been watching a bunch of serial killer documentaries, and i've learned that your chances of getting way with it are highest if no one knows there's a serial killer on the loose. in other words, don't make it look like your murders are related. don't target people you know, use a different murder weapon each time, and don't kill them all in the same place. if you can, try killing people in different states-.
this is awfully tough for the average serial killer because they're all raging narcissists who takes pride in their work and want everyone to know about it. also, their narcissism makes them think they're always able to outsmart the cops
