On *October 23, 2017*, Boris Grits (then 48, dual Russian-Israeli citizen) forced his way into the Echo of Moscow radio station in Moscow. He pepper-sprayed a security guard, made his way to the studio, and stabbed deputy editor Tatyana Felgenhauer multiple times (neck, head, and hand). She survived after emergency surgery.
Grits told investigators he had been in "telepathic contact" with Felgenhauer for about five years (since around 2012) and that she had been persecuting and tormenting him mentally. He claimed he had never met her in person.
