Just had another think about Sophia - she's givin' me some Vegeta and Shadow vibes too (and yeah, Shadow's basically built off Vegeta, eh). Vegeta's a pretty negative character at first, but his motivation's clear as day, and he changes up thanks to new mates. Same deal with Shadow - goes from a moody loner to carin' about others. Seems like Sophia’s got a similar arc goin', but bloody hell, we've got no clue why her race did what they did! Why wipe out humanity’s memory? What's drivin' 'em? And finally... The romantic line of Wataru and Sofia, I'll say it again, was thrown out. Without that, her whole story feels half-baked, and it’s proper annoyin'. #WataruXSophia still deserves a proper reveal, full stop!

Alright lads, I came here to cool off but now I can’t stop thinking. That theory hit something real, and now my neurons are cooking like bacon.

So here’s a thought to mix into the madness --- what if Sophia’s race’ a abilities aren’t just inspired by Kikuchi’s other works (especially) Vampire Hunter D, but actually connected?

I mean, both D and Sophia’s race mess with psionics, regeneration, and some weird-ass ancient biotech.

What if we’re looking at the same multiverse, just different echoes or timelines? Like D’s world is a post-post-apocalypse version after Wind of Amnesia’s story goes horribly wrong?

Or maybe Sophia's race are just early-stage Nobility trying to evolve beyond vampirism?

I'm not saying kino-tier crossover bait, but it would explain some shared themes.

Also ngl, if this series blows up too hard we’re gonna get the usual plague of Reddit-tier tourists and fanartists drawing Wataru as a catboy. But y’know what? Worth it if this noise gets loud enough that Kikuchi or whoever the IP holders are finally pull the trigger on a sequel or hard reboot.

Hey, I'm the legit OP of this thread, and I'm getting pretty frustrated with how this is playing out. I kicked off this thread to track down the Wind of Amnesia novel - Japanese raw or translation, whatever works - and maybe get some solid discussion going about the anime. I posted the same thing on Endchan too, and both threads are getting buried under the same AI-generated slop. Sure, some of the theories are neat, and those sequel pitches are honestly dope (someone really needs to ping the original author about that), but this is not what I was going for.

I tried tossing in a few jokes in my last post here and on Endchan to keep the vibe alive, but got zero response. Zilch. The threads are still live, so there's room for anyone who's genuinely into this to drop something real. Telltale sudoku'd through pure retardation. They put out a trillion "games" on the same engine, where the only gameplay was QTEs, and with generic stories sold on choice-based systems that didn't provide actual choice.

If a single one of these variables had been different, they'd probably still exist.

Any Fighting Fantasy book has a thousand times more choice than Telltale shit. And it's better written to boot.
