Obama Appears With, Endorses Nevada Candidate Just Days After Ex-Wife Levels Abuse Charges
The ex-wife of gubernatorial candidate Steve Sisolak said he bruised her during an altercation with Sisolak after she filed for divorce in 2000.
Dallas Garland said she was treated like “a total prisoner” throughout her 13-year marriage with the Nevada Democrat.
Former President Barack Obama and Nevada Democratic senatorial candidate Jacky Rosen — who tweeted “Believe women” in September — and other Nevada Democrats did not respond when asked to comment on the allegations after they endorsed Sisolak.
Former President Barack Obama and other Democrats won’t comment on allegations levied against gubernatorial candidate Steve Sisolak by his ex-wife, including one that the Nevada Democrat bruised his former spouse.
Lori “Dallas” Garland told The Daily Caller News Foundation that she felt like “a total prisoner” throughout her 13-year marriage with Sisolak, and said the single-father backstory he has leveraged throughout his gubernatorial campaign is “bull.” Garland also said Sisolak bruised her neck in an August 2000 incident.
TheDCNF reviewed pictures of Garland’s bruised neck and a contemporaneous diary entry detailing the incident. The Sisolak campaign provided sworn statements from the candidate’s daughters, who say the saw the event when they were children, denying that he assaulted Garland.
Obama appeared alongside Sisolak at a campaign rally in Las Vegas on Monday, along with senatorial candidate Jacky Rosen, congressional candidate Susie Lee, and lieutenant governor candidate Kate Marshall. None of the Democrats returned repeated request for comment regarding the allegations.
TheDCNF first reported Garland’s allegations against Sisolak the Friday before the rally.
Sisolak stands to be Nevada’s first Democratic governor in 20 years if he wins a tight race against his Republican opponent, Adam Laxalt.
“These are disturbing charges with significant evidence,” Laxalt campaign Communications Director Parker Briden previously told TheDCNF. “Domestic violence always deserves to be taken seriously.”
A spokesman for the Republican Governors Association similarly called the allegations “disturbing.”
The Sisolak campaign did not deny that a physical altercation occurred between Garland and Sisolak in August 2000. The campaign provided sworn statements from Sisolak’s two daughters, Ashley and Carley Sisolak, who were, respectively, 13 and 10 at the time.
Their statements, put together, share similarities with the account Garland detailed in her diary, but said Garland was the aggressor and injured their father.

Even more worrying is the fact that this is not the first time that Google has covered up for an executive accused of sexual misconduct. The article goes on to say: Mr. Rubin was one of three executives that Google protected over the past decade after they were accused of sexual misconduct. In two instances, it ousted senior executives, but softened the blow by paying them millions of dollars as they departed, even though it had no legal obligation to do so. In a third, the executive remained in a highly compensated post at the company. Each time Google stayed silent about the accusations against the men.

“Francis may have natural sympathy for Communists because for him, they are the persecuted,” Zen wrote. “He doesn’t know them as the persecutors they become once in power, like the Communists in China.” And while supporters of the accord say that it brings unity after longstanding division between the underground Church loyal to the pope and the “official” church approved by the Chinese authorities, in reality it is “a major step toward the annihilation of the real Church in China,” Zen said. “Pope Francis, an Argentine, doesn’t seem to understand the Communists,” Zen added, perhaps because of his experience in South America he sees them as defenders of the poor against oppressors. The cardinal recalled that after China severed relations with the Vatican in the 1950s, Catholics and other believers were arrested and sent to labor camps. “I went back to China in 1974 during the Cultural Revolution; the situation was terrible beyond imagination. A whole nation under slavery. We forget these things too easily,” Zen said. “We also forget that you can never have a truly good agreement with a totalitarian regime,” he said.
The beginning of the end, he proposed, was when Slovak Cardinal Jozef Tomko “who understood communism” was replaced in 2002 by a “young Italian with no foreign experience” in overseeing the Church’s international missionary work. The newcomer “began legitimizing official Chinese bishops too quickly, too easily, creating the impression that now the Vatican would automatically second Beijing’s selection,” Zen said. “Today, we have Pope Francis,” Zen said. “Naturally optimistic about communism, he is being encouraged to be optimistic about the Communists in China by cynics around him who know better.”
In the face of recent experience, the cardinal said he has revised his earlier opinions regarding the pope’s choices of aides. “I was among those who applauded Francis’s decision to appoint Pietro Parolin as secretary of state in 2013,” he said. “But I now think that Cardinal Parolin cares less about the Church than about diplomatic success. His ultimate goal is the restoration of formal relations between the Vatican and Beijing.” Zen also likened China to the situation in Cuba, where a Francis visit in 2015 accomplished little besides media hype. “But what did Francis’s visit to Cuba in 2015 bring the Church? The Cuban people? Almost nothing. And did he convert the Castro brothers?” Zen asks rhetorically.
What the new accord will actually achieve, Zen warns, is the suppression of the good bishops of the underground Church who are faithful to Rome. “The Vatican’s deal, struck in the name of unifying the Church in China, means the annihilation of the real Church in China,” he said. Zen said that if he were a cartoonist he would “draw the Holy Father on his knees offering the keys of the kingdom of heaven to President Xi Jinping and saying, ‘Please recognize me as the pope.’” The cardinal ends his essay with an appeal to the underground bishops and priests of China, asking them not to start a revolution, which would only mean their ruin. “Go home, and pray with your family,” he said. “Till the soil. So I have formed a picture in my mind about what is going on here.

It is now time for a cleansing. The people who were put in place to begin with by these leaders,whoever they are - are being wiped and exchanged for an upgraded control system of earth ala the Georgia Guidestones.

The landmark reform came after two heartbreaking and high profile cases of medicinal cannabis helping children suffering from severe epilepsy.
The team of researchers, led by Professor Jürg Gertsch, then biochemically and pharmacologically compared THC and perrottetinene.
Using animal models, the team was able to demonstrate that perrottetinene reaches the brain very easily.
The tests also found the compound has a stronger anti-inflammatory effect in the brain than THC.
Researchers found perrottetinene was less psychoactive than THC, but said more studies were necessary to look at chronic and inflammatory pain.
The study, published in the journal Science Advances, said cannabis is rarely used medically because it can have a strong psychoactive effect.
Professor Gertsch began investigating the pharmacological effects of perrottetinene after discovering liverworts were being sold as legal highs online.
Andrea Chicca, a member of scientific staff in Dr Gertsch’s group, said there is the potential for developing the therapeutic use of perrottetinene or similar substances.
He added: 'This natural substance has a weaker psychoactive effect and, at the same time, is capable of inhibiting inflammatory processes in the brain.'
The Home Secretary insisted the dramatic change in policy on medicinal cannabis change was not the first step towards the broader legalisation of cannabis.
Cannabis was previously considered Schedule 1. Drugs in this class are thought to have no medicinal value and therefore cannot be legally possessed or prescribed.
Schedule 2 drugs, such as ketamine, are those that can be prescribed and supplied by doctors and pharmacists.

Kennedy: Avenatti has no future in politics
With all the horrible news about pipe bombs and possible assasination attempts, it's the kind of moment, in a nonstop series of ongoing moments, that makes us ask what kind of political beast have we manufactured in this laboratory of democracy?
President Trump is not the mad scientist, if anything he is the creature, but are we ready for the bride of Frankenstein when this adminstration is done?
People like Michael Avenatti have completely miscalculated the president's success and are only reacting to his effects. Avenatti sees chaos, attention and ascension, and feels if he does a really bad impression of the man he's obsessed with, maybe someday he'll land, by dumb luck, in the same position. He won't, because Democrats hate him.
Avenatti rose to fame as the bigger who-a in the Stormy Daniels duo, but he's also the guy who trotted out the cringingly uncredible Julie Swetnick as a gang rape-shrieking character assassin in the Kavanaugh chronicles.
When this woman, with super creep's help, plopped a hot pile of allegations in the midst of Justice Kavanaugh's troubles, it was obvious if the allegations were true his life was over. But what if they're false? That's what Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley is banking on by referring Avenatti and Swetnick to the FBI & DOJ for lying, that this pungent pair cooked up this disgusting ruse in some opportunistic oven hoping to tank Brett but it had the opposite effect, didn't it.
Avenatti responded to the Grassley referral with this statement:
"This is clearly political. And fortunately for us, Senator Grassley isn't too smart – or should I say bright. This was a major mistake on his part. He just cracked open the door and I'm going to drive a Mack truck through it."
What does that even mean? And this is a guy who's going to run for president? He just lost a major battle in the Stormy defamation case, and a different judge ruled he owes another lawyer almost 5 million dollars, and that's in addition to the 1.2 million in personal tax liens.
So he's unethical, blustery, bad at math, unstable, irresponsible and willing to stop at nothing to prove a point, even if continuing on the path to hell destroys everyone around him.
In an era of pipe bombs the last thing we need is another bomb thrower whose claim to fame is being an attention seeking, garden variety sociopath.
