Humanity needs to know. Don Jr asked POTUS on Father's Day. We know by probability that they are out there, but do we know for a fact? Most of us genuinely want to know for existential reasons, particularly when we find it difficult to believe in religions…we want to know that we aren't alone.
Highest classification? Yes, especially if we have not yet figured out the technology recovered. We wouldn't want a more dangerous country reverse engineering the tech before we do - which leads me to believe that our own government has not figured it out. If we have, then the deep state would have sold it to China by now and used it to dominate the world. So…ufo recovered but not yet understood. Extreme technology hidden from the public.
So keep the tech secret. Give disinfo on what could be dangerous.
What humanity needs to know is…are they nice? Are they mean? Are they a mixture of nice and mean? If they had the tech capable of getting here and yet did not use violence to recover their crafts, then they must not be worried about conflict. If they do not see us as a theeat even with their technology, then perhaps they are peaceful.
What do they look like? Do they resemble Earth life? Are they carbon based lifeforms? Is their home planet/moon nearby? Are there multiple civilizations in contact with us? Have we made contact, or have we only observed that they exist?
It seems to me that an intelligent race capable of Interstellar travel must function rationally and must be able to produce its own resources, which would eliminate the need for offensive war.
I tend to think that real aliens would more closely resemble Contact and The Arrival moreso than Independence Day and War of the Worlds.
Is that accurate? Sorry for long post with questions, but it is important to humanity to know the truth about who is out there. If they are peaceful, then that would be amazing! If they are hostile, then let us prepare.
