Yo anons, it's the same OP from that Amnesia Wind thread (https://8kun.top/animu/res/119340.html). Been diving deep into Chainsaw Man lately, and man, why'd they have to kill off so many characters? Like, what was Fujimoto thinking? Power, Aki, Angel Demon, Himeno... all gone, and it hits hard. Power was such a gremlin, her and Meowy (prolly dead too, rip) brought so much chaos energy. Aki's death was just brutal, that Gun Devil fight? Oof, my heart. Angel Demon had that tragic vibe, and Himeno, damn, her sacrifice was peak "I'm not crying, you're crying" moment.
Kinda reminds me of other gut-punch deaths like Suyi from Amnesia Wind. Girl was out there surviving a messed-up world, only to get snuffed out like it was nothing. Or Cosmo from Sonic X, that plant-alien kid who went full martyr to save everyone. Funny thing, Chainsaw Man literally has a character named Cosmo, and guess what? She ded too. Irony much?
Fujimoto's just out here swinging the scythe, no mercy. Makes you wonder if he's got a grudge against happy endings. Compare that to, say, Blade from Marvel, Vampire Hunter D, Dante, or Hellboy. Those demon-vampire bois are out here collaborating with humans, saving the world, no problem. But in Chainsaw Man? Nah, devils and humans ain't teaming up for no buddy cop flick. It's all betrayal and blood.
And then there's Makima. Bet she's just gonna snap her fingers and reboot reality or something. They teased Power and Aki coming back, but nah, we're still stuck with the L. No Himeno, no Angel Demon, just pain. Maybe Fujimoto's waiting for a popularity poll to bring 'em back, lol.
P.S. Maybe if we spam enough fanart and boost their ratings, Fujimoto'll pull a Makima and revive 'em. She died and came back, so why not the others? Wishful thinking, I know.
