Mite b cool.

Personally, I wish I could convince Alfa to have Russ' revenge march venture through the realm of the Nice Daemonettes, which turns everything Shojo Animu so we can get Warped Holo-Russ for an episode…

The problems in order of difficulty, however, are getting a voice actress who can both do a convincing Holo WHILE keeping Zoran's foul-mouthed inflection, and finding an artist willing to redraw all the featured characters as anime girls…

"The Beast" is the name collectively used by six stupidly large, stupidly smart "prime orks". At one point some space marines came across a what they though was a massive statue of one in a plaza. Then the damned thing turned to look at them. That's how big they were.

While they might be dead, in theory any ork that gets big, green and killy enough could rise to that level. It also bears noting that "The Beast" is a rough translation of their orkish name: "Mag Uruk Thraka"

I though it was very on point, clearly the best segment of the episode. If I had to portray Cegorach that's probably how I would, the massively disturbing clown laughing at it's own jokes and wordplay only him finds funny in the circumstances with with a terrible laugh and sounds of laughter coming from nowhere (not the bazinga meme but hey, can't be perfect), with people waiting in sheer terror of what it's gonna do next.

And the music is really fitting too.

That's one thing I will give to TTS writers they do disturbing very, very well (better than the black library), be it Tzeentch, fucking Lucius or now Cegorach.

>disturbing

This is true. I really hope they bring that sense of disquiet to the fore with the Deceiver and Void Dragon. I have a nasty suspicion that one or the other has their metal hand in the Golden Throne's workings, going by the former's appearance in the newest intro and its favorite color. I expect the Jackal God to be like a more mature (if sardonic) and even crueler Tzeentch, while the Dragon is like a dark mirror of the Emperor.

Better to train and sanction every psyker you find, as eventually, especially with pylons breaking all over, most everyone will be warp attuned.

For the fun of it?

Games Workshop has run into this same problem countless times. How do you not destroy your world and everything in it if evil wins over good? How do you make your antagonists maintain a threat if they keep losing? Easy! Make it so the outcomes don't actually matter!

There's an argument to be made for 'But it'll make a more interesting narrative', except it relies on good game balance and fucks up your business since you have to produce models based off the game state. Doesn't make a lot of sense to sell models for a faction/chapter/character that got killed.

The very first one? Looks like a quasi Pangea map Alfa made up. Second one (when all the Primarchs are being shown) is this map laying out the regions.

People have been complaining about Ork lore (and lack of representation of) and the lower quality of the episode (in terms of jokes, it's a really important episode) more then anything.

I don't care about Dominique honestly, despite some funny jokes from him, I just mostly shared the sentiment of Fyodor for him to shut up. Intentionally annoying is still annoying. Kinda gonna miss Waffle Master but I can tell his horse was about to get flogged with the SAAAAAAAAAAS stuff. Same with Genestealer lady.

The Ironside Clans of Albia formed the original bulk of the recruits for the Death Guard, Night Lords, and Iron Hands.

The nobility of the Achaemenid Empire provided the recruits for the Thousand Sons.

Xeric warriors of the Asiatic Dustfields provided the recruits for the Raven Guard.

The maglev clans of Panpocro, the war families of the Saragon Enclave, the Midafrik Hive Oligarchy and the anthropophagic tribes of the Caucasus Wastes provided the recruits for the Ultramarines.

The hunter clans of the Jutrigan Bowl and the Samsatian sub-plate slums provided the recruits for the Black Legion, but also hive-gangers from Cthonia as it was close enough to Terra even with the warp storms.

Imperial fists recruited from everywhere on the planet.

The gun-tribes of the Auro Plateau of Sek-Amrak provided the recruits for the Iron Warriors.

The nobles of the various Europa dynasties provided the recruits for the Emperor's Children.

All the psychos recruits were put in the World Eaters.

The Word-Bearers were the ones tasked with diplomacy, spreading the imperial truth and information control.

It's unknown where the three special legions (WolfWolfWolf, Alpha, Salamanders) found their recruits as they were largely kept isolated from the other legions, the general population and of the records.

But what about the Dark Angel THE FIRST LEGION. THE MOST LOYAL LEGION.

Well as the jewish themed legion one can assume they're full of shit and were probably not even made in the first founding.

Not going to lie, I would actually love to see a miniseries where they animate actual tabletop battles in this way, sort of like how they did the Yugioh Games a few times. I think a lot of fun could be had with that format, of course as long as the battle itself was entertaining. Would also give him a chance to animate characters we wouldn't otherwise see, such as Tyrannids or Necros.

As for the episode itself I think it was OK, I really was hoping Fyodor would be dying by the end of the warp adventure since I didn't like his character but I guess he's now being set up to be the opposite of the emperor in regards to how he wants to guide humanity judging by Emp's speech at the start about wanting to recover his own humanity.

The Tau had the capacity to be good, had they been presented right off the bat as an Orwellian false utopia kept in line via brainwashing. Didn't help that Fire Warrior was one of the only 40k vidya of the early 2000's, and as such was the gateway to some new players. Not to mention that Tau and to a lesser extent Eldar have the reputation as being broken on the tabletop. Tau moreso because of Markerlight shenanigans. There's some jokes here and there, but outside of introducing Lady Malas (however you spell her name) and the Deceiver, there's nothing of substance. Though it's nice to see some of the Dark Eldar Stuff.

I think the real sting is that we've waited SO LONG for these episodes (7 months since the Stuff with Vect and Eldrad which was actually pretty good, or a year since the last episode proper). Only to get a tabletop game, that while neat didn't have many jokes or much to discuss. Then THAT gets followed up with a lack luster episode that's more return to form but still not great. At least it's over, hope next months episode is better. And now that I've reminded myself of it TTS Special 5 was supposed to be a part of this episode and I think if you pause Episode 26 at where they encounter the Dark Eldar army then watch the special it becomes a better episode.

As someone who was using the series to get a better understanding of 40K lore the series has become sort of unhelpful and impossibly dense for me since it shifted away from actually explaining things to layering on in-jokes. Its been a real disappointment to say the least because even though I'm still watching I understand less and less with every episode and no effort is really being made to convey to any outside party who any of these people are or why they matter. Guess it just isn't being made for my portion of the audience at this point and I should probably just stop watching it.

>But weren't the Nids specifically going around the Outsider's Dyson Sphere?

Well yeah, because there is nothing to eat there...

How do they know there is nothing to eat there without going though is another story.

It's thought to be related because:

-the nids come from where he's supposed to be.

-the C'tans and Necrons aren't friends quite the opposite. To the 'Crons that want to wipe out all life having a foe like the 'Nids that turn every thing living into a weapon is the worst.

-It's suspiciously similar to the Old ones playbook, with the Orks being what succeeded in stopping the 'Crons the first time around.

-The 'Nids eating every sentient being and being pretty much an "anti-warp" weapon, but also the fact that nids can't sustain life for long necessarily means that the last C'tan are the logical winner of 40k, as they get a galaxy picked clean of everything else and they can enjoy going back to eat stars in peace.

Basically the 'nids could be a weapon made by the Outsider to just fuck everyone up, at the very least send the necrons back to sleep and finally "win" the war by destroying everything living that is capable of connecting to the immaterium.

>Did you know that the Romans had their sons fuck a girl once they came of age for the experience?

I heard that practice was present in France all the way up to the late 19th century or so in upper-class families. You basically paid one of the maids some extra so the boy could get his first "experiences" and not embarrass himself during his first time (bear in mind that France, at least theoretically, was very much "No sex b4 marriage" back then. Big fucking emphasis on "theoretically".)

As for 40k - it really would not be overly surprising if some random planetary governess kept herself some underage boy to lewd. Something thatalike was explicitely mentioned during Ian Watson's Inquisition Wars Trilogy (except here it was some fat old fuck who kept himself some catamites and Inquisition Wars is fetish fuel anyway). Not to speak of whatever the fucking Dark Eldar might come up with.

Magnus is reverting to form and fucking everything up, though this time it’s the Emperor that’s most likely pulling the strings instead of Tzeentch. Think about it, Magnus tries to get at some of Vulkan’s artifacts, ends up discovering two Primarchs and inadvertently leads them back to Terra.

>will we see a heart-warming family reunion between Magnus and Leman Russ?

I mean, imagine Catachan throwing out Schwarzenegger style one liners. Hell, they’re halfway there already, their greatest hero is a Rambo reference and one of their other named characters is a reference to Jesse Ventura from Predator.

The whole series is more focused on Emps and by extension the Primarchs, so I can forgive the series focusing more on them. I also think Alfabus introduced too many plot points

>We still don't know what Cypher is up to

>The Black Crusade that Lucius was invited to still hsn't dropped.

>We havn't seen Abaddon, even though he's been hinted at.

If the series is going in the direction where it's going to incorporate bits and pieces of Gathering Storm, then it might be moving towards the birth of Ynnead, the fall of Cadia, and the rebirth of Guiliman

Obviously sans Wrath of Magnus.

Just re watched the section. He definitely won round 2 because Emps just threw a shitfit. He was right about Chaos in a number of ways:

>Warp entities are labeled daemons as a way to contextualize them as evil

>All four chaos gods should be viewed as parts of a whole greater being, the Warp itself which can be considered a singular entity that had existed since the first spark of sentience

>The chaos gods also foster positive emotions alongside the negative, even if the former is drowned by the latter

>Purging the Warp would leave humanity as a bunch of brainless automatons.

However at the same time Uriah is way too fucking optimistic about just what the Warp is currently. He makes a great case for Chaos Undivided, and of course everything of him poking the Imperium is fair, and his parts about the Emps end game being a thoughtless cattle state can be considered an entirely valid observation of the way he's going in TTS and the direction of the canon.

Oh yeah, literally no one would argue against that, but to 'stabilize' the warp you would need to stabilize the universe which is pretty much an impossible task. You're real options as far as Humanity is considered is to either find a way to sever humanities ties to the warp which is sort of a bad thing when you take a look at how that messes with Blanks and nulls who have no or weakened connections to the realm of souls, or just pull a Uriah, go to Chaos and try and create your own little smoothed over section of Undivided.

Neither option really is that appealing, and Uriah really is hopelessly naieve and just dodged the Bloodletter question is a great example that he probably just ignores a lot o the terrible everyday shit Chaos does the same way any member of the Ecclisiarchy would ignore the every day crimes of the Imperium because both know that THEY are right.

Honestly I think the only real excuse for them is that they just have so many fucking bodies to dispose of on a regular basis in one way or another they just need something to do with them other than incinerate\feed them to the lower class. Makes me think of a minor line in The Man in the High Castle where after purging lesser nations they just started using body parts from the mountains of corpses for practical purposes, like using the joint of a big toe for a zippo lighter mechanism.

It cannot be argued that the foundation of his argument, that the Warp and its entities are reflections of the living beings in the universe. It is also not arguable that a theoretical destruction of this realm would result in the destruction of what is essentially the human soul as we know it.

Where Uriah is meeting a stumbling block is the thought that the gods of chaos, which are essentially metastasized tumors on the various 'humors' that do make up a human soul. So yes, while they can be argued that the GODS are humanities hopes and ideals the same applies to Daemons, but the chaos gods themselves are openly malevolent and can be considered to be forces of Stagnation with their forever-war with eachother and seeking to throw everything into unchecked pandemonium.

This is where I think Uriah gets points for going Chaos Undivided, but ultimately his solution isn't necessarily the greatest, maybe you c an have a great PR campaign and generate some lesser Daemons that could be considered more positive in nature, but Uriah is ultimately just a hopeless optimist who is most likely going to be devoured by Chaos at some point through either ruinous powers or another Chaos cult.

He still won that debate with the Emps though, hands down. But that's just what happens when one is trying to argue and the other party is just answering everything with Fuk-U instead of refuting points which sort of makes this difficult to judge since he was just going mostly uninterrupted and designated 'right' without any in video counterpoints other than Bloodletters being brought up.

Yes, Khorne does represent bravery, but ask anyone what they think of him and the first thing that comes to their mind is his skull throne and his endless conquest of rage. Uraih is hoping to appeal to the little good that the chaos gods do offer while outright ignoring the major detriments they pose to humanity. Stagnation and rot for Nurgle, Subversion for Tzeech, Etc. He is essentially that poop lady from Hoarders that when asked why she wants one last high with her own feces, she tells everyone to shut up and mind their own business because it makes her feel good.

Isn't that why most Nurgle worshipers see their patron deity as a loving Grandfather that has freed them from the pain of existence, and seek to spread his mercy to everyone else in the world, despite being Nurgle's "mercy" being an existence of being infected with the same plagues you suffered from in life, only now you don't care because for all intents and purposes, you are already dead.

I can see Khorne being appealing to some honorable warriors (Wulfric, though he was undivided, as well as some depictions of Kharn) Tzeentch only really has two kinds of followers, manipulative dicks (Egrimm von Horstman, Viltitch) and "You think you're working agains't me but you're really playing into my master plan!" The (original) prologue states it's probably an heretical text or something, when himself says it's something (which he write in third person as precaution true-name invocation), which might be required to be read by inquisition higher ups. All the book style makes it hard to figure out what it is but I think we're supposed to think it's sort of mandatory? Like if they find it on his corpse they will know what he was up too (which makes sense since inquisitors act alone and under very loose supervision of other inquisitors). It's clearly not a report however more like a will/private journal.

What exactly do you think people write in their private journals if not their weird fantasies?

Also the setup always was that it was a very old and weird record of a clear renegade, probably of one of the first inquisitors or at least much closer to 30k than 40k.

I guess you could also try and say Karstodes was another candidate for straight man, but he’s just comedically dense. And actually not that funny, actual Kars gets more laughs out of me from playing air guitar with that woman’s leg than I’ve ever laughed at his custodian counterpart

It's great but you missed the two webms I wanted but am too shit at ffmpeg to make. The DIIIIIISSAAAAAPOOOOINTMENT one and the skeleton shriek in the beginning of episode 26 part 2, the part when Dorn says his creation might have involved shit.
