Not outside of opening weekend or major holidays where their parks are packed regardless they won't be. They'd have to have not ruined it for this to be the case.

Do you know how incredibly easy it would be to make a Star wars theme park? The rides are secondary to just having the locations there. Build the cantine for people to get drinks in and include a few anamatronic aliens in the corner. Build the Falcon's cockpit for people to see. You could even just build the Falcon like Bandai did the Gundam in Japan. Have it blow smoke and the ramp go up and down for people to watch twice a night. Maybe make some storm troopers run up it and a guy dressed as Chewbacca pretend to shoot a few.

Rides could just be 3D at this point. 3D screen or VR headset and moving chairs and you pack guests in to a giant cinema. Get some pleb CGI artists to redo the start of episode 3, the trench run and maybe the start of episode 7 and you've got a damn ride lasting a few minutes hitting all the high notes. Every 6-12 months cycle one out for another, like the return of the jedi speeder chase.

You don't need actual rides to sit inside a space ship. We have the tech to go way beyond that now and give a more authentic experience. They can even make the VR helmets be X wing pilot helmets.

I would say the park will fail but who's going to Disneyland but pedos and soy boys at this point? Disney have fucked everything people love so hard they have nothing left.

You underestimate the power of the soy side of the force. Harry Potter World, the only equivalent to this that I can think of within the Disney parks, is still one of their most popular attractions and pulls huge crowds every day.

I'm pretty sure that's almost exactly what they did. I've been following the news for Galaxy's Edge, and I think there's maybe one ride. It's some kind of Millennium Falcon thing. The whole park is mostly shops and different interactive experiences. The only things that look interesting to me are building a lightsaber (for $200 of course), and the SW-themed food and drinks.

The Phase I clone helmet is slim and elegant. It has a decorative yet minimalist crest, which suits their somewhat contradictory nature - they serve an aged and unmilitarized Republic fond of art-deco-ish designs, yet are a vast army of utterly uniform and disciplined soldiers.

The stormtrooper helmet is bulkier than the clone designs it's based on. Rather than elegant, and having done away with the Mandalorian T-visor heritage in favour of a distinct Imperial appearance of its own, it's clearly shaped for intimidation and looks as deadly and unforgiving as the man wearing it and the Empire he serves.

The Phase II design, with how it sacrifices the elegance and decoration of the Phase I for similar features as the stormtrooper helmet, reflects a Republic becoming increasingly accustomed to the war as it waged on, a familiarity that sped the Imperialization on its way.

There's this pervasive belief that RO is somehow on par with the OT, or at the very least it's better than the prequels and sequels. I think it's an example of how people are willing to love completely broken, poorly-written, poorly-paced films as long as they have a good aesthetic.

RO had some great locations, a few good character designs, and some cool new 'Troopers like the Deathtroopers or Shoretroopers. i forgot to mention that the screenwriters were all good goys, after all that one faggot made the stupid tweet. let's also not forget that the reshoots actually made the film better, the trailers looked like some hot shit and thankfully the stupid parts were all cut out. granted you can still feel the jumbled editing and subplots that end up going nowhere, but the final cut is more comprehensive than a suicide run at an at-at.

i think we can all agree that shit like the "it's a real war movie hurr" was just part of the hype. the movie felt like playing a level in battlefront more than a hard war flick, and remember that it had to be toned down because they didn't approve of it initially. the cgi characters were poor quality, but not in poor taste. granted, had tarkin just stayed facing the window and not giving krennic face-to-face conversation i think it would have sold him a lot better. i saw someone do a fan edit of leia to look more legit and like i said, just lesser quality is all. frankly i prefer the attempt of producing carrie fisher exactly as she was rather than have some stand-in who looks nothing like her.
