You see an info-graph get thrown up on /pol/, you believe everything it says. You don't think about what you're being fed, you don't look at it as data on the wall, you don't check your damn sources. You become no different than the people that sit on Facebook or Reddit or wherever else and eat up everything they see, just because it has a person's face on it. You stop writing on the wall and start pretending the wall is all there is. You descend from the world above, sit yourself on the cave wall, and watch the shadows playing in the firelight, until one day you start to forget that there was anything more to the world than shadows. Don't get me wrong, you still realize the world exists - but it becomes intangible.
Human lives, we are generally taught, have value. But the thing that gives them value is reality. You go out into the world, and you'll see people do both good things and terrible things. Some people are dumb, others are simply ignorant; yet some are clever, and do amazing things with that cleverness. Man, once primitive apes with rocks, has evolved to hold the airplane, the radio, the internet. When you throw yourself in front of the shadows, it's not that these thoughts are lost - but all you see is fragmentary reminders, until eventually, the new information overwhelms the old. The internet lets you see what you want to see - and people being terrible is far more entertaining. So your perception is warped until all you see is numbers and horrors, shaped to the perfect misanthropy.

Feels like you're going against the very thing you were against earlier this year. What makes our board worth sticking around for is the slow pace, quality posts, and long lived system specific threads. That's all sorta died over the last couple years, and now due to our popularity, we have a bored(board) cross poster who appears to attack any board that's more populated, and attempts to derail any discussions. I'd rather we were never on the top board list, and have our old quality over being fast and furios with toxic memes and bullshit fake dialogue. Our numbers can't stop an bot attack every time. First time, it was basically just three anons who saved a few threads. I wasn't even aware there was a second attack, as I've stopped keeping a tab opened since the glow niggers started settling in. Thanks again to unrelated shooters who dropped in to give us a plug before doing their thing.

Well, I'll be damned. Went to /sudo/ to see if there was any word on the dead image thing, because it turns out it wasn't a second rollback, but something sitewide that fucked up a bunch of boards. Don't worry, I didn't namedrop /tg/. But in a thread, someone mentioned that if you can repost the same exact image that got wiped in another place on the board, it might restore the dead image on the other thread. Sure enough, it did! You just have to repost the same image that was used before, and then shift+f5 refresh to make it appear correctly.
At the very least, we can unfuck the various broken OPs, but for stuff like the character art and scenery threads, a fresh start would be the better option.

Earlier this year, we didn't have most of our catalog scraped clean of images. I'm not demanding that /tg/ shifts into low effort shitposting for the sake of speed, but if anyone wants to fix things and refresh the catalog, then we'd need an active effort to make new threads and post enough to naturally cycle out the old with functional replacements, and hopefully encourage more of that healthy quality instead of hemorrhaging users every time things break.
