Soundwise, apart from the shit-tier compression it's rather alright. It's all audible and clear.
Could use improvement:
I don't think you could quite catch the accent. You said the "feckin' "s and "yer"s, but the rest of the dialogue didn't seem to fit. Accents are tricky business, so sometimes you're probably better off just going with normal speech. You've got a perfect american accent, though, guessing from the other audio.
As for how you read it: the tone of moralizing/complaining is perfect, for the most part. It was missing a few moment of emphasis, though, which sometimes makes it go into a "spritited monotone". There's emotion, but it's all in a fairly stale consistent volume. Add a small growl or deepening of the voice to break it up.
Still, this is only my own opinion. You do you, I'm just a faggot on the internet.
Alright, now for another thing for people to try, maybe two people. I did a reading myself, and while I think I did a okay enough Otakon, I figure I have too much bitch in me to pull off Snake's voice.
I'd love to see what you people can do or at least try.

I really, really hated the spelling errors in that image, but it was so well written otherwise. I feel like it fit perfectly in Metal Gear's way of talking, in that it's kind of batshit at face value with some solid undercurrents of philosophy.
And now, another thing to read, because this place feels like the only place you can do this for some random readings for the purpose of fun. It's a ghoul reading this, raspy voice recommended but not required.

Wow, that was perfect. The voice and tone is exactly what I was hoping to hear. Just one suggestion, though, it was really obvious you were recording line by line, but when you're doing a long text like this you're better off cutting out the flubbings of any line from a full recording than doing them one by one. Sometimes the sound of the record key is heard or there's a slight change in how the last sentence ended and the next one begins that you can easily tell.
(I suspect that you did it here because ghoul voices are fucking hell on the throat, though.)
That way of speaking really took me back to how talking heads in fallout 1 and 2 spoke, though, so it's actually a boon in this recording.

Ok, you need to fix a couple of things if you want that to start sounding good. First off, take a little distance from your microphone, you're blasting air into it whenever you make a plosive noise. If you're using a headset (and i'm almost certain that you are) just tilt it up a tiny bit, so it's not right in front of your mouth.
Second: your mic is kind of awful, but you can fix it at least a little in Audacity if you apply noise reduction. Just record a bit of nothing, select it, and then go into "effects" and find "noise reduction". Once there, select "get noise profile". It'll isolate the buzzing sound and remove it to the best of its ability. Your quality is still going to be a bit static-y, but no buzz goes a long way.
Third, the performance itself: your accent is a little thick, but that isn't a dealbreaker by any means. What is kind of a problem is the flow of the sentences. You need to add a little more noise for some words, right now your sentences kind of flow together into a hard to follow mess.
But hey, sucking at something is the first step to being kinda good at something. Keep it up.
