While I'm at it I might as well address the whole "they're the same thing you guys" argument before I go to work. They used to be similar, but not the same. There was a different attitude around each sim. A different clique to join. One was calmer, more peaceful, and had tits. The other was a chaotic maelstrom where you could be your Sunday worst and get away with it. Then slowly people from the chaotic side of things started contaminating the relatively calmer waters of /d/, changing it. There was a movement to fight back against it, since /d/ always had a different sense of humor than VG, but they clearly lost that war. D parties were fun because they centered around everyone enjoying themselves without expense to others, while VG parties usually involved celebrating something that happened to someone else, like a lynching or a popularity contest. During my time there I only saw a small handful of constructive, fun events. The rest was just a circle jerk of people mocking someone else. They aren't the same. That's one reason why people are angry right now.

The fact Is, vg gets away with so much crap because "don't be a dick" is too subjective to be enforced. Why hasn't anything been done about lee? Why do they allow intentionally bad avatars in the sim? It's favoritism. As far as I'm aware, ssen and roxy are the only two admins. That's a problem. There needs to be less biased authority figures. There needs to be a rule turning down the bants as well. It's fine at VG but this isn't VG and it upsets people and makes them uncomfortable. There also needs to be a better way of reporting things. People are too afraid of being socially ostracized than solving their problems. I'm not sure how to fix that one other than having more relatable and friendly higher ups.
