There has been no change in BO, I'm just trying to clean things up a bit more. I may delete out posts in this thread just because I would like keeping the >>1 post for tradition's sake.

A suggestion, your Grace. Invert the colors, use something dark for the background images, then use some shade of purple for the text color, it would be far less garish. Consider the Tomorrow theme from the list of pre-made ones as your inspiration.

Maybe you can try emulate the design elements of palace interiors. Like by adding some fluer de lis everywhere, and by decorating the posts with classical floral patterns, and maybe also doing something with the borders.

I approve of the latest style sheet for /monarchy/. It's dim on my eyes to have a dark background rather than coming here and having a light background glow in my face. This dim color scheme is much softer. It helps a lot.

I think we shouldn't mess around with font color. Keep it simple white on black text. It's very nice as it is already.
Also, we need to find a way to get more monarchists on this board. This week has been a great uplift in people. Great traffic and upkeep in board activity. If only now we had more volunteers making monarchist banners.

I'll probably leave the font and other colors as it is. I think I like the borders as they are. It would be nice if they could have a tiny flourish, but I'd probably screw that up, so I'll take what I can get there.
Regarding fonts, I was not referring to the color, but I was getting at the actual font. I wanted to find something that looks like the kind of print used in an 18th century newspaper (and ended up with that garish cursive font in testing), but the 8ch limits the css here to what you can find in Google fonts.
Also, I don't know whether it might be worthwhile to throw an embassy thread in /fascist/.

If there's anything we could gain from /fascist/, I think they have a nice set of banners. /monarchy/ is definitely a more light-hearted board and that is a good thing. I was kinda hoping with all these /fascist/ anons on the board, they'd also import their banner-making craft and help in that thread.

The cultural renewal on /monarchy/ has been a steady success so far. I like that we have a new style board and slowly moving towards emblems/banners. I like coming into a thread and seeing the banners on top.

I've worked behind quite a few Grace Chan pics and I'm spent. All my resources and draw friends are spent. If only someone else could commission a piece I know where cheap artists are who charge very cheap … or, if some anon could bring over a drawfag they know. It would be tremendous assistance. I cannot provide another Grace Chan with the situation I'm in.

Sounds like you can make a slice of life anime out of this. What about going to /loomis/ or some other art board, and asking those guys if they would be interested in doing a piece featuring all these mascots? It's not like they would be shilling for any one particular mascot, so they might be interested.

If anyone gets to producing a Grace piece and doesn't have an idea, here are a few ideas I had written down long ago.
#1. Grace Chan rising from the lake, presenting Excalibur.
#2. Grace Chan with glowing eyes and SHUT THE FUCK UP, MONARCHOMACHIST
#3. Grace Chan with Alunya put in a Guillotine, singing "Guilotine Permeante"
Grace Chan is sitting on top of her. She is somewhat nonchalant. Alunya is
strapped in the guillotine like a reverse of events.
#4. Grace chan with Alunya, holding a Noose around her neck.
The noose is held with her behind, in a semi-lewd fashion, as Grace says,
"Hanged, drawn, and quartered." Almost in a sardonic way, but seductive.
#5. Grace Chan in solemn prayer.
#6. Grace dressed up as a cavalier, but purple garb.

Alright, it's not working. I tried to use the following on the body tag:

One of the things I tried before might have worked before, actually. It's hard to know because this site sucks trying to do any sort of testing with it. For example, I reverted back to the old css over an hour ago, there have been new posts, my cache has been cleared over several browsers, and yet I'm still seeing the emblem as the background instead of what we had yesterday.

You can test the CSS in realtime with ctrl + shift + I if you're using Chrome, just go to the sources tab, click on "stylesheets" > "board" > "monarchy.css", and it's easy to see your changes. I'm sure it's something similar for other browsers.
