CERN's Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is currently the world's biggest particle accelerator, whizzing particles into each other at phenomenal speeds.
The 27-kilometer (16.8-mile) proton-smashing ring, running about 100 meters (330 feet) below France and Switzerland, has, among other things, been used to prove the existence of the Higgs boson.
Dubbed "the God particle," its discovery in 2012 broadened science's understanding of how particles acquire mass and earned physicists Peter Higgs and Francois Englert the 2013 Nobel Prize for Physics.
The LHC is expected to have fully run its course by around 2040, and CERN is considering building a far larger collider to allow scientists to keep pushing the boundaries of knowledge.
The planned Future Circular Collider (FCC) would be a ring with a circumference of 91 km and an average depth of 200 meters.
Scientists believe that ordinary matter—such as stars, gases, dust, planets and everything on them—accounts for just 5% of the universe.

After a series of defeats General George Washington considered the winter of 1776 the most perilous moment of the American Revolution.
The Continental Army was weary and an insufficient number of men were willing to stay the course and morale was shattered. The army had shrunk dramatically and many believed, as Washington called it, “the cause”, was on the verge of collapse.
Washington recognized the untenable strategic position and knew decisive action was required. His bold decision to cross the Delaware River for the surprise attack on Trenton on December 26, 1776, with the password "Victory or Death," signaled to all his men of his awareness that failure could end the Revolution.
Historical accounts, including those from Washington's aides and contemporaries, describe this period as the "darkest hour" or low point, before the victories at Trenton and Princeton revived the Patriot cause.
There were still many difficult moments ahead (the long winter crisis at Valley Forge for instance (winter 1777–1778).
America is currently going through an even more severe trial of endurance. Yes it is a different form of warfare. It’s called 5th Generation Warfare.

LA (T.me) It occurred to me just now, that it seems like we’ve all had to, or are in the process of, swallowing whatever red pill hurts us the most. All red pills are hard to swallow but then there are those that make us bleed inside from the pain.
For some people it might be financial red pills, for others it might be medical, the religious one I fear is the hardest for a lot of people, but eventually we will have swallowed them all (if we don’t choke first!🤪).
I was trying to think which pill was the hardest for me to gulp down and without a doubt, it was realising the unimaginable level of evil, that has overtaken this world. For the first time, the concept of Satan was not just some biblical myth, it was real.
I will never forget a conversation I had with someone that had rescued child victims from satanic ritual abuse. My heart sank, my brain froze, my spirit shook… how could it be possible? How could anyone carry out such horrific acts? How could humans be capable of this? Surely they can’t be human…
I had never considered the possibility of ‘soulless’ humans, but it seemed to me, there could be no other explanation. These people have sold their soul to the devil and now they want to drive us all down the road to hell.
I’m not sure I’ll ever recover from this red pill, but it keeps fueling my resolve to do my best to bring awareness to as many people as possible, as hard as they may find it to believe.
Confronting evil has brought me closer to God than I have ever been and for this, I am grateful. Even darkness has a silver lining.
With God in our hearts, we must now do what we must, to make sure no more children are harmed. Let’s never loose sight of the fact that children are our most precious treasure and keeping them safe from harm, is our most honorable duty.
