Avengers of Justice, published in 1991 from Better Games is done. Interesting Supers RPG that focuses on whether or not your hero/villain can maintain readership of your "comic" in game. This came as a folio with three books inside: "Nice Guys Finish Last, Villains Finish First, and Designing Comic Book Scenarios. The folio itself serves as the GM Screen.
A little obscure to be sure, but seems interesting. Thanks to Scurvy for the collation/bookmarks, and to BCM for another awesome rare one for scanning! I know this was a funky one to work with.

I’m looking for "The Doomsday War", the 8th and final adventure in the Daring Tales of the Space Lanes series for Savage Worlds.
I know this adventure is included in the 2nd black and white compendium that can be found in both the /SaWo and /TripleAce troves, but what I’m looking for is actually the original full color separate file that was available for purchase before the release of the compendium. That separate file isn’t for sale anymore, so my only hope of getting it is if I can find someone who bought it back then, still has it in their collection and might be willing to share it. I know it’s a long shot, but I’m still hopeful someone will step up eventually. This has become my personal holy grail when it comes to collecting PDFs.

Ok, thanks to BCM, I got the Tekumel Northwest Frontier Map set that goes with the Gazetteer that I finished the other day. I was able to restore the 6 pages of 11x17 maps that were a part of the set, and I also attempted a manual paste of those 6 maps into one large map, ala the Greyhawk project.
It turned out pretty good, keeping in mind that these maps are hex, and really difficult to do, but like I said, it went pretty well. There are a few minor issues here and there throughout the large map, but nothing major.
Anyway, you can get it at the Castle of Carse.

Far more expensive games have been purchased and scanned, no reason this one couldn't be as well.
I used to have it (if i still did, Carse would have had it to scan by now). It's far more legendary to possess than to actually play. The mechanics aren't great and the book itself isn't much. Still... it's a rare rpg of a cult film. Those are the reasons to have it archived.

Well, I worked on a small project with him (Sea Elves for Elfquest), and we did it that I did the raw scans and he cleaned them up and made a proper PDF. According to him the scans I did were quite ok.
Also, there is no printing close to the binding of the book, since the layout has quite large margins on the sides, meaning you wouldn't need to dissasemble the book for scanning. So I could do it and then send Carse the raw scans, like we did last time if he is ok with it.

Welp, that new scanner I got is not really working out like I had hoped. I am trying to work with tech support to find out why it's straightening scripts don't work like they should. But all I got was: "make sure the page you are scanning isn't shaped like a trapezoid" or "make sure the surface is flat" and other horseshit like I had not ever thought of that before.
So I am going to have to up my game and get a real, honest-to-goodness, professional cradle book scanner. And those are not exactly cheap. So I thought I would try the gofundme route. I am not normally one to ask for assistance, but I figured this would be the quickest route. You would have pulled your hair out. Be glad you didn't order it. Tech support was not helpful at all, chalking it up to me not knowing how to have a page flat. Then they tell me that in order to have a flat page, I need to use a flatbed scanner. No joke. I got it because of it's expanded scan area, and supposed ability to flatten curves. It works maybe 5-10% of the time, and is really really slow what with the turning of the page, trying to get the middle of the book lined up right, etc. I tried a pane of glass, that improved the results about 15-20%, but slowed me way down as I have to remove that, then flip the page, and so on.
Plus the lighting can be too high, which gives the appearance of a camera photo rather than a scan. And we know how awesome cam scans can be.
All in all, terribly disappointed.

Greg Gillespie has released his latest Megadungeon, Highfell. A center for high wizardry long fallen into ruin.
