I think there’s a little confusion on what a natural monopoly is. While you’re right about artificial monopolies a natural monopoly exists because of high cost to enter the market, large capital costs, limited market size, or resource scarcity give the largest, and often only company a massive advantage. Examples would be roads, electricity, water, production of rare earth metals etc.These monopolies exist because of how difficult it is to get started within the market because the monopoly already fulfills the need for the product(s). Even if there were government intervention making it cheaper to enter the market there’s only so much space to put new roads, or power lines, or water pipes.
