amount such as a wound that may have other wise stopped bleeding in 5 minutes would bleed for a half hour.

She's very playful.

Perhaps you end up in the hospital with her in the lobby with a ton of people upset at her.It could be not a serious injury, but enough that they need to inject you with something to counter the blood thinners.

Would other monster girls flock around you when you get back to school?

At least one with gills will.

I'm writing a christmas sort of tale set in a city full of undead monsters and humans. I sort of took some ideas from recent readings of the dream thread, where I saw one of the anons was apparently into edgeplay. It's a rather creative interpretation of the Wight's profile, sure.

This is going to be mainly attempts at comedy with erotic scenes thrown in around a central group of hapless male characters. Enjoy, I guess.

A response to the inevitable questions about the wight in this universe:

Yes, they do make love to their husband, usually once or twice a week when he least expects it. They like to take sexual exploration with their one, chosen man slowly; often, agonisingly so. They have… certain talents. They greatly enjoy the looks of unbridled lust on their men's faces.

They are not evil or unempathetic. And they often deny themselves in anticipation for finally giving the beloved man what they want. Most monsters will make love to their man multiple times a night over many comparatively short, exhausting fits of passion. Making love to the wight in this universe, in comparison, is a long, extremely rewarding process for the couple, and greatly improves the rate of conception.

Owen is currently diving through the window of his room to find some clothes. We'll see where this goes…

I have a question for everyone I used to only lurk and I'm trying to produce content for the board. I'm dyslexic and my brain knows what I'm typing and I tend to overlook stupid spelling errors because of it. I used to just rely on my word processor. I was using Google docs and it would just not show when I'm making a spelling error. I downloaded a free one and the same thing happened. Does anyone have any advice on what program I could use?

I was playing with concepts in my head for a varied cast of characters and I think I'd probably have too many male monster variants mixed in with assorted wymen and other non-monster males floating around for the tastes of those on this board. Not that I got much kickback for the males in this work >>373544 but unlike the slice of life, there'd probably be more of a focus on characters across the board rather than my harem style story where girls got most of the spotlight with male monsters being more in the background. That being the case I wouldn't want to pursue this kinda story for this board. If I were to write the story the way I want I don't think the audience here would enjoy it. That and despite my admiration towards David Lynch I doubt have the expertise to pay proper homage to him in a literary work. At least not yet.

If you have a concept go ahead and develop it. I'd be interested to see what someone does with the whole Twin Peaks murder mystery style story with monstergirls.

On an unrelated note, I want stories featuring snake girls with rattlers. I think they're a cute

I wouldn't mind an ending where they end up together but there needs to a good internal conflict that the lady dragon deals with in learning to forgive or pursuing vengeance that will leave her hollower than when she started her trial for revenge.

If I tell someone else what exactly to write it won't be as enjoyable for me to read so whatever hot take is taken I hope it's one that really activates my almonds so to speak.

This could actually be a top-tier premise if it isn’t half-assed. There’s a lot of emotional turmoil possible for both the main characters. The dragon having to deal with her failure to properly avenge her mother directly, and with the questionable morality of punishing someone for something she knows they didn’t do, even if she decides to make the punishment non-lethal.

The dragon slayer’s son can deal with the despair of being locked into this fate by birth and coming to terms with the legacy left by his father, good and bad.

Add to that their mutual grief at their respective parents deaths (as the dragon slayer is no doubt dead by now) and this could turn into something amazing.

God damnit I wanna write this now

I guess it could be the mother as well. Given /monster/'s feelings towards male monsters that may be what you want to do. I kid, whatever you write, make it interesting.

That begs the question, should the lady dragon start out with both parents or just one? If she has both do both of them need to die or maybe one die and the other be gravely wounded? I think balancing the tragic elements of the story is important to make the conclusions more emotional for the reader. Are you painting boy's father as a valiant hero or bloodthirsty killer? Was the lady dragon's parent(s) innocent or was there a reason that someone sought to kill them? The more believable the motivations the better.

AzimuthFlirt is writing a good slow Healer/ Demon Girl vanilla romance. I can't say all of his stories are heresy free, but this and his Northands Garrison story are good MG vanilla.

Only she is called a Tiefling, since this is a DnD-ish setting, so she just has horns and a tail, no sex magic. I don't know much else about tieflings, other than they are hot. The author used the pic included as the character ref.

Author's tags: Tiefling rogue[F]/Human healer[M], fantasy setting, combat, teasing, handholding, stripping, mild references to assorted sexual acts.

It’s nice, but I think you need to work on your subtlety. I hate whenever “otherworldly” comes up in shoggoth stories and the officer’s words alone didn’t strike me as particularly strange as the protagonist did. I would think the officer’s creepy smile while telling him to go inside would have been a better signal something was off.

I'd have imagined that the cops being there despite having no reasons to would be unnerving enough that him bluntly saying those things as if he knew of what was going on would have the desired effect. Maybe I didn't word it in a way that said 'We know of the horrors inside' and instead came across as 'People started getting scared of the mansion for some reason and ran away, but this guy didn't run yet'.

Do you have other examples of what else could've been improved?

Well the cops didn't say they had anything to do, so just sitting around and smoking seems normal until they get a call otherwise. Aside from this, I think there could have been a bit more interaction with the previous owner to help build atmosphere and it could have been a bit more natural. The two guys didn't even introduce themselves and it feels like more could have been said after the guy said he wasn't going to stick around. I think you were trying to go for something suspenseful by ending there, but it didn't have a good buildup and wasn't exactly the right point to end (if suspense was what you were going for.) "Inhabitant" seems a tiny bit clinical when talking about said owner and I feel "fellow" was repeated too many times in a short span.

I see a lot of dialogue tags (words like "said" or "asked") coupled to an adverb ("I said quickly"). Try, through character action, to show emotion in dialogue rather than telling though an adverb. If a tag is necessary, cut the adverb and use a more specific verb ("said quickly" to "blurted").

I don't know if most of you have realized this, but this story is very similar to most female targeted romance novels and media. Specifically the ones with the covers that have the castles in the background and a hot man or woman on them. Or the movie Pretty Woman (1990). Or the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy. The basic plot line of those stories is as follows:

>good woman down on her luck

>evil man with dark twisted history comes along

>through the power of the woman's love, she changes the man for the better

<danuki down on her luck with land project

<evil anon who felt entitled to getting laid on the day of the rape comes along with much resentment

<through the power of the danuki's actions, she changes anon to fold and become lovers

In a healthy romantic relationship, neither partner is interested in changing another. You would never buy a car and turn it into a boat for you are not a mechanic, or buy a painting and paint your own corrections on it for you are not an artist. In fact, almost ALL relationship advice these days points to exactly this conclusion. These female "romantic" novels are nothing more than female narcissism and power fantasies of being able to change men. You can't change people, only people change themselves. Only manipulative narcissists try to change people.

I'm disappointed in "The Last Bastion of Romance"

This is an interesting point worthy of discussion. That's certainly an accurate description of the typical modern female romance fantasy. However, it bothers me because this argument would seem to preclude healing or purification, which I think are generally considered acceptable if not high tier.

In the case of the story referenced we actually know something about authorial intent:

>>379492

> For what it's worth I was thinking of our resident robots ("Love is fake." "Your waifu would fuck Chad." etc.) when I wrote it. There seems to be a lot of pushing away of even the possibility of love there, probably due to genuine hurt. I was thinking about how monster girls might react to that and had the general idea of them possibly being fooled by the tough, "irredeemable man" facade but becoming frantic to heal if they realized the truth.

Off the cuff this seems like straightforward healing fetish. How many times have we told Robot-kun that a monsterl girl would love him and make him feel better? For something similar in canon I'd compare this to how the Kikimora operates:

> "Due to [his Kikimora wife's] support, [a man will] be able to exhibit his own abilities to the furthest extent."

All shog-kiki war ribbing aside, I don't think many Anons would characterize the Kiki as a 3dpd trying to change her husband in order to satisfy some hypergamous urge.

But if that's the case, what is the difference between healing/purification and something like 50 Shades of Grey?

I also find it hilarious that from a certain perspective Robot-kun is the ultimate Chad who gets thots wet.

I find this sort of commonplace among here in general. I barely scratched the surface of this on another board but I think I'll go deeper here. I have been trying to come out of my juan year hiatus so to speak, and the fist story I posted (greentext thread) makes me think I already blew it. For the past year, I've actually studied what a good relationship actually looks like from both Molyneux (Real Time Relationships, and whose detractors came to the same conclusion as him lmao on idopodcast) and others. From there it gets super fucking easy to see what a good relationship is given consistent conclusions between them, and super easy to see though all the bullshit. This is something I wish to expand upon though writefaggotry and set an example of realistic expectations for those who might read it so they could apply it to their current lives.

A lot of us have fallen into a darker place, no thanks to feminism and modern day media completely twisting reality and expectations of most modern women (or those simply retarded enough to follow along and suspended reproducing their low IQ retard genes). I've been told that a lot of us (people in their 20s) that the cycle was breaking, and there is currently demand for good relationships not defined by boomer mythology, politics of media, or availability on bumblebee or tinder.

The issue with the healing fantasy is change, and that it is, in fact, a fantasy. The very minute you try to change someone, be it though healing or anything else, is the very minute you reject who the person is and resort to manipulating them to suit your "needs". In this case, those needs typically are making them "feel better" (telling them they're not allowed to have negative emotions, an outright denial of their emotions and how you're entitled to how they feel) so you can feel better about yourself because you "helped" someone. For example, a lot of Christians genuinely love "saving" people via moral grand standing when in reality, they are rejecting who the person is and telling them how they should be so they can feel better about themselves because they "saved" someone. Some people have these fantasies because at one point in their lives (most of the time it was throughout their entire childhood), they were manipulated to hell and back, and this fantasy is simply manipulation to compensate for past manipulations (it's also very common). And who can really blame them because it was the only example of a "relationship" they saw growing up. The retarded nigger faggots that raised them are directly responsible for this.

To borrow an analogy from the bald argument machine, a relationship is two people in a studio painting their own paintings. Their art styles are different, but each artist is talented and admires the others one's work. Changing someone is essentially one artist getting up and painting over the other artist's canvas, making it worse because the style doesn't match and isn't what the other artist had in mind. The healing fantasy is the illusion that you will be able to fix all of the "mistakes" in the other artist's work, ignorant of your own mismatched art style. The narcissistic female fantasy is essentially the same thing, the feminist version of it where they take a man and "heal" them of their wickedness (when the should have just found a better person instead). The difference between the healing fantasy and 50 Shades is one side is narcissistic af while the other genuinely wants to "fix" people but doesn't know how due to limited experience (I've heard the majority of "fixers" are along this line). You can't change others, and people are only responsible for changing themselves. The best way to "fix" their painting is by supporting them and letting them complete their own vision of what their art should be. People are only liable for changing themselves.

The absolute saddest part about this is that my mangy furfag ass figured this out before anyone else here did. Last Bastion of Romance? What a fucking joke. So please excuse me while I pick up my penny and my suitcase. If you are good at connecting dots, discussion could be held elsewhere, as doing it here might be considered "derailment" worthy of a ban. Don't count on it though, I'll probably be a clown tomorrow.

(Autism, society actively seeks to change you, if you think its just personal then you're retarded, banned for derailing.)

> So please excuse me while I pick up my penny and my suitcase.

Whoa, easy Mongo, why do you need to leave? I should hope that Anons are allowed to disagree on Hotwheels' legacy, and I don't know that we really disagree that much. I think you've identified the key dichotomy here between:

1. Manipulating someone - because you want to change them

2. Supporting someone - so they can change themselves if they want to

This seems like a really good test for writing monstergirl stories (and in real life). (1) is obviously selfish while (2) is selfless. The only issue I see is that individuals might disagree on where to draw the line. Consider the Tanuki story; it has the exchanges:

> "Really? And what if I'm in the mood for raccoon dog?"

< Her heart skipped a beat, "Yes."

> "That's all? 'Yes'? What if I want to tie you up and power rape you? What if I only want you occasionally and prefer a harem of other girls most of the rest of the time?"

< "Love is patient, love is kind. If you'll accept it I'll give you my love and keep giving it to you until you can return it. No matter how long it takes."

> "That seems like a pretty dangerous attitude."

< "It's like you said. I can see the unique ephemera produced by your soul. I know you aren't evil, you're just in pain."

> Haruna could feel the indecision in Anon after what had happened. Part of him wanted to open up and be vulnerable with her but another part of him was still afraid and wanted to try to keep up a cruel facade to protect his heart. She didn't push him. She'd give him as much time as he needed. The frightened part of him won out that time and when their next bout started Haruna found herself bound with red ribbons left over from wrapping presents. True to his word he tied her up and power raped her. True to her word Haruna gave him her love and acceptance without asking anything in return.

To me that reads more like (2) than (1) with the primary fantastical element being the tanuki's MAMONO MANA giving her special insight into Anon's feelings. That said, I can see how a reasonable person might disagree.

I kind of want to explore this idea so I'd like to suggest the following scenario as either as a thought exercise or maybe a writing prompt:

Anon has a hard time getting to bed on time. As a result of his disturbed sleep patterns he's often moody and depressed.

> Anon Option 1: He wants to change but hasn't been able to on his own for some reason.

> Anon Option 2: He's ambivalent about changing, but would agree that changing would improve his quality of life.

> Anon Option 3: He doesn't want to change for some reason.

< Waifu Option 1: She doesn't take any special action.

< Waifu Option 2: She verbally encourages Anon but doesn't press the matter.

< Waifu Option 3: She coaxes Anon into better sleep habits by initiating sex before bedtime so he always drifts off at a reasonable hour pleasantly tired and sexually sated.

Even in this limited set there are quite a few options. Where would Anons draw the line? Does it matter what the characters' motivations are? Is it even a linear line? (For example A1-W1 seems kind of mean in its own way while not being manipulative at all, just distant. On the other hand A2-W3 is manipulative but arguably also kind.)

>being this wrong

>The very minute you try to change someone, be it though healing or anything else, is the very minute you reject who the person is and resort to manipulating them to suit your "needs".

But that's wrong you retard. Healing and manipulating are two different things.

Healing is when you support and help, either directly or indirectly, someone to be what they want to be.

3DPD changing is when you force someone to change into what you want him to be, usually via threats.

Since you mentioned art, let's take changing a guy into an artist as an example:

/monster/ healing:

>guy wants to be an artist but is the usual shit artist that feels demotivated and draws less, therefore not improving

>art fairy or some random /monster/ falls for the guy (she already loves him at this part)

>sees or notices the guy wants to be an artist, but is having trouble at it

>encourages the guy, praises him, paints along him or something in order to help the guy achieve what he himself wants to directly achieve

>guy turns into the guy he already wanted to be

>girl loved the guy throughout the whole process

>interactions like sex and cuddling are to incentive, comfort, and just because she wants it

3DPD changing:

>guy doesn't like/care about art

>girl either falls for the guy then gets bored or just settles for the guy

>girl has an artist fetish and decides to make guy into an artist

>usual 3DPD animal training tactics, punishing the guy for the behavior she does not want , and rewarding the guy with sex for the behavior she wants

>guy accomplishes what he indirectly want in order to reach his true objective which is pussy, at best he was indifferent to being an artist, he hated it all at worst

>girl didn't love the guy, maybe she likes him now that he's closer to her ideal

>any interaction with the guy is purely manipulative in order to psychologically encourage certain behaviors

See the difference? Both cases are about changing a guy into an artist, what changes is the perspective of the one that's changed and the overall interaction and stance of the one that's changing it. A guy that doesn't want to do something being threatened by someone that doesn't love him VS a guy that wants something being encouraged by a girl that loves him regardless.

In the end the guy is way happier, which leads to the second point:

>In this case, those needs typically are making them "feel better"

Yes. Happiness is a byproduct of achievement, making someone achieve, even if partly, something they truly desire will make them happier.

>(telling them they're not allowed to have negative emotions, an outright denial of their emotions and how you're entitled to how they feel)

No.

You might've noticed I said in healing interactions are not only used to incentive, but also, necessarily, to comfort. It's not that you're not allowed to have negative emotions, but if you truly love someone you don't want that person to be sad, so you try to comfort that person in any way possible. /monster/ has many stories like this where the mg tells the guy to simply let it all out, rather than bottling it up as you're implying.

Using the art example again, if a guy went "fuck this, my art is shit, I quit", in a /monster/ story the girl would care about the guy over the art, so if he wanted to be an artist she'd comfort and encourage him, letting him cry it out then helping him try again, but if the guy didn't want to be an artist she would instead comfort the guy and incentive him to try something else, because she's not "rejecting" the person, she loves him and wants him happy at any cost. Now, again in the 3DPD example, a manipulative cunt would care about the artist part over the guy, if the guy said that, her answer would pretty much be "well then, I guess you're not getting any pussy today" because she, in this case, rejects the guy, she doesn't love him, she's just using him to fulfill her fantasies.

>so you can feel better about yourself because you "helped" someone.

The only partially correct part of this.

Yes, you'd want the girl you love to have a smile and you'd want that smile to be, in part, because of you. No one denies that is part of it, but that's not all.

If you love someone you don't want that person to be crying and sad all the time, and you wouldn't be "rejecting" her if you tried to make her happy. Caring about the mental health of the other person above all means you love that person. Healing is about loving someone and making that someone happy, because you want a smile on that face and you want to be responsible for that smile.

Manipulation implies you don't love the person, because you care more about yourself and your desires than the happiness of a person. Still using that example, a manipulative cunt wouldn't mind the guy wanting to fucking kill himself or being sad in general as long as it didn't fuck with her ideals.

Changing is about making someone look like your ideal, if you want that someone to be happy, it'll be enough for the guy to bottle up his emotions and show a happy facade. Healing is about getting to the core of the problem and making the guy truly happy and accomplished.

In conclusion you're fucking stupid and I hope you liked reading this essay as much as I liked writing it.

Are we forgetting earlier parts in the story where Haruna did anything she could for her development project? She was more interested in getting what she wanted than understanding Anon for the vast majority of the story. Their interactions were mostly her saying she'll do anything if Anon would just give up, completely ignorant of Anon's own desires. The "relationship" at the end was rush. Anon was guilt tripped into doing what he did. Haruna only really cared about Anon out of pity, not because she actually liked who he was. In typical 3DPD fashion, she spreads her legs instead of actually getting to know Anon for who he is so she could have legitimate reasons to actually love him. This is why I would put it down as a (1).

I will agree that people will set their own goalposts between scenarios 1 and 2. For most I find it is hard to differentiate and draw distinctions. It would make a good test for what is posted on this board, and even better, a good pre-flight check for those looking to write something.

>>386049

You do realize you agree with most of the points I made earlier about a good relationship being mutual support for one another, so I'm not going to spend a lot of time on this one because we agree for the most part. The difference is that you've defined your healing fantasy as the healthy relationship, essentially moving the goal post. The same goal post moving is done with defining what manipulation is and defining what the healing fantasy is. You also make your statements as if you are speaking on behalf of all of /monster/ which is something you should avoid doing because you can only be right by chance. You also did not correctly interpret my art analogy. The people are "painting" who they are, just as we all change ourselves little by little each day. They are not taking up painting as a hobby to make pieces of art as you interpret it. There are other misinterpretations as well you seem pivotal on. I think your post was made more out of spite than wanting to have civil discussion. Unfortunately I don't think this can really be done on this board and with you in particular so I will cease. I argued against certain points of your post, specifically the part where you imply healing and forcefully changing someone are comparable and both bad, explaining why healing is a healthy relationship.

>The same goal post moving is done with defining what manipulation is and defining what the healing fantasy is.

Except that what 90% of healing fantasy is. You imply healing is necessarily forcefully changing someone, which it isn't.

>You also make your statements as if you are speaking on behalf of all of /monster/ which is something you should avoid doing because you can only be right by chance.

Except I based it on virtually every /monster/ healing story I've ever heard. /monster/'s general opinion is that forcing someone to change is shit, but helping someone to change because they want to is good.

>You also did not correctly interpret my art analogy. The people are "painting" who they are, just as we all change ourselves little by little each day. They are not taking up painting as a hobby to make pieces of art as you interpret it.

>I encourage that you look more into this like I did, I mentioned two sources in my previous post that you can examine.

Except they don't go against what I've said. I said that helping someone change into what they want to change and making someone happy is part of a good relationship, you said that forcing someone to change against their will is bad, which I don't disagree with.

You still haven't explained why healing is so bad other than implying that helping someone grow as a person means you don't like that person.

Okay, I'll explain why the healing fantasy is bad. The healing fantasy is bad because it is ultimately a codependent relationship (which is a bad relationship). On top of that, it's lazy writing.

Read more here:

https://archive.fo/zwo18

https://archive.fo/wu8kA

The basic plot of this healing fantasy was explained in the earlier post >>385952 and I explained why the mentioned story was like that and why it is not good. Through the love of the good woman, he changes. The healing fantasy is comparable to forced change because someone else is taking responsibility for someone else's happiness, therefore is changing them. Changing a person doesn't have to be by force and the healing fantasy is the non-forceful way of being responsible for someone else's happiness.

My position is the story is not a healing fantasy if someone voluntarily wants to be happy and the other merely provides support. I would consider this a healthy relationship instead, because the relationship lacks over-reaching responsibilities, and therefore lacks codependency. It is a healing fantasy when someone decides to take responsibility for someone else's happiness, making the relationship codependent. For instance, the story this subject started with. Haruna takes responsibility of Anon's happiness on line 283, "Please let me, let us, make amends. Whatever you want, whatever will make you happy." Haruna feels responsible to make Anon feel better while Anon never voluntarily asked for feeling better. The relationship is codependent because Haruna: loves Anon because she can pity and rescue him, feels responsible for actions of other monsters, feels responsible for Anon's happiness, and her feelings were controlled by Anon's despair/mana.

The confusion in this serious discussion probably comes from definitions and where lines are drawn. Hopefully this is the last time I have to make a post, but I have doubts since I broke the previous promise.

I'm confused because there seems to be a slight contradiction in how you see things.

Firstly, who is undergoing the changing in this scenario? Anon, who is being changed by Haruna, or Haruna, who's changed herself? Is the unhealthiness arising from Haruna forcing her ideal of happiness on Anon, or is it arising from the fact that Haruna decides that she wants to help Anon?

>My position is the story is not a healing fantasy if someone voluntarily wants to be happy and the other merely provides support.

What do you mean "provides support"? Where's the line between providing support and unhealthily fixing someone? Where's the line between taking responsibility for someone's happiness, and wanting them to be happy?

In my personal opinion, one should not always respect their partners life choices. Specifically in the case of self destructive behavior. There is an objective standard for such behavior, and it's not unhealthy to try and change them so they don't engage in it any more. Call me codependent if you want, but if I see someone trying to engage in that shite then I'm gonna to everything I can to change them. By this, I mean understanding and helping people come to terms with the negative emotions they feel, and so that they don't need to feel them any more, rather than feeding them happy pills or whatever else.

I'm glad you raised the potential writing issue. I don't agree with your assessment in this particular case, but I see where you're coming from. I don't know how profitable it would be to argue the particulars. (You see the tanuki love Anon because she can pity and rescue him. I see her love him because her monster abilities let her see who he truly is. How could we persuade each other over something as personal as an interpretation of a passage?)

That said I think the discussion gets to the nub of something. In a conventional romance story you can derive narrative conflict from the romance itself. Do they actually like each other? Can they overcome this misunderstanding? Will he/she remain true when tempted? However, due to their peculiar nature, monster girls cannot experience any of these dilemmas. Monster girls love truly, faithfully, and completely. This creates a problem when you want to tell a monster girl story because the narrative conflict has to come from somewhere. Otherwise your monster girl story is just:

(a) monster sees boy

(b) monster rapes boy

(c) happily married

How you fit "stuff" around or into this (a)(b)(c) sequence is key.

For example, to get away from this the tanuki story's conflict is derived from Anon's actions as the antagonist:

(I) introduction of stakes

(II) antagonist actions create conflict

(III) climax including rapid (a)(b'ish)(c) from above

I cut out a lot I had written here but I'll just leave it at: You didn't like this solution. By your lights (III) read a lot like an unhealthy relationship. Anons can read what you said and decide if it's useful feedback or not.

On a personal note, and please don't take this as an attack, but you seem rather… hypervigilant regarding codependency. That's not bad really, but you may be closing yourself off to things unnecessarily. Suppose I'm totally wrong and these stories do all represent relationships unrealistic to the point of being unhealthy. Is that the end of the world? Even if you argue that the way monster girls are always totally committed to their husbands and support them no matter what is codependent, does that mean you can't enjoy the stories as unrealistic fiction? Action movies have nothing to do with real life /k/. Mystery novels spin tales comically more complex than the vast, vast majority of actual murders. Genre Fantasy is deliberately unrealistic. For all my pompous talk about narrative structure I really enjoy simple (a)(b)(c) monster girl content like silly little "ooga booga i raep u now boi" stories or heartfelt greentexts where Anon just straightforwardly imagines meeting his waifu. A story doesn't have to be instructional or a morality tale to be worthwhile.

I think I get what you're laying down, but I still think you're wrong. I'll agree it's unhealthy for someone to force change in someone else. That to date someone to "fix" them is very unhealthy indeed. But in a situation where someone becomes attracted to someone else who has self destructive tendencies, what are their options?

<1. Try to help them come to terms with their self destructive tendencies, which as you've stated is "changing someone" and is unhealthy unless the person specifically asks for help, which in most cases will never happen.

<2. Ignore the self destructive tendencies as a facet of their character, which is actually what happens in your article by someone who has codependency issues.

<3. Ignore your attraction and do not approach.

If you can think of any other options then I'm all ears. I'm interested to hear your response.

>The healing fantasy is bad because it is ultimately a codependent relationship (which is a bad relationship)

Again, the whole point of healing is not that you go in wanting to change a person or forcefully change that person, healing is when you end up helping someone you love grow as a person.

I agree that putting your partner above yourself so much that you end up hurting yourself, which is the entire point of the link, is bad, but that's not what healing is about. Healing is about helping someone be happy with himself, not about trading your happiness for your partner's.

>On top of that, it's lazy writing.

>I don't like it so it's bad

The first, and the only valid, critique of the link is that someone says I love you and the partner suddenly does an 180 and is instantly fixed, which is just bad writing in general and something that's not present in 99% of healing stories.

Read my previous post again.

Healing involves a lot of incentive and getting the person to be happy with herself, and not dependent on the one doing the healing.

>My position is the story is not a healing fantasy if someone voluntarily wants to be happy and the other merely provides support.

Nigger, that's exactly what healing is, or at least what the term is used for around here.

>"Please let me, let us, make amends. Whatever you want, whatever will make you happy." Haruna feels responsible to make Anon feel better while Anon never voluntarily asked for feeling better.

Again, wanting your partner to feel happy is something imperative in a loving relationship. The difference about healing is that it's not a forceful change, you don't have healing stories where some monster girl forces anon to do something he doesn't want purely because she wants him to do it.

>Haruna loves Anon because she can pity and rescue him, feels responsible for actions of other monsters, feels responsible for Anon's happiness, and her feelings were controlled by Anon's despair/mana.

>because

Except that's wrong, she doesn't love the guy because she feels responsible, she feels feels responsible because she loves him. Of course she'd want to make the guy she loves feel happy.

Also, something that's really common in /monster/ or weeb healing stories where there is an arc where the healed girl hurts herself for the sake of MC or (there's your codependent relationship), it always leads to her being reprimanded by the MC for not properly caring about herself, or vice-versa.

It sounds to me like you've read those links, read some stories you found by googling "healing" and now you think every healing story follows that setup.

The reason I bring this up, and am adverse to it, is because based on the discussion here, people legitimately think healing fantasies are god-tier, and applicable in real life. While one can suspend disbelief in a story (like obvious one-off smut no one will ever actually take seriously), they still take moral premises to heart, hence the reaction I got. I was hoping to reverse this misguidance and illusion through my own writefaggotry (be the change you want to see), I think I've already dragged my name though the mud here enough to where I will likely be outright ignored or attacked if I did end up posing anything. Shooting the messenger seems to be a sport here.

Here is a little experiment for you: find a beloved and popular story that has an obvious moral flaw, and point it out. Watch as the insults and (you)s roll in. Rape might be the easiest because it is non-voluntary and a violation of someone's property rights, therefore is immoral.

>>386116

I guess the first thing to ask yourself is why you want anything to do with someone who has self destructive habits. I don't care if they're sexy, because looks are temporary, virtue is forever. Going past that, you should understand the nature of their habits. If they are doing it because they're just plain stupid, or have Cluster B personality disorders, option 3, no questions asked.

If you establish a reason as to why, for instance, someone smokes cigarettes to manage overwhelming anxiety from past traumatic experiences, or someone eats to get fat because they want to avoid relationships by being unattractive, option 2 is the best. While doing that, you might remind them that they're no longer in an environment where they need to self-medicate to manage their feelings. In the book "Wired for Love" by Stan Tatkin, these people are usually "Islands" and require a specific approach. Option 1 is what our naive hearts might want to do, but the best option instead is having them go see a therapist since they know what they're doing unlike most of us.

As for disappointment, one would assume "The Last Bastion of Romance" would have had this nailed down, but it is clearly not the case. Unfortunately, it comes from me, and I wish it didn't have to. I'm sort of a villain here so I doubt many people would seriously consider read what I post.

>>386120

>my definition of healing fantasy is correct so you're automatically wrong

>i bet you just googled this

I've studied this for about the past year. I'm not just "googlilng" things. If you go to any book store and go to the section where 50 Shades lies, all the books have dark castles in the background with a hot shirtless man on the cover, literally everything there is a healing fantasy, because that is what makes the most money in the market from single 30 year old women. It is literally all healing fantasy and codependency porn. That's the official and established genre and it is one of the biggest cancers in American romantic media, even going back to older movies like Pretty Woman. Through the love of the good woman, he changes. This shit fucking sells, 50 Shades alone sold over 150 million copies world wide (data from 2014, statista.com).

What you are describing as a healing fantasy is really just someone fixing themselves with the support of their partner. I understand the sentiment that most people don't want sad partners and wish to heal them, however, doing so yourself is violating their boundaries and overstepping your responsibility, even if it is out of good will. Ultimately, people only change themselves, you can't change other people. People are responsible for their own happiness, and if they want to be happy, all you can really do is support them. This is not a healing fantasy, you are not healing them, they are fixing themselves, you're just making it easier for them to do that. Don't take my word for it because you won't, why don't you go pick up a phone and ask every licensed therapist in your area if people change themselves, or if you can change people.

Every now and again we all have to be reminded that, even in fantasy sometimes, relationships aren't perfect. It requires both sides to give 100%, to sacrifice certain indulgences, and to compromise. Arguably, I've read that more than 2 Anons here liked Pretty Woman. Does that mean the movie's a perfect representation of a realistic healthy relationship? NO.

Do stories about romance always need to be realistic? Fuck NO.

Co-dependency actually refers to a specific type of relationship where one member makes sacrifices for the other at the cost of their physical, mental, or emotional health. Their life may seem to revolve wholly around their partner yet they don’t get very much in return.

2: I don't see any stones being thrown by him other than his tone and manner of speech. You have every right to call him out on that, but calling him a furfag and libtard isn't really necessary.

3: I wasn't trying to discredit anyone. I stated what I agreed with him on (which was how we ought to avoid the 3dpd style of writing and that change ought to be personal) and that was it. If anything, I agree more with the opposition. The /monster/ style of writing the healing/change of heart isn't like 3dpd, but we ought to keep the point in mind so we can always avoid it being anywhere close if possible. Also, its fantasy. It can be as simple as mg meets then rapes boy, but adding more depth and thought can help better the immersion while keeping to the fantasy setting. I could go on, but I feel as though my reply is already needlessly long. Hopefully I made myself, and my words, more transparent.

Your arguement is horrible, holy shit. Yes it is your war including when the person is your friend or happens to be family. even if you aren't a professional person you still have a right and a duty to try and steer your friend on a better path or at least fucking support them enough to get off their feet. You are saying people should do nothing until specialized help can arrive. Your advice is by far the worst I've ever seen and is borderline apathy towards the helping of others and care of others. including if you're doing nothing when you know should be at least steering the person away from such shit. Quit trying to fucking have this moral high-ground while pretending doing nothing is the best things for others.

To summarize your arguement: Please don't do anything ok, let other people handle stuff even if your help is the most immediate one.

Do you honestly believe this to be a possibility? I mean, it's not impossible, alright, but I'd rather say you're being victim of "Newfag's first mistake" which is that you did not lurk long enough to understand this board culture. People have better things to do than gather and plan how to prove one Anonymous user wrong.

Oh, yes, you did anger some of us here in the writefag thread, I personally didn't like your opinion, despite agreeing with some of your points, but as I said, the way you presented your arguments was so flawed, you shot yourself in the foot and killed most possibility of debate in the egg.

>and if posts being deployed here are being made behind my back. Why isn't this burst of posts attacking me, not considered thread derailment as this burst of attacks doesn't contribute to discussion on the writefag thread? Is it because Aux is in on it too, and allows this to occur?

Oh but the ones willing to discuss this can earn something positive from it all… That is, if we're willing to consider the other's arguments, in fact more than one post above these did mention that you're not entirely wrong and will perhaps use these good points in future works, so, objective accomplished. And no, Aux might be board owner, but he's certainly not gonna scheme some internet bullying on his own board for the sake of it. The man does what he wants, he fucks shit up too, as any human does.

>Most importantly, since people are responsible for their own happiness, why are they allowing this argument to get under their skin and act hostile?

Calling someone a newfag and shittalking them until they leave is imageboard tradition, whether they did get angry or not. Additionnally, no, one individual is never 100% responsible of their happiness, if your dream-life involves a happy family and your children fall ill, you can bet your very soul you're not gonna feel O.K. and worse of all, you'll be powerless, even a surgeon has to trust their patient will be strong enough to make it after the operation. You put a target on your back by the form of your message, not its function. Also, /monster/ loves stories featuring "one day, your waifu will come and make your life better" it's a staple of the MG genre, you waltzing in here saying that such a dream is BAD is a terrible idea.

Next post, we'll summarize this whole debacle so we can end this once and for all.

Let's start this all over again, from the top:

<"Hostile TakeOver" (https://pastebin.com/J3GxzzkW) uses a dangerous writing trend seen in many mainstream media, depicting a female character falling in love with a man who is unhealthy, both as an individual and partner. Through her own efforts and affection, she manages to heal him and both end up happy. This kind of stories this board love so much is unrealistic and if you want to use the title of Last Bastion of romance, you're doing it wrong."

Now, your first mistake was that you did not comment on the Story itself, which was rude, you simply wanted to criticize this trope, citing one of the most despised piece of mainstream writing in latest years as your comparison. Should you want to, I can explain why that sabotaged the rest of your discourse.

The second was that you clearly ignore the first rule of Monter Girls (as seen by this board): a MonsterGirl's love is ABSOLUTE, this is the "honest" part of the Last Bastion of Romance, whatever the reason, whatever the circumstances, the MG and the Anon are Soul-Mates, their union true and will endure even in death. It's without a shadow of a doubt, the cheesiest concept ever, but isn't it the core of Romance itself? For Love to be eternally beautiful and true? That is what most Anons here look for, the image of Love reciprocated, an oasis of old traditionnal values in the despair-filled modern-world.

This means that, in Hostile TakeOver, from the scene where Anon shows Haruna his true Mana and she wants to make him happy, we know she isn't doing it out of self-gratification or to manipulate him for her own gains, she genuinely cares about him and wants him to be better, not a different person.

This is a point you seem to misunderstand, "Healing and Purification" hinge on the fact that the characters at the end of the story are objectively happier, while you are 100% correct to say that this is unrealistic and extremely likely to be dangerous in real life. But I believe the vast majority of users on /monster/ have long since realized that fiction is fiction and are able to differentiate between reality and fiction, just as you rightfully pointed out: a decent portion of internet culture hates the modern world values and desires something else, namely, meaningful relationship, they can't find it IRL, the least we can do as writefag, is entertain this dream, provide a tiny insignificant bit of respite.

Finally, some of your sentences felt very "masturbatory" and inflamatory, for no reason, quote: >>386029

>The absolute saddest part about this is that my mangy furfag ass figured this out before anyone else here did. Last Bastion of Romance? What a fucking joke.

A textbook exemple of hostile and narcissistic behaviour, and that was in response to a comment that reacted positively towards your main point! >>385980

So in short: despite your valid argument, you failed to understand your audience, you failed to follow proper board etiquette, you then used a poor choice of words and ended up antagonizing most of your potential audience including those who could have benefitted from your advice. You have only yourself to blame for this, expecially if you believe in: "people are responsible for their own happiness".

That is all from me. Goodevening to all who've read this wall of crap.

TLDR: Lurk moar, filthy furry faggot.

morality involves action retard, your highground trash talk means nothing if no actions are taken. You probably did not have mommy and daddy tell you that doing stuff for others and yourself is a part of reality. All actions constitute as change, your following of articles of people who dont know what a good relationship is is quite telling. You cannot recognize it, you're doing this furfag discord thing and its fucking your shit up. If you do surround yourself by egomaniacs eventually you will lose all sense of what is life and what is selfishness. and you cant even see it through your argumentation.

Why do you think someone should be entitled to someone else's emotions? Taking responsibility of someone's happiness is manipulative. You can't force someone to experience happiness. You're conditioning them to where they will become dependent on you for happiness, and you're conditioning them to feel sorry for themselves. This is extremely selfish. People are better off when they can learn to create happiness for themselves, and the best way to do this is to lead by example. Subsidizing their happiness sabotages their ability to become self reliant for a feeling they're responsible for. If they really wanted to be happy, they'd find a way on their own, and you have no business interfering with it. If they want to be sad because it gives them attention, they will continue to do so.

You're too focused on the outcome rather than the starting principle that causes it. A common form of this is the wage gap myth.

>/monster/ loves stories featuring "one day, your waifu will come and make your life better" it's a staple of the MG genre, you waltzing in here saying that such a dream is BAD is a terrible idea.

I'm completely aware of this observation. However, not everything we love is necessarily good for us. Some people love alcohol, but it damages the liver and the brain. Some people love fast food, but it makes them fat and die at 35. Some people love masturbating, but it wears out your pre-frontal lobe to where you become a lazy slob, and wears out your dopamine receptors to the point where nothing is enjoyable.

I'm talking specifically about the healing fantasy and the illusion of love it presents. It warps expectations to where it is detrimental to actual relationships. It's why 3D who read modern romance novels act PD. I've seen it here more than I'd like, the opportunity for stories that teach real intimacy and relationship skills realistically is being squandered. No doubt it will be painful for some when it is pointed out what they love is merely an illusion and I expected there would be a lot of hurt feelings. However, facts don't care about feelings, and the uncomfortable truth is preferable to comfortable lies.

>Additionnally, no, one individual is never 100% responsible of their happiness…

This is false because it disregards an individual's moral agency, they decide their own emotions. If someone I care about gets sick, then it is my decision to be sad about it. I can also take them to the doctor, get them cured, and then choose to feel better. If someone points a gun to my head, I choose to feel fear. If I trained to to disarm someone holding them at gunpoint, I'll choose to be brave. If someone posts something I don't agree with on the internet, then it is my decision to be irritated. If I spend a few minutes to meditate to keep emotional pressure from negatively influencing my decisions, I can choose to be calm about it and write my reply. Emotions can only be experienced first hand and we are responsible for our own emotions.

>you clearly ignore the first rule of Monter Girls (as seen by this board): a MonsterGirl's love is ABSOLUTE

This is merely an observation. Don't strawman a tendency as absolute. It is also a preference, which can't be proven.

>That is what most Anons here look for, the image of Love reciprocated

I posted a book here about it. I doubt most people even looked at the pages I suggested. I doubt most people even read the entire thing. Even if I come off as rude, there is no excuse for avoiding knowledge, and if people wanted to write about what true love really is, then they should first look for it elsewhere outside of their idealistic imaginations, /monster/, or MGE because in recent years, there has been a huge amount of relationship studies done and published on the internet. The book I posted is a good start, I guess.

>But I believe the vast majority of users on /monster/ have long since fiction is fiction and are able to differentiate

Fictional work generally written with an underlying message that is applicable reality. I saw issue with this when people were cheering on what was a healing fantasy and that it was "god-tier" The issue arises when the validity of the message is proportional to the works quality OR popularity. For instance, The Communist Manifesto, Das Kapital, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, and the Talmud. Your belief is just an assumption.

>A textbook exemple of hostile and narcissistic behaviour

Sometimes I like to shit talk. It is part of imageboard culture after all. It's not my fault people might be offended by it. If they ignore what I say just over that, that's their problem.

>the characters at the end of the story are objectively happier

Like the last anon, you are focused more on the outcome than the principle that constructs it.

>despite your valid argument, you failed

Great, so feel free to make the argument for me in other threads since you're more in touch with the audience and you see value in it. I'm no car salesmen and I've been blunt in this discussion.

> You have only yourself to blame for this, expecially if you believe in: "people are responsible for their own happiness"

So I'm responsible for for making the audience feel antagonized? And this prevents them from reciprocating the advice because I offended them? No, being offended is a choice, and it is not an argument.

>TLDR: Lurk moar, filthy furry faggot.

Again, my preference is not provable, and you'll never know if I was serious or ironic the entire time.

Substantiate your claim Aux.

On another note since you seem keen on bringing family into discussion: Making assertions about one's character due to their family of origin is ascribing a moral cause to a biological situation, is immoral. If someone gets dealt a bad deck for life, you show them sympathy.

>If you do surround yourself by egomaniacs eventually you will lose all sense of what is life and what is selfishness.

if anything your rant about wanting to die is just hardcore blogposting. Nobody who is sane has your mindset. get help and stop thinking that healing someone is bad.

Aux, please directly refute the argument.

>Nobody who is sane has your mindset. get help and stop thinking that healing someone is bad.

Substantiate your claim. If I am that far incorrect, then it should be easy to find a more credible sources that claims: a codependent relationship is healthy and that we ought to be "fixers" that heal people and take responsibility of their happiness.

Since no one has been able to provide a source or credentials to refute the argument, then my argument still stands. The healing fantasy is where you take responsibility for other people's happiness. It is a codependent relationship which is manipulation.

While I understand you want a board where Anons can experience romance though the form of fictional writing or images, this healing fantasy is merely an idealized illusion of romance. In reality, it is manipulation in disguise and is misguiding the hearts of those that do desire the experience of romance or love.

If you were in a relationship with someone they would poke at you at one of your habits if its bad. its part of having a relationship. then again material arguments often get in the way of the inmaterial personality changes that will happen in a relationship regardless of what you percieve of them.

Anyways you compared radfem fiction to stuff that people write here and expect it to be on the same level. That kinda makes you deluded. Also you did that " you dont know if im a furfag spiel" so you also have the incentive to not change from your degenerate dog fucking tollerating ways.

next time research some more.

This podcast is more focused on medical diseases, their discomforts, and grief from loss. It has nothing to do with personal relationships. It has nothing to do with personal habits within a relationship. It has nothing to do with personality changes during a relationship. It does not in any way counter any of my arguments.

>podcast hosted by Krista Tippett

>writer for the huffington post (https://www.huffingtonpost.com/author/krista-tippett)

By your own standards, you should not have used this podcast as a source.

>raomi believes in finding reasons of fixing things and when to back off.

She never mentioned this in the podcast you linked. If you would have listened to your own source, you would have known she defined fixing, in the context of the podcast, as curing a medical disease, and fixing/curing all diseases was an impossible goal so healing was the other option because it was easier.

>If you were in a relationship with someone they would poke at you at one of your habits if its bad. its part of having a relationship…

This is imposing your own goals on others. It is manipulation and is part of a unhealthy relationship. It is treating your partner with contempt because you are avoiding knowledge of the partner and instead, making it about yourself (RTR pdf Pg 50).

>Anyways you compared radfem fiction to stuff that people write here and expect it to be on the same level. That kinda makes you deluded.

I never mentioned feminism in any of my posts. The only thing that comes close is stating that healing fantasies in modern day romances about changing men is female narcissism, but this doesn't discuss feminism. Stop deliberately mischaracterizing my arguments.

>Also you did that " you dont know if im a furfag spiel" so you also have the incentive to not change from your degenerate dog fucking tollerating ways.

I never made the position that beasteality is tolerable behavior. Like one of the others before you, you're strawmanning a observation as an absolute.
