In SL it's not even so much that, it's the fact that the /d/ group has to serve as a catchall for literally ALL sexual content in the chan community: the variety found on /d/ (the board), plus all the things that'd go on /h/ and /e/ and wherever else, plus things that aren't even allowed on any of those boards (bestiality, furries, guro, scat). So while /d/-the-board runs the gamut from "nearly vanilla soft bondage" to "cockvore absorption weight gain", /d/-the-group has to cover everything from "not even vanilla sex, just outfits that are too sexy to wear around /vg/" all the way to "furry-on-feral hard vore with dismemberment and hyper scat disposal". /d/ has a few more fundamental problems than you guys give it credit for. These problems are just, an inherent part of the group and nearly impossible to fix at all.

1. By virtue of being a 4chan group, most of the people are either, shy wallflowers, or ebin meme meisters. This usually means that nobody in the room is capable of expressing themselves in a meaningful way. Wall flowers usually will wait till someone messages them first, even if they'd really like to do something they are too afraid to approach or even really talk "out of turn" they often find it difficult to join open conversations and want to "Wait for the right point to join." Meme meisters on the other hand, are outwardly very social they will talk to people and greet people and often message people, but they are incapable of actually saying what they want to do. Their hope is that by getting enough attention on themselves, someone will say oh you seem cool, lets do something, but the issue exists where most end up thinking they are just retarded and not on /d/ to ever do anything, so nobody bothers to ask.

2. The legitimate fear of rejection. This is a bit bigger of a problem then merely "the fear of rejection." There is legitimate reason to be concerned about being rejected. Members have participated in ageplay on /d/ only and been reported by someone on /d/ and ended up banned. People have immediately heard someone's fetish and gone directly to /8chan/ to post about how X person loves shit or Y person loves pee pee. Two people have fucked on /d/ and instantly threads have gone up about the two retards with shit avatars fucking on /d/. This is an actual thing that actually happens, there is a legitimate reason to be concerned when you open yourself up to this group, because people in the group are untrustworthy.

3. The mods of the group want to fuck people in the group. This is the ultimate form of obvious corruption and favoritism, on the most extreme levels. There is no greater corruption of someone with authority then when they want to fuck some of the people they have authority over. It's nearly impossible to moderate someone you want to fuck fairly. For example; When Kiwi randomly banned a member for calling them a big gay, Gwigz felt personally attacked that someone said they had to talk to kiwi and rectify the situation. Gwigz was so incapable of reprimanding kiwi that instead of talking to them, he literally said "it's everyone else who is wrong" and refused to host the group anymore. Ssen's issue are usually lighter "X person is being a fag" "Y person is talking about politics" but ssen often had not react in any way shape or form even when action is obviously necessary. Mostly because Ssen was fucking one of the parties involved.

For more proof of this effect, Ask anyone whose ever been an mmo guild what happens when the guild leader gets a girlfriend.

4.The normalization of 1-3. This has been happening for so long that entire cliques have formed around these. The wall flowers are all chatting in IM, the ebin meme meisters have their own fucking discord, Ssen had their own little group of friends and basically didn't speak to anyone else. Very little lewding ever happened on /d/ because people were afraid it'd instantly be posted, so what lewd shit does happen due to meetup on /d/ end up taking place off /d/ anyway. The moderater ship are unrespected/basically regular users because they refuse to mod, thus people break the very few rules theyre are regularly with impunity. Nobody wants to make any events or do anything exciting as a group because it'll just be mocked. Theres a very REAL air of "Why bother" amoung /d/ users. Gwigz defended his shitty choices and his shitty build by saying "Why bother, whatever I let you build will suck equally bad" and upon hearing this many vocal /d/ members were like "Well hes right, we just shouldn't even try to make something fun."

All this has led to the

Ostracization of people who want to do fucking ANYTHING.

Everyone here will instinctively think "oh yeah this applied to me" once they read this last bit here, but you here reading this, are probably a part of the problem, you've joined the cycle of "lets do nothing at all since we'll fail if we try and make it better."

Honestly, at this point I think we've gone full circle. A lot of people on SL probably have a mix of abandonment issues or rejection issues. Thing is, our head admin barely actually involves themselves with members of the group. When they visit the sim, they don't do much besides idle, probably tabbed out chatting on Discord or something, then give a bad impression of themselves in the only other public domain people look in at. It aint great for faith building as a leader if you privatise yourself and only ever chat to your executives and confidants.
