The Crown Prince's comments represent the most forceful repudiation of Khashoggi's killing since the country's energy minister decried Khashoggi's death as "abhorrent" during the opening day of the initiative.
After his brief remarks about the Khashoggi scandal, MbS turned to the subject of the Saudi economy, discussing his Vision 2030 mega-projects, which elicited several rounds of applause from the mostly Saudi audience. Has this kind of thing happened before?
Abortion clinic blessings have happened in the past — and at least once before in Ohio.
Three years ago this month, 15 Christian ministers and rabbis gathered outside the Preterm clinic in Cleveland to bless the abortion facility, which may have been the first event of its kind in Ohio.
“Bless this building. May its walls stand strong against the onslaught of shame thrown at it,” said the Very Rev. Tracey Lind of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. “May it be a beacon of hope for those who need its services.”
In January 2017, more than 20 faith leaders blessed a Planned Parenthood facility in Washington, D.C. “This confirms the sacredness of the work we do,” Laura Meyers, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, said regarding the ceremony.

Others have advocated for more immediate options - including declaring a state of emergency in order to provide the administration with a wide range of options over how to manage the caravan, including rescinding aid and forcing arriving families to choose months in detention with their children or releasing them into government shelters until a relative or guardian can take them.
President Trump has advocated for much of the latter approach - calling the caravan a national emergency, threatening to deploy troops, and pulling aid.
"They're not coming in. We're going to do whatever we have to, they're not coming in," Trump said on Tuesday.
