Stossel TV on “The Myth of U.S. Mass Shooters”
Dozens of news outlets reported that America has the most mass shooters in the world. Many say that shows America needs more gun control.
CNN claimed that “the U.S. has the most mass shootings”. The WSJ reported that “U.S. leads the world in mass shootings.” Nearly every major media outlet, and Former President Obama, said the same.
But the claim is based on just one study, and the author of that study, Adam Lankford, would not release his data to either John Stossel or researchers in the field.
Economist John Lott says that Lankford’s study has many flaws (our research and data can be downloaded here and data over more years is here).
Lankford claimed to find “complete data” for all mass shootings in 171 countries from 1966 to 2012. But Lott notes that in Lankford’s paper, he doesn’t specify basic details about how he found shootings in so many countries — most of which don’t speak English — before the internet.
Lott notes that finding complete data for mass shooters in just one developing country, such as India in the 1970s, would be an incredible feat, as many shootings would have been reported only in local outlets in the local language.
Lankford has declined to answer questions about how he searched for foreign-language cases.
U.S. mass shootings, on the other hand, are well-documented and hard to miss.
Lott notes that if Lankford missed foreign cases but found all the U.S. ones, his paper’s entire conclusion that the US has the most mass shooters would fall apart.
Did Lankford miss foreign cases? Lankford would not release his data, so Lott and the think tank he runs — the Crime Prevention Research Center — compiled their own count of mass shooters from scratch.
Lott counted more than 3,000 cases around the world — many times more than Lankford found (202.) Lott’s count is also only a partial count; he only tried to find cases in the last 15 years.
Lott attempted to use the same definition of “mass shooter” that Lankford used. In his paper, however, Lankford says he excludes “sponsored terrorism” but does not further define what he means by that.
To be safe, Lott also tried removing all terrorism cases from his data; when he does that, he reports finding some 700 shooters around the world — still more than 3 times what Lankford found in less than one-third the number of years.

We also know today, according to Turley, that the FBI agents did not follow up or question Flynn on any of his statements during their discussion.
And according to the original 302 report that has not been released the agents believed Flynn was truthful with them.
This was all a set up. It was a hit on Mike Flynn.
Jonathan Turley: We do know that for some reason they were hunting for Flynn. They say quite clearly, “We intentionally didn’t remind him he’s got to be careful what he says to us. It can be a crime,” which they did with other witnesses. They skipped the protocols and went directly to him circumventing counsel from the White House. And then when he finally did say something that they thought was not accurate they didn’t raise it. They didn’t correct it. So the question is, why would they be hunting for Flynn at this point. That’s what’s not explained in any of these filings.

The actor was arrested Friday and charged with trying to arrange to have sex with a 13-year-old child on the internet. Within hours of Westmoreland's arrest, Disney announced it had severed all ties with the despicable actor. A spokesperson for Disney Channel said in a statement Friday night:
"Stoney Westmoreland, an actor, working on the series "Andi Mack," was arrested in Salt Lake City today. Given the nature of the charges and our responsibility for the welfare of employed minors, we have released him from his recurring role, and he will not be returning to work on the series which wraps production on its third season next week."
Ironically, and also disturbingly, the age of the child victim, in this case, is the same age as the main characters of the young actors who star in "Andi Mack." The Disney sitcom is a comedy created by Terri Minsky and follows 13-year-old Andi Mack and her best friends. Mack's friends, Cyrus Goodman and Buffy Driscoll, all attend the same middle school in the show.
Westmoreland was arrested where the show is filmed in Utah Friday, according to local news station KSL. Court documents reveal he was arrested for investigation of enticing a minor by Internet or text, which is a second-degree felony in the state. He was also charged with four counts of dealing in materials harmful to a minor which are third-degree felonies.
According to an affidavit filed in Utah's 3rd District Court in Salt Lake City, Westmoreland had begun communicating online with a user who he knew was underage "on an Internet app used for dating and meeting people for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity." The affidavit did not say which app Westmoreland and the child were using.

For months proponents of the UN Migration Pact told us that the pact was non-binding. The response to the many citizens of nation states worldwide having signed country specific petitions was that it was non-binding so there was nothing to worry about, it was going to be good.
The immensely opposed and disastrous document declares unlimited migration to be treated as a human right, thereby deprecating the term ‘illegal migrants’, and criminalises any criticism of migration as hate speech.
The points that raised alarm for most was that it seeks to eliminate all forms of dissent. Media organisations for example, should they criticise anything to do with migration would lose access to state funding. People would be labelled as racists or guilty of hate speech which will now be criminalised. This pact will literally erase our borders.
The question I’ve been asking is if the countries that refused to sign, are they still bound to it being members of the UN. Most people were of the mind that it would only affect the signatories.
Now we know. In a frank exchange with Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel, Mr. Hebner of the AfD drew out an admission that it is, in fact, legally binding. As well, that it will be adopted as rule for all UN Member states once enacted.
Mr. Hebner asks: “You can see for yourself clearly that during the conference, the spokesperson for Morocco emphasised that the agreement was legally binding. He said clearly, in a literal sense, that there is a corresponding legal bond for all nations taking part as well as an obligation of implementation. You and your delegation did not raise a single word of objection to that statement but idly accepted it. I would like to emphasise that the parliamentary motion was not presented at the conference. “
Ms. Merkel’s response not only confirmed what we at Voice of Europe have been suspecting all along, the claim it is indeed binding, but that once voted and accepted it will be valid for all:

Raleigh, N.C. — Gov. Roy Cooper on Friday vetoed legislation setting up the rules for the state's new requirement that voters present photo identification at the polls, calling it "a solution in search of a problem."
The General Assembly is expected to gather next week to override Cooper's decision. Republicans hold a super-majority in both chambers, giving them the numbers to do so without help from legislators in Cooper's party.

said in a statement. "The North Carolina House will override his veto as soon as possible."

It is not, however, the 302 document from the actual January, 2017 interview but an August, 2017 report of Strzok’s recollections of the interview. Flynn’s attorney’s had noted in their memorandum to the courts that the documents revealed that FBI officials made the decision not to provide Flynn with his Miranda Rights, which would’ve have warned him of penalties for making false statements.
McCabe, who has since been fired for lying to the DOJ’s Office of Inspector General about leaking information to the media, also asked Flynn not to have his lawyer present during the initial meeting with the FBI agents. The July 2017 report, however, was the interview with Strzok. It described his interview with Flynn but was not the original Flynn interview. 'Apparent discrepancies within the 302 documents are being questioned by may former senior FBI officials, who state that there are stringent policies in place to ensure that the documents are guarded against tampering.'
On Thursday, FBI Supervisory Agent Jeff Danik told SaraACarter.com that Sullivan must also request all the communications between the two agents, as well as their supervisors around the August 2017 time-frame in order to get a complete and accurate picture of what transpired. Danik, who is an expert in FBI policy, says it is imperative that Sullivan also request “the workflow chart, which would show one-hundred percent, when the 302s were created when they were sent to a supervisor and who approved them.” He stressed, “the bureau policy – the absolute FBI policy – is that the notes must be placed in the system in a 1-A file within five days of the interview.” Danik said that the handwritten notes get placed into the FBI Sentinel System, which is the FBI’s main record keeping system. “Anything beyond five business days is a problem, eight months is a disaster,” he added. In the redacted 302 report Strzok and Pientka said they “both had the impression at the time that Flynn was not lying or did not think he was lying.” Information that Flynn was not lying was first published and reported by SaraACarter.com.
Flynn was found guilty by Mueller on one count of lying to the FBI. Supporters of Flynn have questioned Mueller’s tactics in getting the retired three-star general to plead guilty to this one count of lying. n the report, the two agents describe Flynn as being very open and noted said Flynn “clearly saw the FBI agents as allies.” Flynn is described as discussing a variety of “subjects.” The report includes his openness regarding Trump’s “knack for interior design,” the hotels he stayed at during his campaign, as well as other issues. The documents turned over by Mueller also reveal that other FBI personnel “later argued about the FBI’s decision to interview Flynn.”

So Q was posting earlier about guardians of intelligence and it got me thinking about a little known episode that happened back in 1926 involving what was essentially two boiled eggs that were given the power of speech through radioactive genetic engineering. I don't think of it as a competition, I think of it as personal preference. Or like a rivalry between divisions in the MIL. Day shift is hard-nosed (probably because of the barrage of Brock-paid 9-5 shills), and night shift is kinda out in the ether. This is all based on US time zones of course, but I personally enjoy night shift better. Most of my fondest memories and interactions thus far came at night. You get yelled at during the day if you try to bring up the more out-there thoughts and perspectives.
