I invented the towergirls thread and ran it over on /ic/ for like 3 years so I'll probably never forget it. I kind of miss doing it but until I get to a certain level and can come up with some fun new ways to approach the randomization aspect I figured I'd let it die for now. Someone's taken up the mantle for me over there but he doesn't critique anything or post the previous thread's submissions; I do appreciate still seeing it around at any rate.

Self-promotion and networking are two of the most important things for an artist, that's absolutely allowed here. The only time I frown on sharing blogs or even patreons is when it becomes a poster's modus operandi-essentially the only reason they're here. If someone is using the board as a vehicle to promote themselves then I'm going to put a stop to it eventually, though not likely with a ban.
Banning people for sharing their blogs on an art board and preventing them from making connections with their peers or clients would be both retarded and abusive on my part so that's definitely not what I'm about, but there is a limit to my patience if I see that a person has absolutely no intention of otherwise contributing to the board normally, you know?
There's only a few things I'd outright ban someone for here and none of them involve posting their blog:
1. Vandalism (real spam, gore/"shock" imagery, board sliding etc.) (temp ban or permanent ban depending on context)
2. Incontrovertibly Illegal stuff (permanent ban)
3. Crab stuff (temp ban)

To be honest man you just don't have too many followers and you might not get commissioned for a while regardless of your prices, which is just fine, you can focus on improvement and getting to a level where whatever money you ask for your work is well-earned. I think you're underpriced certainly, but you could still stand to improve, as could we all. I think you're on the cusp of being able to receive work but it might be a while yet so use this time to study and draw freely for your portfolio on twitter.
Also, you should consider posting your work way more than you retweet anything. I had to scroll down pretty far too see the bulk of your work-a lot of potential clients may have left by then not understanding that you're an artist yourself, leaving all but the most tenacious among us such as Big Dick Nigga in the dark. They say that someone going onto a new web page spends less than five seconds deciding whether they want to stay on that page or not and I imagine a twitter page is the same way, so make sure you have your work prominently displayed at all times.

I figured from the chibi drawing that he's supposed to have oversized legs and monster arms due to the fur, though i'm not good at expressing textures at all yet.
Generally i prefer drawing grayscale black and white objects or scenery (at a beginner level), but i'm thinking about anatomy and actually coloring, but i don't really want to spread my attention out too thin, so i'm not exactly pushing it right now. Still better to experiment than not touch it, i guess, but i will look into it, that i can promise.

Keep in mind, the clavicle creates a sort of square "U" shape as it converges on the sternum and the sternocleidomastoid muscles usually leave a sort of impression in the direction of the back of the ear. Consider looking at a few live references of the neck/trapezius area and filling in the blanks here and there. Looking good though man, love your stuff

I wanted to try drawing something with no distractions or breaks. I tend to work in incredibly short bursts.
No deciding what to draw (hence, the roll for girl). No thumbnails. No thinking about the design.

Pretty cool bro, for the most part I like it. I will tell you some things I think would improve it though.
Her bare head with just the flames coming around her ears brings to mind a middle aged man's horseshoe hairline-I think it would look much better and feminine if you had the white flame hair covering most of her forehead
The expression in the mouth is a little awkward-and that combined with the bald head instantly reminded me of this series of 23 year old beer commercials. I think I kind of know what you were going for but as a start you might try for thinner lines next time-look at an anime mouth with that "lost edge" down the center and see why it might work for that artist while yours could use a little tlc.
Also, the breast on our right is a bit polygonal, almost square shaped, try to nail that smooth curve next time around.
Good pose and a nice attempt, though. Keep it up!

Ah, I meant to answer that anon in the theme thread about liners and it slipped my mind. Was that you? I'm going to assume, since you brought Brianne up again. (Take this with a grain of salt, I've done no testing and this is just my opinion from use.)

The SPs are refillable, yes. I don't know what the refills cost. If they use the same tips as the regular, non-refillable (grey bodied) multiliners I got, and I didn't just get quality outliers with my set, then they're an even bigger waste of money for the status. I already mentioned the split tip on the 01, and the 005 & 003 seem to have weak flow. I thought they just needed broke in, but the 005 especially still seems weak. Yeah, those are getting down very fine and you can't expect them to be too juicy, but other 005s I have flowed better when they were new.
I've also got this set of prismacolor premier fine line markers. They lay down an ink that's like sharpies: Blue-black instead of red-black, and maybe a little more bleed-prone. Since prismacolor is a sanford brand, it might be sharpie ink. Tiny, expensive sharpies.
I'll probably go back to pigma microns, as they seem to be just as good if not better than copics for less. If you want to try, get whichever you can find cheapest at the time, I guess. Pigmas can be bought in 3 or 4 packs that give you a nice center range of sizes that would be good for starting out.

That's pretty obvious just from looking at it. Regardless, a problem other than her booty is the decaying flesh, It has no depth, it almost looks like torn clothes in some parts. Her face is also.. I don't know. The forehead is absolutely flat and nose blends into the mouth almost like a short snout. It looks like you've intentionally drawn a non-human character, but I don't think you meant it to look like that.
If you ever go back and revise some of these, this would be a good candidate.
That sketch tells me you originally wanted her her rear to be rather well developed. What exactly happened in the drawing process?

Perspective is always a thing that's in play, luckily it's less noticeable with regards to organic forms but it's still something that ought to be considered under most normal circumstances. To that end, it's not so much the figure that's wrong or the box that's wrong on their own, rather it's their spatial relationship that becomes a little wonky. Ignoring the figure and just focusing on the box, note how the trajectory of its bottom contours imply an eye level well off-screen (which is normal mind you) and the lid isn't "deep" enough on the z axis and is too long on the x axis to properly fit with its bottom

Yeah, but in that case you could stress that more, eschew something that looks too much like a box-turn it into an "organic form" in the same way the figure is, something to which its orientation in perspective isn't as readily apparent or crucial in the way it might be for a box or a building etc.. Add a "twist" or something to that effect to emphasize that "this isn't a normal box, bro!"

Make sure you keep in mind the canon proportions while you're practicing, you will always be able to manipulate them much more skillfully later. One thing I will say is that pencil looks glorious on marker paper. What the fuck? Some of your faces are still nightmare fuel but I think you're starting to grasp form to a degree. One thing to remember about the Loomis head drawing method is that it does not fit open-mouthed expressions by default, you need to account for the hinge of the jaw and the only way to understand that properly is to observe real people and real skulls so you can better understand what's going on under the surface.
You still have a ways to go, look at that strap around her tail for example. We would think of that strap as a cylindrical form (which you didn't completely fail at, mind you) so you'd want to emphasize those curves more while still making sure those studs are in the right place.
Try and conceive of the tail (and any form, particularly with something wrapping around it) as if it were made of glass. You have the right idea and you're very close, but when something deviates even slightly it hurts the illusion. What I've done sure as hell isn't perfect either but just an example-sometimes it helps to use the ellipse tool.

Some things that could be improved is if you gave some of those clothing articles that would have a significant volume, like those circular "fasteners", a visible plane like

As long as you do it in an intelligent way, the more you do that with your subtler details whether it's something like a leather strap or a button or anything like that the better the piece will look. Remember again to zoom in and give yourself room. If your brush is too big relative to your drawing area (like for example an area you'd designated for a facial feature) you simply won't be able to get the detail you want. This is something I'm working on too because it seems like a lot of work to do that-but it's just another thing in a long list of things you have to do to make something look good.

I think at this point one thing you might want to do is look for a grittier textured brush for sketching and then use the brush you're using now for cleanup as it's intended.
As far as the drawing itself goes, notice the big discrepancy between the volumes of her two calves. While foreshortening might create a VERY subtle difference between the two separated at that distance, it would be the calf further from the viewer that would hypothetically appear smaller rather than the reverse as you have it now.

By grittier I just mean a brush with some texture/grit that gives you something you can layer/gradate a bit with and that adds some lost edges to your sketch which you can go in and indicate with a stronger brush with more varied line weight later.
Kind of like how this furry duo use a pencil-like sketch and go over it with an ink-lile brush. In photoshop or Krita you can use a brush that gives you a similar feel to a pencil, then you can lower the sketch layer's opacity setting and go over it on a new layer with an "ink" style brush. I think that might be a good alternative to using the soft round brush, anyway.
However, the brush you use to sketch with is less important than you trying to work on your line weight. Really get in there with your zoom tool, your inking brush and a hard-edged eraser and try and make those lines straight and solid where necessary and thinner and lighter as appropriate.
(these people are annoying as hell but this tutorial is relatively brief and good)

My biggest problems revolve around your faces; they seem to be placed on without much thought as to the perspective of the head and it makes them look jarring. In your forward facing sketches like your recent one it's not so much an issue. To fix that you would try creating a perspective box for it for now complex angles and then work through it.
Hands are always good to practice, but I think the main problem with your hands in your foreshortening and how it's placed on the thigh.
The only other thing I could immediately notice off is how the upper arm and forearm connect; the exterior supinator likes to be between the bicep and tricep.
The only other thing I can think of is the hat seems a bit weird to me and I think it's because the shape of the top and brim some work in that perspective.
Your poses are very appealing and for the most part your torsos are pretty accurate. Continues studying anatomy and study from life; I know you can make it bruh.

Not him, but I think I know what he means. You tend to draw faces too flat on the front of the head. You're not allowing for the depth of the features or the asymmetry of the eyes when viewed in perspective, which is why the problem alleviates when you draw straight-on. Compare my redlines to where you placed the nose.
Also: I can't tell your whole process just from the construction/sketch & finished snapshots, but you might try getting the facial features refined on a bare head before adding hair, etc. It's real easy to screw up facial feature placement and size when other cranial landmarks are covered. I pencil in ears and hairlines even if they're going to be covered in the final.

It's better, man. I still think you're making the face too small on the head. (and the head too small on the body, but that might come down to style and preference.) One thing is you start out with the far eye circle going right off the side of the head. Almost looks like a pair of glasses instead of sockets for eyes. Try to get your foundation circles "inside" the sphere of the skull.
Also try cutting back on the demarcation of internal contours on your anatomy, at least until your linework gets more refined. Girls are smooth and don't look good with a lot of extra lines on them.

I'd argue anatomy is a big part of it, it's not something you notice, but it still makes it look unnatural and therefore bad.
Besides that there's line control, with chicken scratch and lack of regard for placement. The forearm armor, for example, both have the same line thickness on the right side, despite one being farther away.
Also, a bit of shading might make it look better but I don't know if that's it.
Try studying neck anatomy and remaking the neck, then trace over the drawing and pay attention to your lines, it should look better. If that still doesn't fix it then try shading, that might be it.

IIRC a rule of thumb regarding the neck is that it's another "third" like how the top of the head of the brow is a third, the brow to the base of the nasal cavity is a third, and then the bottom of the jaw is another third. At least from the front! In the back the neck inserts into the skull at about eye level, I think.
