Vento Aureo (黄金の風 Ōgon no Kaze, lit. "Golden Wind") is the fifth story arc of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, published in Weekly Shonen Jump between 1995 and 1999. Originally titled JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5 Giorno Giovanna: Golden Heritage (ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 第5部 ジョルノ・ジョバァーナ【黄金なる遺産】 JoJo no Kimyō na Bōken Dai Go Bu Joruno Jobāna [Ōgon naru Isan]), the arc spans a total of 155 chapters and takes place after Diamond Is Unbreakable.
Set in 2001 Italy, the story follows Giorno Giovanna and his dream to rise within the Neapolitan mafia and defeat the boss of Passione, the most powerful and influential gang, in order to become a "Gang-Star". With the aid of a capo and his men, and fueled by his own resolve, Giorno sets out to fulfill his goal of absolving the mafia of its corruption.

This is why it is a blessing Doppio died. Forever and for all time, perhaps all the way to the end of the universe. Diavolo will still be dying without end.

Giorno is Satan, Divalio was a bad guy but he didn't do anything to deserve that, this whole part has felt like the "heros" were punching down, and anyone trying to stop them were facing huge odds. I thought Divalio was going to get a requiem too but it was just Gio annihilating him. Gio needs to be a villain in a future part.
also why of al Jojos does Gio get the ultimate power, if anyone it should be Joseph

To be fair it was GER that did all the talking and winning. Giorno just summoned it and muda'd with it.
>>6202
No, no one deserves an infinite punishment. That's why Araki was smart enough to have GER be the one responsible for it. Which is part of why I consider all this to be fairly eldritch stuff.

It kinda seems like the stand has plans of its own and is only pretending to be subservient.

I do love how Giorno just looks at it like he's trying to figure it out and GER is just staring off into space pretending to not notice.

Overall I was kind of hoping there would be more people growing body parts and more of a fight.
>>6202
He could be a good villain but it also seems like a really broken power. I could imagine him just quietly fading into the background never to be seen again.
>>6207
It's not really an epilogue if it comes before the main bit chronologically.

Once they got to that island and Dopio appeared this part started getting good. The ending was amazing and added a bunch of new lore and questions. Last part we got the arrow and ghosts with aliens but now we have this eldritch horror shit with requiem stands and more soul lore. I was thinking this might've been the worst part yet but the last stretch definitely bumped it up a few points.
>>6199
Why did the arrow fall out of his stand? Is Requiem only a temporary form?

It's implied, but we have not much to go on. Giorno only appears again in the novel Jorge Joestar, which has part 6 spoilers and whose story is batshit insane, and Eyes of Heaven.

I liked it better than the previous part, but definitely not better than the third part (if I have my parts right- I think the third part was the one where they went to Egypt). Maybe a step below parts 1 and 2 IMO.

Well she did use it against that blob stand on the plane, I'm more disappointed that Fugo's stand only got one fight since it seemed way cooler. Also now I wonder how GE Requiem would deal with the unstoppable blob stand.

>Which stand does he have in the novel?
GER. In the vaguest of terms, Made in Heaven starts doing its thing and GER passively protects Giorno from it. However Rohan Kishibe was also protected because he was too preoccupied with his manga to notice. They team up with a kid detective named Joji Joestar and travel the multiverse, meet 37 copies of perfect Kars, and get into a huge fight with Dio Brando over the holy corpse parts from part 7.
This was not written by Araki.

GER would just set it to zero.

However it is important for the whole overarching plot of JoJo's. One thing that has remained constant, ever since part 1 even, is that fate is a governing force in this universe. It is a very important element to the series especially part 6.

Gio is gonna be such a shitty gangster if he never kills anyone or sells drugs. At that point what is the gang even good for?
>>6235
Wait a second…
Gio didn't want help from Koichi and didn't want to call Jotaro cause he was undercover right? So why didn't he call for help when he turned on the boss after Bruno vs King Crimson.
Also I'm curious how the interaction between time stop and time deletion would work. Would the foresight just be a stuck screen and would Diavolo even have the chance to delete time before getting killed?

Incoming negativity I really loved parts 1,2,3, and 4, I was able to get past switching Hamon to stands, and even the big tonal difference in part 4, but I fucking hated part 5, awful writing with mediocre to terrible character development, deus ex machinas and Mary Sue shit. Tons of squandered potential. But I'm really excited for part 6, thank you for posting Jojofag.

He clearly hasn't had a problem with killing, and he said that he only cares about drugs getting sold to kids.
>Gio didn't want help from Koichi and didn't want to call Jotaro cause he was undercover right? So why didn't he call for help when he turned on the boss after Bruno vs King Crimson.
I think we both know why.

I imagine he'd see the effect, but not the cause.

Even after the Requiem boost the only thing Gio made was a scorpion and a bee. Really bummed he never made anything bigger in the entire part. GE Requiem might be badass but seeing tigers and sharks popping up from the ground would've been nice to see. Araki should've made the final battle longer and included more Gio summoning huge animals to attack Diavolo instead of that weird rock epilogue.
>>6238
Yeah I think this might be the worst part but still enjoyable because of the end stretch.
