Vento Aureo (黄金の風 Ōgon no Kaze, lit. "Golden Wind") is the fifth story arc of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, published in Weekly Shonen Jump between 1995 and 1999. Originally titled JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5 Giorno Giovanna: Golden Heritage (ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 第5部 ジョルノ・ジョバァーナ【黄金なる遺産】 JoJo no Kimyō na Bōken Dai Go Bu Joruno Jobāna [Ōgon naru Isan]), the arc spans a total of 155 chapters and takes place after Diamond Is Unbreakable.

But your comparison to DIO and Kira is what the rest of the fanbase thinks. He's trying to be both at the same time and just isn't as good at it as them. I think he'll get a bit better before the end, but as I said. I'm already looking forward to certain scenes in the part, including the end, and getting onto part 6. Which doesn't rank very high among fans, but still is more favorable than this part. At least it's fights are a lot smarter from what I hear.

I'm trying to reserve judgement on King Crimson but overall this part and the last are lacking compared to parts 2 and 3 (I guess even 1). King Crimson probably has a whole nother type of ability to unveil as well as at least 1 more creative way of using his ability.
Maybe Gio will start stepping up in the next part but so far he has been a tremendous disappointment to the Dio name.

I would merge The Called Him Diavolo" into Green Day and Oasis" and merge "The Requiem Plays Quietly" into one. I might also merge "Diavolo Rising", "Golden Experience Requiem", and "Sleeping Slaves" together for one big finale. Which seems like a lot, but there's some short chapters in there, and Sleeping Slaves is an epilogue arc.
Or I can leave They Called Him Diavolo alone since it's on a Wednesday.

As you noticed he kinda feels things out at the very beginning of a part. However he clearly bit off more than he could chew by giving Giorno so many powers. Once they got to that island and Dopio appeared this part started getting good. The ending was amazing and added a bunch of new lore and questions. Last part we got the arrow and ghosts with aliens but now we have this eldritch horror shit with requiem stands and more soul lore. I was thinking this might've been the worst part yet but the last stretch definitely bumped it up a few points.

Even after the Requiem boost the only thing Gio made was a scorpion and a bee. Really bummed he never made anything bigger in the entire part. GE Requiem might be badass but seeing tigers and sharks popping up from the ground would've been nice to see. Araki should've made the final battle longer and included more Gio summoning huge animals to attack Diavolo instead of that weird rock epilogue.
