Mmm, I reckon it is. I guess it tends to be better if the comedian doesn't have favourites, isn't invested much in it personally.

Ooooh, hopefully. I wanna buy some stuff but I like sales.
I got Company of Heroes 2 the other day by pressure of someone and I realized I'm not a huge fan of RTS games and generally suck at them.
At least it was just $1.

Hah. Have you ever seen Starcraft 2?! I mean, maybe. It usually takes like 3-4 minutes for violence to start happening in the professional matches. But there's loads where the action just never stops. Oh that reminds me, on a related topic although not quite the same one: some of the fastest pro in SC2 scene have like 400-600 actions per minute… that's an absolute shitton of multitasking and micromanaging your units. So I wonder how that compares to other kinds of games. Though I think it would be hard to compare directly with other games because, say, in a shooter or an adventure game, you hold down a key to move, while here you have to click your mouse or press keys, holding keys down generally doesn't have much use.
Aha, I see ^^ Lemme know how you liked it if you do.

It doesn't compare to other games because it's only real competitor is Warcraft 3 which is much slower.
SC2 is unique in that regard.

Mhmm. I think it's partially the freedom in the control and the super quick responsiveness of units to commands which gives the game a lot of potential to micromanage your units… although you only see that in higher leagues and pro level (with success anyhow).
Like this match from about 2:06 till like 5:05, juggling the robots with the transport is such an impressive feat.

Yes. Two immortal juggling with a warp prism, if done correctly can really be decisive to how a fight goes.
And it's certainly application of those high actions per minute.

Yuh. And yet despite the huge potential for micro to improve the value you get out of your units, it only pays off if you simultaneously can macro behind all that, otherwise you get beaten by the opponent who macroes properly. That's really interesting about the game I think.
Absolutely. High amount of APM and also high precision of mouse clicks. Idk if you follow the game much. IIRC the two players who are really famous for high APM right now are Reynor (Italian Zerg) and Clem (French terran). I remember watching Clem play against a zerg, he had like 12-16 marines and 2 medivacs, and there were like 8 banelings and similar amount of zerglings running at them. It was off creep but both had speed upgrades, so the lings were faster than the banes and left to their own devices, the AI of the marines would have them attack the lings because they'd be closer to them (and hence die to the banes). But the terran player just target fired all the banes and in the end only one connected with a half-dead marine, all that in the span of like 5 seconds. It's absolutely insane how fast and precise some of these players can be.

Oh yeah, and btw I found the video and the exact moment with the banelings that I mentioned, it is indeed Clem and Reynor.
The cam keeps switching between places a lot, but it begins at 22:52, it's that engagement in the centre of the map, a bit closer to the top than to bottom. There's more marines than 16 for sure, but there's also way more zerglings (probably around 15-20) and precisely 8 banelings, and he just picks them off one by one.

Well, actual micromanagement only begins at like platinum or diamond league, until then it's not very productive because it keeps you from macromanaging X3

Well I mean. I say "actual micromanagement only begins at like platinum or diamond league" but what I should have said is that it should only begin at those levels, plenty of people try it from the very getgo (including myself) without realizing how much it slows them down. SO I dunno that you would!
