Husband: Swollen foot from shop accident. Doct said to watch for blood poisoning. Anti biotics no go. Out of work for a week because boot wouldn't fit from swelling. I made him toss down a 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric with a touch of black pepper in heated water. Next day: Swelling gone. Back to work within 15 hours of ingesting.

I noticed that there are several lines of people people getting money

Thought I would ask advice on what you think about back surgery. I am not old was athlet got into accident but over 6 years my back has Progressively got worse. 55 degree curve in spine need rods and cages from head to hips. Cant take the pain anymore. But it’s a hell of a surgery 2 days 9 hours. Technology has not advanced very much for spinal surgery. There are no herbs or physical therapy fixing this it’s severe. Any thoughts?

Gov. Walker activates National Guard for Election Day

MADISON, Wis. —

Republican Gov. Scott Walker on Friday activated Wisconsin National Guard troops for Election Day, saying he wants the Guard's cybersecurity team ready to help election officials if needed.

Walker's executive order authorized the Guard's commander, Adjutant General Donald Dunbar, to provide "essential services" to the state Elections Commission.

Election security has been a nationwide concern since Russian efforts in 2016 to target state networks. Guard spokeswoman Maj. Joy Staab said the order will allow cybersecurity teams to deploy quickly if election clerks need help. Staab said the Guard wasn't aware of any cyber threats.

Meagan Wolfe, the commission's executive director, said during a conference call that the state's election system is secure from hackers. She called the activation a precaution, and said the commission had not asked for the assistance.

Wisconsin was among the states targeted by Russian hackers before the 2016 election. Federal and state officials have said Wisconsin's election systems weren't compromised, but the state and Elections Commission have taken steps to increase security. The state got nearly $7 million in federal money to do so, and the commission has earmarked some of it for additional technical and security staff.

A Department of Homeland Security official, Alex Joves, said last month that no new threats had been detected in Wisconsin ahead of the midterm election.

Elections Commission spokesman Reid Magney said the only time voters might see troops is if officials need help moving a polling site in a natural disaster. He said troops won't be involved in election operations.

Walker is locked in a tight race with Democratic challenger Tony Evers.

Georgia “Loses” Over 5,000 Ballots After Judge Orders Halt Of Voter Purge

Mike Papantonio: Late last week, a judge ruled that the state of Georgia can no longer throw out provisional ballots due to signature mismatches, giving us a little hope that maybe the election process in Georgia might not be as corrupt as we thought. I don’t know. I looked at this story. Here’s what they’re doing. They’re looking at ballot A, then they’re looking at a signature by the person who signed ballot A. They’re saying, “Well, it doesn’t match perfectly, so I’m going to throw it out.” Now, these aren’t handwriting experts. These are people, you know, Billy Bob, working in the election office saying, “Well, it just doesn’t look like the same thing to me.” What’s your take on it?

Farron Cousins: What we’re seeing happen in Georgia right now is absolutely just kind of the culmination of years of everybody ignoring voter purges, voter intimidation, all of that, and this is what happens. Every time, they kind of stretch it a little bit further. This signature mismatch issue where they were throwing out hundreds and hundreds of ballots is absolutely just the next evolution of this kind of voter suppression. You got a very tight race for governor happening in Georgia right now.

Mike Papantonio: Yeah.

Farron Cousins: There’s been a lot of people already purged from the voting rolls. But you got to take it a step further. This is, like you said, just regular people working in the office looking, “Well, is this the same? Well, it’s probably the same, but they dotted their I a little different here. So, yeah, throw it out.” But here’s the kicker. After the judge ruled you can’t throw these out anymore, you have to count them, a day or two later, the election officials came out and said, “We’ll count them, but we’ve lost them now. We’ve lost over 5,000 of them at this point.”

Mike Papantonio: Yeah. Oh, my God. Yeah.

Farron Cousins: “And we don’t know where they are.”

Mike Papantonio: This is Florida all over again.

Farron Cousins: Yeah. It is.

Mike Papantonio: Georgia looks at what happened in Florida, what, eight years ago. They got away with it. They scammed the system. Here, I thought it was interesting. Okay, 37% of all of the ballots across the state that were thrown out, 37% came from the one county. Now, right on its face that says, “Maybe there’s a problem here.” But I think the real story here, and I love this part of the story, is that you have lawyers, organizations, the bar, for example, part of the bar organization in Georgia said, “This isn’t right. We’re going to take it head on,” and at least made it public. The argument is not that many ballots have been thrown out, but we don’t know the answer to that.

Farron Cousins: Right.

Mike Papantonio: That’s their argument. We didn’t really throw that many ballots out, so we don’t really know how bad all of this is going to affect the election process.

Farron Cousins: Right. We’re also looking at the Secretary of State, Brian Kemp, who happens to also be the Republican candidate for governor.

Mike Papantonio: Yeah.

Farron Cousins: He also says about these lost ballots, “They’re not lost. We haven’t lost any.” Okay, well, where are they? You have to count them. “Well, they don’t exist.” There are so many conflicting stories.

It is a technological advancement so shocking to modern-minded paradigms that many can do little but sit back in defeatist chagrin as science fiction shows us its darker side.

The SCS seems relatively simple. Every citizen in China, which now has numbers swelling to well over 1.3 billion, would be given a score that, as a matter of public record, is available for all to see. This citizen score comes from monitoring an individual’s social behavior — from their spending habits and how regularly they pay bills, to their social interactions — and it’ll become the basis of that person’s trustworthiness, which would also be publicly ranked.

This actually sounds worse than an Orwellian nightmare.

A citizen’s score affects their eligibility for a number of services, including the kinds of jobs or mortgages they can get, and it also impacts what schools their children qualify for. In this respect, the SCS resembles one of the most chilling episodes from Black Mirror’s third season. Incidentally, the show isn’t really known as a “feel-good” flick. It presents various dystopian views of society, but China’s SCS proves reality is darker than fiction.

This “service” isn’t slated to go full-swing until 2020, but China has already started a voluntary implementation of the SCS by partnering with a number of private companies in order to iron out the algorithmic details needed for such a large-scale, data-driven system.

The companies that are working in this respect include China Rapid Finance, which is a partner of social network giant Tencent, and Sesame Credit, a subsidiary of Alibaba affiliate company Ant Financial Services Group (AFSG). Both Rapid Finance and Sesame Credit have access to intimidating quantities of data, the former through its WeChat messaging app (at present with 850 million active users) and the latter through its AliPay payment service.

According to local media, Tencent’s SCS comes with its QQ chat app, where an individual’s score comes in a range between 300 and 850 and is broken down into five sub-categories: social connections, consumption behavior, security, wealth, and compliance.
