Don Jnr accuses head of DOJ election crimes unit Richard Pilger, of being the 'Deep State' after he resigned in protest over Bill Barr authorizing federal prosecutors across US to pursue 'substantial allegations' of voter fraud despite little evidence
President Donald Trump's son, Don Jr, was quick to criticize Pilger.
He wrote: 'Wait. Seriously? Isn’t this the guy who was involved with the IRS and Lois Lerner in targeting conservatives and the Tea Party? Maybe that’s why he hasn’t done s**t at DOJ. #deepstate'
His tweet seems to be a reference to a meeting Pilger had in 2010 with then-IRS unit director Lerner, which was scrutinized by Republicans in congress.
Lerner headed the IRS division that processes applications for tax-exempt groups. An inspector general's report in 2013 found that the IRS had singled out conservative and tea party groups for extra scrutiny when they applied for tax-exempt status.

1 – Summary –
This report summarizes the results of our review of the GEMS election management system, which counts approximately 25 percent of all votes in the United States. The results of this study demonstrate that a fractional vote feature is embedded in each GEMS application which can be used to invisibly, yet radically, alter election outcomes by pre-setting desired vote percentages to redistribute votes. This tampering is not visible to election observers, even if they are standing in the room and watching the computer. Use of the decimalized vote feature is unlikely to be detected by auditing or canvass procedures, and can be applied across large jurisdictions in less than 60 seconds.
GEMS vote-counting systems are and have been operated under five trade names: Global Election Systems, Diebold Election Systems, Premier Election Systems, Dominion Voting Systems, and Election Systems & Software [ES&S], in addition to a number of private regional subcontractors. At the time of this writing, this system is used statewide in Alaska, Connecticut, Georgia, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Utah and Vermont, and for counties in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming. It is also used in Canada.

How does this work?
Imagine you have 4 votes split 2:2, and the algo weights them (whether according to which candidate votes go to, to voters' social groups, or even both) at .50 or 1.49 (extreme case, likely much more subtle IRL), but the system only shows pollsters the rounded up integer numbers: .5 and 1.49 both will be rounded to 1, so what you'll see is the real 2:2 split voting.
But now imagine, when tallying the totals, the algo computes votes' weight, not numbers, yet, again, only presents the rounded (integer) totals: what you end up with is a (fraudulent) 1:3 vote split (.5+.5=1 and 1.49+1.49=2.98, which rounds up to 3), and a stolen election!

"By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (50 U.S.C. 1701 et seq.) (IEEPA), the National Emergencies Act (50 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.) (NEA), section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 (8 U.S.C. 1182(f)), and section 301 of title 3, United States Code,
I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, find that the ability of persons located, in whole or in substantial part, outside the United States to interfere in or undermine public confidence in United States elections, including through the unauthorized accessing of election and campaign infrastructure or the covert distribution of propaganda and disinformation, constitutes an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States. Although there has been no evidence of a foreign power altering the outcome or vote tabulation in any United States election, foreign powers have historically sought to exploit America’s free and open political system. In recent years, the proliferation of digital devices and internet-based communications has created significant vulnerabilities and magnified the scope and intensity of the threat of foreign interference, as illustrated in the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment. I hereby declare a national emergency to deal with this threat.
Accordingly, I hereby order:
Section 1. (a) Not later than 45 days after the conclusion of a United States election, the Director of National Intelligence, in consultation with the heads of any other appropriate executive departments and agencies (agencies), shall conduct an assessment of any information indicating that a foreign government, or any person acting as an agent of or on behalf of a foreign government, has acted with the intent or purpose of interfering in that election."
"Any recommended sanctions shall be appropriately calibrated to the scope of the foreign interference identified, and may include one or more of the following with respect to each targeted foreign person:
(i) blocking and prohibiting all transactions in a person’s property and interests in property subject to United States jurisdiction;
(ii) export license restrictions under any statute or regulation that requires the prior review and approval of the United States Government as a condition for the export or re-export of goods or services;
(iii) prohibitions on United States financial institutions making loans or providing credit to a person;
(iv) restrictions on transactions in foreign exchange in which a person has any interest;
(v) prohibitions on transfers of credit or payments between financial institutions, or by, through, or to any financial institution, for the benefit of a person;
(vi) prohibitions on United States persons investing in or purchasing equity or debt of a person;
(vii) exclusion of a person’s alien corporate officers from the United States;
(viii) imposition on a person’s alien principal executive officers of any of the sanctions described in this section; or
(ix) any other measures authorized by law."

Republican activists have urged supporters of President Donald Trump to send complaints against TV networks to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for calling President-elect Joe Biden "president-elect" after projecting him as winner of the 2020 election.

Twitter posts by blogger Michelle Malkin and others urge Trump supporters to send the FCC consumer complaints over networks referring to Biden as "president elect," despite similar language being regularly used after previous elections. The posts quote a section of the agency's consumer guide dealing with complaints for networks who "intentionally distort the news."
"The FCC is prohibited by law from engaging in censorship or infringing on the First Amendment rights of the press," the guide reads. "It is, however, illegal for broadcasters to intentionally distort the news, and the FCC may act on complaints if there is documented evidence of such behavior from persons with direct personal knowledge."
It is not clear what "direct personal knowledge" of the broadcasters intentionally making false projections in Biden's favor is claimed by the activists. Trump and many of his allies have continued to claim without evidence that the election is being "stolen" from him.
Although there are no uniform standards, media outlets typically project an election winner when they determine it is mathematically, and all but certain, that a candidate will win.
A Twitter user spearheading the "call to action" insisted that "the media can make projections for each state but have no legal authority to call a state until election results are certified." However, there is not much distinction between a news organization making a "call" or a "projection," with neither term denoting an official result.

Projected winners of presidential elections have long been referred to as "president-elect" by the media before state results are officially certified. The certification process varies by state and typically happens weeks, and in some cases more than a month, after Election Day.
Several networks projected that Trump won the 2016 election early in the morning on the day after Election Day and quickly began referring to him as "president-elect" until his inauguration. In the battleground states that won him the election, Trump's margin of victory over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was significantly slimmer than the advantage Biden current holds over him.
Trump beat Clinton by around 78,000 combined votes in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, securing his Electoral College win. Although a small number of votes are left to be counted in Pennsylvania, and the Trump campaign have demanded a recount in Wisconsin, Biden is ahead of the president by about 214,000 votes in the same states as of Monday night.
With the possible exception of Arizona, what little votes remain to be counted are unlikely to see Trump make up significant ground in states where he is behind. Recounts also rarely alter the results of elections, especially not elections where candidates are separated by thousands of votes.
A recount was conducted in Wisconsin following the 2016 election, resulting in Trump widening his lead over Clinton by 131 votes. Although a recount is yet to be conducted in the state this year, Biden currently leads Trump by 20,539 votes.
Newsweek reached out to the FCC for comment.

Ben Rhodes, former deputy national security adviser during the Obama administration, claimed on Monday that “foreign leaders are already having phone calls with Joe Biden.”
Gen. Mike Flynn, the first national security adviser for President Donald Trump, was prosecuted under an arcane law called the Logan Act for having precisely such communications with foreign leaders before Trump was sworn in.
Former Vice President Joe Biden has been accused of suggesting the Logan Act as a pretext for investigating Flynn, although other Obama administration officials claim the idea did not come from Biden.
Rhodes said Biden is already talking to foreign leaders during an MSNBC appearance on Monday afternoon:

Rhodes made his comments while scoffing at President Donald Trump for contesting the results of last week’s election.
“The Trump people seem to be talking like they have some agency here. We’re going to have the pageantry already of the president-elect announcing his advisory board. He’s going to start announcing cabinet secretaries. The center of political gravity in this country and the world is shifting to Joe Biden. Foreign leaders are already having phone calls with Joe Biden, talking about the agenda they’re going to pursue January 20th,” said Rhodes.
“I remember, I was on the incoming side, where I felt the spotlight shifting to us in 2008 and I was on the outgoing side in 2016 when it was shifting away from us to Donald Trump. That’s just going to happen regardless of what they do,” Rhodes added.
Gen. Mike Flynn resigned soon after Trump took office in 2017 because Obama advisers accused him of violating the Logan Act by communicating with foreign officials, specifically Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
The Logan Act is a 1799 law that forbids private citizens from discussing U.S. foreign policy with foreign governments or their representatives. No one has ever been fully prosecuted under the Logan Act, not even the person for whom it is named, a doctor named George Logan accused of treasonously subverting the foreign policy of the young American republic by holding negotiations with France.
Flynn had a phone conversation with Kislyak on December 29, 2016 — long after Trump was certified as the winner of the 2016 election — during which he discussed sanctions the Obama administration imposed on Russia after the Russians were accused of trying to influence the election. Flynn told Kislyak he wanted the Russians to refrain from retaliating for the sanctions and escalating the diplomatic feud between Russia and America before Trump took office.

It is an admirable goal. But any chance of that happening depends on the American people having confidence that the election outcome resulted from a fair and honest process. Though never perfect, our electoral system has generally instilled confidence for the past 231 years, which is why it has worked so well.
Under the contentious circumstances of this election, the traditional media’s decision to declare a victor before the official process had run its course has diminished the confidence of Trump voters in the announced result. Even if the declaration of a Biden victory is found to be accurate, the call was premature, and it will make the effort to unify our nation far more difficult….

The Pentagon’s acting policy chief resigned on Tuesday after falling out of favor with the White House, raising fears of a post-election purge at the Defense Department.
The departure of James Anderson, the acting undersecretary of defense for policy, potentially paves the way for Anthony Tata, President Donald Trump’s controversial nominee for the top policy job who was pulled from consideration due to Islamophobic tweets, to take over the policy shop. Anderson's resignation also comes one day after Defense Secretary Mark Esper was fired by Trump, also over policy disagreements.
Anderson, who was confirmed in June as the No. 2 policy official but has been acting in the top job, submitted his letter of resignation on Tuesday morning, a copy of which was obtained by POLITICO. He had been expected to be asked by the White House to resign in the next few days.
“I am particularly grateful to have been entrusted with leading the dedicated men and women of Policy, who play a key role in our Nation’s security,” Anderson wrote in the letter. “Now, as ever, our long-term success depends on adhering to the U.S. Constitution all public servants swear to support and defend.”
Anderson stepped down after clashing with the White House personnel office, according to current defense officials and one former defense official, who expect Anderson will be the first of several departures in the wake of Esper’s firing.
A Pentagon spokesperson could not immediately be reached for comment. A White House spokesperson said they don’t comment on personnel.
As one of the most senior officials in the Pentagon, the undersecretary of defense for policy is the principal adviser to the defense secretary on formulating national security and defense policy across a range of high-profile issues.
Anderson pushed back on several Trump loyalists the White House tried to install at DoD, including Frank Wuco and Rich Higgins, said one of the people, who like others requested anonymity in order to discuss sensitive personnel issues. The White House tried and failed to install Wuco, a controversial former talk radio host who once called President Barack Obama “a Kenyan,” as a deputy overseeing special operations, and Higgins, a former National Security Council staffer who pushed conspiracy theories on Twitter, as chief of staff for Tata.
Anderson has been acting as the Pentagon's policy chief since February, when the White House pushed out John Rood, the last person to be confirmed in the job, over perceived insufficient loyalty to the president.
Anderson was confirmed by the Senate on June 3 in the position of deputy undersecretary of defense for policy, which had been vacant since July 2019. However, he has continued acting in the No. 1 role since the Senate canceled a confirmation hearing for the White House's top choice, Tata, after CNN unearthed his Islamophobic tweets.
