The chimpout I feel is a manifestation of reactionary moves from something big in response to something bigger having been recently been beaten into submission. They have certainly played this well by playing on people's ego's to enlist their support for the war on terror and their old economical methods which have allowed us to enjoy the lavish lifestyles we have today (gas, luxuries and. health care) without having to bother to learn about all the injustices and petty daily injustices that go on in our daily lives. There is no Q, at least no candidate with a presidential level platform or vote counting that is going to even consider ending the war on drugs and ending the fact that we have two separate forms of banking system.

That is the real Q that is at play behind the democratic world's naivete about technology, in the era of Donald Trump's promotion of populist nationalism. What has happened in Silicon Valley is not inevitable. It is the product of e-democracy and its openness, and the first generation of good engineers who saw that it could be automated and empowered. Today's technology will just keep getting better and better; the world will keep getting bigger and richer and more powerful, and the scale of that power will only get bigger.
