We need all hands on deck!
This board is in dire need of creative talent. Let's make new banners.
There must be a cultural renewal. A new age of /monarchy/.
For I also say that /monarchy/ should create an emblem for itself. A board emblem to spread as an icon for /monarchy/. I'm guessing a crown would be the first symbol to consider, but I reckon there might be a plethora of symbols/colors to represent the monarchist way.
Also, a banner has to be 300 x 100, I'm sure. I recommend using
http://www.simpleimageresizer.com/
to achieve this.

If you have any skills/talent such as the likes – respond to this post.
This post will be like an anchor for this thread. I'm not looking for the 5-star expertise. Skills like drawfagging, photoshopping, MS paint stuff, editing, videos,– anything useful. It doesn't need to be entirely organic. I'm sure you could just find a picture and take it to MS paint, add /monarchy/ to it, and make it work. There's a bunch of potential.

>EMBRACE DESPOTISM
I think that's a little too hardcore, but saved top kek.
>How are these?
I think we're going towards a good start. We should first get /monarchy/ to fit in with the circle, probably erase the 'embrace despotism' unless we have a good consensus on this. I'm going to save that, but I think it should be reworked. First things first, get /monarchy/ to fit and don't capitalize the 'M' in /monarchy/. Leave it uncapitalized.
I might personally request a few 'embrace despotism' variations, though.

>EMBRACE DESPOTISM might be too hard core
I could see where you're coming from on that. I just recently read the Wikipedia definition of despotism and there is a perceived negative connotation attached to the term. I don't see a difference between a monarch or a despot.
From what Wikipedia told me, a monarch governs according to a set of rules or law, while a despot governs according to his will. I'm not a big fan of this Wikipedia distinction.
This distinction implies that a monarch has no control over the legislation of his country. Which is ridiculous. Only AristoLARPS would dare to hold back or limit the power of a monarch.
Besides, due to the political animalism many peasants hold dear to their hearts, even an altruistic monarch will be called a "tyrant" or a despot. So why bother playing nice?
Only when we as peasants EMBRACE DESPOTISM will we be able to kill the political animal that dwells inside us and holds us back.

Despotism is another word for lordship. It definitely used to have a neutral connotation and was associated with the Byzantines. A despot is simply a lord.
>This distinction implies that a monarch has no control over the legislation of his country.
That's the usual 'tyrant v. monarch' distinction. I have a few things to say about it. First, a monarch can rule with his laws. A monarch is very well capable of upholding them alone for the common good. Equal share in power is obviously not necessary seeing as how most are contented to rule over the other. It's more about the concern between what Dante describes as 'cupidity', but it's just passion vs. intellect. My opinion is an unpopular opinion that sometimes passion is good. People fear a youthful monarch, but I feel that youthful energy is useful and the passion involved is a necessary part. – So, yes, a monarchy is good with a lawful reign and a monarch doesn't need a clique of aristolarps (councilmen) arbitrarily ruling over the monarch at every turn to decide what is lawful. It should be obvious that upholding the laws. And there are examples in history of Emperors who did such as Trajan and others.
>So why bother playing nice?
Because I want everyone on this board to be happy in their own sake. I don't want to crush the limited/mixed monarchists. I don't want to crush the libertarians or fascists. I think it is good to have contrarian views every now and then. If /monarchy/ wants to lead in the limelight, it must be ready to use every member to its benefit and even the negative energy. While I'm fond of putting an aristolarp in their place, I don't think right to expunge them.

Thats a valid point I can agree with. I still think we ought to use Despotism and try to bring back that neutral connotation that it had, but I am open to other phrases that can fit in that circle.

Personally, I like the emblem without the /s because when I wrap the text around the circle it tends to look janky. Also wrapping a y looks odd as well.
>we're bringing sexy back
Additionally you can replace '"sexy" with words like ''tradition", "family values", "stability", "sanity", or [adjective of choice].

>Personally, I like the emblem without the /s because when I wrap the text around the circle it tends to look janky.
But we need those to advertise the board. /monarchy/ > monarchy
I think the 'we're bringing sexy back' is the closest one that catches the way I think the /monarchy/ tag should look. I think it just needs to be adjusted to fit with the circumference better. If you could, straighten that out a bit and make the 'stop thinking like republicans' one a bit like that one. Just add the /s and adjust it. Decrease the front size for it too, imo.

I'm thinking crossing a scepter with an Egyptian flail. The infinity symbol is also Egyptian in origin with the ouroboros. Obviously, /monarchy/ needs a crown and unique symbol. And a crown set apart from other IRL crowns, maybe using the infinity symbol with the arches? There are plenty of symbols to use. I think it should be kept relatively symbol. Have a shield with the infinity symbol in the center, with /monarchy/ somewhere.
If we're going to nominate a few beasts, I think a canine would be cool. A wolf or dog. Preferably red or green. I would be pretty happy if you went with dog/or wolf.

Here are a couple hounds.
A simple rule is to separate the colors with metals. So, don't let other colors touch most often without a metal color like gold/white separating it. I think with the 8chan symbol, it's okay for the coat of arms to bend that rule. It should just be kept simple. No need to have a complex coat of arms or anything too difficult.
