Translation Statuses are:
HDN, HDN Mk2 and Victory: NISA cancer.
Re;Birth 1 and V-II: Translation is alright, no worries from these ones.
Re;Birth 2: Not obviously bad at the start, but gets much worse as it goes along: in particular Neptune and Ram were screwed hard during localization. However, there is a Re;Translation made on our very own board (see above links).
Re;Birth 3: Better than the original NISA translation in Victory but still quite a lot of cancer. Main game has been retranslated, translators still required to translate DLC content.
All of the spin-offs: Varying translation quality. These range from cancer to mediocre. Recent releases have been somewhat better overall.

No Neptunia game will run on those specs, putting aside that with how it's set up you can't actually boot Windows. I mostly play Neps on Vita, except for 4GO which is on PS4, and hopefully eventually VII but I need to pirate the real voices before I can.
Also 4GO had some nice alt designs, the only one I actually dislike is Uni. The goddesses and Vert and Noire are gorgeous. It just makes me extra sad that it doesn't play all that well because it should've been an excellent game in its own right.

Alternatively could you test this works? It's a lot smaller to download but you will need to manually patch against decrypted data files, it's not a drop-in to rePatch. Also from what I can see the only alterations to the audio data file is to remove the English dub and that's just bloating the regular version even more than it needed to be, so I don't do that as much as I hate the dub. I only exempt Re;birth 3's one for being massive because it's only marginally bigger than downloading the voice DLC.

Got into Nep a few months ago, just experienced Conquest ending.
Am I wrong or does the final sentiment make no sense at all? It's been established (in RB;1 but I don't see why RB;2's universe would be different) that imoutos show up when Shares are in excess, so if Nepgear does manage to unify the world she'll end up with a dynasty and won't be world autocrat forever. Seems like an unnecessarily heavy-handed attempt to make an already unpleasant ending more depressing. Even if Conquest doesn't belong in this kind of game it's still far better written than RB;2 True End which is just flat garbage with no narrative tension whatsoever since the plot is entirely resolved when there's still most of a chapter of game left.
Overall RB;2 dealt with pretty much every gripe I had with RB;1 and was miles more fun as a result. After patching the translation that is. Here's hoping the following games are at least as good.

The gist im getting is to do the holy sword ending first, then on NG+ do the conquest ending. This all works out, right? If you actually want to do conquest ending that should come first. Holy sword ending is added in the remake as an alternate path to it that requires a lot of lily rank grinding, so you'd really want to schedule that to partly happen naturally in NG+ given that conquest ending itself requires a lot.
Also Red is one of the better support characters next to Broccoli so don't skip her. Conquest ending makes you work to see it through on new game especially Lowee.

Don't know where you heard that it was cancelled because of government pressure. There was some pressure at first iirc, but PEGI soon rated it fine and they didn't have any problems with the ESRB at all iirc. UK and Australia were nuisances, but they shouldn't have prevented the US and the (rest of) EU releases. PQube blamed the platform holder in their official statement, as did XSEED later on when they had to censor the intimacy mode for Senran. The only conclusion that can be drawn from those is Sony, and its consistent with other shit we've seen; a recent censorship policy that's been affecting a shit-ton of games. OLZ was the canary in the coal mine.

The UK issue only prevented it from being released in the UK and the VSC themselves explicitly said that it did not affect mainland Europe release at all.

DLC Characters in VII are pretty good as they actually have events and dialogue unlike the RB1 DLC characters. I'm unsure what DLC is on the steam versions of the Re;birth games since they have released new ones since the Vita release. I think the Stella's Dungeon dlc can help if that's something you want to do but I don't really see the appeal of it myself. I may be mistaken, but I think all DLC characters from Mk2 and V are already in RB2 and 3.

DLC is the one black mark I have against IF. They generally don't take it to extremes, even on mobile, but it's still something I don't like. I also say no to buying anything if you're playing it on anything Sony. That aside, pick up any free DLC. Extra characters tend to be imbalanced. If you've played Re;birth 1, Plutia is basically your first three girls. In Re;birth 3 the DLC girls don't suffer the SP droughting everyone else does, at an extreme, Cave's EXE Drive can re-gain a significant bit of SP back, and on certain enemies, even all of it. But more girls is actually nice and sometimes it adds events. Avoid straight cheating items, the games usually don't require them, they're most common in Hyperdevotion. I would argue against using them even if they are free in one or two cases.
Also I think there's a list of what DLC does on Wikia, but they should have store descriptions anyway.

The only cheaty thing arguably worth using is the Emergency Aid Plan Pack for Rebirth;3 since a lot of stuff is gated behind Stella's Dungeon, but it's still not something really necessary. And most of the extra characters are ported from other games anyway so getting them is more about whether you want to see more of a specific girl, with the exception of the crossover characters from VII who are unique.

And I specifically mean Vita limited/collector editions. You could run into cheaper prices with stuff like on 3DS, but Vita collectors have always been high-priced at retail. The only ones I ever pay full price for from Iffy's, specifically because I want to support them as much as possible and they deserve it for their (generally) fantastic offerings.
I think overall on vita LEs I saved between $200-400 overall. More if you include the fact that I got many of them late in the Vita's lifespan where the prices were grossly inflated for some LEs (such as the senrans, christ those really got jacked up).
If we're including launch editions I saved around $150-400+, and if we're including standard editions its probably nearing $1,000+.

Well, for better or worse, Nep AU doesn't have much except for once or twice where girls will be under-leveled. But that's only because it's a button masher most of the time. Blanc vs. Zombies has more girls so more to level up but not at the extreme of say Estival Versus.
As for the mainline games there's a lot unexplained in them that help avoid the grind, but even then there's the plans to cut the difficulty in all 3, and RB3 has that one DLC one that I assume PC users get free? But it just makes the game boring to one-hit everything I hate NG+.

Anyways the jp voices for neps are literal perfection in every aspect. I'm someone who likes to give dubs a fair chance and can enjoy good ones but the nep one is not only one of the worst, but I think its almost impossible to cast a dub that comes even close to the nep subs (for the games, not watched the anime)
In general I think its very difficult for female VAs in the west to match the cuteness and higher pitches without sounding cringy, trying too hard (or too little for that matter) or just flat out not having the skill to match period
For males I feel its easier and parity is often far closer in dubs vs subs though

It was a guy from THQ Nordic, even though it went along nicely despite some spam, and yes, you are correct regarding the response from the media. IFI is aware of these threads considering that several members of these threads met them alongside Tsunako and Mizuno back at AX2017, but when you compare the average amount of UIDs in these threads to the over 30k members of /r/gamindustri/, then yeah, they would pick the larger fanbase. Also the head mod of that subreddit apparently asked them to do it, which may also explain why it's happening in the first place.

I'm not that excited for an OVA since it'll likely mean less stupid fun and more boring story. The anime was at its best when it was about the SoL, the eggplant Arfoire fight, and its take on the true ending of Re;birth 3. The actual Arfoire and Rei parts were bad. I'm also burnt out on the games as of late since I've been playing other things, and SNRPG isn't that enticing that I'll play it right away.
Also 8/v/ is slow enough that you don't often have to necrobump even for slow threads so they often are decent signal-to-noise.

I have been playing the game and it's alright, but the game feels rushed and incomplete, like how the walking and dashing animations look terrible. The controls also feel rather stiff.The combat is either a drag or really quick depending on if you use the enemy's weakness. Luckily it has a speed up button. The story is interesting and the main reason to play it. Not the worst spin-off, but not the best either.

It was somewhat rushed, the AMA that Artisan did on Leddit which was suggested to IFI back in October by a former mod of that subreddit had the game's director when asked note that the game's development started in September 2017 and they had to cut out several features and monsters before the Japanese version's release. But they're happy that they got to work with Idea Factory and Compile Heart on the game and would love to work with them for future titles.
