Vento Aureo (黄金の風 Ōgon no Kaze, lit. "Golden Wind") is the fifth story arc of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, published in Weekly Shonen Jump between 1995 and 1999. I made a thread on b asking about how all the numbers on nerv are generated and codemonkey responded with the whole formula for them (I didn't actually look at it closely but it seemed sort of nonsensical) but I've made multiple threads on sudo asking about the suggested boards and I've never gotten a straight answer.

I found it harder to believe that Koichi was surprised there are Stand users in Italy. Part 3 was literally Around the World in 80 days with Stand masters from every different backround and walk of life. It's more intuitive to me that there are pockets of Stand users all over the world.

I just realized something. We know normal jails can't hold stand users effectively since that aqua necklace guy broke free. Alot of the stand users we see are just beaten up as punishment of their crimes and told not to do it again but realistically they would just go do it again where a group of good stand users aren't there to protect the populace. So as a measure to permanently stop evil stand users the SWF could use the rock paper scissors kid to suck the stands out of bad guys so they lose their powers.
Sure the kid would become super OP but if they keep him drugged up all the time and in a heavily fortified dark chamber at the bottom of the ocean and inject bombs and shit into his neck or something then they could keep him controlled too. As long as they don't give him a something TOO strong like reality warping or time control then they could save the world from the stand threat that is causing all these problems. Then when all arrows are destroyed and all stand users are killed or have lost their power to rock paper scissors kid then you would kill the kid and stands go away forever and the earth is safe.

Good point. But it also kind of seems like Polpo was high-ranking and on the rise since the boss trusted him. Maybe he was making more wakes by recruiting members faster (using the golden arrow and his test) while the other people of similar rank had to work a lot harder to recruit and find people with stands. This could mean seeking them out but it's also been said stand users attract other stand users.

Guess there was no reason for the mission because he's content with learning that Giorno was DIO's kid and leaving it at that even though he's a Joestar and probably has some stake in the family estate. I have to wonder if Araki's editors forced him to do a half baked transition between parts.
They shouldn't have even bothered. Especially considering the plot hole it makes in part 6 that gets lazily filled in. Theory seems plausible.
I kind of thought part 1 would more be setting the tone but there really hasn't been a death as dramatic to me as Zeppeli's IMO (hell even the original Jojo, his dog and his dad in the first part). Caesar's was pretty good but the tragic elements have been steadily decreasing as the cast has gotten big and bloated to the extent that they're not particularly well developed.
I guess there aren't that many mangas/animes that have such a big new cast of characters to handle every arc so he does pretty well considering. But last arc he was sort of losing me at times and hasn't re-inserted any sense of danger here.

I see where you're coming from. It's not remarkable in terms of ability, especially coming after Hol Horse. But the scene where they stopped the bullets going into his head was a highlight for me. Also the personality is kind of cool, it's kind of like the Act 1-3 as the token stand that's its' own character.

I disagree with the part about Koichi since he isn't a child and is in fact older than Giorno. While he does look child like I find it foolish to consider someone who's flying by himself to be a child. That and I have zero problems with how Giorno decided to show restraint to him.
