I can tell you from personal experience being on the inside of the educational system that it IS on purpose. Even in courses to be a teacher, you'll hear leftist propaganda like "intelligence is fluid" (the idea that you can take a literal retard, and if you just believe in them, they can perform at the level of an honor student), and tons of teachers are burn outs who teach students to take standardized tests rather than teach the curriculum. The curriculum itself constantly lowers standards. In an 8th grade AP English course I observed, students weren't reading Shakespeare, greek myth, or other authors of note. They were reading no name black, female authors whose writing was somewhere on a 4th or 5th grade level. My favorite though, was how my state nuked its special ed department, fired all the special ed teachers, put all the tards with the normal kids, and then lowered the standards for the tests when the tards started bringing down the average because federal funding for schools is pulled if the average is too low.

It's honestly all speculation at this point. Matt and Pat were not friends initially, just acquaintances who knew each other through Woolie. Matt originally pitched the show idea to Woolie who wasn't really interested, so he moved on to Pat. The name was probably ironic at first, but their juxtaposition (though they were clearly trying to play exaggerated characachers of themselves at first) provided good chemistry and their videos got popular, prompting Machinima, who was trying extremely hard to poach talent at the time, to pick them up. During the course of working together Matt and Pat became actual friends. Woolie eventually got involved too.and they broke with Machinima because the contract was shit (and their exposing that kind of led to Machinima massively downscaling). Liam, who was a work friend of Matt and Woolie when they worked for QA eventually got brought in too. If I were to guess when things started to go really long it was when Liam left. Details are scant, but it's clear Liam hated Pat. Pat is an abrasive asshole (one I happen to like, but it's true) and there's rumors Liam may have originally liked Paige, but I have no proof of that since it's just hearsay. Anyway, it basically seems like Liam told Matt it was him or Pat and while I think Matt personally preferred Liam and liked him more, Pat was more liked by the brand and community so what happened happened. Matt probably started to resent Pat at this point, likely blaming his attitude for Liam leaving. Woolie was friends with Pat before he knew Matt, so he always knew what kind of person he was and accepted him, so in disputes Woolie tended to side with Pat. I think Matt tried to make it work for a while after Liam left, but it was clear as the videos went on Matt became more and more disinterested and seemed to like Pat less and less. This was compounded by Pat becoming rather successful with his side streaming project, which meant he was no longer reliant on Matt's channel to live and not go back to retail hell.
I think eventually Matt just got tired, he disliked working with Pat and I think probably some minor thing probably eventually led to them saying "Let's pull the plug." It was a sadly human thing to watch in real time, but it basically seems like the friends split in the middle, with Pat and Woolie on one side with Matt and Liam on the other. Matt removing Woolie's stuff from his recommended pages kind of solidifies this. Matt and Liam are also friends with much more cancerous SJW type people like Mother's Basement (and Matt's wife is basically a thot), while Pat and Paige (and by association Woolie since he always has Pat's back) are much more shitlord-y. So that probably contributed to things too.

Matt and Liam were always more of the passive types that didn't understand a lot of what they were talking about or playing but relied on their emotions to get through things. Don't use -g 9999, it's fucking terrible and fucks over seeking. Use something sane like -g 120 instead. Usually anything from 2 to 5 times the framerate is good, 120 being a safe value to use. -speed 0 might also be overkill. Unless you're making the webms for the webm thread and going for maximum quality the difference between -speed 0 and -speed 1 is minor visually and large in the encoding time. Even with 2 pass the bitrate isn't exact. For those cases where it just overshoots the filesize limit re-encode the audio with a slightly lower bitrate. There's a why to for CBR by messing around with -minrate and -maxrate, but I don't have experience with that mode.

using youtubedl and webm for retards, you can download and webm a ~2-3 minute video file for posting in like 5-10 minutes.
literally copypaste the link which gives you a downloaded video and then feed the output into webm for retards. the rest of the time is just fiddling with the settings.
