Just after I typed this, looks like someone deleted the post about being denied a gun permit for a threat of violence.
Hey guise - this needs to be talked about. Because if a post if really a threat, that is illegal. And the poster is required to be permanently banned for this board and all 8 boards. There's no halfway position. Only clear and specific threats require (and deserve) a permanent ban (even if only symbolic bc of vpn's).
It's one thing if the example is clear. This one was not - and several anons expressed this. In a case like this, why not either contact BO or make a Global Report?

The poster's context was in appropriate due to proximity and foreseeability. Mixing guns and the President, is a red flag.
They were NOT denied a gun permit due to a threat of violence, the denial was allegedly, because their local authority was a 'Shithead'.
There was no talk of banning only deleting that post and how to report an "off' post.

I don't know gun laws in New Jersey but I've heard they were strict.

That's a rate of about 2.3% of vaccine recipients
CDC says a severe allergic reaction, anaphylaxis, was reported in 6 patients
Both vaccines are effective at reducing the risk of symptomatic COVID-19 for at least 14 days (Moderna) or more than two months (Pfizer-BioNTech)
It's impossible to know how effective the vaccines are beyond the number of days they've been given to humans. It's also impossible to know this soon what are the potential long term side effects, if any.
CDC emphasizes that it believes both of the COVID-19 vaccines approved for emergency use are safe and effective.
The agency is keeping a close eye out for adverse events.
The agency's "V-safe active surveillance program," which allows for patients to voluntarily, directly report adverse events outside of the normal VAERS (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System), reports that a total of 215,362 people had received their first dose of vaccine as of December 18.
Of that number, 5,052 or 2.3% were reported to have an unspecified "health impact event" defined by CDC as serious enough that they were "unable to perform normal daily activities, unable to work, required care from doctor or health care professional."

People vaccinated can't donate convalescent plasma after; donations are needed now
PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) - While it's promising to see the first round of people getting vaccinated for COVID-19, a new problem that blood banks face is less convalescent plasma donations.
The reason why: after you get the vaccine, you cannot donate plasma. So what does that mean for people in the hospital with COVID-19 who need it?
Vitalant blood bank said right now, one in every four patients hospitalized with COVID requires a convalescent plasma transfusion. But in order to keep that going, donations have to keep up.
"I am just feeling absolutely grateful and thankful to be alive," said Arizona state representative Lorenzo Sierra.
Just weeks ago, Sierra was on a ventilator with a 13 to 33% chance to live from COVID. But the game-changer: convalescent plasma. Once he started getting that, he made a 180.
"They have said my recovery has been something that they have not seen, so I have to imagine that the convalescent plasma I took did have some part in my recovery," he said.
But now the worry is if donations can keep up with the demand for those who need it as Sierra did.
Convalescent plasma therapy uses blood from people who've recovered from an illness to help others get better.
"This is all happening; it's changing every single day," said Sue Thew with Vitalant blood bank.
Once people are vaccinated, they cannot donate plasma. Vitalant said the reason why is because the vaccine causes spike antibodies, and for convalescent plasma, they need nucleocapsid antibodies.
Vitalant said they're working with the FDA to get permission for those who had COVID before and have donated plasma before to continue doing so after they get the vaccine.
"We're hoping that that permission will come through in the next few weeks to a couple of months," Thew said.
Representative Sierra said he plans to help as many COVID patients as possible while he can.
"Hopefully, I can give plasma at least a couple of times before I get my vaccination," said Sierra.

In the state I live in, the county which I reside it is almost impossible to get a ccw. I will not even apply for a ccw while in this county because if denied you have to put down that you were denied on a ccw permit in the future.
Denials look bad on a ccw permit no matter what the reason, even when applying for a ccw in a different state. IMO it is better not to even apply in a restrictive county/state and be denied. I will wait until I can relocate before I apply for a ccw. In my state the county sheriff makes the approval for a ccw permit.

On it goes. Daily. It’s no wonder that so many people have stopped believing anything that “public health authorities” say. In combination with governors and other autocrats doing their bidding, they set out to take away freedom and human rights and expected us to thank them for saving our lives. At some point this year (for me it was March 12) life began feeling like a dystopian novel of your choice.
Well, now I have another piece of evidence to add to the mile-high pile of fishy mess. The World Health Organization, for reasons unknown, has suddenly changed its definition of a core conception of immunology: herd immunity. Its discovery was one of the major achievements of 20th century science, gradually emerging in the 1920s and then becoming ever more refined throughout the 20th century.
Herd immunity is a fascinating observation that you can trace to biological reality or statistical probability theory, whichever you prefer.'' (It is certainly not a “strategy” so ignore any media source that describes it that way.) Herd immunity speaks directly, and with explanatory power, to the empirical observation that respiratory viruses are either widespread and mostly mild (common cold) or very severe and short-lived (Ebola).
Why is this? The reason is that when a virus kills its host, it cannot migrate. The more aggressively it does this, the less it spreads. If the virus doesn’t kill its host, it can hop to others through all the usual means. When you get a virus and fight it off, your immune system encodes that information in a way that builds immunity to it. When it happens to enough people (and each case is different so we can’t put a clear number on it) the virus loses its pandemic quality and becomes endemic, which is to say predictable and manageable. Each new generation incorporates that information through more exposure.
This is what one would call Virology/Immunology 101. It’s what you read in every textbook. It’s been taught in 9th grade cell biology for probably 80 years. Observing the operations of this evolutionary phenomenon is pretty wonderful because it increases one’s respect for the way in which human biology has adapted to the presence of pathogens without absolutely freaking out.
Until one day, this strange institution called the World Health Organization – once glorious because it was mainly responsible for the eradication of smallpox – has suddenly decided to delete everything I just wrote from cell biology basics.
What this note at the World Health Organization has done is deleted what amounts to the entire million-year history of humankind in its delicate dance with pathogens. You could only gather from this that all of us are nothing but blank and unimprovable slates on which the pharmaceutical industry writes its signature.
That is why the Great Barrington Declaration, written by three of the world’s preeminent epidemiologists and which advocated embracing the phenomenon of herd immunity as a way of protecting the vulnerable and minimizing harms to society, was met with such venom.

'"The deal is done": EU and UK clinch narrow Brexit accord
Britain clinched a narrow Brexit trade deal with the European Union on Thursday, just seven days before it exits one of the world’s biggest trading blocs in its most significant global shift since the loss of empire. The deal means it has swerved away from a chaotic finale to a tortuous divorce that has shaken the 70-year project to forge European unity from the ruins of World War Two.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen told reporters: “It was a long and winding road. But we have got a good deal to show for it. It is fair, it is a balanced deal, and it is the right and responsible thing to do for both sides.”
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson tweeted a picture of himself inside Downing Street, raising both arms in a thumbs-up gesture of triumph, with the words “The deal is done”.
“We have taken back control of our money, borders, laws, trade and our fishing waters,” a Downing Street source said.
“We have delivered this great deal for the entire United Kingdom in record time, and under extremely challenging conditions … all of our key red lines about returning sovereignty have been achieved.”
While the last-minute deal prevents the most acrimonious ending to the saga on Jan. 1, the United Kingdom is set for a much more distant relationship with its biggest trade partner than almost anyone expected at the time of the 2016 referendum. A deal had seemed imminent for almost a day, until haggling over just how much fish EU boats should be able to catch in British waters delayed the announcement of one of the most important trade deals in recent European history.
The UK formally left the EU on Jan. 31 but has since been in a transition period under which rules on trade, travel and business remained unchanged until the end of this year.
The details of the accord have yet to be made public, but if the sides have struck a zero-tariff and zero-quota deal, it will help to smooth trade in goods that makes up half their $900 billion in annual commerce.
It will also support the peace in Northern Ireland - a priority for U.S. President-elect Joe Biden, who had warned Johnson that he must uphold the 1998 Good Friday peace agreement.
Even with an accord, some disruption is certain from Jan. 1 when Britain ends its often fraught 48-year relationship with a Franco-German-led project that sought to bind the ruined nations of post-World War Two Europe together into a global power.

I Had Covid for 17 Days. Here’s What It Was Like.

A lot of folks are out there saying that COVID is a myth, that viruses don’t exist (wth?), or that the whole pandemic has been a scam. While I strongly disagree with the lockdowns and restrictions on our ability to make a living, there truly is a pretty bad virus out there. And I know this from personal experience.
I had Covid and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. It was brutal and I had what would be considered a “moderate” case. This article isn’t meant to be used as medical advice or political fodder. This isn’t a treatise about a magical cure being kept secret by Big Pharma nor is it about the Deep State, some villain who cooked up a bioweapon, or any other theory du jour. My medical and treatment choices may be different than yours. I’m simply relating my experiences.
This virus hits people very differently. If you were fortunate enough to have a mild case, don’t disregard your next door neighbor who ends up with permanent organ damage. Some people are asymptomatic, some have minor symptoms, some are moderately ill, and some die. This is definitely not “just the flu” for many people. I never had a case of influenza that took me down like this, particularly not for this length of time.
I don’t think that there is a “typical” case of Covid because there are so many variables.
How it started
First of all, to answer the inevitable question, I have no idea how I got Covid. I work from home. I have been following the local rules and staying on my property aside from trips to the grocery store. I haven’t been to any gatherings, I wear a mask as required by regulations in the city where I’m staying, and I wash my hands at the appropriate times.
Day 1: On Monday, the 7th, I started feeling kind of “off” for lack of a better word. I was tired – very, very tired – and I went to bed ridiculously early, at 7 o’clock because I just couldn’t keep my eyes open.
Day 2: When I woke up on Tuesday, I realized that I was sick and brushed it off as the flu or a cold. I figured a day with chicken soup, peppermint tea, and a nip of Jack Daniels for a stubborn cough would have me right as rain in no time. At that point, my symptoms were a dry cough, body aches, a very mild sore throat, and an all-encompassing fatigue. Later in the day, I got so cold that no amount of blankets and heat could warm me up. I was running a high (for me) fever that kept going up during the night.
What it was like to have Covid
Days 3-5: Over the next three days, chills and fever were almost constant. My joints and muscles hurt. Getting up to go to the bathroom felt like an expedition up a mountain. I was tired and winded. I had very little appetite and even less of an inclination to cook food so I existed mostly on peanut butter and crackers and leftover soup. I was absolutely exhausted and so cold that I shivered violently when I got out from under my bed piled high with blankets. I had super-weird dreams. My cough worsened, my head hurt, and my throat was still mildly sore.
Day 17: I finally woke up feeling almost normal. I awoke at 6:30, my usual time, without an alarm clock. I took the dogs out, grabbed some coffee, and got a bit of work done before my appointment.

'So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish' - UK Announces Historic Brexit Trade Deal

Update (1027ET): After nearly a 30-minute delay, an extremely exhausted and pale looking Boris Johnson finally walked out to the podium and confirmed to the British people that after 4.5 years, a Brexit trade deal has finally been reached - one that according to BoJo, leaves the UK with control over its own laws, markets and - importantly - waters, among other aspects.
BoJo didn't offer too many details, except on the subject of fisheries, which he proclaimed that for the first time since 1993 "we will be an independent coastal state with control over our waters".
To help the UK fishing industry adjust, BoJo said he has secured a £100MM chunk of cash to help "modernize" British fishing fleets.
According to details leaked earlier, the UK will retain a higher share of the annual catch from its waters (at least until the deal expires).
As for the "third party arbitration" clause mentioned below, BoJo explained that the "stimulus of more regulatory competition will benefit us both" and that complaints will only be lodged "infrequently".
Finally, before jumping into a litany of thank-yous, BoJo proclaimed that the dealmakers had succeeded in "squaring the circle" and "finding the philosopher's stone".
But most importantly, the deal means "certainty" for a British people badly battered - like the rest of the world - by the COVID pandemic.
Critics are already drawing up their complaints about the deal relegating too much economic control still to the EU. Still "there will be no palisade of tariffs on Jan. 1…instead there will be a giant free trade zone that the UK will at once be a member…while still being able to do our free trade deals"….together with the entire United Kingdom.

Speaking from Downing Street on Christmas Eve, Prime Minister Johnson announced the agreement of what he terms a “comprehensive, Canada-style free-trade deal” — an agreement that Mr Johnson has been seeking since the beginning of negotiations, which the European Union had said was impossible to strike.
“I’m very pleased to tell you that we have completed the biggest trade deal yet, worth £660 billion a year,” he said, continuing that the deal would protect British jobs by allowing “UK goods to be sold without tariffs and without quotas in the EU market, which will if anything allow our companies to do even more business with our European friends.”
Mr Johnson implied that the deal, which he said was 500 pages long — not 2,000 as previously claimed — and which as yet must be passed in the House of Commons, fulfils completely the June 23rd, 2016 vote to leave the European Union.
He said: “And yet, what it achieves is something that the people of this country instinctively knew was doable but which they were told was impossible: we’ve taken back control of our laws and our destiny, we’ve taken back control of every jot and tittle of our regulation in a way that is complete and unfettered.”
Johnson continued that “from January 1st, we are outside the Customs Union and outside the Single Market,” pledging that “British laws will be made solely by the British parliament, interpreted by UK judges sitting in UK courts, and the jurisdiction of the European Court of Justice will come to an end.”
“We will be able to set our own standards,” the prime minister added. “We will be able to decide how and where we will stimulate new jobs and new hope with freeports, new green industrial zones.”

Beijing starts anti-monopoly probe against Alibaba
The Chinese government says it has launched an anti-monopoly investigation into e-commerce giant Alibaba Group. The probe comes as the leadership headed by President Xi Jinping is tightening control of IT giants that are gaining influence, Alibaba Group in particular. The State Administration for Market Regulation announced on Thursday that a probe is underway into Alibaba's monopoly conduct.
Alibaba is suspected of using its dominant position to urge business partners on its online market to refrain from dealing with its e-commerce competitors. Also on Thursday, four financial regulatory authorities say they will jointly provide guidance soon to mobile payment provider Ant Group, an Alibaba affiliate. Alibaba Group issued a statement, saying it will actively cooperate with the market regulator's investigation.
In an economic policy meeting last week, Xi's leadership had announced a plan to ramp up control over IT firms. Alibaba is under growing pressure. An investment affiliate was fined for monopolistic behavior earlier this month. In November, Ant Group suddenly suspended its initial public offering, which was set to be the world's biggest ever stock market debut. Regulators' guidance is said to be behind the suspension.
Observers say Alibaba Group has been under pressure since its founder, Jack Ma, made remarks critical of financial authorities.

Education Department asks University of Alabama for report on funding from Chinese groups
The university's name appeared earlier this year on the Wuhan Institute of Virology website.
he Education Department is asking the University of Alabama to provide records of contracts, gifts or donation agreements with any China-funded company or institution flagged by the agency – amid an allegation the school failed to report a partnership with the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
The request was made in a letter dated Tuesday and follows the department’s discovery earlier this year that the university’s name was on the WIV’s website, according to the Epoch Times.
The university on Wednesday told the news outlet it reviewed the matter and “found no ties or connection between UA and WIV, and no reason for UA to be listed on the website.”
The letter from the department's principal deputy general counsel also points out the Higher Education Act of 1965 states institutions of higher education are required to report any gifts or contracts “from or with a foreign source.”
It also requested within 30 days “true copies of each gift or donation agreement, contract, and/or conditional gift or donation agreement” the university had with the dozens of companies or institutions listed by the department.

The five key events in the fake pandemic

This article is a summary. I’ve written extensively on each of the five key events.
ONE: The false claim that a new virus was discovered and isolated.
No true isolation has been performed. The so-called genetic sequencing of the virus was actually a concoction, a cobbling together of pieces of data referencing segments of RNA. These segments were PRESUMED to be parts of the new virus—but researchers didn’t have the virus, so their presumptions amounted to fraud.
TWO: The erecting of a diagnostic test (PCR) for the virus they didn’t have. Obviously, no such test has meaning. It is built on the same sorts of absurd assumptions that led to the fictional discovery of the virus. However, strategically speaking, the test has produced millions of “positive results,” which are taken to mean “infected by the virus.” On this foundation of sand, the lockdowns were declared.
THREE: The Chinese lockdown of 50 million citizens, for no medical reason. This unprecedented event provided the model for other governments, and for the CDC and the World Health Organization. Now it was “acceptable” to imprison the global population and wreak economic devastation across the planet.
FOUR: The absurd computer prediction of 500,000 deaths in the UK and two million in the US, made by historically failed modeler, Neil Ferguson. His institute at the Imperial College of London is bankrolled by Bill Gates. Ferguson’s predictions were used to convince Trump and Boris Johnson that states of emergency and lockdowns were necessary.
FIVE: The forced premature deaths of millions of elderly people across the world—which were falsely called “COVID-19 deaths.”
These people were and are suffering from multiple long-term health conditions, made far worse by decades of medical treatment with toxic drugs. Terrified by a COVID diagnosis, then isolated from family and friends, they give up and die.
There are other important events, to be sure, but these are the key five.
The underlying fact that needs to be understood: what is called COVID-19 is not one condition. It is a variety of illnesses and effects stemming from different traditional causes RE-PACKAGED under the label, “COVID.”
Where authentic new conditions and causes may be involved, independent investigators need to look closely at such clusters of people, where they live. For example, the investigators should find out whether toxic vaccine campaigns were initiated in a community or region prior to declaration of the “COVID outbreak.”
