Financial Problems Plagued Rick Wilson as He Became Never Trump Leader

Never Trump leader Rick Wilson’s hypocrisy is not limited to now attacking those who support the Confederate flag after previously supporting it himself.

As Wilson’s personal financial situation turned dire in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election, the political operative with a long history of backing bomb-throwing right-wingers began to reinvent himself pursuing what financial records indicate is a more lucrative book-deal-filled career in bashing President Donald Trump and his supporters.

Records demonstrate that as Trump was taking off as a political force, Wilson’s personal financial situation turned dour. The bank was moving in on his house, credit card companies were suing him over debt accrued, and the IRS filed various liens against him for almost $400,000 for back taxes in February 2014. As that happened, Wilson’s political style changed to become anti-Trump instead of continuing with his decades-long history of inflammatory right-wing politics.

Wilson’s The Lincoln Project, a group of Never Trump political consultants running targeted ads attacking Trump this year, has been touting an ad bashing the Confederate flag as a symbol of “treason” against the United States.

“The men who followed this flag 150 years ago knew what it meant,” a narrator says in the ad released earlier this month as a Confederate flag waves in the background. “Treason against their country. The death of the United States. America defeated the men who followed that flag. Those with honor surrendered and cast it aside forever.”

But then some conservatives uncovered social media posts from Wilson and his wife featuring a cooler with a Confederate flag on it as well as the text in one image: “The South Will Rise Again.” Wilson has been feverishly deleting the images from Twitter, and when his wife, Molly—legal name Mary—was confronted by conservative Caleb Hull, she would not deny owning the cooler or disavow the Confederate flag on it. She simply replied “Fuck off” to Hull, per screenshots he posted of his confronting her about it.

Wilson is also getting lots of national attention this week after attempting to shame Dominos Pizza for thanking now White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany for praising their pizza back in 2012. “You just killed your brand,” he tweeted at Dominos with a screenshot of the pizza chain’s 2012 reply to McEnany’s tweet from eight years ago. At the time, McEnany was not in a government political position but was a civilian. Later, Dominos joked in response that it’s “unfortunate” to think the company would be held responsible for something from 2012 in 2020.

But these latest mishaps by Wilson come after years of him leading a small and shrinking band of GOP political consultants who dub themselves Never Trumpers furious with Trump’s rise ahead of their more-preferred 2016 GOP candidates during that year’s primary.

Prior to turning against the party over Trump, Wilson, whose legal name is Frederick George Wilson Jr., had long been a fixture in Republican circles. His career as a media consultant, strategist, and ad-maker is intertwined with several major political events of the last 30 years and his flair for the dramatic—and viciously negative—style of ad could make even Trump’s aggressive nature look timid.

Officially, Wilson, a Florida native, got his start on George H.W. Bush’s successful 1988 presidential campaign. During that race, although only the Florida field director, Wilson was supposedly mentored by Bush’s campaign manager, Lee Atwater—the mastermind behind the infamous Willie Horton television ad.

A Jewish pediatrician who was convicted of possessing and distributing some 190,000 child pornography videos and images can serve as a medical supervisor at the Health Ministry’s student health services department, an Israeli court ruled last week:

"Avraham Barkai will be able to pay visits to schools but not treat children in his new position, which a panel of judges at the Nazareth Regional Labor Court determined that he should be allowed to fill, going against the recommendation of the Civil Service Commission.

Barkai was convicted in 2011 of being part of an international child pornography distribution ring and later sentenced to 18 months behind bars. However, the punishment was reduced on appeal to six months of community service, a nine-month suspended sentence and a NIS 20,000 ($5,690) fine.

For over a year up to his conviction, but after he had already been charged, Barkai continued to practice at a Haifa clinic of the Meuhedet HMO after a Health Ministry disciplinary committee ruled that he could continue to see children as long as a parent or nurse was in the room.

The disciplinary committee went on to rule that despite the charges, Barkai did not pose a danger to children as he had not been accused of physical acts against minors. As a result, it ruled that the pediatrician’s license should only be stripped for two years, and by July 2013 Barkai got his license back….

However, senior officials in the Health Ministry have come to Barkai’s defense. In 2014, the Health Ministry’s senior vice president of Administration and Human Resources, Dov Passat, submitted a letter to the disciplinary committee asserting that there should be nothing preventing Barkai from applying for tenders for positions as a pediatrician. The letter was submitted by Barkai as an official position of the Health Ministry to the Petah Tivka Magistrate’s Court, which ruled in 2018 that he be granted an exemption from the ban on employing convicted sex offenders as he does not pose a risk to the public, even if he works as a pediatrician.

In late 2018, a medical board voted unanimously to award Barkai a position as medical supervisor at the Health Ministry’s student health services department in the northern district. The Civil Service Commission subsequently interfered and blocked the appointment, stating in a 2019 hearing that “while the job at hand does not require clinical care for children, its core is oversight of student services and some of its assignments take place on school grounds and during the school day… Taking into account the nature of the offenses of which Dr. Barkai was convicted, [granting him this position] can greatly damage the image of the Civil Service Commission and the public’s confidence in its institutions.” "

Simply put, Jews — especially Jews in Israel — do not treat pedophilia as a serious crime the way White Christian societies do. The pedophile is always given the benefit of the doubt with reduced prison sentences and cursory slaps on the wrist.

This leniency toward pedophilia, of course, can be found in the Jewish “holy” book, The Talmud, and child rape has literally become a pandemic among religious Jews, according to a whistleblower rabbi.

As the article clearly states, just because you collect and distribute massive amounts of child pornography, it’s doesn’t necessarily follow that you’re a “pedophile” or an actual threat to physically abuse real children.

That’s the kind of “logic” you’ll find throughout The Talmud — Martin Luther referred to it as “talmudic hairsplitting”.

Pedophiles need our ‘protection’, not our condemnation, according to ‘experts’ who just so happen to mostly be Jewish.

The endgame is to recast pedophilia as just another sexual orientation or “lifestyle”, and the public school systems have begun to push this “progressive” perspective.

The telegram was declassified in the 1990s but was not widely available until last week when the National Security Archives, a project affiliated with George Washington University, posted it on its website.

Kennedy who was otherwise close to Israel was furious with its ostensible nuclear weapons program, fearing that the Soviet Union could use it as leverage to maintain its influence in the Middle East.

Eshkol, caught off guard by the tone of the telegram, took seven weeks to assent, and the twice-yearly inspections continued until 1969 when President Richard Nixon ended them.

Also revealed in the trove of documents the NSA posted is the origin of Israel’s oft-repeated credo that it would not be the first to introduce nuclear weapons — a deliberately ambiguous statement that left Israel room to develop the weapons, but not arm them.

Shimon Peres, then the deputy defense minister who later would lead the country as prime minister for two stints and then become president, improvised the statement when he was surprised by Kennedy during a meeting Peres had scheduled with Kennedy’s adviser, Myer Feldman, who also functioned as the administration’s liaison to Israel and the U.S. Jewish community. Unbeknownst to Peres, Kennedy and Feldman had planned the “surprise” encounter.

According to a Hebrew-language Foreign Ministry of Israel account of the April 2 meeting, Kennedy asked Peres into the Oval Office for 30 minutes and questioned him on Israel’s nuclear capacity.

“You know that we follow very closely the discovery of any nuclear development in the region,” Kennedy said. “This could create a very dangerous situation. For this reason, we monitor your nuclear effort. What could you tell me about this?”

Peres improvised, “I can tell you most clearly that we will not introduce nuclear weapons to the region, and certainly we will not be the first.”

Lufthansa’s German Bailout May Shrink With Rival Aid Coming In

Germany and Deutsche Lufthansa AG are considering cutting back the country’s 9 billion-euro ($10.1 billion) aid package as the airline group closes in on additional commitments from Switzerland, Austria and Belgium, people familiar with the discussion said.

The government is ready to lower the burden for Germany’s taxpayers and is weighing whether to reduce an earmarked 3 billion euros of loans to Lufthansa from the state-run Kreditanstalt fuer Wiederaufbau fund, the people said, asking not to be named discussing a confidential matter. The German airline, whose empire includes former national carriers in the three other countries, is eager to keep its bailout costs as low as possible, the people said. No decision has been taken as Lufthansa is in ongoing talks to finalize the packages with the three other countries, and discussions with the European Union, shareholders and staff are ongoing, the people said.

Lufthansa declined to comment. A spokeswoman from Germany’s finance ministry also declined to comment.

The contemplated changes highlight the monumental stakes and complex dynamics that have turned the rescue of Europe’s biggest airline into a white-knuckle ride. Austria has negotiated a 10-year guarantee for Lufthansa’s presence and a commitment that the airline will grow at the same pace in Vienna as at the rival German hubs. This would put pressure on Munich and Frankfurt, after suppliers, authorities and the airport itself all agreed to lower costs to make Vienna more attractive, the people.

Lufthansa and its three units have been working on deals with the respective governments to keep the carrier afloat. In addition to the Germany package including loans and equity, Switzerland is guaranteeing loans of 1.28 billion francs ($1.35 billion), while Austria’s government and the country’s banks will inject 450 million euros.
